Digi Doodle challenge #14 – GDT card

Wow my week off work is flying by – it’s already Thursday (boohoo).  I’m back to share with you my last GDT card for the digi doodle challenge and our theme is “dots and/or circles”.  Its a simple theme so we expect to see lots of lovely entries again this week.  Now I do have a confession to make – when I made my card and emailed it to Kym I realised that I’d forgotten about the theme (d’oh) but luckily for me I did include some dotty ribbon on my card so it passed phew!  Here is my card:

Sorry the image seems a little “pale” but again my printer wasn’t co-operating.  I used a gorgeous image from the digi doodle shop called “mermaid” and added stickles to her tail for a sparkly effect.  I hope you think the branches look like seaweed or some sort of underwater plant ‘cos that’s the effect I was going for lol!

The lucky winner will receive $10.00 to spend in the Digi Doodle Shop.  You will definitely have no trouble spending it – they have some very gorgeous images to drool over.

Please check out the rest of the DT creations as they are really stunning.  They are a very talented bunch of ladies and they really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for them.

I can also enter my card into the following challenges:

Quirky crafts challenge – ribbon

The crazy challenge – make it in an hour

Die cut dreams challenge – life’s a beach (mermaids can appear at the beach!!)

Lexi’s creations challenge – layers

I even over-slept for work this morning (but luckily where I work they are very understanding and I didn’t have to stay late to make up for it ‘phew’).

Susie’s sassy challenge #12 – DT card

Well it’s finally here – the last ever challenge for Susie’s sassy challenge.  Susie has decided that she needs to cut back on her challenge blogs and unfortunately as this one was the last one she set up it’s had the chop!!  I will be so sad to see it go as I’ve had a whale of a time and the girls on the DT are a fab bunch and a pleasure to work with.  I hope you will be able to join in with us for our final challenge and send us off with a bang :)

Our final challenge for the next two week is ‘me and my pets’, so come on dig out all your animal stamps and digi’s and get to work!

SSC #12 - pets

SSC #12 pets (side view)

SSC #12 - pets (close up)

Our sponsor this week is Di’s digi downloads and the DT were lucky enough to be given some of her images to work with!  For my card I used ‘Maisy and Kaboodle, reaching for presents’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I decided as it was the last challenge for us I would try and make something a little different.  After a quick mooch around SCS I thought I’d have a go at making a ‘spring’ card.  Now this is the first time I’ve made one and I have to say I’m quite pleased with how it turned out, although I’ll try and make it a bit bigger next time.  The papers I used are from Inque Boutique and the paper pad is called ‘cabana’.  The flowers were punched out of the papers with my medium and small ek success retro flower punches and the leaves were cut with my L’em punch.  The adhesive glitter dots were from QVC a long time ago and the sentiment is by whiff of joy.

Please snag my blinkie

The lucky winner of this challenge will win 2 digi images from Di’s digi downloads online store – you’ll be spoiled for choice as she has lots of adorable images to choose from.

My card also fits in with the following challenges:

Stamptacular challenge – sugar & spice and everything nice

Incy wincy designs challenge – fancy folds

Pollycraft challenge – anything goes

Sophisticat challenge – raining cats and dogs (cat on my image)

Magical crafts challenge – animal antics

Crafty cardmakers challenge – a challenging challenge

I love promarkers challenge – animals

Stampavie and more challenge – use some green on your project

I hope you can find the time to enter our challenge and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Have a brilliant Thursday.  Thanks for stopping by.

The Greeting Farm CHA digi relay

cards4 004

cards4 005

This is my card for The Greeting Farm’s CHA digi relay.  Every day they are giving a free digi image to everyone but you have to make a card using the previous days free digi to get the next one.  This is a very quick post as the deadline for the first card is almost up!!  The first free digi is this super cute image called merman Ian and I coloured him with my promarkers.  The papers are DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  I cut out the image with my oval nesties and I used my L’em branch punch to make it look like seaweed at the bottom of the sea.  I found these clear adhesive dots in my stash and I thought they looked a lot like bubbles so I dotted those around the image.  I added stickles to his tail and around his waist.  I used my MS scalloped border punch for the decorative edge.  I haven’t added a sentiment yet as I’m not sure who the lucky recipient will be.  Thanks for stopping by today.

SWF #43 - Baby

SWF #43 - Baby (close up)

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at stamp with fun.  This week our theme is ‘baby’ and as you know I love making baby cards!!  It was actually good timing as a lady at work asked me to make a keepsake card for her grand-daughter (who was born in December) so that she could put it in her memory box.  I used a gorgeous digi image from Victoria Case Art Designs and coloured it with my promarkers.  The papers are by craft creations and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive stones were a birthday present from my fellow welsh blogger Clare.  The gorgeous lace and flowers are from tabby crafts and I added stickles to the flowers for a bit of extra bling.  The leaves were cut with my L’em punch and I used my new oval nesties to cut out the image.  My finished card is A5 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Kreativart and the lucky winner will receive some very pretty 3D stickers.

Bee crafty challenge #18

b'day card (5)

b'day card (5) close up

This is my card for the current bee crafty challenge, which is ‘add some sparkle’.  I made for this for my niece’s 16th birthday last Monday.  The image is digital and is by sketching stamper and is called ‘vicki shops’.  I coloured the image with my promarkers.  The gorgeous glittery paper is by DCWV from the glitter stack (and this was my last piece *sob*) and the grid papers is doodlebug.  The flowers are from my stash and the leaves were punched with my L’em punch.  The sentiments were created on the pc (the round one was cut with my nesties and the oval one with my SU oval punches) and the adhesive glittery dots were from QVC.

It was my son’s 13th birthday yesterday (Saturday) and I can’t believe that my baby is now a teenager *yikes*).  We went for a birthday treat of pizza and cinema.  He wanted to see 2012 and it was quite good, although I was a typical girl and cried in all the sad bits!!  Here is a picture of my son taken in the summer (he’ll kill me if he sees this).

holiday 2009

I’m also going to enter my card for a spoonfull of sugar challenge as their challenge this week is a colour combo of brown plus either pink or blue.  Obviously I have used pink but there is a bit of orange too so I hope this will still count.  I hope you are all having a fab weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

PFP challenge 17 - polka dots (close up)

This week over at passion for promarkers our new challenge is any colours of promarkers but we would like you to use ‘polka dots’ somewhere on your project.  This week’s challenge was chosen by the lovely Debbi.  I decided to use a digi-image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘becky’ and coloured her with the following new promarkers:

Hair – tan & caramel

Cupcake – honeycomb & cerise

Trousers and ribbons in hair – peach & mango

Top, and shoes – Baby pink & pink carnation

Skin – ivory, blush & pastel pink (all old colours)

The papers and ribbon are SU and the flowers are from ikea (I removed the plastic centre, added stickles to the petals and added a PM pearl brad in the middle).  I used my martha stewart zigzag embossed punch for the decorative edge and L-em leaf punch for the white leaves.  The glittery dots are PM.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarkers.  Don’t forget to check out the DT cards as they are gorgeous.  I look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your dotty creations.

PFP challenge 12 - cocoa & rose pink (close up)

Welcome to week 12 over at Passion for Promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Natalie has chosen the colour combo of Cocoa and Rose Pink.  I decided to stamp my new sugar nellie manga image and I coloured it with the following promarkers:

Dress, boots and bows – rose pink, blossom (and cocoa for buttons)

Tights and sleeves – rose pink and cocoa (highlights with white gel pen)

Hair – cocoa

Skin – Ivory, blush and pastel pink

Shading around image – cool grey 1

The pink paper is doodlebug cupcake swiss dot (available from dies to die for) and the brown paper is SU.  I cut out the image with my new ‘labels 3’ nesties (birthday money again).  The flower was made by punching two medium ek success flowers and adding a brad in the centre, which says sweetie, quite apt I think!  The leaves were punched out with my L-em leaf punch (available at the hobby house here)and the adhesive pearl is kanban.  The super cute sentiment is PB.
