CCT #58

This is my card for this week's CCT which is 'mirror mirror' (use something shiny!). I was asked by a friend at work to make a new home card and this is what I came up with. I used dp and a topper that came free in a craft magazine and plain cs from the papermill shop. The sentiment was created on the pc and the ribbon was from my stash. The large flower was also from my stash and the smaller flower was punched out with my ek success retro flower punch. My "shiny" things are the adhesive stones by PM, the brad (from stash) and the stickles that I added to the roof of the house. Thanks for stopping by.

Penny black #46

The PB challenge this week is 'anything goes' so I thought it would be an ideal time to show you another Mother's Day card that I hadn't uploaded yet. I stamped the PB 'roses on the run' image (becoming a favourite) and coloured it with my pro-markers and adding stickles to the roses. The dp is gorgeous cosmo cricket and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The flowers are from my stash and the gem brad is PM. The sentiment was created on the pc and I added some doodling around the edges with a black fineliner pen. I used a woodware scalloped circle punch to cut out the image. Thanks for stopping by.

Sympathy card

This is a sympathy card I made for a friend at work. First of all I cut a cross using a sizzix die and then ran it through the CB with the divine swirls embossing folder. I entwined a single rose around the cross (from ebay) and attached to my cs base with foam pads. The lush dp is BG and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment is stamps away and the decorative border was created with my fiskars border punch. I added some dots around the panels with a fineliner pen. Thanks for stopping by.

My husband's birthday card

This is the card I made for my husband's birthday just over a week ago. Now I have to say that although my husband likes my cards he is really not a 'card person' and doesn't really mind what it's like as long as he gets one. With this in mind I didn't really go over the top with my creation (bearing in mind that I made it at 11pm the night before his birthday haha!). I stamped the stamping bella 'beerafella' image and coloured him with pro-markers. The dp is BG from the archaic paper pad and the plain cs is bazzill. The sentiment was created on the pc and the faux buttons were punched out with a 1" SU paper punch. A simple card for a simple man LOL!! Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake Craft Challenge

This is my DT card for the Cupcake Craft Challenge, which this week has been chosen by my fellow DT member Caryn and it is '5 embellishments'. This wasn't particularly hard for me as I love embellishments, so the more the merrier! I stamped my new sugar nellie image 'catch a butterfly' and coloured her with pro-markers, adding stickles to her hairband, pockets and the butterfly. I used free dp from a craft magazine and white cs from my stash. The adhesive pearls are kaiser craft and the ribbon is from my stash. The flowers and brad (which I coloured with my pastel pink pro-marker) are also from my stash and the spacer is from ebay. (So my five embellishments are 1. ribbon, 2. flowers, 3. brad, 4. adhesive pearls, 5. spacer and if you count stickles that's 6 haha). I love this image and I've been trying to get it for ages, I can see me using it lots. I can't wait to see all your embellished creations. Thanks for stopping by.

Edited to add - still not sorted my email, but as soon as I do I will let you all know LOL!

Papertake challenge/Forever friends challenge

I'm cutting it fine for these challenges, which end tomorrow lol! The papertake challenge is a great sketch by Dawny and the FF challenge is 'St George's Day' which means red and white! I stamped the FF image and coloured it with my pro-markers adding a white dot the centres of the flowers with a gel pen. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the floral background I stamped myself using a SU real red stampin' spot and the flower trio stamp from the one of a kind stamp set. The decorative edge was cut with my fiskars border punch and the brads are from my stash. I hope it's ok but I didn't add a sentiment as I don't know who is going to be the recipient of this card just yet.

I just wanted to let you know that I am changing my internet provider tomorrow and until it becomes live I won't be able to get onto the internet. Also I don't know what my new email address will be either. As soon as I can get on here and change everything you will be the first to know lol! Thanks for stopping by.

Crafty Muse Challenge

Firstly, I'm sorry I haven't been around for a few days (not like me is it lol) I've been feeling a little "under the weather". I've just wanted to sleep all weekend, and haven't made a single card (shock horror). Anyway still not feeling 100% but still in the land of the living haha! This is a card I made for an order and it also fits the challenge on crafty muse this week which is 'lots of dots'. I used the greeting farm 'geisha anya' image and coloured her with pro-markers. The dp is both doodlebug (although I did colour the little flowers on the dp with my red pro-marker so that it would co-ordinate a little more). The red cs is from the papermill shop and the flowers and brad are from my stash. The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive pearls are kanban. Hopefully will be back with another card later, to make up for my missing days lol. Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by.

Stamptacular challenge #3

This is my card for this week's stamptacular sunday challenge, which 'black, white + one'. I have obviously decided to go with black, white and orange, not a combination I would normally use but I love the finished result. I used a download by Sally-Ann Hancock from Grab-a-doodle-do and coloured it with my pro-markers (hopefully the tiny bit of green on the leaves will be allowed). The dp is all SU and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The flowers are cut with woodware, ek success and x-cut punches and the ribbon is from my stash. The adhesive stones are kaiser craft and the stamped sentiment is daisy bucket designs. I used a corner rounder to round the edges of my cs and dp. I hope you're all enjoying the glorious weather we've been having lately, not sure it's going to last much longer though (grrr....). Thanks for stopping by.

DU2DS #3/Sketch saturday #47

This week's dare you to digi stamp challenge is 'pink and green' and the sketch saturday challenge is a fab sketch. I used a digi download from grab-a-doodle-do and coloured her with my pro-markers. The floral dp is BG and the green gingham dp is by craft creations. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the sentiment is stamping bella. The circle was cut with my new nestie and run through the CB with the swiss dots embossing folder. The flowers are from my amazing candy from Sally-Ann and the adhesive dot is from QVC. The pink candy dots are pebbles inc. The decorative edge on the pink cs was cut with my fiskars threading water paper punch. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamps & Smiles sketch #11 /CCT #56

This is my entry for this week's stamp and smiles sketch and for the cute card thursday challenge, which this week is 'floral fantasy'. I stamped the sugar nellie (Leanne Ellis design) image 'cup of tea' and coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I used my fiskars border punch for the decorative edge (not sure what it's called) and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment is stamping bella and the flowers were punched out with woodware and ek success punches. I also used my new nestie to cut out the circle. Thanks for stopping by.

The Sugar Bowl #8

This is my entry for this week's Sugar Bowl challenge, which is a sketch by Tiet. I stamped the sugar nellie image 'a little birdie told me' and coloured her with my pro-markers (but sadly for the little birdie I didn't ink him up lol!). The dp is BG from the sugared paper pad and the cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment was created on the pc and the pink candy dots are by pebbles inc. The olive coloured flower was punched out with my woodware paper punch (twice) onto white card and coloured with a pro-marker (not a bad colour match) and the pink flower is from my stash. This sketch was quite tricky to use but I love the finished result. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamptacular #2

The theme over at the stamptacular sunday challenge this week is 'this is for the birds' so I thought this PB image was perfect. I stamped the 'basket of chicks' image and coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment is also PB and the adhesive stones are PM. A simple card but I'm really happy with it. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Hubby!

My husband (Heath) is going to kill me for posting this but I wanted to wish him a very happy 42nd birthday. He is a great husband and father and does so much for us, although let's not build him up too much, he's not perfect lol! We went out for pizza and a look around the shops today and he treated himself to a few things. So hubster I'm sending you all my love and look forward to spending many more years together (awww!). Thanks for stopping by.

Sketch & Stash #8

This card was ordered by my auntie for her friends anniversary. I decided to use this week's sketch and stash sketch as my inspiration. I used my new PB stamp 'snuggle' and coloured it with my pro-markers. The lovely dp is all SU (again part of the paper share from Jules) and the sentiment was created on the pc. The adhesive stones are PM. I don't normally leave any white on my cards but I think this card looks quite nice with the white background. Thanks for stopping by.

OSCC #24 & ABC challenge 'J'

This card was ordered by my auntie for her friend. I used a FF image and coloured it with pro-markers, adding highlights with a white gel pen. The gorgeous dp is BG and from the boxer and cupcake paper pads. The flowers are imaginisce bitty blossoms and the brad is from my stash. The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive stones are PM. I am entering this card for the OSCC this week which is 'torn' and the ABC challenge which is 'J for jagged edge'. Thanks for looking.

Sketch saturday #46

This is a card that I made for the sketch over on this week's sketch saturday challenge. However I have now noticed that I've put the sentiment in the wrong place so I'll understand if it's not eligible. (I'm really have a "blonde" week this week - no offence to blondes out there lol). I used my new FF image and coloured him with my pro-markers. The dp is all BG from the cupcake paper pad and the sentiment is stampendous. The adhesive stones are PM. I'll be back later with another card. Thanks for stopping by.

Thursday, 16 April 2009

I'm on the wrong week haha!

This card was made for an order for work. I decided to join in with the new challenge blog dare u 2 digi stamp (du2ds) as I have quite a lot of digital images now. I printed off the sketch and set to work. I used the lovely Lizzie download from Grab-a-doodle-do and coloured her with my pro-markers. The dp is all BG from the eva paper pad and the sentiment was created on the pc. The button is from my stash and the sticky ribbon is anita's. However imagine my surprise when I discovered that du2ds was now on week 2 and the theme was bling. As you know I add gems on practically every card I make .......... except this one, typical!! Never mind, that's what you get for being old lol! Thanks for stopping by.
