Last week I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the top 3 cards on the raise the bar challenge and my prize was a guest bar-tender slot for today’s new challenge. Our theme was “my retreat” and I used my living room as my inspiration. Basically since we’ve had Sky multi-room put in upstairs my children never watch TV downstairs so I can record and watch whatever I want, whenever I want, without having to fight over the remote – bliss!! My living room has a red accent wall and cream walls and a red leather settee and light brown units and wood floor – so I used these colours for the basis of my card:
I can also enter my card into the following challenges:
I love promarkers challenge – sketch
A spoonfull of sugar challenge – 3d something (my image and sentiment are both on 3d foam)
Everybody art challenge – song title (mine is pretty woman by Roy Orbison)
Magical crafts challenge – something for the girls
OSAAT challenge – flowers
Stamp, scrap & doodle challenge – girlie project
Creative cottage challenge – circles
Charisma cardz challenge – girly card with flowers
Digi doodle challenge – anything goes
DU2DS challenge – flowers
I hope you all having a good Friday, my day has been emotionally draining. My father is in hospital having a knee replacement and he went to theatre this morning. He was fine the first time I popped in to say hello but by visiting time this afternoon he was in tremendous pain and didn’t know what to do with himself. I actually cried as I left him as I felt so sorry for him. Hopefully he will be a little better tomorrow and then the hard work starts – getting him back on his feet. Although I will be back and forth the hospital visiting my father I am so looking forward to this long weekend as work is crazy at the moment.
Have a wonderful weekend, whatever you are doing. I hope the weather improves a bit though, it’s horrible here.
