Stampavie & more #88 – GDT card

Stampavie & more #88 - friends

Stampavie & more #88 - friends (close up)

I’m really sad as today is my final guest designer card for the stampavie and more challenge.  Wow I cannot believe where March has gone!!  Our theme this week is ‘friends/friendship’ and for my card I have used an image by DigiStamp Boutique called ‘winter Susie and Jasmin’ and I coloured it with my promarkers.  The text paper doesn’t have a name on it and the snowflake paper is MME.  The plain card is from the papermill shop and the lace is from tabby crafts.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval all punches.  The red snowflake was cut out with my dovecraft punch and the white snowflakes with my MS arctic snowflake punch.  The adhesive stones are from Joanna sheen.  Woohoo I’m on a roll this must be my FOURTH Christmas card so far this year lol (so much for my not leaving them til last minute again!!).

The DT have created some amazing samples again this week so if you have time please go and check them out.

I used the lovely sketch from the truly scrumptious challenge for my card but unfortunately there is a new challenge launching today d’oh!

I am also entering my card into the following challenges (not too many today!):

Crafty Ann’s challenge – for someone special (my friend!)

Simple doodles challenge – add some layers

Caardvarks challenge – lace

ABC challenge – r is for red

I hope you can enter our challenge this week.  Have a wonderful day – not long now until Easter – a guilt free time to eat chocolate - mmmmm yummy chocolate!!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for Promarkers #45 – DT card

PFP challenge 45 - use 2 images

PFP challenge 45 - use 2 images (close up)

PFP challenge 45 - use 2 images (inside)

This week our theme over at passion for promarkers challenge has been chosen by Gina and she would like us to ‘use 2 images on our projects’.  I decided to make a 6x6 gatefold card, after I had seen one on Kellie Winnell’s blog (her friend Lauren had a tutorial on her blog and you can check it out here).  For my card I used two new images from DigiStamp Boutique from the ‘cute japanese characters’ set and the two I have used are ‘Kishi’ and ‘Sachi’.  The set is currently on special offer (for three images) so pop over to DSB to check them out.  I coloured the images with the following promarkers:

Sachi (green image) – pastel green but the colour was too strong so I used the blender to ‘bleach out some of the colour and added pastel blue over the top and blended again.  Marsh green for the flowers.

Kishi (yellow image) – tulip yellow but again it was too bright so blended out the colour and added meadow green over the top and blended a little more.

Skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink

I used cool grey 1 for the outline this time as my ice grey 1 is running out :)

The papers are BG from my new kioshi paper pad and the plain card is bazzill bling (gorgeous but really difficult to photograph due to the shimmer).  I used my new MS border punch for the strips and the sentiment is by pink gem designs, which I cut out with my circle nesties.  The ribbon is from my stash.  I also added some matching paper and another Kishi image to the inside of my card and cut out the largest circle nestie to be able to write my message.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarkers.

Also we have two new team members joining us today Emma and Tracy.  You may remember they were GDT with us in February.  I hope you will pop over and leave them a welcome comment.  Emma and Tracy are also offering a prize to celebrate their arrival on the team – each will choose one winner of a Letraset rubber stamping kit – so another good reason to enter the challenge this week.

CCC challenge 84 - Easter or spring inc chocolate (close up)

Our new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge is ‘Easter/Spring with chocolate’ and was chosen by the lovely Shelly.  For my card I used an image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘spring hoppy’ and I coloured it with my promarkers.  Again if you like this cutie image you can get it on special offer (with 4 others) but only until the end of March!  The papers are all BG from the origins paper pad (I’m so loving this pad) and the plain card is SU chocolate chip.  The decorative edge was created with my MS embossed zig-zag border punch and the flowers are from wild orchid crafts.  The sentiment is PB and was cut out with my SU oval all punches.  The adhesive stones are from Joanna Sheen.

We are being sponsored this week by Sunshine Stamps and the lucky winner will receive 3 digi images of their choice.

Susie’s sassy challenge #11 – DT card

SSC #11 - springtime garden

SSC #11 - springtime garden (close up)

The new challenge over at Susie’s sassy challenge has been chosen by Sally and is ‘springtime garden’ – you can interpret that any way you like!  For my card I used a pretty digi image by Mo’s digital pencil called ‘secret garden’ and I coloured it with my promarkers.  All of the gorgeous papers are PM from the aptly named ‘rose garden’ paper pack and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  I used my CB and embossed the green card with my ‘daisy pattern’ embossing folder.  The gems are from my stash and the sentiment is from the ‘happy day’ stamp set by the greeting farm.  The flowers are from wild orchid crafts and the leaves were cut with my MS frond punch.  It’s difficult to see in the picture but I added stickles the flower arrangement and also the flowers on the image.

The prize on offer for this challenge is £10 worth of mystery mix of die cuts and images.  The rest of the DT have created some beautiful and very diverse samples for your inspiration.  Please pop over and take a look if you can.

Stampavie & more #87 - sketch (close up 2)

Over at the stampavie & more challenge this week we have a fab sketch to follow.  For my card I used an older image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Tilly in pram’ and I coloured the image with my promarkers.  This is the first time I’ve used this image, although I have used the boy version ‘Thomas in pram’ quite a few times.  The gorgeous papers are making memories from the Kate paper pack and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment is by verve and I cut it out with one of the tags from the spellbinders tag trio set.  The ribbon is SU and the pearls are from Joanna Sheen.  The flowers, leaves and pins are all from wild orchid crafts (getting a little obsessed now lol) and I used my pokey tool and SU paper piercing stencil (from the mat pack) to prick a pattern in the corners.

The DT have come up with some wonderful samples using the sketch.  Please pop over and leave them a comment if you get the chance.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Die cut dreams challenge – new beginnings

A card for a few challenges!

congrats card (12)

congrats card (12) close up

I made this card for the Quixotic challenge which has a challenge of altering an Anya image.  Well we’ve had two weeks to make our card but as usual I’ve left it completely until the last minute as the challenge ends tomorrow at 9am.  I haven’t gone altering mad and I bet until I say you’ll be hard pushed to see what I’ve done lol!  My altering is Anya’s top has been changed into a cardigan but adding a line and dots for the buttons.  I also changed her striped socks into checked socks.  I’m quite happy with the result though.  I used an image kindly sent to me by Tracy (Dies to Die For) and coloured it with my trusty promarkers.  The pretty papers are from the polka dot paper pack by wild rose studio and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment is from the elzybells everyday stamp set and was cut out with my SU oval all punches.  The cute little heart buttons are from my stash and the gorgeous picot ribbon is from fantastic ribbons.  Even though it’s not a ‘spring’ card in the true sense of the term I think the colour scheme screams spring!

Luckily my card also fits in with a few other challenges:

Roses on paper challenge – punch it

Creative card crew challenge – going dotty

Pixie dust studio challenge – power of 3 (3 buttons, 3 layers)

Paper cutz challenge – 1 ribbon & 3 buttons

Totally gorjuss challenge – ribbon

Paper jewels challenge – cute and girly

Incy wincy designs challenge – Easter or spring

Crafty cardmakers challenge – spring into spring

Crafty catz challenge – spring

Allsorts challenge – spring into spring

Secret crafter Saturday challenge – spring has sprung

Sweet stampin’ challenge – spring is in the air

Right I’d better get off and get organised for school/work tomorrow.  Sweet dreams everyone :)

Passion for Promarkers #44 – DT card

PFP challenge 44 - springtime plus include an animal

PFP challenge 44 - springtime plus include an animal (close up)

This week over at passion for promarkers challenge it is my turn to set the theme and I chose ‘springtime but you must include an animal’.  As regular visitors will remember it was my turn to do the Digi Friday tutorial on the Weekend Workshop last week and this is the image I used.  It is by Doodle Palace and is called ‘bunnies and strawberries’.

To colour the image I used the following promarkers:

Leaves – meadow green, apple and leaf green

Strawberries – red, berry red and ruby

Bunnies – ice grey 1 for shading and pastel pink

Sky – Powder blue and pastel blue

Grass – Meadow green and apple

I will let you into a little secret – after I finished my tutorial and was putting my card together I cut out the image but had to touch up the edges that I hadn’t quite filled in.  Instead of picking up the meadow green for the grass I picked up the powder blue by mistake – so if you think my grass has a bit of a blue hue to it – it does!!  It goes to show how careful you have to be when choosing your pens lol!  The lesson is over for today haha!

Anyway, the papers I used are all digital – the stripy green paper is from pink petticoat and the red dotty paper is from shabby princess (it’s actually Christmas paper).  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval all punches.  The flower was cut out with my ek success medium retro flower punch and the leaves were cut out with my MS frond punch.  The red circles were punched out with a woodware punch and shaped to resemble craftwork cards card candy.  The raffia ribbon was a RAK.

Our sponsor this week is angel crafts and the winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

The rest of the DT have created gorgeous samples once again this week, so please pop over and take a look.  Maybe leave them a comment if you get a chance.

My card also fits in with the following challenges:

Pile it on challenge – furry friend

Incy wincy designs challenge – Easter or spring

Crafty catz challenge – Spring

Raise the bar challenge – fruits of labour

Simon says stamp challenge – a splash of green

Fussy and fancy challenge – green

Allsorts challenge – spring is in the air

Bee crafty challenge – spring

Secret crafter Saturday challenge – spring has sprung

Sweet stampin’ challenge – spring is in the air

Simple doodles challenge – a little green

I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday.  I had a great day off from work yesterday and even managed a small bit of craft shopping *yay*.  I’ll be back tomorrow to show you my GDT card for stampavie and more challenge.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Please scroll down to see my stamp with fun DT card

CCC challenge 83 - food & drink

CCC challenge 83 - food & drink (close up)

The theme this week over at cupcake craft challenge has been chosen by the lovely Liza and it is ‘food and drink’.  For my card I used a pretty digi image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘birthday Poppy’ and coloured her with my promarkers.  The gorgeous paper is BG from the nook & pantry paper pad and the plain card is SU chocolate chip.  The decorative edge was cut with my MS simple scallop border punch and I added adhesive pearls for a bit of extra oomph!  The ribbon is american crafts and IRL it does match the paper very well (it looks a bit gaudy in the pic) and the sentiment is from the elzybells ‘everyday greetings’ stamp set.  The adhesive pearls are from Joanna Sheen

We are sponsored this week by Cupcake Cards & Craft and the lucky winner will receive a voucher for £10.00 of digi products.  I’ve just been over for a quick look and I’m very tempted lol!

Hello and welcome to Monday – I’m happy as I have a day off from work today *woohoo*.  Our theme over at stamp with fun challenge this week is ‘Easter’ and I decided to make a card and matching chocolate holders (I used viscount mint biscuits – yum).  The super cute image I used is from DigiStamp Boutique and is called ‘Easter chick’ and is from the ‘a touch of spring’ set of 4 digi images.  I coloured the image with my promarkers and cut it out with my circle nesties.  The gingham paper is a very old pack that was from Joanna Sheen and the patterned paper is doodlebug.  The plain card is from the papermill shop.  I decided to have a go at distressing (although I’m not very good at it) – it did help though that my blade on my paper trimmer is very blunt, so I was already half way there lol!  I added a bit of doodling with my fineliner pen and deliberately was a bit sloppy (honest guv!).  The ribbon is from my stash and the little rosebud flower is from wild orchid crafts.  The sentiment is from PB and the lollipop flower was created by stamping lots of circles and roughing them up a bit lol!  The brad and adhesive pearls are from my stash.

There is a prize on offer this week courtesy of Paper cupcakes and the lucky winner will receive this cute digi image called ‘nose cuddles’:

Digi Friday over at PFP!

It’s Friday so that means there's a new Digi Friday tutorial over on the Passion for Promarkers Weekend Workshop, and it’s already week 4!!

If you don't know what that means, then I’d better explain... Every Friday, one of the Passion for Promarkers DT uses a digital stamp from one of our sponsors and publishes a tutorial. And the best bit, you could win a prize from that sponsor just by leaving a comment - yup, it's that easy.

This week, our sponsor is Doodle Palace, who have a fab selection of cute digi images.

It was my turn to do the tutorial this week and as it’s almost spring I chose a cute digi that included little bunnies.

Here is a sneak preview - the image is only partially coloured at this stage :)

003

Please pop over to the Weekend Workshop and take a look and leave a comment to let me know what you thought of my tutorial.  All feedback is appreciated and in doing so you could be in with a chance of winning a prize donated by Doodle Palace.  Check out the Weekend Workshop for full details.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Stampavie & more #86 – GDT card

stampavie and more #86 - wedding

This week over at stampavie and more challenge the theme is wedding.  I thought for a change I would try and make a stylish, clean and simple wedding card (a la Victoria) instead of my usual cutie style.  I am really happy with the way it’s turned out and will attempt this style of card again – although I really like my cutie cards too.  I used my SU ‘Mrs & Mrs’ stamp set for the image and sentiment and I am pleasantly surprised how clear the image stamped out – this was the first time I used this particular set.  The black images were stamped using a black versafine inkpad and the pink image was stamped with a gorgeous brilliance inkpad – I think you can see the shimmer in the picture from this ink.  The sentiment was cut out with one of the spellbinders ribbon tags trio and the pink velvet ribbon is from my stash.  The paper is DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the plain pink paper is PM.  The adhesive stones are from Joanna Sheen

The rest of the DT have made some stunning creations – I hope you will have a chance to pop over and take a look and maybe leave them a nice comment.  I can’t wait to see your wedding cards this week and look forward to visiting your blogs.

My card also fits in with the following challenges:

Cute Daisy May challenge – anything goes

Pollycraft challenge – sparkly things

Sophisticat challenge – new beginnings

Cute card Thursday challenge – celebrations

Paper cutz challenge – anything goes

Allsorts challenge – pink, black and white

Secret crafter Saturday challenge – anything goes

Have a great Wednesday, half the week gone *yay*.  I’ve got quite a few card orders to catch up on so hopefully some new cards for me to show off soon :)  Thanks for stopping by.

PFP challenge 43 sketch

PFP challenge 43 - sketch

PFP challenge 43 - sketch (close up)

This week over at Passion for Promarkers challenge Debbi has given us a gorgeous sketch to work with, however I did turn it on it’s side so that I could fit my image in.  For my card I used an image kindly sent to me by Tracy (from Dies to Die For), which is by CC designs and is called ‘Sweet November - Baby Bunny – Butterfly’.  I coloured the image with the following promarkers (although I have no idea why I coloured his hair grey!!):

Bunny suit – tan, caramel, pastel pink, tulip yellow & sunflower

Skin – ivory, blush & pastel pink

Hair – ice grey 1, 2 & 3

Butterfly – tulip yellow & sunflower

Shading – ice grey 1

The papers are a mish-mash from my crafty stash and the kraft card is from elzybells.  I cut out the image with my oval nesties and the sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval all punches.  The ribbon is by anita’s and the decorative edge was created with my MS scallop border punch.  The buttons are from my stash.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarkers.
