Passion for Promarkers #44 – DT card

PFP challenge 44 - springtime plus include an animal

PFP challenge 44 - springtime plus include an animal (close up)

This week over at passion for promarkers challenge it is my turn to set the theme and I chose ‘springtime but you must include an animal’.  As regular visitors will remember it was my turn to do the Digi Friday tutorial on the Weekend Workshop last week and this is the image I used.  It is by Doodle Palace and is called ‘bunnies and strawberries’.

To colour the image I used the following promarkers:

Leaves – meadow green, apple and leaf green

Strawberries – red, berry red and ruby

Bunnies – ice grey 1 for shading and pastel pink

Sky – Powder blue and pastel blue

Grass – Meadow green and apple

I will let you into a little secret – after I finished my tutorial and was putting my card together I cut out the image but had to touch up the edges that I hadn’t quite filled in.  Instead of picking up the meadow green for the grass I picked up the powder blue by mistake – so if you think my grass has a bit of a blue hue to it – it does!!  It goes to show how careful you have to be when choosing your pens lol!  The lesson is over for today haha!

Anyway, the papers I used are all digital – the stripy green paper is from pink petticoat and the red dotty paper is from shabby princess (it’s actually Christmas paper).  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval all punches.  The flower was cut out with my ek success medium retro flower punch and the leaves were cut out with my MS frond punch.  The red circles were punched out with a woodware punch and shaped to resemble craftwork cards card candy.  The raffia ribbon was a RAK.

Our sponsor this week is angel crafts and the winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

CCC challenge 80 - round & round

CCC challenge 80 - round & round (close up)

This week over at cupcake craft challenge it was my turn to choose our theme and I came up with ‘round and round’ i.e. lots of circles on your creations.  I am showcasing another new image from DigiStamp Boutique, available from today called ‘Coco Easter stroll’ and I coloured it with my promarkers (don’t you just love how cute all the little creatures are?)  The paper is also digital from Shabby Princess called ‘spring breeze – circles’ – I just love the bubblegum colours.  The plain card is SU and I cut the image out with my circle nesties.  The smaller circles were also cut with my nesties and two of them were run through the CB with the swiss dots embossing folder.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the butterflies were cut with MS punch.  The adhesive pearls are again from Joanna Sheen (they are becoming a favourite must have of mine).  I used a white gel pen to add the dots to the scallops on the circles.

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and one lucky winner will receive $20.00 to spend in their online store + free shipping (wish I could enter lol).
