Sweet Stampin’ GDT Card

Happy Sunday dear friends.  I hope you’ve had a great weekend so far, although I can’t believe it’s 6.00pm already – where has the day gone??  I’m here this afternoon to share my second card as Guest Designer over at Sweet Stampin’ challenge.  The challenge this week is “clean & Simple” which I know fills most people with dread, me included.  Here is my card:

clean & simple

clean & simple (close up)

I have used a brand new image from DigiStamp Boutique which is part of the offer of them month called ‘Daisy set 1’ which is available at a very special price for February – just £2.25 for 3 gorgeous images.  I coloured her with promarkers and flex markers and cut her out.  The pretty papers are from the me to you ‘spring chic’ paper pad and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment strip is from pink petticoat.  I did some faux stitching with my fine liner pen and added a couple of pearls and viola my card was finished.  I have to say I think it looks like it isn’t finished but I’m sure some extra bits will find their way onto my card before I send it to anyone lol!  You really need to check out the DT cards over at the challenge blog as they are stunning.

There are two sponsors again this week, firstly stamp addicts are offering a £10.00 gift certificate to spend in their online store and the monthly sponsor for February is Joanna Sheen who is offering a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Stampin’ sisters in Christ challenge – make a happy card

Papertake challenge – anything goes

2 sisters challenge – I {heart} you (image is holding a heart)

Allsorts challenge – free & easy part 2

Craft your days away challenge – get stitchy with it

Crafter’s companion challenge – anything goes

OSAAT challenge – anything goes

Scrapbook sisters challenge – anything goes

I hope you can join in with our challenge and we look forward to seeing what you create.  Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Winter wonderland challenge–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  As there is no passion for promarkers challenge card today I thought I would do a catch-up post and share my card for last week’s winter wonderland challenge.  A huge apology to my fellow DT girlies, I meant to post it Friday evening but then I completely forgot – oops.  However better late than never and there is still time to enter our challenge (phew!).  Our theme is “let it snow” so I know there will be lots of lovely entries for us to drool over.  Here is my card:

WW #23 - let it snow

Our sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles and one lucky winner will receive 3 digi images from their online store.

Stamp with fun #140–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a great weekend, even though the weather wasn’t that brilliant in some parts of the country.  Scotland even had some snow I think – keep it to yourselves please – I’m happy not to have any this year lol!

I’m here this morning with my DT card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and this week we have a brilliant sketch by Tina46 to use.  As always you can flip it etc as long as we can recognise the original sketch.  Here is my card:

SWF #140 - sketch

and here is the fantastic sketch:

I have used a brand new image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘snow person with mittens’ (which is one of 5 – yes 5 – offers of the month this month) and I coloured him with promarkers and flex markers.  When I was looking for papers to use I came across this super cute mittens paper from the ‘winter park’ paper pad by echo park and had to use it, along with a few other matching papers from the same pad.  The plain red card is SU and the alphabet beads are from my stash.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

Passion for promarkers #124–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a good Halloween – it was really quiet here, just a few children trick or treating – but I think the wet weather was the reason for that.  At least my boys were happy as I had lots of sweeties left over for them.  I cannot believe it is already the 1st November, what happened to October?

I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Emma has set the theme and she has chosen “a day at the zoo”, so you must include an animal that you would find at the zoo on your creation such as elephants, giraffes etc.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 124 - at the zoo

PFP challenge 124 - at the zoo (close up)

I decided to make a baby card (yes again lol!) and used this super cute image from pink petticoat called ‘baby giraffe’ which comes in a boy and girl version.  Can you guess which version I used haha!  I know it’s very pink but I think it’s quite cute.  It’s a dinky 4x4 card and the pretty paper is a magazine freebie.  The image is coloured with flex markers and promarkers.  The image is part of the sentiment but I cut it apart to fit the smaller sized card.

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Winter wonderland challenge–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  Well I hope you’re enjoying the “indian summer” we’re experiencing at the moment – boy it’s been really hot hasn’t it?  It’s so much nicer than all the rain we’ve been having lately and let’s hope it lasts for the weekend.

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s challenge over at winter wonderland challenge.  This week it’s Squirrel’s turn from Team Marianne to set the theme and she has chosen “how charming”, so we would like to see a charm on your creation somewhere.  Now I have to say I have an aversion to charms as I don’t really know how to attach them properly.  Everyone else seems to use them without much bother but I’m useless however I took the challenge and here is my card:

WW #17 - how charming

WW #17 - how charming (close up)

I have used a newly released super cute image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘sketchy snow person’ and coloured him with promarkers and I added stickles for the glistening snow.  The gorgeous papers are dovecraft from the ‘fancy Christmas’ paper pack and the fantastic sentiment strips are by pink petticoat from the ‘sentiment ribbons’ set.  I added my snowflake charm onto some baker’s twine and tied it around my top layer of patterned paper.

Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps and one lucky winner will receive a $10.00 gift certificate to spend in their online store.

Cupcake craft challenge #129–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Like a bad penny I’m back again lol!  This time it’s to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  The lovely Shelly has set the theme and she has chosen ‘I love you’ so your card must include at least one heart.  Your card obviously doesn’t have to be a valentine’s card just as long as it contains a heart or hearts it will be fine.  Again I was lucky enough to be given a sponsors image and here is my card:

CCC challenge 129 - I love you (add a heart)

CCC challenge 129 - I love you (add a heart) close up

The image is by Lori Boyd Designs and is called ‘puddle jumper birthday Emma’ (the image also includes a present and a happy birthday sentiment which I didn’t use this time).  As usual my photography skills are lacking!  The ric-rac ribbon and the dress are actually a lovely girly pink IRL but they look more salmon pink in my pic and the pearls are a soft pink too not red as they look in the pic grrrr!!!  In case you didn’t notice, my hearts are the MS punched border!

Our sponsor this week is Lori Boyd Designs and they are offering the lucky winner a $10.00 gift certificate to their online store.  You will definitely be spoilt for choice as she has lots of super cute images, just like this one.

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ prize and our sponsor for February is Crafts U Love and the lucky winner will receive a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online shop.

Passion for Promarkers #44 – DT card

PFP challenge 44 - springtime plus include an animal

PFP challenge 44 - springtime plus include an animal (close up)

This week over at passion for promarkers challenge it is my turn to set the theme and I chose ‘springtime but you must include an animal’.  As regular visitors will remember it was my turn to do the Digi Friday tutorial on the Weekend Workshop last week and this is the image I used.  It is by Doodle Palace and is called ‘bunnies and strawberries’.

To colour the image I used the following promarkers:

Leaves – meadow green, apple and leaf green

Strawberries – red, berry red and ruby

Bunnies – ice grey 1 for shading and pastel pink

Sky – Powder blue and pastel blue

Grass – Meadow green and apple

I will let you into a little secret – after I finished my tutorial and was putting my card together I cut out the image but had to touch up the edges that I hadn’t quite filled in.  Instead of picking up the meadow green for the grass I picked up the powder blue by mistake – so if you think my grass has a bit of a blue hue to it – it does!!  It goes to show how careful you have to be when choosing your pens lol!  The lesson is over for today haha!

Anyway, the papers I used are all digital – the stripy green paper is from pink petticoat and the red dotty paper is from shabby princess (it’s actually Christmas paper).  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval all punches.  The flower was cut out with my ek success medium retro flower punch and the leaves were cut out with my MS frond punch.  The red circles were punched out with a woodware punch and shaped to resemble craftwork cards card candy.  The raffia ribbon was a RAK.

Our sponsor this week is angel crafts and the winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

The rest of the DT have created gorgeous samples once again this week, so please pop over and take a look.  Maybe leave them a comment if you get a chance.

My card also fits in with the following challenges:

Pile it on challenge – furry friend

Incy wincy designs challenge – Easter or spring

Crafty catz challenge – Spring

Raise the bar challenge – fruits of labour

Simon says stamp challenge – a splash of green

Fussy and fancy challenge – green

Allsorts challenge – spring is in the air

Bee crafty challenge – spring

Secret crafter Saturday challenge – spring has sprung

Sweet stampin’ challenge – spring is in the air

Simple doodles challenge – a little green

Woohoo I’m back!!

Well after almost a week without a computer I’m so glad to be back.  I never thought it would take this long to get it back from the repair shop and it couldn’t have happened at a worst time but hey I’m finally back online :)  I hope you missed me ‘cos I certainly missed you!

I wasn’t able to post my DT project for Passion for Promarkers on Tuesday or Susie’s Sassy Challenge on Thursday so I will be doing one per day, starting today with my PFP project.

It was the second chance to show you a creation that was ‘anything but a card’ with a Christmas/New Year theme for our mega Christmas challenge, which is running until 5th January 2010.

PFP Christmas challenge project 2

PFP Christmas challenge project 2 (close up 2)

PFP Christmas challenge project 2 (close up 1)

For my project I decided to make some sour cream containers and wow I couldn’t believe how simple they were to make.  I used paper by daisy bucket designs and images by pink petticoat from the ‘have an ice Christmas’ collection.  I coloured the images with my promarkers and cut them out with my circle nesties.  The plain card is from the papermill shop and the ribbon is dovecraft.  I think I will make some for my sister to decorate the table for Christmas lunch as she is cooking for the whole family this year (yum yum).

I hope you are all prepared and organised (unlike me, who still hasn’t written her cards or wrapped her presents!) for the ‘big’ day.  Please pop back tomorrow to see my Susie’s sassy challenge DT card.  Thanks for stopping by and it’s so great to be finally back with you :)

The sugar bowl challenge #24

b'day card (1)

b'day card (1) close up

My card today is for the the sugar bowl challenge, which this week has a gorgeous sketch by Marlene to follow (& the must include option is zig-zag). I’ve used a sugar nellie image from the home grown autumn kit (which I’m only now getting around to inking up!!) and I coloured the image with my promarkers. I used kraft card from elzybells and the full sheet of paper is SU. The smaller patterned pieces are from my scrap box and the plain indigo paper is pink petticoat, which I ran through the CB with the swiss dots embossing folder. I used my MS zig-zag embossed border punch for the strip across the middle of the card and the adhesive stones are PM. I haven’t added a sentiment yet as I don’t know it will be for. I really liked the layout and didn’t add any extra embellishments as I didn’t want to spoil it. Thanks for stopping by today.

Edited to add - thank you to Marianne for pointing out that I couldn't combine my sugar bowl card with other challenges if I wanted to be included in the draw for the prizes - thanks hun - maybe I should pay more attention to the rules in future lol :)

Stamp with fun #34 – DT card

*This is my second post for today – please scroll down to see my cupcake craft challenge DT card *

Sketch Conny

SWF #34 - sketch

SWF #34 - sketch (close up 1)

SWF #34 - sketch (close up 2)

This week over at stamp with fun challenge we have a lovely sketch by Conny to follow. For my card I used my new stamp by pink gem designs called ‘baby’s first christmas’. I coloured the image with my promarkers and used flower soft for the fluffy bits! I added a few highlights with a white gel pen. The patterned papers are by doooodle designs and the plain paper is pink petticoat. The ribbon is SU and the snowflakes are punched with my MS arctic snowflake punch. The adhesive stones and foam letters are PM (the letters were originally white but I coloured them with my promarker to match the image).

Our sponsor this week is Tassilo’s Drachenshop and the lucky winner will receive these fun stamps.
