Passion for promarkers #146–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope the weather is better where you are than it is here as it’s wet and wild and staying that way all week if the forecasters are to be believed.  However that’s why crafting is the perfect hobby in this weather as you can stay indoors nice and snug and wile away the hours in your crafting area.

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge and this week the lovely Nic has set the theme of “cut it out”, so basically we want to see all your die cuts.  I’m sure it will be a popular theme.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 146 - cut it out

PFP challenge 146 - cut it out (close up)

I have used a gorgeous digi image from Crafts and Me called Aliah and coloured her with promarkers.  The dies I’ve used are die-namics ‘by the numbers’ dies, spellbinders ‘fleur de lis accents’, circle nesties and magnolia doohickeys swirl from the ‘leaf & swirl’ set.  The beautiful flower was cut from a rose ribbon.  The finished card is 8x8 in size and I made it for my mother’s birthday.

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Have a fantastic day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Passion for Promarkers #145–DT card

Good evening dear friends.  I’m sorry for the late post today but time got away from me and I didn’t have time to schedule my post.  I hope you’ve all had a good start to the week – work is crazy as always and I can see this week flying by as fast as last week!!

I’m here to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge and the lovely Michele has chosen the theme of “pink, pearls and lace”, which I think will be really popular.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 145 - pink, pearls and lace

PFP challenge 145 - pink, pearls and lace (close up)

I have used a gorgeous image from DigiStamp Boutique from the “Daisy – set 1” collection.  There are three images in total, each as fantastic as this one.  I coloured Daisy with promarkers and once again chalked a cloudy background for her.  The pretty papers are echo park ‘country drive’ and the card is from the papermill shop.  Instead of “real” lace I used a lace effect paper doily.

Our sponsor this week is DigiStamp Boutique and one lucky winner will receive 6 digi images of their choice.  There are so many gorgeous images in the shop that the winner will have a tough decision narrowing it down to just 6 lol!

DigiStamp Boutique logo

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

A gem of a challenge – gorgeous sketch

Cute card Thursday challenge – spring flowers

Paper sundaes challenge – anything goes

Sentimental Sunday challenge – frame it

Paper playtime challenge – birthday card + sentiment

Crafty sentiments challenge – use a digi

Aud sentiments challenge – spring/summer colours

CCEE stampers challenge – 3 embellishments (pearls, flowers, doily)

Paper crafting journey challenge – 3 or more patterned papers

Card makin’ mamas challenge – make it girlie (2nd entry)

It’s my hubby’s birthday tomorrow so we’re all going out to the cinema and probably grab a pizza as a treat for him.  I am committing the ultimate sin and giving him a shop bought birthday card (I know!!) but in my defence he isn’t really that bothered about cards and I didn’t have a lot of time to make one so thought why stress myself out when he doesn’t care anyway lol!

I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Enjoy the rest of your evening and thanks so much for stopping by.

Charisma cardz challenge–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I cannot believe it’s Thursday already, the week is flying by, although I’m not complaining!!  Work is super busy at the moment and the day just whizzes by, which is fantastic, although I do think I’m wishing my life away lol!

It’s time for a brand new challenge over at charisma cardz challenge and it’s Team Gem’s week to share their cards.  The lovely Joyce has set the theme this week and she has chosen “fancy folds”.  Now as I was a bit tight for time I played it safe and made an easel card although I do find them extremely difficult to photograph and I forgot to take a ‘side-on’ view!  Here is my card:

charisma cardz #14 - fancy folds (view 2)

charisma cardz #14 - fancy folds (view 1)

I have used a super gorgeous new image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Hoop Rosie’ from the April offer of the month set called ‘funtime Rosie’ which is available for a special price until the end of the month.  There are 3 images in the set and all are equally as cute as this one.  I coloured the image with promarkers and had a go at doing a cloud background with chalks.  I will try using my promarkers in the future but it was really quick using the chalks (and my finger tip!).  I have to say I am really chuffed with the clouds as it was only my second time of doing it.  The pretty pastel papers are my mind’s eye from the “dwell” 6x6 paper pad.

We have two sponsors this week.  Firstly we have Some Odd Girl who are offering one lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice.

Our second sponsor is Digi Doodle Shop and 2 winners will receive a $5.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

The rest of the design have created gorgeous fancy fold cards (and much more imaginative than me lol) so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Sweet stampin’ challenge – dies and/or doodles

Stampin’ sisters in Christ challenge – make a joy-ful card

Love to create challenge – birthday

Crafty sentiments challenge – spring and pastel colours

Digital Tuesday challenge – birthdays

I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing all your fancy folds.  I would like to welcome my newest follower Nat *waves hello* – thanks for becoming a follower and I hope you will visit me often.  Enjoy your day and thanks so much for stopping by today.

Passion for Promarkers #144–DT card

Happy Tuesday dear friends.  Oh dear it’s back to work for me today *groan* but on the plus side it’s a shorter working week *yay*.  Another plus is that it’s time for a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Maya has set the theme and she has chosen “white on white”, such a pretty theme isn’t it.  We only want to see your image coloured, all your papers/card must be white but we will allow lightly inked edges!  The only problem with WOW cards is photographing them (and you know that’s not my strongest area anyway lol!).  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 144 - white on white

PFP challenge 144 - white on white (close up)

I have used a beautiful stamp from Crafts and Me called ‘city girl’ and coloured her with promarkers.  It is a brand new stamp and even though I stamped it about 4 times I couldn’t get a perfect impression.  I even tried blotting the stamp with cellotape to try and remove any residue – any ideas for next time I use it!  I went a bit mad with all the dies I used including Marianne creatables rolled roses, die-namics butterflies and die-namics border die.  The embossing folder is from sizzix and is called ‘folksy fun’.  I inked the edges with a cats eye chalk ink pad and added some white pearls to finish.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a Promarker Stamping Kit.

I’m rushing to do the post before work so will add this later!

I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by today.

Stamp with fun #155–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a brilliant weekend and are raring to go for the week ahead. Unfortunately it’s back to work for me after a week off but at least it’s a short week this week as it’s a bank holiday on Friday!. I’ve got a busy week as it’s my mother’s birthday tomorrow (as well as my SIL’s step-son) and as usual I’m running late and haven’t made their cards yet lol!

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s challenge over at Stamp with Fun challenge.  The theme this week is a really simple one “anything but an Easter card”.  Here is my card:

SWF #155 - anything but an Easter card

SWF #155 - anything but an Easter card (close up)

I was asked to make this card by my cousin to give to his daughter for her 30th birthday.  The image is a stamp from Crafts and Me called ‘believe’ which I coloured with promarkers and flex markers.  Isn’t it a beautiful image and a bit more grown up than I usually use but I love it and will definitely be using it lots.  The gorgeous papers are echo park from the ‘victoria gardens’ paper pad and the stunning die cuts are spellbinders from the ‘fleur de lis accents’ set which I recently bought from the we{heart}craft shop.  I didn’t add too many embellishments as the image was quite large and the paper was so pretty I didn’t want to cover it up too much.  The finished card is A5 in size.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.   We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Fairy tale challenge – everything goes

Stamping for the weekend challenge – anything goes

2 sisters challenge – birthday fun

Totally gorjuss challenge – swirls and whirls (if my swirly die cuts don’t count please delete me)

OSAAT challenge – something new (my stamp is new)

Stamptacular challenge – playin’ with pastels

I hope you will be able to join in with our challenge this week and I cannot wait to see what you create.  I will be back later with my post for this week’s cupcake craft challenge (although there is no card from me this week as it is the turn of Team B to share their creations) but I will be giving you full details of the challenge theme and prizes up for grabs.  Until then thanks so much for stopping by.

Charisma cardz #12–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I’m back in the land of the living at long last!!  I am really sorry for my long absence but I haven’t been feeling very good over the last 2 weeks or so – nothing serious, just a virus I think, but I felt really rough.  In fact I didn’t actually craft at all during that time so I must have been ill.  I even bought a card for my in-laws anniversary – awful I know!!  Anyway hopefully things will slowly get back to “normal” now, although I think my mojo has taken the break badly and is refusing to come back to normal duties lol!

Enough of my waffling!  I’m here to share my card for this week’s charisma cardz challenge and this week the lovely Gemma has set the theme and she has chosen “Easter” which I’m sure will prove very popular!  Here is my card:

charisma cardz #12 - easter

charisma cardz #12 - easter (close up)

I have used a super cute image from DigiStamp Boutique called “Easter Dan” and coloured him with promarkers.  At the moment this image is on offer so why not pop over to the shop and grab him at a very special price of just £1.00 (but only until end of March) – he will come in so useful for all your Easter creations.  The lovely papers are my mind’s eye from the ‘dwell’ paper pad and the kraft card is from dies to die for.  I created my little Easter egg embellishments by die-cutting the smallest oval nestie and drawing some lines with a Letraset fine liner pen and then colouring with promarkers – quite effective I think!

We have two sponsors this week, firstly we have DigiStamp Boutique and Sally-Ann is offering one lucky winner 6 digi images of their choice – and as you can see her images are so adorable you will be spoilt for choice!

Our second sponsor is Joanna Sheen and she is offering one lucky winner a £10.00 gift voucher to spend in her online store.  She has lots of gorgeous crafty goodies plus free shipping on all orders!

Passion for Promarkers #140–DT card

Hello again dear friends.  I’m sorry I’m behind the times with my posts again this week, there just don’t seem to be enough hours in the day at the moment.  Anyway enough waffling from me and let’s get on with showing you my card.  The challenge this week over at passion for promarkers challenge has been set by Gro and she has chosen “yellow and pearls” and here is my card:

I have used a brand new and gorgeous image from DigiStamp Boutique from the “Rosie collection 1” which is one of the offers of the month for March and the set contains 3 super cute images for the amazing prize of just £2.25!!  I coloured the image with promarkers and the papers are from the dovecraft ‘back to basics’ paper pack.  The kraft card is from dies to die for and the pearls are from the hobby house.  I kept the layout really simple as I wanted the image to stand out and I have to say I really love this card!

Our sponsor this week is crafts and me and one lucky winner will receive 3 digi images of their choice.

Stamp with Fun #152–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a great weekend, the weather here was really pleasant and I even dried some washing on the line (sad I know to be excited about that lol!)  I cannot believe that my week off work went so fast and I’m back in work again today – I really need to win the lottery I think haha!

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s Stamp with Fun challenge and this week we have a lovely sketch to use designed by Andrea-Emmi41.  It has nice clean lines and layers which is my favourite type of sketch.  Here is my card:

SWF #152 - sketch

SWF #152 - sketch (close up)

I rotated the sketch as it worked better with my image that way.  I was asked by a friend at work to make a baby congrats card for a grandmother so I used a super cute image by Mo Manning called ‘baby and bunny’ and coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are from the docrafts forever friends ‘new arrival’ designstax and the kraft card is from dies to die for

We have a prize up for grabs this week which is kindly offered by Tina and one lucky winner will receive this stamp:

Cupcake craft challenge #181–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend – the weather was so spring like here and looking out the window you would be mistaken for thinking it was April or May, although there was quite a nip in the air.  Can’t complain for the end of February though can we?

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week I have the honour of setting the theme and chose “boys and their toys” which is the complete opposite to Keeley’s girly challenge last week!!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 181 - boys & their toys

CCC challenge 181 - boys & their toys (close up)

I used a super cute image from Pollycraft called ‘skills’ and coloured him with promarkers and flex markers.  The paper is my mind’s eye from the ‘kraft funday’ pad and the black card is from eBay.  All I seem to be making at the moment are cards for boys, but I don’t mind really, as having two boys myself I’m quite used to it lol!

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Emma’s store and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as usual, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you always leave for us.

By the way from today the teams over at cupcake have now split into two and I’m with Team A so I’ll only be posting a DT creation once every 2 weeks from now on.  However I’ll still be letting you know each week what the challenge is and I hope you’ll still be able to join in each week.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Dream valley challenge – for men (2nd entry)

Paper sundaes challenge – circles

Little darlings challenge – pearls

My mum’s craft shop challenge – buttons and ribbons

Moving along with the times challenge – lots of layers

Simon says stamp challenge – use 3 papers (it looks like I used 4 but I used both sides of a doubled sided paper – hope this is ok?)

Crafty catz weekly challenge - something beginning with B – boy, black, ball, button

Seems a little sketchy challenge – fab sketch

Stamp, scrap and doodle challenge – manly card

The pretty little ribbon shop challenge – anything goes (2nd entry)

I hope you will be able to join in with my challenge this week and I cannot wait to see what you create.  I would like to welcome my newest followers – Jenny and Mandy – *waves hello* welcome ladies, I hope you like my creations and will visit me often.  I’m running late with my stamp with fun challenge DT card this week but I’ll post it as soon as I can.  Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Sweet Stampin’ Guest DT card

This is going to be a super quick post from me tonight as it’s way past my bedtime!!  However I’m late posting my Guest DT card for this week’s Sweet Stampin’ challenge and wanted to get it done before the week ran ahead of me again lol!  I cannot believe that it is already the last week of being a guest but I’ve had a brilliant time and hopefully they’ve been happy with my cards!  The theme this week is “masculine” and here is my card:

I’ve used an image from Tickled Pink stamps called ‘Lil Lad Eric’ and I coloured him with promarkers and flex markers and I have to say I’m really pleased with his shabby/distressed looking jeans haha!  The papers are wild rose studio from the ‘for men’ paper stack and the plain kraft card is from dies to die for.  I distressed all the edges with my new tonic (Tim Holtz) tool which is much easier and quicker than using than my scissors.  I added my usual go-to male card embellishments of stars and buttons and added some faux stitching and my card was done!

The design team have created amazing samples so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.

There are two sponsors this week – Quixotic Paperie are offering a £10.00 voucher and Joanna Sheen is also offering a £10.00 voucher, so definitely two good reasons to join in with the fun!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

2 sisters challenge – anything goes

Allsorts challenge – anything goes

Delightful challenge – use patterned papers

Little darlings challenge – pearls

I hope you will be able to join in with the challenge this week.  I cannot wait to see what you create.  Have a wonderful Monday and thanks for stopping by.
