CCC challenge 68 - red & green

CCC challenge 68 - red & green (close up)

I’m back again with the new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge, which this week has been chosen by the lovely Liza. She would like to see your projects with the colour scheme of ‘red and green’ this week (again another not so difficult challenge lol!). For my card I used another neglected stamp by LOTV called ‘Isobel – winter princess’ and coloured it with my promarkers, adding stickles to her poinsettias. The beautiful papers are BG from the wassail paper pad. The adhesive stones are PM (which I coloured with my crimson promarker to match my card) and the poinsettia was made following a fab tutorial on the WOJ tutorial blog by Dawn Wheeler, although mine didn’t turn out as stunning as hers, but not too bad for a first go! The lovely sentiment is by squiggle stamps.

Our sponsor this week is the creative cottage and one lucky winner will receive 2 x digital kits.

Stamp with fun #35 – DT card

SWF # 35 - x-mas card (close up)

Hello and welcome to a new challenge over at stamp with fun.  This week we’ve made it easy for you – our theme this week is Christmas – now that isn’t a challenge is it!!  For my card I used a neglected WOJ image called ‘winter Charlotte with cat’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  The gorgeous papers are dovecraft from the Christmas blues paper pack (which is from last year) and the plain paper is from the papermill shop.  The white snowflake is MS (arctic snowflake) and the coloured one was cut with a dovecraft punch.  The sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punches to cut out the paper behind it.  I used my SU & woodware circle punches to cut out the circles from the paper and the adhesive stones are PM.

Please check out the rest of the DT cards as they are all so beautiful.  I can’t wait to see what you create this week and I look forward to visiting your blogs.

I’m also entering this card for the Friday sketchers challenge as I followed their gorgeous sketch, whiff of joy challenge wants ‘a Christmas card’ and charisma cardz as they want ‘anything Christmas’.  Don’t forget to check back later to see my cupcake craft challenge DT card.  Thanks for stopping by.

The sugar bowl challenge #24

b'day card (1)

b'day card (1) close up

My card today is for the the sugar bowl challenge, which this week has a gorgeous sketch by Marlene to follow (& the must include option is zig-zag). I’ve used a sugar nellie image from the home grown autumn kit (which I’m only now getting around to inking up!!) and I coloured the image with my promarkers. I used kraft card from elzybells and the full sheet of paper is SU. The smaller patterned pieces are from my scrap box and the plain indigo paper is pink petticoat, which I ran through the CB with the swiss dots embossing folder. I used my MS zig-zag embossed border punch for the strip across the middle of the card and the adhesive stones are PM. I haven’t added a sentiment yet as I don’t know it will be for. I really liked the layout and didn’t add any extra embellishments as I didn’t want to spoil it. Thanks for stopping by today.

Edited to add - thank you to Marianne for pointing out that I couldn't combine my sugar bowl card with other challenges if I wanted to be included in the draw for the prizes - thanks hun - maybe I should pay more attention to the rules in future lol :)

Bee crafty challenge #18

b'day card (5)

b'day card (5) close up

This is my card for the current bee crafty challenge, which is ‘add some sparkle’.  I made for this for my niece’s 16th birthday last Monday.  The image is digital and is by sketching stamper and is called ‘vicki shops’.  I coloured the image with my promarkers.  The gorgeous glittery paper is by DCWV from the glitter stack (and this was my last piece *sob*) and the grid papers is doodlebug.  The flowers are from my stash and the leaves were punched with my L’em punch.  The sentiments were created on the pc (the round one was cut with my nesties and the oval one with my SU oval punches) and the adhesive glittery dots were from QVC.

It was my son’s 13th birthday yesterday (Saturday) and I can’t believe that my baby is now a teenager *yikes*).  We went for a birthday treat of pizza and cinema.  He wanted to see 2012 and it was quite good, although I was a typical girl and cried in all the sad bits!!  Here is a picture of my son taken in the summer (he’ll kill me if he sees this).

holiday 2009

I’m also going to enter my card for a spoonfull of sugar challenge as their challenge this week is a colour combo of brown plus either pink or blue.  Obviously I have used pink but there is a bit of orange too so I hope this will still count.  I hope you are all having a fab weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

Friday sketchers #79

b'day card (28)

b'day card (28) close up

Hello fellow bloggers, I hope you’re having a wonderful Thursday :)  This is my entry for this week’s Friday sketchers challenge.  I was asked by a friend at work to make a 1st birthday card for her niece so I thought I’d combine the two!  I used a new digi-image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Suzie fairy’ and coloured her with my promarkers, adding stickles to her wings and wand.  The pretty paper is from my stash (no name) and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The gorgeous ribbon was a birthday pressie from Julia and the sentiment was created on the pc.  I used my quickutz star cookie cutter to cut out the number one and the adhesive stones are PM.  A fairly simple card but I thought the image was so cute I didn’t need to add lots of embellishments :)

I’ve just noticed that I’ve passed 30,000 hits – so stayed tuned for some mini-candy coming soon.

Also I just want to let you know that Sally-Ann is offering 20% off her Christmas images for a very short period.  There are some gorgeous images just released including the one below, so why not pop offer and grab a bargain whilst they are on offer.

Multi challenge card - and a first!

easel card

easel card (side view)

easel card (close up)

Well I’m way behind everyone else but I have finally made an easel-style card *hooray*.  It was my niece’s 16th birthday yesterday and this is the card I made for my boys to give to their cousin.  I’m really pleased with the way it turned out – I may even make one again soon (once everyone else has moved onto the “next” thing I’m sure haha).  The digi-image is from TGF and is called ‘rock chick’ (it was a limited edition image and is no longer available to buy).  I coloured the image with my promarkers and cut her out and popped her up with 3d foam, although you can’t really tell in my photos (David Bailey I’m not!).  The gorgeous papers are DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  I created the sentiment on the pc and cut it out with my SU oval punches.  The charm is from my stash as is the ribbon it’s hanging on.  The ‘16’ is from craftwork cards and again I used my SU oval punches to cut the card behind it.  The ribbon is from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Anyone for Anya?  - make it fake (I faux stitched around the image and sentiments)

Creative card crew #38 – favourite things (my promarkers and DCWV papers)

Cute card Thursday #87 – teen terrors (my niece was 16 and the image is very apt I think!)

Totally gorjuss #6 – nearly all gorjuss (I’m not going mad – you can enter any girly type images this week)

I hope you’re all having a good week and the weather hasn’t been too unkind to you today.  My thoughts are with all of you suffering due to the heavy rain and high winds, my heart goes out to you.  Sending you lots of love and hugs,

Hello and welcome to a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers.  Our challenge this week has been chosen by Maria and she would like to see your ‘vintage’ themed creations but you can use any colour promarkers you like *woohoo*.  For my card I used a sugar nellie image called ‘purrfect playmates’ (from funky kits) and I coloured her with the following promarkers:

Dress – Saffron and tan (blender pen to soften colours)

Apron – Pastel yellow and tan (blender pen to soften colours)

Hair – Tan, caramel and cinnamon

Skin – Ivory, blush and pastel pink

Yo-yo - Caramel

Cats – Ice grey 2, 3 and caramel

Outline – Ice grey 1

The papers are a mixture of DCWV, creative keepsakes and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The flowers were punched with my ek success retro flower punches and the leaves were punched with my MS frond branch punch (from dies to die for).  The gorgeous lace is from tabby crafts and the brads are from my stash.  The adhesive pearls are kaisercraft.  I ‘aged’ my papers and the lace with a cats eye chalk ink pad in creamy brown.

Our sponsor this week is Yellow Moon and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

This week over at stamp with fun challenge we have a lovely sketch by Conny to follow. For my card I used my new stamp by pink gem designs called ‘baby’s first christmas’. I coloured the image with my promarkers and used flower soft for the fluffy bits! I added a few highlights with a white gel pen. The patterned papers are by doooodle designs and the plain paper is pink petticoat. The ribbon is SU and the snowflakes are punched with my MS arctic snowflake punch. The adhesive stones and foam letters are PM (the letters were originally white but I coloured them with my promarker to match the image).

CCC challenge 67 - gift card holder (back)

This week at cupcake craft challenge our theme was chosen by the extremely talented Kathrin and she asked us to make a ‘gift card holder’.  Kathrin kindly gave us the link to a tutorial to follow just in case we hadn’t made one before.  Now as I hadn’t I decided to follow the instructions (you can see them here).  I used gorgeous double sided paper (well it’s almost card it’s so lush) by imaginisce and the plain paper is making memories.  The sentiment inside is by SU from the sincere salutations set and the to and from stamp is by see d’s.  The cute little tree image on the front is studio g and I coloured the image with promarkers and added stickles to the stars.  The snowflakes are punched out with my MS arctic snowflake punch and the adhesive stones are PM.  The eagle eyed of you out there will notice I used my cooperative membership card instead of a gift card as I was not organised enough to get one *wink*.  I hope you will check out the rest of the DT creations as they are all stunning, and much more impressive than mine lol!  Please excuse the very wonky photo’s – I can assure you that I wasn’t drunk when I took them, I’m just a really bad photographer!!!

Our sponsor this week is soft pencil and the lucky winner will receive a $20.00 gift voucher to spend in their etsy store.  You must check out their gorgeous digital images as they are soooo cute!

I can’t wait to see what you come up this week and look forward to visiting your blogs.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Crafty calendar challenge #2

b'day card (5)

b'day card (5) close up

The second challenge for the crafty calendar challenge is ‘weather’ and this is my entry.  The image is rain anya from the ‘rain, snow and shine’ set by TGF and coloured her with my promarkers.  The patterned paper is from my stash (no name) and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval punches.  The adhesive pearls are kaisercraft and the ribbon is from my stash.  (The two lines on the paper aren’t on the card in real life – not sure how they got there!!).  I hope you’re all having a fab weekend.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Kraftin’ kimmie’s challenge

* THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY – PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MY SUSIE’S SASSY CHALLENGE DT CARD *

just for you card

just for you card (close up 1)

just for you card (inside)

I’ve been meaning to enter the kraftin’ kimmie stamps challenge for weeks but I’ve finally got around to it and the theme for challenge 6 is ‘lotsa circles’.  I used my new kraftin’ kimmie stamp called ‘piper‘ (available from dies to die for) which was coloured with promarkers.  Unfortunately I reluctantly had to chop off her feet to fit her in my circle nestie!!  The beautiful papers are DCWV from the nana’s nursery (boy) stack and the ribbon is from my stash.  The sentiment was a freebie from a magazine and again was cut out with my circle nesties and the adhesive pearls are kaisercraft.  As you can see from the last photo I even decorated the inside of my card (which is a rarity for me) but as I had the cute little accessory stamp I thought I make the most of it.  Again coloured with promarkers and a strip of matching paper and adhesive pearls complete the simple look.

I hope you’re all keeping warm in this wild weather we’re having – perfect crafting weather, except for the poor quality photos :)  Thanks for stopping by today.

Susie’s sassy challenge #2 – DT card

SSC 2 - pink & sparkly

SSC 2 - pink & sparkly (close up)

Wow I can’t believe that it’s already our second challenge over at susie’s sassy challenge; the first challenge just whizzed past.  Our theme for the new challenge is ‘pink & sparkly’ and for my card I used a stamping bella image called ‘snowbunnybella’.  I used my promarkers to colour the image and added stickles to the fluffy bits on her hat, coat and boots.  The yummy paper is from a paper pack by PM called naughty & nice that I bought last Christmas (I also added a little stickles to highlight the snowflakes on the paper).  The plain green paper is from the papermill shop and the ribbon is making memories.  The sentiment is anita’s and I used my circle nesties to cut it out.  The decorative edge was cut with my MS doily lace punch and the snowflakes were a RAK from Tracey at dies to die for.  The adhesive stones are PM.  There is another fab prize up for grabs for this challenge (I’ll add a pic tomorrow when I know what it is lol!).

I am also entering this card for the mojo monday sketch challenge, as I followed their sketch.

I can’t wait to see all your pink and sparkly creations and look forward to visiting your blogs. Don’t forget our challenge runs for two weeks, so you have until our next challenge starts on Thursday 3rd December to enter :)  Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for Promarker #26 – DT card

PFP challenge 26 - burnt umber & marsh green

PFP challenge 26 - burnt umber & marsh green (close up)

This week’s challenge over at passion for promarkers is a colour challenge, chosen by Barbara.  She would like to see your creations with Burnt Umber & Marsh Green.  I decided to use my new squiggle stamps image called ‘you rock’ and I coloured him with the following promarkers:

Jumper – burnt umber, chestnut and ice grey 1

Trousers – marsh green and olive green

Guitar – cornflower blue

Shoes – ice grey 1 & 2

Hair – pastel yellow and canary

Skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink

Outline was done with ice grey 1

The papers are DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the plain green paper is making memories.  I used my swiss dots folder in the CB to emboss the green paper.  The buttons are from my stash (and I actually sewed them on with a needle and thread - shock horror!).  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with a woodware tag punch.  The brad is also from my stash.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarker pens.
