Bee crafty challenge 52–DT project

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Charisma Cardz DT card

Oh my goodness I have just realised that I didn’t post my DT project for the monthly challenge over at Bee Crafty.  I cannot believe it’s 14th July and it was due on 1st; I’m really sorry Merrigan I hope you will forgive me lol!  The monthly challenge for July is “wedding wishes” and I’m sure you have lots of wedding cards, boxes etc due to be made at this time of year.  I decided for a change to make a cute little wedding favour box and here it is:

Bee crafty #52 - wedding wishes

Bee crafty #52 - wedding wishes (close up 1)

Bee crafty #52 - wedding wishes (close up 2)

Bee crafty #52 - wedding wishes (close up 3)

I used the super cute ‘bride and groom’ image from Bee Crafty and you can see it in the shop here.  I made the box using my go-kreate frilly square dies and just constructed a basic box underneath.  It was really simple to make (well it had to be for me to be able to do it lol!) and I’m really pleased with the finished result.

As always the lucky winner will receive 2 digi images of their choice from the Bee Crafty online store, so definitely a prize worth winning!.  My fellow teamie Deanne has made a stunning card, it is so beautiful and she has used such unusual colours so please pop over to the challenge blog and check it out.

I would like to enter my little box into the following challenges:

Cutie Sunday challenge – lace (there is a tiny piece across the corner of the box)

Lollipop crafts challenge – anything goes

Stamps & fun = creativity challenge – lace

Totally stampalicious challenge – anything but square or rectangle

Digital Tuesday challenge – spellbound

Scrap creations challenge – use at least 2 papers and 2 embellishments

Aud sentiments challenge – use a sentiment with at least two words

Do it with digis challenge – spots or stripes or both (I’ve got striped paper)

Simon says stamp challenge – anything goes

Fun with shapes and more challenge – anything but a card

Craft your days away challenge – fancy folds

Even though I’m late posting my DT project you still have plenty of time left so I hope you will be able to join in with our challenge.  Have a wonderful evening and thanks for stopping by.

Stamp with fun #119–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you’ve all had a great weekend.  The weather here was surprisingly good and it’s supposed to be ok for the next few days too.  Unfortunately my dad was admitted to hospital yesterday as he has possible heart failure and fluid on his lungs.  To be honest he hasn’t been feeling brilliant since his hip replacement (which ironically went fine, no pain etc) but we’ve all been saying he would soon pick up once he was a bit more mobile.  As I said unfortunately he hasn’t and my mother took the decision to take him to A&E yesterday for a second opinion (he has been back and forth to the GP without much improvement).  I will update you tomorrow once I have spoken to the docs and have a better idea of the plan of care.

Onto the reason you are here.  We have a brand new challenge over at stamp with fun challenge today and this week the theme is “get well soon”.  Now if I had known my dad would be in hospital I would have made a male version but sadly I made a female get well card – typical eh?  Here is my card:

SWF #119 - get well soon

SWF #119 - get well soon (close up)

I have used a super cute image from Bee Crafty called ‘bear get well soon’ and coloured it with my promarkers, although some of my brown promarkers decided to run out just as I was colouring my bear so it is a bit patchy.  The papers are my minds eye ‘quite contrary’ and the die cut butterfly is a sizzix sizzlit.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so please pop over and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

The beary sweet challenge – sketch

OSAAT challenge – anything goes

Whoopsi daisy challenge – we love pink

Everybody art challenge – use shapes (butterfly)

Papertake challenge – anything goes

Flutterby Wednesday challenge – open theme

Truly scrumptious challenge – things with wings (butterfly)

Aud sentiments challenge – sentiment with at least 2 words

Digi doodle challenge – butterflies

Cardmadfairy’s digi days challenge – include an animal

Crafty Ann’s challenge – get well/thinking of you/just because cards

Stamp something challenge – something with bugs or butterflies

Stamping for the weekend challenge – wings and things

Allsorts challenge – free and easy

Secret crafter Saturday challenge – get well soon

Sweet stampin’ challenge – cute and cuddly

By the cute and girly challenge – things with wings

So that’s it from me for now but I’ll be back in a little while with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  I would like to welcome my newest follower Suzana *waves* – thanks for following me hun.  I hope you will be able to join in with our challenge and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Thanks for stopping by.

Bee crafty challenge #18

b'day card (5)

b'day card (5) close up

This is my card for the current bee crafty challenge, which is ‘add some sparkle’.  I made for this for my niece’s 16th birthday last Monday.  The image is digital and is by sketching stamper and is called ‘vicki shops’.  I coloured the image with my promarkers.  The gorgeous glittery paper is by DCWV from the glitter stack (and this was my last piece *sob*) and the grid papers is doodlebug.  The flowers are from my stash and the leaves were punched with my L’em punch.  The sentiments were created on the pc (the round one was cut with my nesties and the oval one with my SU oval punches) and the adhesive glittery dots were from QVC.

It was my son’s 13th birthday yesterday (Saturday) and I can’t believe that my baby is now a teenager *yikes*).  We went for a birthday treat of pizza and cinema.  He wanted to see 2012 and it was quite good, although I was a typical girl and cried in all the sad bits!!  Here is a picture of my son taken in the summer (he’ll kill me if he sees this).

holiday 2009

I’m also going to enter my card for a spoonfull of sugar challenge as their challenge this week is a colour combo of brown plus either pink or blue.  Obviously I have used pink but there is a bit of orange too so I hope this will still count.  I hope you are all having a fab weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

Bee Crafty challenge #15

 Gina's b'day card

 Gina's b'day card & images

Gina's b'day card (close up)

It was Gina’s 40th birthday yesterday (my fellow partner in crime over at passion for promarkers) and this is the card and image envelope I made to send to her.  I used the gorgeous sketch from the current bee crafty challenge for my card.  I used a digi-image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘sophie and present’ and coloured her with my promarkers, adding highlights with a white gel pen.  The papers are beautiful BG from the lemonade paper pad and the sentiment is SU from the oval all stamp set.  The 40 sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punches to cut out both sentiments.  The flower heads are from joanna sheen and the adhesive stones are PM.  The sentiment on the image envelope is also SU from the oval all set.  I hope you’ve had a great Friday and woohoo I’m off work now for 10 days, unfortunately though so are my kids LOL! ;)  I’ll be back later with my last minute card for the penny black challenge.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge #59 – DT card

CCC challenge 59 - cute as a bug

CCC challenge 59 - cute as a bug (close up)

Hello and welcome to Monday morning…..which means a new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge. This week’s theme is ‘cute as a bug’ and as we are being sponsored this week by Bee Crafty the lucky DT were able to choose a digital image from their online store to use on their samples. I printed off the ‘whimsical girl and bird’ image and coloured it with my promarkers, adding stickles to the flowers. The papers are all DCWV from the nana’s nursery (baby girl) stack. The image was cut out with my rectangle nesties and the butterflies were punched out with a long-reach punch that I got from Ideal World a very long time ago. I also added stickles to the butterflies to bling them up a little. The ribbon is SU and the charm was a birthday present. The adhesive stones are PM.

Bee Crafty is offering our lucky winner 3 single digital images or 1 set of images of their choice and boy what a difficult choice it will be as they have some very cute designs to choose from.

If you have time please check out the other DT cards, as they are all gorgeous. I look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing all the different bugs you use on your cards this week. Thanks for stopping by today.

Here’s Bernard……

Bernard digistamp boutique

Bernard (close up)

This is one of Sally-Ann’s new downloads over at DigiStamp Boutique and he’s called Bernard.  There are three different images available and this one is called ‘what’s that noise’.  When you get this particular download your image won’t have the musical notes as I drew them on myself (quite pleased with that lol!).  The three Bernard images are the Offer of the Month over at DigiStamp Boutique this month so go here to check them out.  Onto my card………. I coloured the image with my promarkers and as I mentioned drew the musical notes above the birdie.  The sparkly cs is from my stash and the spotty dp is by buzzcraft.  The ribbon is from my stash (very pleased with my bow too as I’m usually useless with them) and the decorative edges are cut with my new fiskars border punch.  The sentiment is also DigiStamp Boutique.

I’m also going to enter this card at Bee Crafty as their current challenge is ‘things with wings’ (you don’t have to use a bee crafty image but you do have to include something digital i.e. image or papers).

Thanks for stopping by today.  Only one more sleep until my birthday *yay*.

Digital Tuesday #14/DU2DS #14

b'day card (25)

b'day card (25) close up

As I’ve had some time off from work this week I thought I’d join in with some challenges as I haven’t seemed to take part in many of late.  This card is my entry for two challenges – Digital Tuesday asked for “sweet birthdays” and Dare you to Digi Stamp asked for “embossing”.  I used a freebie digi-image from Bee Crafty and coloured it with my promarkers.  I cut two circles with my nesties and embossed the white circle in the CB with the swiss dots folder.  The papers are all BG and a new paper pad (to me anyway) called lemonade, so yummy.  The sentiment is PB and I cut it out with my SU oval punches.  The flowers are imaginisce and the pearl brads are PM.  I used my new fiskars border punch for the decorative edge on the paper.  Thanks for stopping by today.
