I've been tagged.... and an award!

The lovely Tracy gave me this lovely award a little while ago, sorry it's taken me so long to add it to my blog. I really appreciate everyone who thinks of me and leaves me such wonderful comments, without you my little blog would be a lonely place. I think alot of you have received this award by now so I'm not going to give it to anyone else (and no it's not a cop-out) but if you haven't feel free to take it for your blog.

Also the lovely Gina (The Card Kabin) and Shelly (Minkies Paper Paradise) have both tagged me (again apologies for the delay in adding to my blog). You need to go to your 4th folder (or in some tags 6th folder) and show your 4th photo (or 6th photo). Well I used my 4th folder/photo 'cos I love this pic of my cat Daisy. She looks really pensive and so beautiful. Thank you all for thinking of me, I really appreciate it. I will be back tomorrow with another card. So sleep tight and thanks for stopping by.

New baby

I recently made this card for a friend at work. I stamped the Anita's image and coloured him with my pro-markers. I cut the image out with my woodware scalloped oval punch. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the dp is doodlebug. The sentiment was created on the pc and the ribbon is from my stash. The foam alphabet stickers are by PM and it's the first time I've used them, don't they look really cute! The adhesive stones (which are teeny tiny) are also PM. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp Something/OSCC #22

I had to make a card for an order from work so I used the lovely sketch from this week's stamping something challenge. This card also fits the theme on the one stop craft challenge, which is 'blingtastic'. I stamped the sugar nellie (leanne ellis design) image 'fizz' and coloured her with my pro-markers. The dp is BG from the sultry paper pad (loving this at the moment) and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment was created on the pc and the 'bling' part of the card comes in the form of adhesive pearls by kanban (oh no I'm running low) and stickles added to the flower and bubbles on the image. I'm really happy with how this card turned out and it's a sketch I will definitely be reaching for again. Thanks for stopping by.

Papertake challenge/Cupcake craft challenge #32

This is my card for this week's papertake challenge, which is a lovely sketch by Dawny and the Cupcake Craft challenge, which is monsters. I used a downloaded image from Grab-a-doodle called 'out of this world' and punched him out with my woodware scalloped square. I did cheat ever so slightly and print out an image that was already coloured, as I was short on time lol! The dp is by buzzcraft and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The adhesive stones are from QVC. I haven't added a sentiment as I'm not sure who will be getting this card yet haha! Thanks for stopping by.

Ida's lush candy!

Ida was lucky enough (like me) to be chosen for the Cupcake Craft Challenge DT and has decided to offer 3 visitors some gorgeous candy. The only condition is that you have to post a comment on your blog and not only add it to the sidebar (but I'm going to do both haha!). You have until 3rd April to be entered, so what are you waiting for? You can go directly to the candy here. Good luck.

Forever friends challenge

I was asked to make a christening card for a friend in work and this is what I came up with. Now I know I may be stretching the theme on the FF challenge this week but I hope it will be ok! The theme this week is make a card for mum (or any female) but my card is for a female, just a little one lol! Anywho onto the card. I stamped the FF image and coloured it with my pro-markers. The spotty dp was a freebie from a craft magazine and the gingham dp has been in my stash for so long that I can't remember where I got it. The brown cs is bazzill bling and the decorative edge was cut with fiskars scissors. The sentiments were created on the pc and the pearl brads are PM. The charm and flowers are from my stash. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your Sunday.

Mojo sketch #79/CCT #53

This is a card order I made recently for my auntie to give to her grand-daughter. I decided to follow the mojo sketch (as I haven't had a chance to enter it for a little while). I used my new miss anya stamp (from Tracy at Dies to Die For) and I coloured her using my pro-markers. The dp is all gorgeous BG from the sultry paper pad and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The lush velvet ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment was created on the pc. A really girly girl card but that's exactly what I wanted lol! This card also the fits the theme on cute card thursday this week, which is 'family affair'. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate all your wonderful comments.

Crafty Muse - Easter challenge

Well it's another challenge over at Crafty Muse and the theme this time is Easter. This is my second guest DT card, so I hope you like. I wanted my card to be egg-shaped but unfortunately I don't have an oval cutter so I had to hand cut the shape and well it's still a little angular, but never mind I think you get the gist. Anywho I downloaded the easter angelique image and coloured her with my pro-markers, adding stickles to her wings. By the way you can download this image and a couple of others FREE over on the challenge blog, so what are you waiting for? The dp is doodlebug and the ribbon is from my stash (I think I should have ironed it before I stuck it down haha!). The mini eggs are also from crafty muse and the sentiment is penny black. Why not pop over and grab the free download and join the challenge this time, I'd love to see your creations. Thanks for stopping by.

MTTC #54

I made this card for a friend at work and it fits the bill for this week's my time to craft challenge, which is 'it's raining men'. I downloaded the copyright free image from the internet and coloured him with my pro-markers. The dp is also a copyright free download and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment was created on the pc and the buttons are from my stash. That's the one problem with making bespoke cards, people always ask for weird and wonderful themes (that I usually don't have a stamp etc for. Thank goodness for the internet lol). I like how this card turned out and my friend was very pleased with it. Thanks for stopping by.

ABC challenge - F is for flowers

I know I promised you (or threatened you) with more Mother's Day cards but I thought I'd give you a breather and show you a sympathy card I made recently. I am entering this card for this week's ABC challenge which is 'F is for flowers'. The image is elyzbells and I lightly coloured it with pro-markers. The dp is from a paper pack (lace) from Joanna Sheen. The sentiment is a clear stamp by stamps away and the adhesive stones are PM. The ric rac ribbon is from my stash. A fairly simple card but I prefer my sympathy cards to be that way, slightly understated even. Hope you are having a good day. Thanks for stopping by.

Another Mother's Day card

I know it's after the fact but I made quite a few Mother's Day cards and I want you to see them (even if you don't want to haha). I stamped the fairy image, which was a freebie from a card magazine and coloured her with pro-markers, adding stickles to her wings. The dp is from craftwork cards and has a beautiful sheen to it. The plain cs is from the papermill shop. I punched flowers out of the cs with my x-cut punches and created the sentiment on the pc. The adhesive stones are PM. A simple card but the dp was so colourful I didn't think it needed much. Thanks for stopping by.

Oops!

You know I mentioned earlier that I would be uploading my cupcake craft challenge card, well darn it it's one of the Mother's Day cards I forgot to take a photo of grrrr. Never mind I'll upload it tomorrow (even though it will be too late for the challenge). Thanks for all your lovely comments. See ya tomorrow.

Mother's Day card/PB challenge #41

You'll never believe it - I took my mother's and MIL's cards to them today and then realised I hadn't taken photos of them d'oh. I'll have to call around tomorrow and take a quick pic to show you. Anyway this is a Mother's Day card I made for an order (I made a few so you'll be sick of seeing them by the end of the week haha). I used my new PB image 'roses on the run' and coloured it with my pro-markers, I also add stickles to the roses. The gorgeous dp is cosmo cricket and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I added some doodling around the image and sentiment panels. The flowers are from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment was created on the pc.

More by luck than judgement I've realised that this fits the bill for the PB challenge this week, which is 'doodling' which is fab. I'm really trying to concentrate on my card orders at the moment as I've had so many lately (which is fantastic) that I'm a little over-run. I start to panic and like to take control a bit again. I will try and fit as many as I can in with the challenges but obviously time is a factor too. I will be back later with my card for the cupcake craft challenge (better add mine as I'm a DT member soon lol). Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Mother's Day

Just a quick post to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day. I hope you have lots of goodies and are going to enjoy a relaxing day (crafting hopefully). My boys are older now and are still in bed (as is hubby) but I had beautiful flowers delivered just after 9am. I've been promised choccies so that's something to look forward to. Whatever you're doing have a fantastic day. I'll be back later to show you the cards I made for my mother and mother-in-law, but I haven't uploaded them (or written them yet lol!). Thanks for stopping by.

Daisy & Dandelion #1/Stamps & Smiles #6

Hi everyone, I hope you've been enjoying the very springlike weather we've been having the last few days. It's been really gorgeous here and I even went to work without a coat today LOL! This is my card for the new Daisy and Dandelion challenge blog, which began with a theme of new beginnings and also the stamps and smiles challenge which is a sketch. I used my new D&D image and simply stamped him with versafine vintage sepia ink and left it at that! The striped dp is doodlebug, the spotty dp is buzzcraft and the plain cs is bazzill bling. The sentiment is elzybells and I used my woodware retro labels punch to cut it out. The buttons are from my stash. This is a great and simple sketch to use and one that I will be using again. Thanks for stopping by.

ASFOS #42/Charisma cardz #10

Here I am again chasing my tail and trying to catch up with challenges. This is my entry for the sketch on 'a spoon full of sugar' and the charisma cardz challenge is 'something for the guys'. I stamped the paper nation rugby man image and coloured him with my pro-markers. The dp is all DCWV and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment was created on the pc (and no I didn't make a mistake the lady that ordered it wanted it exactly like that lol!) and the adhesive stones are PM. The brads and button were from my stash and the circles are punched out of the matching cs. I did have to rotate the sketch to fit my image but I'm really happy with how it's turned out. Thanks for stopping by.

Our Craft Lounge challenge

I was recently lucky enough to win a set of stamps by Our Craft Lounge from Nancy, whose blog is paper smiles and that means I can now enter their sketch challenge. The stamp set I won is called 'ducky days' and features this lovely duck, his apparel (boots, umbrella etc), rainbow, sun and various sentiments. I stamped the duck and the rainbow and coloured them with pro-markers adding stickles to the puddle and his umbrella. The sentiment from the set was stamped onto white card using versafine onyx black ink. The dp is DCWV from the glitter stack and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The ribbon is american crafts and the pearls are by kanban. I really enjoyed using this sketch and will definitely use it again. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamping bella sketch #71/MTTC #52

This is my card for this week's stamping bella sketch and my time to craft, which is 'woman'. I stamped the rockabella image and coloured her with my pro-markers. The dp is DCWV and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment is SU from 'circle of friendship' set of stamps and the holographic border strip is from my stash. A simple card but quite funky I think. Thanks for stopping by.

Forever friends challenge/Cupcake challenge

This is my card for this week's FF challenge, which was a really lovely sketch and the cupcake challenge which is 'spring'. I haven't entered very many of the FF challenges as to be honest I don't have that many of their stamps, however I did treat myself to this little beauty this week so decided to have a go. I stamped the image and coloured it with my pro-markers and I added stickles to the centre of the flowers. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the dp was a freebie from a craft magazine (the colours scream spring to me). The sentiment was created on the pc and the flowers were punched out of the cs with my x-cut flower punches. The green "leaves" are also a flower punch (woodware) that I cut apart and glued behind the flowers. The 'my friend' sentiment is elzybells. Thanks for stopping by.

Mojo sketch #77

This is my card for this week's mojo sketch challenge and it was a really lovely easy sketch this week. I treated myself to a couple of smirk stamps this week so decided to use one of them on this card and I coloured the image with my trusty pro-markers. The dp is all SU and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The ribbon is from my stash and the adhesive pearls are PM. The sentiment is stamping bella and I used a stampin' spot (SU) in brilliant blue. I'm not used to leaving so much white on my card so I used my pricking tool to add some interest at the top of the card (click on the pic for a closer view).

Papertake challenge

This is my entry for the papertake challenge, which is another lovely sketch by dawny. I punched two hearts from gold mirri card with my woodware scalloped heart punch and ran them through the CB with the hearts embossing folder. I also ran a piece of gold mirri card through the CB with the dots embossing folder for the background. I used plain cream cs from the papermill shop and ribbon from my stash. The pearls are kanban and the sentiment was created on the pc. A simple card, without any stamping, but classical I think for a golden wedding anniversary card. Thanks for stopping by.

Colour create #6

This is my entry for this week's colour create challenge, which is orange, yellow and green with an optional extra of your entry not being a card. I decided to decorate a plain gift bag that I got from crafts u love. I used dp by imagination project and doodlebug. The image is stamping bella (daisybella) which I coloured with my pro-markers. I punched two small holes at the top of the bag and threaded through orange ribbon from my stash. I used fiskars decorative scissors to cut the scalloped edge. I'm sorry the photo doesn't really show off the bag to its best but I couldn't find anything to put inside it at the time :( Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Penny black #39/OSCC #19/Dutch dare #39

Here I go again combining challenges again! Even though I've been off work for 4 days I've been out and about with my mum and friends as I don't normally have a chance when I'm working. It's been great I've been shopping to Cardiff and Ikea, and for coffee and a chat with friends from work and of course a little craft shopping along the way haha. Anyway onto the card, I'm entering this one for the penny black challenge this week, which is a recipe '3 brads, 2 ribbons and 1 flower', the OSCC is 'sorry' and coincidentally the dutch dare challenge is 'sorry I forgot'. I stamped my new penny black 'roses on the run' image and coloured it with my pro-markers, adding stickles to the roses. The dp is 3 bugs in a rug (and I've used both sides for this card). The 2 pieces of ric-rac ribbon, brads and flower are from my stash and the sentiment was created on the pc. I even dug out my liquid pearls for a change and added some dots around the place. I hope you like, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by.

Basic grey challenge #25

This is my card for this week's basic grey challenge, which is a sketch. I stamped the stamping bella 'cosmobella' image and coloured her with my pro-markers. The dp is all BG from the eva paper pad. The adhesive stones are PM and the flowers are from my stash. The sentiment was created on the pc and I used my fiskars decorative scissors for the scalloped edge. Thanks for stopping by.
