Stamps & Smiles #24/Secret Crafter #41

b'day card (24)

This is my card for two challenges this week.  Stamps and smiles is a sketch, as usual, and the secret crafter challenge is ‘spots and stripes’.  I had to make a card for a lady at work so decided to combine these themes into my card.  The image and small sentiment is by stamping up from the ‘cheers to you’ set (which I ordered from Jules) and I coloured my image with promarkers and a white gel pen.  The patterned papers are by imaginisce and the plain brown paper is from a paper pack I got from QVC.  The sentiment is hero arts and the adhesive stone stars are PM.  I really like the simplicity of this card and I think it’s perfect for a man.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Deer Friend

I made this card for a friend at work who has had some bad news recently. I stamped the gorgeous greeting farm image from the forest friends set of stamps (available from dies to die for) and coloured him with my promarkers. I also stamped the image twice and cut out the front part of his body and his head and raised them up on 3d foam. The dp is all from SU's new range called ski slope (from Jules). The larger flowers are part of the blog candy from Sally-Ann and the smaller flowers were punched out of the dp with an x-cut punch. The corners of the dp were cut with fiskars corner adorner scissors and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment is a stamp by studio g. I followed the sketch from last week's stamp & smiles challenge but again was too late to enter it d'oh! Thanks for stopping by.

Stamps & Smiles sketch #11 /CCT #56

This is my entry for this week's stamp and smiles sketch and for the cute card thursday challenge, which this week is 'floral fantasy'. I stamped the sugar nellie (Leanne Ellis design) image 'cup of tea' and coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I used my fiskars border punch for the decorative edge (not sure what it's called) and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment is stamping bella and the flowers were punched out with woodware and ek success punches. I also used my new nestie to cut out the circle. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamps & Smiles sketch #10/Colour Create #11

This was another card ordered by a friend at work. I decided to use the lovely sketch over at SAS this week and the colour combo on colour create challenge which was 'coffee, chocolate and cream'. I stamped the greeting farm 'miss anya' image and coloured her with pro-markers. The gorgeous dp is all SU (not sure of the names as I got it from Jules as part of a paper share). The sentiment was created on the pc and the flowers and brad are from my stash. Now I'm not at all big-headed (cos I always think everyone else's cards are better than mine lol) but I love this card, I think it's the colour combo, definitely one I will try again. Thanks for stopping by.

SCSC #26

This card fits the bill for this weeks secret crafter saturday challenge, which is 'stripes'. I also used the stamps and smiles challenge sketch #9 (but I was too late to enter it - as usual lol!). I stamped the PM robot image and coloured him with my pro-markers. The dp is all from the PM paper pad 'for him' and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment was created on the pc. As it was for a man I didn't add any fussy embellishments and the image was quite large so I thought it would look too cluttered to add too much. Thanks for stopping by.

Daisy & Dandelion #1/Stamps & Smiles #6

Hi everyone, I hope you've been enjoying the very springlike weather we've been having the last few days. It's been really gorgeous here and I even went to work without a coat today LOL! This is my card for the new Daisy and Dandelion challenge blog, which began with a theme of new beginnings and also the stamps and smiles challenge which is a sketch. I used my new D&D image and simply stamped him with versafine vintage sepia ink and left it at that! The striped dp is doodlebug, the spotty dp is buzzcraft and the plain cs is bazzill bling. The sentiment is elzybells and I used my woodware retro labels punch to cut it out. The buttons are from my stash. This is a great and simple sketch to use and one that I will be using again. Thanks for stopping by.
