Pink/blue & white card

Hello lovely friends; I hope you've had a great start to your week.  I hope you've managed to miss most of the really bad weather we've had recently.  It's been really wet and windy here but no damage thankfully; I really feel for the poor people in Jersey whose homes have been destroyed.  Nature is definitely a force to be reckoned with on times.

On to happier things; I'm here to share a card I made recently for a crafty friend.  I saw the colour challenge over on the Less is More challenge so based my card on that.  Here is my card:
here is a close up of the sweet image:
I also decorated the inside:
plus I decorated the envelope (ignore the crease!):
I began by stamping by image and colouring with Promarkers and then fussy cut it out.  I put the image to one side and began decorating my panel.  I used a stencil with light blue ink, darker in the centre and fading out to white.  I stamped the sentiment on a thin strip of white card in pink ink (although it looks a little red in the photos) and placed this directly onto my panel with liquid glue.  The image was added over the sentiment with foam squares.  The panel was then added to the card base with liquid glue.  Very clean and simple for me and I had to control myself from adding anything else lol!  For the inside of my card I lightly ink blended the same blue ink around the whole of the panel and then use the same daisy stencil at the very bottom for some interest.  For the envelope I used the stencil on the bottom and on the lower part of the flap on the back.  I remember seeing in a Kristina Werner video to use distress micro glaze over your decorated envelopes to protect it from moisture so I tried it in view of the bad weather we'd been experiencing.  I did manage to crease the flap with my overly energetic rubbing but it was ok once the card was inside.  I wouldn't normally use pink and blue together but I think it turned out quite sweet.  Let me know what you think.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Less is More challenge - colour challenge - blue, pink & white
Addicted to Stamps & More challenge - make your mark (I used Promarkers)
Crafty Catz challenge - ATG with option of show some flowers
Mix it Up challenge - ATG with optional stamping (I used a red rubber stamp)
Triple B challenge - include birds, blooms or butterflies
NBUS challenge - never used this stamp or stencil before

I hope you have a wonderful week.  Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be back on Wednesday for Week 2 of the Winter Wonderland IG Hop so see you soon.

Love and hugs,

Scrapping4fun challenge - GDT card

Hello again friends; I'm back with my second card for today.  I hope you have a fun and relaxing day before the hustle and bustle of the brand new week.

I'm joining the Scrapping4fun challenge this month as a guest designer and their theme is a fun one - 'fruits and/or veggies'.

I wanted to use a brand new die set that I had just received so went with fruit for my card:

a close up of my image:

I decorated the inside:

and the Promarkers I used:

Even though I knew what die set I wanted to use I wasn't sure what image to use.  I was rooting around my stash for something else and came across this older Greeting Farm image which was perfect for my card.  I stamped her with memento ink, coloured her with Promarkers and added some white gel pen highlights.  I fussy cut her out and put her to one side whilst I did my die cutting.  I made a card base from white card using the larger die and then cut it again from red card for my mat.  The layer panel was cut with the matching smaller die from white card and I also used a lattice embossing folder for some interest.  The outer apple mat was again cut from red card and the inner piece was cut with white card; I also used a splatter stamp with red ink for some interest on this piece.  The sentiment was stamped with black ink to the left hand side and the image was added with thin foam squares to the right side of the apple.  I die cut one green leaf for the top of my apple and a final touch was 3 red sequins.  The finished card size is just a smidge smaller than 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps and More challenge - die cuts and/or stencils
Little Red Wagon challenge - layer upon layer
Shopping Our Stash challenge - colour me beautiful (I used Promarkers) - 13 challenges max
The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge - shapes (I've used lots of die cut shapes)
Can You Handle the Pressure challenge - ATG embossing option bees/beehive
Seize the Birthday challenge - ATG (no topping this time)

Please pop over to the Scrapping4fun challenge blog for all the details/rules and to see the amazing creations from the design team.  I hope you will find the time to enter the challenge and cannot wait to see all you fruits and veggies.

Thanks for stopping by and see you all soon.

Hello again friends.  Don’t faint, I’m back as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and the lovely Keeley has set the theme and she has chosen “pink fluffy cupcakes”.  So basically we want to see you use pink as the main colour, include something fluffy and at least one cupcake – simples!  Here is my card:

I have used a cute image from The Greeting Farm called ‘cupcake Anya’ and coloured her with a mix of promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are papermania from the ‘sweet nothings’ paper pad and the card is SU.  My “fluffy” part is the flower which I die cut out of felt (1 rolled flower and 2 magnolia doohickey flowers glued together).  I got the felt from dies to die for who are now selling 12x12 pieces in lots of gorgeous colours.  I made this card for my mother to give to her friend and it’s A5 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Prairie Fairy and one lucky winner will receive a $10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Passion for promarkers #120–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I trust you all had a good Monday – mine went in a flash as work was manic – but that’s much better than it dragging though lol!

I’m here this morning with my card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Anja has set the theme and she has chosen “altered but not square”, so dig out all your jars, bottles etc and get altering.  I decided to alter a hair gel container and here is my creation:

PFP challenge 120 - altered but not square

PFP challenge 120 - altered but not square (side view)

PFP challenge 120 - altered but not square (above view)

Sorry for all the pictures but I found it quite difficult to photograph well.  I have used a super cute digi image from the greeting farm called ‘cupcake Anya’ and coloured her with a mix of promarkers and flex markers.  The paper is from my stash and the kraft cardstock is from elzybells.  The lace and flowers are from wild orchid crafts.

Our sponsor this week is Joanna sheen and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Charisma cardz #27–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you’re surviving the awful weather we’re having this week – it’s been perfect weather for ducks so far.  I cannot believe how different it is from last week’s tropical temperatures.  Fingers crossed that it is just a minor blip!!

I’m here this morning as we have a brand new challenge over at charisma cardz challenge.  The lovely Sally has set the theme and chosen “all about flowers”, so a really nice and simple one for you.  I’m sure we will be swamped with loads of gorgeous creations for this one!  Here is my card:

charisma cardz #27 - all about flowers

charisma cardz #27 - all about flowers (close up)

I used a gorgeous (but sadly neglected) stamp from the greeting farm from the ‘miss Anya collection’ and coloured her with my promarkers.  I decided to use a flowery background paper and punch out some extra flowers to fit with the theme.  As the paper was so busy I kept the embellishments to a minimum but overall I’m fairly happy with this card and I really like the colours.

We have two sponsors this week, firstly we have Simon Says Stamp who are offering a $20.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.

SimonSaysStampBlinkie1

Our second sponsor is Crimson Cloud who are offering 3 packs of die-cuts from their website.

Passion for promarkers #105–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I had a lovely day out with my mother yesterday and after a quick stop at the hospital it was into Cardiff for a full day of shopping.  We had a great time chatting and laughing and it was fantastic to spend the entire day with my mum, which I haven’t done for such a long time.  Even the weather was behaving until about 10 minutes before we were due to leave, which was brilliant.

Enough of my rambles and onto the real reason you are here!  Today we have a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge and the lovely Andie has set the theme and she has chosen “park life”.  We want to see all your images featuring things you can do in the park i.e. play on the swings, ride your bike etc.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 105 - parklife

PFP challenge 105 - parklife (close up)

I used a super cool image from the greeting farm called ‘skater Ian’ and the papers are my mind’s eye from the ‘true blue’ paper pad.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and they are offering a “special prize” this week. The prize will be 20 x new ultra-fine nib attachments for Promarkers. These have literally just been announced and you can read all about them here.  They clip straight over the top of the bullet nib, and are an ‘extra upgrade’.  Wow who wouldn’t want to be one of the first to try out this new and interesting new product.  Not even the design team have tried these yet lol!  They will be so useful for smaller images and fine detailed work.

Passion for promarkers #98–DT card

Good morning everyone.  It’s back to normal today after the Easter holiday *groan* and I’m sure I’ll be having mega trouble getting the boys out of bed this morning!!  Wasn’t the weekend weather gorgeous once again, and I hope you all had a fantastic time, whatever you got up to.

There is a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge today and Vix has chosen the theme of “fit for a princess”, which is very apt since we now have Princess Catherine (aka the Duchess of Cambridge) as a new member of the royal family.  Here is my card:

I have used a digi image by the greeting farm called ‘princess Anya’ the paper is from a gorgeous pad by DCWV called ‘nana’s nursery – baby girl’.  The pad is so sweet and some of the papers have glitter already on them, like the cherry paper on the bottom of my card – it looks beautiful IRL.

Passion for promarkers #97–DT card

Happy Tuesday dear friends.  Isn’t it a great feeling to know there are only 3 working days this week *woohoo*, not that I really dislike my job, but I’d much rather craft all day lol!  I’m here to share my card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week Sarah has set the theme and she has chosen “pre-historic”, now don’t panic too much, it’s not as bad as it sounds lol!  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 97 - pre-historic

PFP challenge 97 - pre-historic (close up)

I have used a super cute image from the greeting farm which is from the ‘happy day’ set.  I cut the brown mat with my new-ish go-kreate die and I think it makes a nice change from my usual lots of layers.  I wanted to use the dinosaur paper from basic grey ‘archaic’ paper pad but unfortunately I only had a tiny scrap left, so I decided to make a “badge” to use as an embellishment.

Our sponsor this week is Crafter’s Companion and this is the first time they have sponsored us.  They are offering one lucky winner a £20.00 voucher to spend in their online store.  They have lots of gorgeous stamps to use with your promarkers, so you will be spoilt for choice.

Onto today’s post and I’m sharing my card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  We have a lovely sketch by Saphira to work with this week so I hope you can play along with us.  Here is my card:
