Krafty Chicks challenge #731 - Anything Goes

Good Morning lovely friends; it's Thursday so that means it's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge.  We have a 5 week month so that means we have an extra 'Anything Goes' challenge this week and Diane is our hostess.  It can't get any easier than ATG so come and join in the fun with us.
It was my little sister's birthday yesterday so this challenge was perfect timing for me.  I was inspired by a card I saw by Gina K Designs a few week's ago and as soon as I saw it I knew I was going to make my sister a card.  My card is 6" x 6" for a change and it need to be bigger to fit on the gorgeous wreath.  I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the wreath:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by stamping all my images and used the matching stencils to colour them in.  I love matching stencils as they make colouring so simple but look fantastic.  I also used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I used the square dies from Master Layouts 3 to cut the panel behind my wreath and adhered them together with double sided tape.  I then cut a white panel 5 3/4' square and a slightly larger mat black.  I used a stencil and some very light grey ink to create a soft background for my card.  I temporarily placed the wreath where I wanted it so that I could stamp the 'sister' word in black ink and then adhered the wreath using foam squares.  I stamped and die cut the birthday sentiment and also added that with foam squares.  The smaller square was added to the stencilled square with double sided tape and then the whole thing was adhered to my card base with double sided tape.  For an extra bit of bling I added a few clear sequins around the sentiment and also on the wreath.  For the inside I created the same panels and also did the stencilling again.  I stamped, stencilled and die cut one more flower and adhered it to the bottom left corner with liquid glue.  I stamped a sentiment in black ink in the centre.  The panels were then adhered to the card base with double sided tape.  A really pretty card, which looked even nicer in real life, and my sister loved it.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps & More challenge - die cuts and/or stencils
Beautiful Blossoms challenge - anything floral goes optional mood board
Creative Knockouts - ATG (10 challenges in total)
Tic Tac Toe challenge - multiples, die cuts, sparkle/shine

Summer Soiree Card Making IG Hop - Week 11

Hello friends; I hope you've had a great start to your week.

It's Week 11 and the final week of our Summer Soiree IG card hop, which has been organised by my lovely friend Kelly. I'm a little sad that our hop is coming to an end but don't worry we will be starting our 'fall' hop very soon.  Our theme for the last week is 'rainbows' so you can use images/dies of rainbows or even just rainbow colours.  What a fun theme.
Initially I was going to use rainbow colours and not go for the obvious choice but I found a cute rainbow die and changed my mind lol!
Here is my card:
A closer look:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by die cutting my white panel using a scalloped die and also cut a frame using the same die set.   I used the rainbow die and cut out each band using card from my scraps bin.  I used one of the negative parts of the die cut to place my bands back into place and then added some double sided tape to the back to keep them secure.  I used some white card and die cut out some small clouds.  I actually remembered to stamp my sentiment before I added any dimension to my panel and stamped this at the bottom in black ink.  I added thin foam tape behind the frame and adhered it to the matching white panel.  I added foam squares behind my rainbow and added that at a slightly jaunty angle inside my frame and added the clouds with a mixture of foam squares and liquid glue.  At the last minute I realised I had meant to stamp some raindrops so carefully using an acrylic block I stamped them around the rainbow in a light grey ink (thankfully they all turned out ok).  I adhered my panel onto the card base with double sided tape.  I wasn't going to add any embellishments but I must have gotten some ink on my fingers and there were a few smudges on the sides of the frame so decided to cover them with some silver sequins and they look ok I think.  For the inside I die cut another panel with the scalloped die and stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  In the same die set as the scalloped frame there was a mini rainbow so I decided to use that on the inside of the card.  Again I cut it out using scraps from my scraps bin and some clouds from white card.  I adhered the rainbow with double sided tape and the clouds with liquid glue.  I stamped 3 sets of raindrops around the rainbow.  The panel was then adhered to the card base with double sided tape.  It turned out being a really fun card with a pop of colour, which I think could be used for quite a few occasions.  I hope you like it.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps & More challenge - die cuts and/or stencils
Colorful Options challenge - yellow-green or rainbow
Crafters Cafe challenge - ATG option rainbows/lots of colours

Krafty Chicks challenge #730 - All Occasions

Hello lovely friends; sorry my post is a little late today.  It's Thursday so that means it's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge.  We are now on Week 4 which means Lori is our hostess and our theme as always is 'All Occasions', so come and join in the fun with us.
As it's All Occasions you can make whatever you like.  I always seem to need birthday cards so that is what I made but you can do anniversary, get well, thinking of you, back to school, whatever you want.  I had a sketch in mind when I made my card and I think it turned out really cute.  I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A close up of the images:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by stamping the cupcakes onto alcohol marker friendly card before colouring them with Promarkers and using the matching dies to cut them out.  I took a white card panel 4" x 5 1/4" and using a circle stencil ink blended some sea glass ink to create 3 interlinked circles.  I stamped 3 'happy' words so that they overlapped the circles slightly using black ink.  I then added the cupcakes with foam squares.  I stamped, white heat embossed and die cut my birthday sentiment and also added that with foam squares.  For a finishing touch I added some black dots randomly around my cupcakes using a memento marker pen.  I added the panel on the card base with foam tape.  For the inside I cut another white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and ink blended one circle using the stencil in the bottom left corner.  I added another cupcake with liquid glue over the circle and stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  I managed to get some ink above the sentiment so to camouflage it I added a few more black dots with the memento pen.  The panel was added to the card base with double sided tape.  Another CAS card today but I think it's perfect for a birthday.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Addicted to CAS challenge - blended (I ink blended my circles)
Addicted to Stamps & More challenge - die cuts and/or stencils
As You Like It challenge - favourite colouring medium (I'm with Sarah, Promarkers are my go to; I've had them for many years and they are still going strong and blend really well together)

Summer Soiree Card Making IG Hop - Week 10

Hello friends; I hope you've had a great start to your week.  Not a great week, weather-wise, here; it's grey, windy and very showery, although today has been dry so far.  Not really August weather so far this month.

We are now up to Week 10 of our Summer Soiree IG card hop, which has been organised by my lovely friend Kelly. This is the penultimate week and our theme is 'summer treats' so think ice cream, lollies (or popsicles as they call them across the pond), an iced frappuccino, etc the list is endless.
I was really pushed for time making my card this week and was delighted when searching through my stash I found these images already stamped, coloured and fussy cut and ready to go - score!

Here is my card:
A close up of the cute images:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I cut my white panel to 4" x 5 1/4" and simply stencilled the background using a fun splat stencil.  I added the images with foam squares and stamped the sentiment below in black ink.  I added the panel to the card base with foam tape.  For the inside I cut another white panel the same size, stencilled a portion of the design in the bottom right corner and stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  I did have to quickly stamp one more ice lolly and coloured it with promarkers and again fussy cut it out.  I added it over the partial splat with liquid glue.  The panel was added to the card base with double sided tape.  I think was the quickest card I've made for a while, thanks to most of the images already being done.  I think it's a fun thank you card; I hope you like it too.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Addicted to CAS challenge - blended (I blended 2 pink inks through my stencil)
Addicted to Stamps & More challenge - die cuts and/or stencils

AAA Colourful challenge #7 - guest designer

Hello again friends.  I was lucky enough to win a challenge over at AAA Colourful challenge and was offered the chance to be a guest designer.  I was honoured and accepted straight away.
Today is the day I get to share my card as it's the start of challenge #7 and they have an awesome colour board to inspire you.  The colours provided need to be the prominent ones you use but you can also include neutrals in your design.  You can make any type of papercraft project and it can be for any occasion.
When I saw the colour board my mind instantly went to a beach scene or seaside but I've already done that a few times recently so I thought that I would do something completely different.  I hope you like my interpretation.
Here is my card:
A close up of the ink blended die cuts:
I also decorated the inside:
I began by taking some smooth white card and ink blended a panel using a dark blue, lighter blue, green and yellow inks.  I also sprinkled some water droplets over the panel for some extra interest.  Once the panel was dry I used a leaf die and cut as many as I could from the panel.  I took another piece of white card and using scallop border die cut a strip about 1 1/2" x 5 1/4".  I laid the leaf die cuts behind the white strip in order of the colour board (dark blue down to yellow) but didn't feel like it was full enough so I cut a few white leaves and filled out the design with them.  I added double sided tape behind the strip and pressed it down onto the leaves; which was easier than adding them individually. I then added foam tape to the strip and to some random leaves for stability.  I cut a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and added the strip and leaves on the left hand side.  I was going to add a black pre-printed sentiment but found a white one I had previously coloured yellow which matched perfectly so used that instead; I added it with liquid glue.  I didn't add any embellishments as I thought it looked quite elegant without anything extra.  For the inside I cut another panel 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped a sentiment in the centre with black ink. To imitate the front I cut a white strip 1" x 4" and again used the scallop border die to create the decorative edge.  I had kept one of each colour of leaf and added them behind the strip with double sided tape.  The whole strip was then added to the bottom of the panel with double sided tape.  A fairly clean and simple card and it didn't take too long to make but I think it packs a punch.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

AAA Cards challenge - anything CAS goes optional twist holidays/travel
A Place to Start challenge - ATG optional twist diamonds, gold & pearls
Classic Design Challenge - ATG optional twist geometric designs/shapes
Daisy Chain challenge - for the girls

Krafty Chicks challenge #729 - CAS

Hello again lovely friends.  I hope you're all doing ok and having a great week.  It's Thursday so that means it's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge.  We are now on Week 3 which means Diane is our hostess and our theme as always is 'CAS (clean and simple)', so come and join in the fun with us.

I didn't have anyone in mind when I made this card (for a change) so just had fun and went with it.  I chose colours I liked and really like the finished card, even though it took 10 minutes to make!  I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a white panel 4" x 5 1/4".  I took 5 ink cubes and lightly swiped them across the panel from the left side so that they went to white at the right side.  I took a beautiful floral stamp and simply stamped it in black ink over the swiped panel; no colouring or anything fancy but I think it looks dramatic and modern.  I decided at this point to die cut the panel using a stitched rectangle die and also a black mat panel.  I adhered them together with double sided tape.  I stamped the sentiment onto black card using versamark embossing ink and added white embossing powder which I heat set; I had the matching die so cut it out with that.  The panel was added to my card base with foam tape and I also added the sentiment with foam squares.  I didn't add any embellishments as I thought it looked colourful and fun as it was.  For the inside I cut a white panel and a black mat panel using the same dies as for the front.  I again swiped the ink pads across the panel but this time I didn't even go as far as the middle of the panel and then stamped a sentiment in black ink.  The panels were adhered together with double sided tape and then onto the card base also with double sided tape.  A super quick card but really colourful and quite easy to mass produce using different colours.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Beautiful Blossoms challenge - anything floral goes optional mood board
CRAFT challenge - ATG option back to school
Daisy Chain challenge - for the girls
Simply Clean & Simple challenge - anything CAS option off centre
Stamping Sensations challenge - ATG or summer in the garden
Triple B challenge - use at least one bird, blooms or butterflies

I hope you will be able to join us for our 'CAS' challenge and I cannot wait to see your creations in our linky.  Please leave some love for my fellow chicks - LeanneDiane and Lori and also our guest designer Rachelle.

I have an extra card for you today so please pop back in a little while and check it out.
