Card Clubhouse IG Hop - Week 11

Hello lovely friends; I'm back to share my card for the Card Clubhouse IG hop organised by my sweet friend Kelly. We are on Week 11 and our theme is 'mix it up' so we would like to see either your mixed media projects or even papers or seasons that wouldn't normally go together.  We can't wait to see what everyone makes. There are going to be so many awesome creations along the hop this week and I can't wait to see what sparks your imagination.
I decided to go for a mixed media style card as I really like it when other people make them.  I'm not super confident with this theme as I don't like getting too messy but I did my own controlled version lol!.  I went with lilacs again and I really love how it turned out.  I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and did some ink smooshing with my medium lilac ink pad.  I didn't use watercolour paper just my regular smooth white so didn't go overboard with the water.  After it had dried a little I blended over the smooshing with the same ink.  I also splattered some of the dark lilac ink and some white gouache for some extra interest.  Once the panel had completely dried I took a fun abstract design stencil and some sparkle texture paste and added the pattern somewhat randomly; I then left the panel to dry again.  I stamped the butterfly onto vellum with white pigment ink and heat embossed it with fine detail embossing powder.  I used the coordinating die to cut it out.  I did brush on some of the lilac ink on the back of the butterfly just to soften it slightly.  I found some papers that had bold words on a white background and used the inks again to colour them and tore them into two strips.  I also took a rectangle of vellum and tore the edges.  I added foam squares behind the paper strips and adhered them to the vellum. I did die cut a silver circle to go behind my butterfly but it's not that noticeable once it was all stuck together.  I added the circle with double sided tape and the butterfly with liquid glue.  The stack was then adhered to the background with foam squares.  Finally I cut out a pre-printed sentiment, lightly blended over with some ink and added it over the butterfly with liquid glue.  I added some scrap white card behind the panel to give it some stability and then adhered it to my card base with double sided tape.  For the inside I cut another white panel, ink smooshed at the very bottom with the lilac ink and stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  I added a strip of vellum, a strip of paper, a silver circle and finally another vellum butterfly, all with liquid glue.  The panel was then adhered to my card base with double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Double D challenge - splatter (I used white gouache and purple ink to splatter)
Fab 'n' Funky challenge - use a stencil or embossing folder (I used a stencil & texture paste)
Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge - inspirational photo (I was inspired by the butterflies)

CASE IT IG Hop - May 26

Hello again friends. I hope you've had a great start to your weekend.  I'm here to share this month's card for the CASE IT Instagram Hop where we find a project on Instagram that inspires us and we will share that project as well as the project we’ve created. There are so many beautiful creations on Instagram the only difficult part is narrowing down which one to CASE (which means Copy And Share Everything).
This month I was inspired by Tina (@cardsandcoffeetime over on IG); as soon as I saw her card I was in love. I'm a big fan of Tina's and watch nearly all her videos over on YouTube.  Her pretty birthday card is just gorgeous and I love all the different textures and dies that she uses. I decided to make my card masculine but you can definitely see that my card was inspired by hers! Here is her card for my inspiration:
Isn't her card just beautiful? Using Ardyth's LIMES process (you can watch her video here) we list what we see - Tina has used white, teal and a hint of purple as her main colours, an embossing folder in the background, heart dies, some floral die cuts, a simple black sentiment and some sparkly embellishments. So I followed the layout but switched the embossing to the bottom instead of the top, I used a monochrome teal colour combo and used gold instead of the black sentiment.  I decided to use stars instead of hearts and balloons in place of the flowers.  I didn't really omit anything this time and my spin is that my card is masculine instead of feminine and also it's 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" in size. I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:

I began by embossing the teal panel using a candle embossing folder.  I die cut the two stars from white card and the balloons from three shades of teal card; the strings were cut from gold mirror card.  I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment onto one of the stars and added foam squares behind the balloons.  I adhered the stars overlapping the embossed panel by about half with liquid glue and added foam squares behind the whole piece before adding it to a 5" x 7" white panel. I added the balloons over the left hand star and finished off with some gold sequins.  I adhered the panel to the card base with double sided tape.  For the inside I cut another white panel 5" x 7" and added a strip of the candle embossed card (it is the darker teal as I originally cut them from both to see which one I preferred for the front and I thought why waste it so I used it on the inside instead).  I die cut a small white star and one more balloon and adhered them to the bottom right corner with liquid glue.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre of the panel with black ink and then adhered the panel to the card base with double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Allsorts challenge - monochromatic
Alphabet challenge - A is for air
Aud Sentiments challenge - embossing and/or flowers + sentiment
Can You Handle The Pressure challenge - use an EF optional theme balloons

Card Clubhouse IG Hop - Week 7

Hello lovely friends; I'm back to share my card for the new Card Clubhouse IG hop organised by my sweet friend Kelly. We are on Week 7 and as it's 'April Fool's Day' our theme is 'just for laughs'. I'm sure we all have some funny or punny sentiment stamps or images in our stash so grab them and join in the fun! We can't wait to see what everyone makes. There are going to be so many awesome creations along the hop this week and I can't wait to see what sparks your imagination.
I was searching through my stash and found this fun coffee themed sentiment stamp, which I'm not sure if I have ever used (and the store closed a very long time ago so shame on me!).  I paired it with a to-go coffee cup and I think it turned out super fun.  I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and using a coffee ring stamp created my background; I also ink blended around the edges for a softer look using the same brown ink pad.  I die cut the to-go coffee cup and adhered the pieces together with liquid glue and added some white highlights with a gelly roll pen.  I stamped and heat embossed both the sentiments using kraft card and gold embossing powder and fussy cut the coffee word and used my trimmer to cut down the other sentiment.  I adhered everything onto the background with foam squares.  I added some scrap white card behind the panel and adhered it to the card base with double sided tape.  I finished off with a few red sequins. For the inside I cut another white panel and stamped and ink blended along the bottom to match the front.  I die cut another cup and adhered it to the bottom right corner with liquid glue.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre with brown ink and adhered the panel to the card base with double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

As You Like It challenge - favourite embellishments (I really like these smooth sequins without the hole as they are pretty and suitable for all types of cards)
Do-All Creative challenge - repeated stamping (my background is one stamp repeated)
Farm Quest Grocery Game challenge - anything food (or drink) goes
Mix It Up challenge - ATG optional die cuts
The Paper Funday challenge - ATG optional twist die cuts/punches

Patterned Paper IG Hop - March 26

Hello friends, welcome back to my little blog. I'm here today to share my card for this month's Patterned Paper Party Instagram Hop. Do you love patterned paper? Do you have a huge stash that needs using? Well so do we and it's time to get it used! We will be hopping on the 20th of each month to share our ideas. We will definitely be creating cards, but maybe sometimes tags, ATCs, gift bags/boxes, mini albums and scrapbook pages too. We want our patterned paper to be used.
The theme is always 'anything goes' but each month we will have an optional twist that can be used if you like; this month the twist is 'flowers', which is such an easy theme, so grab your patterned papers and join in the fun.  I have this gorgeous paper pad from Gina K Designs that I wanted to use but I was torn which papers to use so I picked out a few to try and ending up loving them all so to solve my problem I made two cards lol!  I used a postage die and filled the spaces with the patterned paper and I think they turned out so pretty.  I hope you like them too.
Here are my cards:
Here is Card 1:
and here is Card 2:
A closer look at the gorgeous paper on card 1:
Plus I decorated the insides:
I began by die cutting two of the postage dies from white card.  Also in the same die set there is a window frame die that cuts out the frame but also the rectangles and these fit perfectly in the postage die so I used the frame to cut my patterned paper plus an extra white layer for each piece to give them a bit more stability.  I adhered the rectangles to the postage piece with liquid glue.  For the lighter papers and die cut a mat layer from a peachy coloured card and for the darker papers I cut a mat layer from green paper (that also came from the paper pad) and I adhered them together with liquid glue.  I didn't want to hide too much of the papers so I just grabbed two sentiment stamps/dies and gold heat embossed the sentiment onto white card for the lighter papers and white heat embossed onto the green paper for the darker papers.  I cut both sentiments out with the coordinating dies.  I also cut an extra 3 layers for the sentiment so that I could stack them out.  I adhered the sentiments with liquid glue.  I finished off with some gold pearls on the lighter card and pink pearls on the darker card.  I added some scrap white card behind each panel and adhered them to the card bases with double sided tape.  For the inside I cut a stitched rectangle from white card and the mat layer was cut with the peach card for card 1 and the green paper for card 2.  I added a strip of the paper to the bottom of each panel with liquid glue and stamped a sentiment (using a similar colour ink pad) to the centre of each panel.  The panels were then adhered to the card base with double sided tape.  Do you have a favourite card?  I love them both but I think the peachy coloured one just pips it for me.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Beautiful Blossoms challenge - anything floral goes optional mood board
Love Those Pretty Papers challenge - use your patterned papers optional theme circles
Paper Rocks Scissors - use papers and/or scissors

We hope you will be inspired by our Patterned Paper Party IG Hop and will pop over and check out all the gorgeous creations along the way. If you would like to join us please visit my Instagram page or use the hashtag #patternedpaperpartyhopmarch2026 and we will find you.

Krafty Chicks challenge #810 - Birthday

Good morning lovely friends; I hope you're having a great week. It's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge and this week we are on Week 1; as always the theme is 'birthday' and Leanne is our hostess. This is such an easy challenge as we always need birthday cards so we hope you will come over and join in the fun with us.
I didn't have anyone in mind when I made this card and as there are quite a few 'green' challenges around at the moment I decided to use a green & gold colour combo for my card.  It turned out quite clean and simple too but I love the finished card and I hope you do too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I started by cutting a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and using a stencil and some green ink created my soft background.  I die cut two of the leaf clusters, one in gold and one in vellum and cut them in half as they were quite long.  I adhered the vellum leaf first and then laid the gold one over top using liquid glue.  I gold heat embossed the sentiment and used a sentiment strips die to cut it out (I also cut 3 more from white card to stack behind it).  I adhered the sentiment across the middle of the leafery with liquid glue and finished off with a few gold pearls.  I added some scrap white card behind my panel and then adhered it to the card base with double sided tape.  For the inside I cut another white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and stencilled a border at the bottom before adding some tiny pieces of the leafery with liquid glue.  I stamped a sentiment in green ink and then adhered the panel to my card base with double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

A Cut Above challenge - ATG with a die cut
Aud Sentiments challenge - glitter/bling and/or St. Patrick's green + sentiment
Cardz 4 Galz challenge - embossing heat or dry (my sentiment is heat embossed)
Craft Rocket challenge - no design paper
Fab 'n' Funky challenge - shades of green
INKspiration challenge - use utensils
Inspiration Station challenge - inspiration photo (I was inspired by the colours)
Just Us Girls challenge - die week - luck/green
Mix It Up challenge - ATG optional die cuts
PINspirational challenge - green and gold
Stencil Fun challenge - use a stencil optional vines/vinery
Try It On Tuesday challenge - make it feminine

I hope you will be able to join us for our 'birthday' challenge and I cannot wait to see your creations in our linky. Please leave some love for my fellow chicks - Leanne, Diane and Lori.
