Passion for Promarkers #80 – DT card

Good morning everyone, I can’t believe we are already half way through the passion for promarkers Mega Christmas challenge!!  It is time for design team 2 to share their samples with you so I have a card to show you this week.  Don’t forget you have until 4th January 2011 to enter and you can submit as many cards/projects as you like.  You are certainly keeping the design team busy, we have had lots of gorgeous entries already!!  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 80 - anything goes

PFP challenge 80 - anything goes (close up)

My mother asked me to make a 90th birthday card for her friend and so I decided to combine the two.  I’ve used a super cute digi image by CC designs called ‘Rosalie with roses’ and the finished card is A5 in size.  I really like the colour scheme and I thought it was a little more subtle for a 90 year lady.

We have lots of gorgeous prizes up for grabs and in case you missed the original post here is a little reminder:

Letraset are generously offering a set of 40 promarkers in specific craft colours stored in two promarker wallets – fab eh!

Simon Says Stamp are generously offering 3 x $10.00 gift certificates to their online store!

JUst Tracys New Look

Whiff of Joy Stamps are generously offering 1 stamp of winner’s choice

Some Odd Girl are offering 3 digi images of the winner’s choice

if that wasn’t enough - they are also offering a 25% discount to everyone on any order placed on their site during the challenge period using code PRO25 (excluding sale items)!!

Please pop over and check out the samples from design team 2 as they are stunning as usual.  Sadly it is also their final set of cards for 6 months as they now leave us for their DT break (sob!!!).  Don’t forget we will be back with a brand new challenge on 4th January 2011 and design team 1 will be back for their 6 months ‘active duty’.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

I’ll be back later to update this bit lol!

I hope you are all bearing up under the strain of this awful weather we are having at the moment.  I am so far behind now it is not funny!!  I still have presents to buy and wrap and I still haven’t written my Christmas cards!!  I think lots of my relatives will be having IOU’s instead of presents this year lol!  I’m sure lots of people are in the same situation though so I won’t be the only one.  Whatever you are up to today please stay safe and warm.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge #122 – DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MY STAMP WITH FUN DT CARD

Hello I’m back again to share my DT card for today’s new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Victoria has set the theme and she has chosen “thank you”.  It was a nice change to make something other than Christmas cards.  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 122 - thank you

CCC challenge 122 - thank you (close up)

I was lucky enough to be given an image by Tickled Pink Stamps to use on my card and this lovely lady is called ‘Lylah’.  I have distressed all the edges of my papers and chalked around the image, sentiment and flowers.

This challenge will last for two weeks and ends on 3rd January 2011.  We have two sponsors this week – firstly we have The Creative Cottage who are offering a £10.00 gift voucher to one lucky winner.

creative cottage header

Secondly we are being sponsored by Tickled Pink Stamps and they are offering either 2 digi’s or 1 rubber stamp to the lucky winner.  As you can see their images are gorgeous and really quirky.

Tickled pink stamps

The rest of the design team have created amazing cards once again this week, so I hope you will have the time to pop over and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I haven’t got time to list all my supplies but I will pop back later and do that.  I will also find out what challenges I can fit my card into lol!

Once again have a warm and safe Monday, don’t venture out unless you really have to (like me unfortunately!).  Thanks for stopping by today.

Stamp with Fun #90 – DT card

Good morning friends, I’m here to share my card for this week’s Stamp with Fun challenge.  This week we have a lovely sketch by Tina46 to use and shock horror I made another Christmas card lol!  I cannot believe it will be the ‘big day’ in 5 days, I am not at all prepared.  I still have presents to buy and wrap and cards to write and deliver.  So no pressure then haha!  Here is the sketch:

SWF #90 sketch

and here is my card:

SWF #90 - sketch

SWF #90 - sketch (close up)

I have used a super cute image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Chloe and xmas tree’ and it is currently reduced in price to just £1.00.  Even if you’ve finished all your cards for this year why not pick up a bargain in readiness for next year’s cards.  I’m definitely making myself start earlier next year and may even start straight away whilst I’ve got all my supplies to hand (I know I probably said this last year too lol!).  I thought this cute image fitted in with the pastel colour scheme really well.

The rest of the design team have created gorgeous samples once again this week so please pop over and take a look.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I am a little pressed for time at the moment so I will add the ingredient list and any challenges I can enter my card into later.

I hope you have a wonderful Monday and stay wrapped up warm.  I will be back later with my DT card for cupcake craft challenge.  Thanks for stopping by.

Marcea’s Music Saves my Soul

Hello everyone, I’m really sorry for the long absence since my last post!  I’m back to share with you another favourite track for Marcea’s ‘Music Saves My Soul’.  This week I have gone for another oldie and have chosen a song by the mega band Heart (and to be honest I could have chosen so many as I really love their music).  However the song I have gone for this week is “what about love” and I have to say her voice is stunning and I really love their “big hair” lol!  I hope you will have time to share one of your favourite songs.

I also wanted to remind you that the Passion for Promarkers challenge is running until 4th January and the theme is “anything goes”.  We’ve had a massive response already, but you can enter as many times as you like until the challenge ends.  We will be posting new samples from team 2 on Tuesday so pop back and take a look – there will also be a card from me!

Also the theme over at charisma cardz challenge is ‘new year’ and ends on Thursday so still plenty of time to enter that challenge too.  I had a DT holiday last week (which means a week off) but I will be back again this week with a new card on Thursday.

I’ll be back tomorrow with my DT cards for the cupcake craft challenge and also the stamp with fun challenge so hopefully you will come by and take a peek.

I am so behind with everything at the moment.  I have eventually trimmed up (thanks to my eldest son for all his help with that) but I still haven’t written my cards or bought all my pressies and with the amount of snow we’ve had since Friday that is going to be prove more difficult now.  Oh well some people will have to make do with money this year I think!!  Here are two pictures taken on Friday after the first lot of snow we had:

Dec 17th 2010 (1)

Dec 17th 2010 (2)

I hope you enjoy the remainder of the weekend and if you have to go and about please take care.  Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp with fun #89 – DT card

Good morning everyone, have you finally recovered from watching the x-factor last night lol!  I haven’t really watched much of it this year but I was gripped last night and was gutted that Rebecca didn’t win, although I’m sure she’ll do ok from it.  I thought Take That were brilliant (although Robbie was his usual hyper self).

Music Saves My Soul #8

Hi everyone, just a quick post from me today.  It’s Saturday so that means it’s time for Marcea’s “music saves my soul”.  This week I have chosen an old song (yet again) by Aqua called “turn back time”.  Now I know some of you may be surprised that I’m choosing something by Aqua but this song is really beautiful and so different from their “Barbie girl”……… take a listen and I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I can’t wait to hear what you all share this week.  Sorry it’s a fleeting visit today but I’m busy with Christmas cards (groan!!).

Good morning everyone, well the week is whizzing by again, so I’m here to share my DT project for this week’s charisma cardz challenge.  This week Allison has set the theme and she has chosen “Christmas gift” so get your thinking caps on and join in the fun.  I decided to make a bottle tag as I usually buy my BIL a bottle of something for Christmas.  Here is my project:

We have two sponsors this week.  Firstly we have Make It Crafty and they are offering one lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice from their store.
