Krafty Chicks challenge #736 - Stamps

Good morning lovely friends.  I hope you're all doing ok and having a great week so far.  It's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge and we are back to Week 1 which means Leanne is our hostess, and our theme as always is 'Stamps'.  We hope you will come over and join in the fun with us.
I decided to make a masculine card for a change this week.  My son is always looking for cards for his friends and is usually moaning that they are not manly enough so at least I've got one in my stash for now lol!  It was almost a SIP card (stamps, ink, paper) but then decided to emboss the background at the last moment.  I hope you like it.

Here is my card:

A closer look at the stamping:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I saw a really cool sketch that was the starting point for my card and I used some really old clear stamps that I re-discovered when looking for something else.  I cut a small panel of white card 2 1/4"x 4 3/8" and using the different sized stars randomly stamped them in each corner.  My colour palette was inspired by a lot of the autumn challenges around at the moment.  I stamped a happy birthday in black ink in the centre.  I matted the panel onto a dark grey card using double sided tape.  For the background panel I cut a white panel 3 3/4" x 5" and embossed it with a plaid embossing folder and again matted this onto a slightly larger grey panel using double sided tape.  I added the smaller panel onto the embossed panel using foam tape.  This was then added onto my card base with double sided tape.  I wasn't going to add any embellishments but I found these teeny tiny silver stars in my stash so added a few of these amongst the stars.  For the inside I cut a white panel 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and added some star gems in the bottom right corner to match the front and stamped a small sentiment in black ink in the centre.  I again added a dark grey mat with double sided tape.  This was added to the card base with double sided tape.  A really clean and simple card and I think most men prefer their cards this way.

I would like to enter my cards into the following challenges:

AAA Cards challenge - anything CAS goes optional twist autumn (colours)
AAA Colourful challenge - colour board #8
Can You Handle The Pressure challenge - ATG (must use an EF) optional twist use a sentiment

Fall Friends Card Making IG Hop - Week 4

Hello again friends; I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. I'm back with my card for Week 4 of the 'Fall Friends' IG card hop organised by my lovely friend Kelly.  For Week 4 I am the hostess and I chose 'autumn critters and fall woodland animals' as I'm a sucker for cute critters.  I was thinking hedgehogs, deer, squirrels etc so grab your supplies and come join in the fun.
For my card this week I chose a well loved and adorable hedgehog stamp set.  I decided to create my own background 'paper' but it ended up quite busy so I had to change my plan slightly but it turned out better than I expected.  I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A close up of the cute hedgehog:
Of course I decorated the inside:
I began by creating my background paper using some smaller images from the stamp set.  I coloured them with Promarkers and then cut it out using a wonky rectangle die.  I stamped my hedgehog onto alcohol marker friendly card, coloured it with Promarkers and added a few white highlights.  I again used the wonky rectangle die to cut it out and decided to use a decorative edge die at the bottom for some extra interest.  Once I placed the image onto the background I thought it was a bit too busy and was going to do something else but thought it before I discarded it would try the eclipse technique and die cut the word hugs from the background.  I also cut it 3 more times from white card.  I stacked the white letters together and then added the patterned ones on top with liquid glue.  I adhered the background onto a layer of black card with a combination of double sided tape and liquid glue and then placed the letters back into the background with liquid glue.  I added the hedgehog panel at the top with double sided tape.  I stamped 'sending' onto black card and heat embossed it with white embossing powder and cut it out with a sentiment strip die.  I placed this onto the 'H' of the hugs with liquid glue.  The panel was then added onto my card base with double sided tape.  I didn't add any embellishments as there was lots going on already.  For the inside I cut another wonky rectangle and black layer and adhered them together with double sided tape.  I stamped the 3 small images in the bottom right corner and coloured them with Promarkers and stamped a sentiment in black ink in the centre.  The panel was added to the card base with double sided tape.  A fun autumnal birthday card and I think it's super cute.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Allsorts challenge - ATG (entry #3 - supplies list at bottom of post)

Scrapping4Fun challenge - GDT card

Hello again friends; I'm back with my second card for today.  I am honoured to be joining the Scrapping4fun challenge this month as a guest designer and their theme couldn't be any easier - 'anything goes'.
I had just received a new die set so decided to use that on my card along with a super cute image set that I've had for quite a while but never used.
Here is my card:
A close up of the cute image:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by stamping the cute fox image onto alcohol marker friendly card and coloured him with Promarkers.  I felt the fox was looking at something so added the teeny butterfly to his right and also coloured that with Promarkers.  I also stamped the sentiment in black ink above the fox.  I die cut the card base from white card and then using the matting dies cut out some kraft card layers and patterned paper layers.  I also die cut my image with the smallest square layer.  I adhered all the layers together with a mix of liquid glue and double sided tape but added the image layer with foam squares.  I decided to add some leaf die cuts to the sides which I cut from white card but then added some orange ink blending for some interest.  I added these with liquid glue.  I finished with some gold sequins.  For the inside I cut the same layers and adhered them together with liquid glue and double sided tape.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  For extra stability I also added the layers to the back of the card (but forgot to take a photo of that).  The card size is a normal A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") so is super cute and I really like the decorative scalloped edge on the bottom.  Expect to see more of these cards in the future lol!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

AAA Birthday challenge #66 - circle shaped

Good morning friends and welcome to October.  Well unfortunately autumn has started with lots of rain in my neck of the woods so not the start I wanted.  Let's hope I get the crisp and bright days I am dreaming of arrive soon.  Today I'm sharing my card for this month's brand new challenge over at the AAA Birthday challenge. This month Deekshita is the hostess and she has chosen 'circle shaped' as our theme.  Our guest designer this month is Nancy so please pop over to her blog and leave her some love.
To be clear: your card should be a circle shape, not just a card with circles on it.

I love the look of circle cards and definitely don't make them often enough.  I made my own card base using a large circle die and the finished card is 5" diameter.  I haven't coloured flowers for ages and after rooting through my stash found this large floral image that I hadn't used before and it was the perfect fit for my card base.  I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A close up of the beautiful flowers:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by stamping the flower image onto alcohol marker friendly card, coloured it with Promarkers and cut it out with the matching die.  I also stamped the sentiment in black ink and die cut it with a sentiment strip die.  I took an A4 sheet of white card and using a large circle die created my card base.  I cut another circle the same size as my card base and lightly ink blended some sea glass ink all over; I then added this to my card base with liquid glue.  I adhered the flower image with liquid glue.  I decided to make a frame to go on top of the card front and I created this with the same circle die and the next size down in the set.  I added this with foam strips.  I added the sentiment strip with foam squares and a few silver sequins.  For the inside I used the left over circle (from creating the frame) and stamped a portion of the flower image in grey ink on the left side.  I also stamped a sentiment in black ink.  This was added to the card base with double sided tape.   A fairly simple card but I'm happy with the finished result.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Beautiful Blossoms challenge - anything floral goes & optional mood board
Die Cut Divas challenge - ATG on a card
PINspirational challenge - shapes (shaped card)
The Cutie Pie challenge - birthday girls

The Design Team have created amazing cards as always so please pop over to the blog and check them out and perhaps leave them some love on their personal blogs.

I hope you will be able to join in with the challenge this month but don't forget it has to be birthday themed.  I can't wait to see your creations in the linky.

I'll be back in a short while with an extra card for you so I hope you can call back and check it out.  Until then, enjoy the rest of your day and thank you so much for stopping by.

Love and hugs
