Charisma cardz #13–DT card

I’m sorry for being so late with my post for this week’s charisma cardz challenge but I haven’t been very well since yesterday.  I was sent home from work as I had a “funny turn”.  I become light headed and everything was spinning.  I couldn’t walk straight or even focus – I can tell you it was very scary!  It began at 11am and lasted until 6pm – I really thought it was never going to end.  I am still not feeling 100% but I’m so grateful that the world had now stopped spinning lol!  I went to see my GP and as all my bloods etc were fine he thinks its due to the fact that I don’t eat regularly enough!!  My husband is in the background saying he told me so!!  I will have to try and remember to eat lunch from now on (which is something I never do) and have my tea before 10pm, which is my regular routine at the moment lol!  So a slapped wrist all around today haha!  Anyway enough of my ramblings and I need to be quick cos hubby has told me I can only stay on here for 10 minutes!

This week’s theme over at charisma has been set by Sally and she has chosen “bling and sparkles” so a lovely easy one for you this week.  I decided to go clean and simple again – here is my card:

charisma cardz #13 - bling & sparkles

charisma cardz #13 - bling & sparkles (close up)

I used a gorgeous butterfly digi from DigiStamp Boutique which was released in March and it is part of the “butterflies” collection, which includes two other images.  I decided to cut around the butterfly and had a ‘happy accident’ cos I cut off it’s antenna (poor thing) but then I had the idea to add some bling instead so that was my bling and sparkles sorted lol!  I coloured the butterfly with promarkers and graduated the colour outwards, which looks much more defined IRL.

We have three sponsors this week:

Make it Crafty are offering 3 digi images.

Pizzazz aplenty are offering a $10 voucher.

DigiStamp Boutique are offering 6 digi images.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples for your inspiration so please pop over and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Passion for promarkers #93–DT card

Good morning everyone, – I trust you had a good Monday and took advantage of the last day of the nice weather for this week (I’m sounding like a weather girl at the moment aren’t I lol!).  I hope you are ready for a new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge this week cos today’s the day.  This week’s challenge has been set by Ida and she has chosen “bugs” (either critters or cars as Ida is mad about beetle cars – she has even used one on her card this week).  Don’t forget you must use your promarkers or aqua markers to be eligible for our prize.

Here is my card:

PFP challenge 93 - bugs

close up of the image:

close up of my first ever attempt at pleating!:

PFP challenge 93 - bugs (close up 2)

I have used a super cute image from Some Odd Girl stamps called ‘Bee Tia’ and have gone for a different look than my usual cards.  For a start I decided to use a DL tall card instead of a square card and didn’t do lots of matting and layering which I find hard not to do.  Quite a simple card but I really like the result.

We are lucky enough to have a new sponsor joining us this week Some Odd Girl stamps and it is a complete co-incidence that I used one of their images this week cos when I made it I didn’t even know who the sponsor was then lol!  The lucky winner will receive 3 digi images of their choice.

Cupcake craft challenge #135–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again crafty friends!  I’m back as promised with my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  I’ve had the honour of choosing this week’s theme and have gone for “flowers for mum” (or Mam as I call my mother lol!) as it will be Mother’s Day on 3rd April.  I thought it would be an excellent opportunity for you all to make your cards in plenty of time.  I have a double whammy as this year my mother’s birthday also falls on Mother’s Day (groan), so it’s a double set of cards needed for the weekend.  Anyway enough of my rambling here is my card:

CCC challenge 135 - flowers for mum

CCC challenge 135 - flowers for mum (close up)

Sorry the pictures are a bit naff today but I didn’t take them until late at night and these were the best I could get.  I was lucky enough to use one of our sponsors images this week called ‘Victorian’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I’ve eventually used one of the gorgeous filigree corners from wild orchid crafts which I’ve had in my stash for ages.  I wasn’t quite sure what to use to stick them down but I used a wet glue that dries clear and that has done the trick perfectly.

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs and the lucky winner will receive 4 digi images of their choice and you will definitely be spoilt for choice as they have so many gorgeous and girly images in their store.

sassy studio designs logo

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ prize and for March our sponsor is wild rose studio and one lucky winner will receive two of their 2011 spring release stamps – ‘Mia with Teddy’ and ‘Toby with Butterfly’ (pop over to the challenge blog to see pics).

Stamp with fun #104–DT card

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA since last Monday but I’ve been having computer problems and I only got my computer back from the shop on Friday.  Apparently it was a fan issue and now I’m £40.00 poorer – but boy did I miss it lol!  We’ve all become so dependent on them that it’s like our right arms have been cut off when we don’t have them – I think most of you will agree with me haha!

I hope you’ve all had a good weekend and are raring to go for the brand new challenge over at stamp with fun challenge.  This week we have a brilliant sketch by Tina46 to use.  Here is the sketch:

and here is my card:

I used a new image (well new for me anyway) from Lili of the valley and kept the layout really simple (as it’s for one of those ‘difficult’ males lol!).  I think the image is just perfect for a retirement card, which is an order for a friend in work.  I only added die-cut buttons and some pearls and voila!

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples for your inspiration once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.  You certainly kept us busy last week with over 200 entries.  I hope you will be able to join in again this week.

I would also like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Sweet stampin’ challenge – come rain or shine (my little bear is relaxing in the sun)

So as it’s Monday it means I’ll be back later with my DT card for the cupcake craft challenge so I would love it if you could call back and check it out.  I would also like to say hello to my new followers *waves* – Deb and Sam welcome to my little blog and thanks for following me.  Ok, so until later thanks for stopping by.

I’m here this morning to share with you my DT card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  This week we have the theme of “spring” so we can’t wait to see your pretty floral papers and soft pastel colours.  I needed a card for my in-law’s anniversary so decided to combine the two.  Here is my card:
