Passion for promarkers #115–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  Well the bank holiday certainly flew by but at least we have a shorter working week now *yay*.  I cannot believe that the next holiday will be Christmas (excuse my swearing lol!).  I’m not even that organised for the boys to go back to school yet – I’ve only bought them pens so far so I’d better get my act together this week.  I’m lucky as they don’t go back until Wednesday and Thursday next week, so I have a bit of extra time yet.

I’m here this morning with my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge and I have to say we have a very special challenge for you this week.  We are being sponsored by Letraset and as their Flex Markers are due to be released very soon they are offering one lucky winner 2 x 6 pen sets of flex markers of their choice.  Therefore to coincide with this we decided our challenge this week would be ‘flexible’ i.e. “anything goes”.  Don’t forget to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your promarkers, aqua markers, tria markers or even flex markers if you are lucky enough to have them.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 115 - flexible

I have used a super cute image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘off to school Eva’ which is just perfect for this time of year (there is also a ‘boy’ version called ‘off to school Ben’ which is equally as adorable).  I thought the colour scheme was really fresh and I really love gingham, so the perfect combination I think.  The fun letters were found whilst hunting around in my stash, although I was looking for ABC letters, but I’m happy with these as I think look cute.

As I mentioned Letraset are our sponsor this week and the prize is 2 x 6 pen sets of Flex Markers for one lucky winner.

Cupcake craft challenge #157–DT project

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again dear friends.  I’m back to share with you my DT project for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week I have the honour of choosing the theme and I decided to go for something completely out of my comfort zone and so my theme is “alter it”.  I want you to take something plain and boring and turn it into something beautiful lol!

I found a plain 6x6 piece of chipboard that came in the back of a paper pad and decided to make something out of that.  Here is the finished project – a stylish shopping list that you can put on your fridge:

CCC challenge 157 - alter it!

CCC challenge 157 - alter it! (close up)

CCC challenge 157 - alter it! (before)

I used a very apt image from whiff of joy stamps called ‘shopping Willow’ and I coloured her with promarkers.  I cut her out and added 3d foam to raise her from the paper.  The papers are echo park from the ‘springtime’ paper pad and the flowers from wild orchid crafts.  I also altered the plain notepad and pencil by covering them with patterned paper and the pink seam binding was actually white but I altered it with an ink pad.  So that it will go onto the fridge I added some sticky metallic to the back of the chipboard piece (the same stuff that you can use to store your nesties safely in place).

Our sponsor this week is pink gem designs and they are offering one lucky winner 4 digi images from their online store.

PinkGemDesignsBlogBannerNEW

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ sponsors, and for August we have 3 as it is our birthday month.  Firstly we have Crafts U Love who are offering a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store, secondly we have Mo’s Digital Pencil who are offering a $10.00 gift code to use in their online store and thirdly we have Sew Sweet who are offering a £10.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.  So definitely lots of yummy reasons to play along this month.

The rest of the design team have created gorgeous projects as usual, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my project into the following challenges:

Stamp with fun #126–DT card

Good Bank Holiday Monday dear friends.  It’s so fantastic to have an extra day off from work isn’t it!  We’ve got no plans today so I guess I’ll just have to craft lol!  I hope you’ve had a great weekend and if you’re out and about today have a brilliant time.  Of course if you’re staying home and crafting, like I am, then you’re bound to have a good day!!

I’m here this morning with a brand new challenge over at stamp with fun challenge.   This week we have a gorgeous sketch by Andrea-Emmi41 to use.  Here is my card:

I have used one of the new August images from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘lil pop girl with flowers’ and it’s part of the offer of the month from the set called ‘lil pops collection 1’.  They are so cute and although they are quite small, not too bad to colour, especially if you have the fine nibs for your promarkers.  You can get them at a special price at the moment so check them out in the shop here.    There is also a second offer of the month which has 3 gorgeous Christmas images, so plenty of reasons to check out the shop.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples, as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

I hope you will be able to join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  It is such a fantastic sketch, with lots of layers, which I love, so I will definitely be saving it for another day.  I’ll be back later with my DT project for this week’s cupcake craft challenge but until then thanks for stopping by.

Good morning dear friends.  Well another week is flying by and I can’t believe it’s Thursday already – where did the rest of the week go?  I hope your week has been fantastic, mine’s been ok, although I don’t seem to have achieved very much lol!

It’s time for a brand new challenge over at charisma cardz challenge and it’s team Gem’s turn to share their cards.  Our theme this week is “glitter it” so I’m sure we’ll lots of gorgeous entries to drool over!  Here is my card:

charisma cardz #34 - glitter it

charisma cardz #34 - glitter it (close up)

I have used a super cute stamp from CC designs called ‘cupcake Birgitta’ and I added stickles to her cupcakes and a sakura glaze pen to her wings.  I also used gorgeous glittery paper from first editions from the ‘summer breeze’ paper pad and my flower has glitter in the centre.  The flower was a gift from my cupcake teamie Donna and the beautiful lace is a recent purchase from wild orchid crafts

We have two sponsors this week, firstly we have our regular sponsor DigiStamp Boutique and the lovely Sally-Ann is offering 6 digi images of the winner’s choice.

Good morning dear friends, how are you all doing this morning?  Unfortunately by the time you are reading this I will be in work *groan* but hey I have to pay for my crafty goodies somehow lol!  I’m back this morning as it’s time for a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week I have the honour of setting the theme and have chosen “no patterned paper”.  Now as you know I LOVE my papers so I really don’t know what possessed me to pick this theme haha!  Definitely a challenge then and I’m sure lots of you are like me too and love your paper, but if I can do it then you can to!  Don’t forget you must use your promarkers, aqua markers, tria markers, or even flex markers if you’re lucky enough to have them, to be eligible for our prize draw.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 114 - no patterned paper

It wasn’t a deliberate act but I seem to have used another sugar nellie stamps image today and this one is called ‘delicious’ and that cake certainly does look delicious doesn’t it.  She is obviously coloured with promarkers and I’ve just used yellow and kraft cardstock.  The yellow card is embossed with my swiss dots embossing folder and the kraft cardstock has been run through a card ribbler!!  The gorgeous lace is from wild orchid crafts

Our sponsor this week is whiff of joy stamps and the lucky winner will receive one of their newly released stamps called “which direction”.

Cupcake craft challenge #156–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

I’m want to apologise for the lateness of my post.  I scheduled it like I normally do but somehow it disappeared and here I am re-typing it all again!!  Anyway I’m back to share my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and this week the lovely Donna has set the theme and she has chosen “a gift card” i.e. she would like to see a card that is also a gift.  I have to say I really struggled with this challenge, I don’t know why as I’ve made gift cards before but I think I wanted to try something different but couldn’t decide what to do.  In the end I decided to try and make a criss-cross card, which I think turned out ok for a first try.  Here is my card (sorry a few more pics than normal today):

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card

Close up of image:

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card (close up 1)

Outside and inner panel:

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card (inside & out)

Inner panel:

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card (inside)

I seem to have had a sugar rush today as both my cards feature a sugar nellie stamps image.  This card features ‘furry friends’ which is so cute and it’s such a simple image to colour!  I think I will be changing the gift card to a prettier one nearer Christmas but this one was the only one I could lay my hands on when I made the card.  I kept the inside panel quite simple with just a stamped but uncoloured image and cute sentiment and a few snowflakes.  I’ll definitely be trying this style of card again – so thank you Donna for making me try something new!

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo stamps and they are offering one lucky winner a prize of 7 digi images from their online store.

The rest of the design team have created stunningly gorgeous gift cards, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my criss-cross card into the following challenges:

Stamp with fun #125–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend – mine was great – it just went too fast lol!  My bathroom is coming along slowly, although I have a new toilet and vanity unit *woohoo* – I think it will be a few more weeks yet though until it’s completely finished – I can’t wait!

Onto my card and as it’s Monday it’s time for a brand new challenge over at stamp with fun challenge and this week our theme is “summer”.  I don’t think our summer is going to last much longer as the nights are beginning to “draw in” and there is a definite chill in the air, so let’s make the most of it and make a bright and cheerful summer themed card.  Here is my card:

SWF #125 - summer

Winter wonderland–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I can’t believe it’s Friday already, my week has just gone by in a flash – which is fine with me lol!  My bathroom is coming along well, albeit slowly, but I’m sure it is going to look fantastic when it’s finished.  I hope you’ve all had a brilliant week and are looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

It’s time for a brand new challenge over at winter wonderland challenge and this week it is my turn to set the theme.  I decided that although we all really struggle with men’s cards we do still have to make them so I chose “cards for men/boys” as my theme.  I am lucky enough to be able to share a sneak peek of an image that is due to be released over at DigiStamp Boutique called “Henry & presents” but you won’t have to wait long to get it as Sally-Ann is releasing lots of gorgeous new images in the next day or so.  Here is my card:

WW #14 - boys & men

Isn’t it such a super cute image?  I love DSB images so much and they are so easy to colour in.  You will not be disappointed with the new releases I promise you.  There are a few new Christmas images (including the one I’m sharing today) and also some gorgeous every day images too.  I’ll let you know as soon as they are available in the shop.  The papers are from my new wild rose studio “traditional Christmas” paper pack and the snowflakes have been cut with a marianne creatables die.

We have two sponsors this week – firstly we have Crafty Emma’s store and she is offering one lucky winner a £10.00 voucher (excl. p&p) to spend in her online store.

Passion for promarkers #113–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope your Monday went well, my first day back at work went ok with lots to catch up with.  It was lovely to see my friends and they are so fantastic and really appreciate me when I’m back which is so lovely.  The day just whizzed by – which was fantastic – let’s hope the rest of the week is the same lol!

I don’t know if you remember me telling you but we were supposed to be having a new bathroom fitted whilst we were on our holiday but unfortunately our builder was still tied up on another job – well he finally arrived today so hopefully I will have a brand spanking new gorgeous bathroom very soon.  I have waited so long for this new bathroom, other things always seemed to need to be done before it but yay it’s finally being replaced.  I am so looking forward to seeing the finished result.

Ok, enough waffling, let’s get onto my card.  There is a brand new challenge this morning over at passion for promarkers challenge which has been set by Debs.  She has chosen the fun theme of “a pirate’s life for me” so we want to see all your pirate images and I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun with this one.  As luck would have it I needed a card for an order for a 5 year old boy so this theme was perfectly timed for me.  Here is my card (which is A5 in size):

PFP challenge 113 - a pirate's life for me

PFP challenge 113 - a pirate's life for me (close up)

The cute image is from DigiStamp Boutique and is called “pirate Josh and parrot” and I obviously coloured him with promarkers.  The papers have been in my stash for years and are by sandylion and I also came across the matching stickers whilst hunting around for embellishments.  The flash has glared on the smaller round stickers (which are coins by the way) but IRL they look really effective and perfect for a child’s card I think.  I added a computer generated sentiment and some natural twine from SU and my card was finished.  I hope the little boy liked it!

Our sponsor this week is DigiStamp Boutique and Sally-Ann is offering one lucky winner 6 digi images of their choice.  As you know I love DSB images and there are so many gorgeous images to choose from.  The winner will be spoilt for choice.
