Cupcake craft challenge #156–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

I’m want to apologise for the lateness of my post.  I scheduled it like I normally do but somehow it disappeared and here I am re-typing it all again!!  Anyway I’m back to share my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and this week the lovely Donna has set the theme and she has chosen “a gift card” i.e. she would like to see a card that is also a gift.  I have to say I really struggled with this challenge, I don’t know why as I’ve made gift cards before but I think I wanted to try something different but couldn’t decide what to do.  In the end I decided to try and make a criss-cross card, which I think turned out ok for a first try.  Here is my card (sorry a few more pics than normal today):

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card

Close up of image:

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card (close up 1)

Outside and inner panel:

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card (inside & out)

Inner panel:

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card (inside)

I seem to have had a sugar rush today as both my cards feature a sugar nellie stamps image.  This card features ‘furry friends’ which is so cute and it’s such a simple image to colour!  I think I will be changing the gift card to a prettier one nearer Christmas but this one was the only one I could lay my hands on when I made the card.  I kept the inside panel quite simple with just a stamped but uncoloured image and cute sentiment and a few snowflakes.  I’ll definitely be trying this style of card again – so thank you Donna for making me try something new!

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo stamps and they are offering one lucky winner a prize of 7 digi images from their online store.

Bugaboo stamps badge

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ sponsors, and for August we have 3 as it is our birthday month.  Firstly we have Crafts U Love who are offering a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store, secondly we have Mo’s Digital Pencil who are offering a $10.00 gift code to use in their online store and thirdly we have Sew Sweet who are offering a £10.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.  So definitely lots of yummy reasons to play along this month.

The rest of the design team have created stunningly gorgeous gift cards, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my criss-cross card into the following challenges:

Everybody art challenge – gifts

Stamp with fun #117–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  Well it was a scorcher here yesterday and I dried lots of washing, which I know is really boring but I was very happy!!  As I’ve mentioned before I’m not a sunbather but I really love to go to work in the sunshine and not have to worry about a coat or an umbrella.  Let’s just hope it’s not too clammy though (can’t have it all though can we lol!).

Anyway I’m here this morning as it’s time for a brand new challenge over at stamp with fun challenge.  This week we have a colour theme for you to follow – “lilac and cream”.  Now I’m not really a cream person, much prefer white so I may have cheated a little and used more of an off-white than cream!  Here is my card:

SWF #117 - lilac & cream

SWF #117 - lilac & cream (close up)

I have used a super cute image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Molly Spencer’ and she is part of the ‘Spencer Family’ collection which is one of the offers of the month for June.  You get 4 family images plus a bonus of 4 doodle images too – definitely fantastic value for money.  You have to be quick though as there are only a few more days left to grab this set at such an amazing price of just £2.99.  The papers are first edition from the ‘daydream’ paper pad which is available at Crafty Emma’s store.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so please pop over and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

A gem of a challenge – sketch

The crafty pad challenge – bold & bright or soft pastels (I’ve gone for soft pastels)

Dream valley challenge – ribbons

Paper sundaes challenge – choose 2 from: purple, gems, wings, paper piecing (I’ve used purple, gems and wings)

Everybody art challenge – anything goes

I love promarkers challenge – anything goes (3rd entry)

Scrapbook sisters challenge – anything goes

Stampavie and more challenge – butterflies

4 crafty chicks challenge – clean and simple (no more than 2 layers)

Rainbow lady’s challenge – use a digi

The poodles parlour challenge – come fly with me (my punched butterflies)

Simply create challenge – things with wings (my punched butterflies)

Stampin’ for the weekend challenge – my favourite things (promarkers, DSB images, gems)

Mark’s finest papers challenge – make it sparkle (gems on butterflies)

Ok, so that’s it from me for now, but I’ll be back in a little while with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  I really do appreciate all the comments you leave for me and I’m sorry that I cannot always return them.  I am trying to manage my time a little better and hopefully this week I can be a little more organised with my visits – fingers crossed.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Winter wonderland - DT card

Hello crafters, well better late than never thanks to Mr Blogger I’m able to post my card for this week’s winter wonderland challenge.  This week the lovely Jane has set the theme and she chosen “Christmas presents” so you can either use an image which has a present on it or make a Christmas themed present.  Here is my card:

WW #8 - christmas presents

I decided to have a go at a joy-fold card as I’ve seen them around blogland a lot recently.  I have to say I found it really easy to make and will definitely be making more.  I think they look really fun.  I have used a super cute image from Di’s digi downloads called ‘holly Christmas’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I was very late making my card (tut tut I know) so kept the embellishments to a minimum.

Our sponsor this week is pink gem designs and the winner will receive 4 digi images of their choice.

Susie’s sassy challenge #9 – DT card

SSC #9 - lilac & aqua

SSC #9 - lilac & aqua (close up)

The new challenge over at Susie’s sassy challenge this fortnight has been chosen by Lisa and it is a colour combo – aqua and lilac.  The DT were all given images by Roberta at Prairie Fairy Designs and I’ve used a gorgeous image called ‘snow fairy’.  I coloured the image with my promarkers and added stickles to her wings.  The papers are all making memories from the ‘meg’ paper pack and the ribbon is also making memories.  The flower is from my stash and the snowflake was cut with my MS arctic snowflake punch.  The jewel brad is PM and the adhesive stones are kaisercraft.  The sentiment is by Anita’s and I used my SU and woodware circle punches to cut it out.  The swirls were cut with my EK success flourish punch.

As you’ve probably guessed our sponsor is Prairie Fairy Designs and our winner can choose 3 digi images from her shop (I’m so jealous!).

The rest of the DT have done an amazing job with the images and Roberta from Prairie Fairy has also made a card for our challenge so if you get chance please check them out.

CCC challenge 70 - 5x5 b'day card

CCC challenge 70 - 5x5 b'day card (close up)

Hello and welcome to a brand new week – not long now until the ‘big’ day – hope you’re all organised (not like me).  It’s time for a brand new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge and this week super talented Tammy has chosen the theme of ‘a 5x5 birthday card’ – how simple is that, and a nice break from making those last minute Christmas cards.  For my card I used my new image from TGF called ‘sassy suzi’ (from dies for die for) and coloured her with my promarkers.  The gorgeous paper is K&Co from the sparkly sweet paper pad (again sorry) and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  I ran the centre panel through the cuttlebug with the perfectly paisley embossing folder.  I cut out the image with my nesties (labels 3) and I used my MS doily lace punch for the decorative edge.  The sentiment is SU from the ‘wow flowers’ stamp set and the adhesive pearls are kaisercraft.  The gorgeous flowers are from tabby crafts

Our sponsor this week is Jeanette Eames, an independent SU demonstrator and the prize is yet to be confirmed but I’m sure it will be awesome.  Please check out the rest of the DT cards, as they are all stunning once again.

I can’t wait to see what you create this week and look forward to visiting your blogs.  Thanks for stopping by today.

PFP challenge 27 - vintage

PFP challenge 27 - vintage (close up)

Hello and welcome to a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers.  Our challenge this week has been chosen by Maria and she would like to see your ‘vintage’ themed creations but you can use any colour promarkers you like *woohoo*.  For my card I used a sugar nellie image called ‘purrfect playmates’ (from funky kits) and I coloured her with the following promarkers:

Dress – Saffron and tan (blender pen to soften colours)

Apron – Pastel yellow and tan (blender pen to soften colours)

Hair – Tan, caramel and cinnamon

Skin – Ivory, blush and pastel pink

Yo-yo - Caramel

Cats – Ice grey 2, 3 and caramel

Outline – Ice grey 1

The papers are a mixture of DCWV, creative keepsakes and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The flowers were punched with my ek success retro flower punches and the leaves were punched with my MS frond branch punch (from dies to die for).  The gorgeous lace is from tabby crafts and the brads are from my stash.  The adhesive pearls are kaisercraft.  I ‘aged’ my papers and the lace with a cats eye chalk ink pad in creamy brown.

Our sponsor this week is Yellow Moon and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Crafty calendar challenge #2

b'day card (5)

b'day card (5) close up

The second challenge for the crafty calendar challenge is ‘weather’ and this is my entry.  The image is rain anya from the ‘rain, snow and shine’ set by TGF and coloured her with my promarkers.  The patterned paper is from my stash (no name) and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval punches.  The adhesive pearls are kaisercraft and the ribbon is from my stash.  (The two lines on the paper aren’t on the card in real life – not sure how they got there!!).  I hope you’re all having a fab weekend.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Kraftin’ kimmie’s challenge

* THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY – PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MY SUSIE’S SASSY CHALLENGE DT CARD *

just for you card

just for you card (close up 1)

just for you card (inside)

I’ve been meaning to enter the kraftin’ kimmie stamps challenge for weeks but I’ve finally got around to it and the theme for challenge 6 is ‘lotsa circles’.  I used my new kraftin’ kimmie stamp called ‘piper‘ (available from dies to die for) which was coloured with promarkers.  Unfortunately I reluctantly had to chop off her feet to fit her in my circle nestie!!  The beautiful papers are DCWV from the nana’s nursery (boy) stack and the ribbon is from my stash.  The sentiment was a freebie from a magazine and again was cut out with my circle nesties and the adhesive pearls are kaisercraft.  As you can see from the last photo I even decorated the inside of my card (which is a rarity for me) but as I had the cute little accessory stamp I thought I make the most of it.  Again coloured with promarkers and a strip of matching paper and adhesive pearls complete the simple look.

I hope you’re all keeping warm in this wild weather we’re having – perfect crafting weather, except for the poor quality photos :)  Thanks for stopping by today.

Stamp with fun #31 – DT card

SWF - create a scene

SWF - create a scene (close up 1)

SWF - create a scene (close up 2)

This is my first card as a design team member for stamp with fun challenge and our theme this week is ‘create a scene’ (which did fill me with dread when I read it lol).  As I don’t own any scene-type stamps I had to make up my own.  I used two different digi images from DigiStamp Boutique – the first one is ‘chloe and snowball’ and the snowmen are called ‘chilli’ and ‘lil shiver’.  I coloured the images with my promarkers and cut them out.  The “snow” was created by tearing white hammered card and layering it up at the bottom of my card.  To give the illusion of ice I added stickles to the edges of the torn card.  The gorgeous tree paper is MME and is called ‘snowed in trees’.  The plain card is making memories.  The sentiment is by hero arts and is from a clear set called ‘merriest wishes’ and the ribbon is SU.  The adhesive pearls are kaisercraft.

There is a gorgeous prize up for grabs this week – a lovely hanglar stamp :)

Please check out the rest of the design team’s creations as they are all gorgeous.  I can’t wait to see what scenes you create and look forward to visiting your blogs.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for promarkers week 23 – DT card

PFP challenge 23 - animals

PFP challenge 23 - animals (close up)

Our challenge this week over at passion for promarkers has been chosen by Helen and she would like to see animals on your creations, although you are free to use any colours you like :)  For my card I used a high hopes image kindly sent to me by Tracy called ‘christmas treat’ (available from dies to die for) and I coloured it with the following promarkers:

trousers and hat – red and berry red

boots – ice grey 1, 3 and 5

skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink

present – meadow green and apple

doggie – tan and caramel

outline was done with cool grey 1

The papers are all doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The snowflake was cut with my MS arctic snowflake punch and the adhesive stones are kaisercraft.  The ribbon is anita’s.  The sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punch to cut the red card behind it.  Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarkers.  I can’t wait to see your creations and visit your blogs.  Please check out the rest of the DT cards as they are all gorgeous again this week.

My card also qualifies for the Friday sketcher’s challenge this week as I used their sketch and the allsorts challenge as their theme is ‘furry friends’.  Thanks for stopping by today.
