Stamp with fun #118–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and the weather was behaving itself for you, it was a glorious weekend here.  I celebrated my 18th wedding anniversary yesterday but I cannot believe where the years have gone, it only seems like yesterday.  We had a lovely day topped off with an Indian takeaway and we watched ‘Paul’ on DVD which hubby had from the boys for Father’s Day.  I have to say it was hilarious but we love all of Simon Pegg’s/Nick Frost’s previous films so we must be easily pleased lol!.

Onto my card!  There is a new challenge over at stamp with fun challenge today and we have a brilliant sketch by Andrea/Emmi41 to use.  As you know I love lots of layers, so this was a great sketch for me!  Here is my card:

I am really sorry for the useless photos but I foolishly used silver mirri card which really glares, so taking a decent photo was a nightmare (well more than usual).  The card looks cream but IRL is bright white and the papers are all grey/silver and white.  I hope you can still appreciate how cute the image is and look past the dodgy pics.  The image is from Di’s digital downloads and the papers are all from my scrap box.

The rest of the design team have created gorgeous cards as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

OSAAT challenge – use a digi

Divas by design challenge – die cuts and/or punches

Stampavie and more challenge – more than 3 layers

Digi doodle challenge – anything goes

Mami doodles challenge – heavy metal (I’ve used silver mirri card)

Stamp something challenge – July digi day

Totally papercrafts challenge – bingo (I’ve used the bottom line – punch/die cuts, embossing and ribbon)

Allsorts challenge – free and easy

Catch the bug challenge – anything goes

So that’s all from me for the moment, but I’ll be back later with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  I hope you will be able to enter our challenge and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Thanks very much for stopping by.

Winter wonderland - DT card

Hello crafters, well better late than never thanks to Mr Blogger I’m able to post my card for this week’s winter wonderland challenge.  This week the lovely Jane has set the theme and she chosen “Christmas presents” so you can either use an image which has a present on it or make a Christmas themed present.  Here is my card:

WW #8 - christmas presents (inside)

I decided to have a go at a joy-fold card as I’ve seen them around blogland a lot recently.  I have to say I found it really easy to make and will definitely be making more.  I think they look really fun.  I have used a super cute image from Di’s digi downloads called ‘holly Christmas’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I was very late making my card (tut tut I know) so kept the embellishments to a minimum.

Our sponsor this week is pink gem designs and the winner will receive 4 digi images of their choice.

Susie’s sassy challenge #12 – DT card

Well it’s finally here – the last ever challenge for Susie’s sassy challenge.  Susie has decided that she needs to cut back on her challenge blogs and unfortunately as this one was the last one she set up it’s had the chop!!  I will be so sad to see it go as I’ve had a whale of a time and the girls on the DT are a fab bunch and a pleasure to work with.  I hope you will be able to join in with us for our final challenge and send us off with a bang :)

Our final challenge for the next two week is ‘me and my pets’, so come on dig out all your animal stamps and digi’s and get to work!

SSC #12 - pets

SSC #12 pets (side view)

SSC #12 - pets (close up)

Our sponsor this week is Di’s digi downloads and the DT were lucky enough to be given some of her images to work with!  For my card I used ‘Maisy and Kaboodle, reaching for presents’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I decided as it was the last challenge for us I would try and make something a little different.  After a quick mooch around SCS I thought I’d have a go at making a ‘spring’ card.  Now this is the first time I’ve made one and I have to say I’m quite pleased with how it turned out, although I’ll try and make it a bit bigger next time.  The papers I used are from Inque Boutique and the paper pad is called ‘cabana’.  The flowers were punched out of the papers with my medium and small ek success retro flower punches and the leaves were cut with my L’em punch.  The adhesive glitter dots were from QVC a long time ago and the sentiment is by whiff of joy.

Please snag my blinkie

The lucky winner of this challenge will win 2 digi images from Di’s digi downloads online store – you’ll be spoiled for choice as she has lots of adorable images to choose from.

My card also fits in with the following challenges:

Incy wincy designs challenge – fancy folds

Pollycraft challenge – anything goes

Sophisticat challenge – raining cats and dogs (cat on my image)

Magical crafts challenge – animal antics

Crafty cardmakers challenge – a challenging challenge

Cupcake craft challenge #74 – DT card

WK 74 SKETCH ( Kathrin) 18th Jan

CCC challenge 74 - sketch

CCC challenge 74 - sketch (close up)

This week over at cupcake craft challenge it was Kathrin’s turn to choose our challenge and she has give us a wonderful sketch to follow.  Our sponsor this week is Di’s Digi Downloads and she kindly gave each of the DT one of her digi images to use.

Now it was a difficult decision to decide which one to have as they are all so cute but I plumped for ‘Maisy sitting with Kaboodle’ and coloured it with my promarkers (adding stickles to the centres of the flowers).  The papers are all making memories from the ‘Meg’ paper pack and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  I used my swiss dots embossing folder in the CB and ran a colorbox cats eye chalk inkpad over the top to highlight the embossing.  I cut out the circle with my nesties and the buttons are doodlebug.  The sentiment is a rub-on by pebbles inc.

Our lucky winner will receive 5 digi images courtesy of Di’s Digi Downloads and as I said there are so many cute images to chose from you’ll be in digi heaven!!

The rest of the DT have done a fantastic job with Kathrin’s sketch and I hope you’ll pop over and take a look.

I’m also entering my card for the following challenges:

Dare you to digi stamp challenge – Buttons

ABC challenge (yes again) – L is for layering

Crafty Catz challenge – Birthday card

Digital Tuesday challenge – Emboss it

One Stop Craft Challenge – Fancy edges or corners (scalloped edge on circle)

I can’t wait to see what you come up with and look forward to visiting your blogs.  Thanks for stopping by.
