Susie’s sassy challenge #12 – DT card

Well it’s finally here – the last ever challenge for Susie’s sassy challenge.  Susie has decided that she needs to cut back on her challenge blogs and unfortunately as this one was the last one she set up it’s had the chop!!  I will be so sad to see it go as I’ve had a whale of a time and the girls on the DT are a fab bunch and a pleasure to work with.  I hope you will be able to join in with us for our final challenge and send us off with a bang :)

Our final challenge for the next two week is ‘me and my pets’, so come on dig out all your animal stamps and digi’s and get to work!

SSC #12 - pets

SSC #12 pets (side view)

SSC #12 - pets (close up)

Our sponsor this week is Di’s digi downloads and the DT were lucky enough to be given some of her images to work with!  For my card I used ‘Maisy and Kaboodle, reaching for presents’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I decided as it was the last challenge for us I would try and make something a little different.  After a quick mooch around SCS I thought I’d have a go at making a ‘spring’ card.  Now this is the first time I’ve made one and I have to say I’m quite pleased with how it turned out, although I’ll try and make it a bit bigger next time.  The papers I used are from Inque Boutique and the paper pad is called ‘cabana’.  The flowers were punched out of the papers with my medium and small ek success retro flower punches and the leaves were cut with my L’em punch.  The adhesive glitter dots were from QVC a long time ago and the sentiment is by whiff of joy.

Please snag my blinkie

The lucky winner of this challenge will win 2 digi images from Di’s digi downloads online store – you’ll be spoiled for choice as she has lots of adorable images to choose from.

My card also fits in with the following challenges:

Stamptacular challenge – sugar & spice and everything nice

Incy wincy designs challenge – fancy folds

Pollycraft challenge – anything goes

Sophisticat challenge – raining cats and dogs (cat on my image)

Magical crafts challenge – animal antics

Crafty cardmakers challenge – a challenging challenge

I love promarkers challenge – animals

Stampavie and more challenge – use some green on your project

I hope you can find the time to enter our challenge and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Have a brilliant Thursday.  Thanks for stopping by.

Friday sketchers #37/Crafty Muse challenge

This is my card for the Friday sketchers challenge which this week was a really simple sketch (my kind of sketch haha) and the crafty muse challenge is 'something sweet'. I stamped the cupcake image (which I bought from Inque Boutique in the USA, the label says See D's but they aren't like the ones we see in the UK, so don't think they are the same company) and the sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I coloured the image with my pro-markers and added diamond glaze to the cherry and sprinkles. The dp is all from the PM sweet nothings paper pad and the black cs is from the papermill shop. The black ribbon is from my stash and the gems are also from the papermill shop. I prinked around the top corners of the image panel for a little bit of added interest. Thanks for looking.

Happy elephant

I made this card for a friend at work. I coloured the image with my pro-markers and added stickles to the flowers. I'm sorry I can't remember who sent me the image (but it was one of my very lovely crafty friends). I used dp from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique and plain cs is bazzill. The flowers are from my stash and the adhesive dots are from QVC. The sentiment is elzybells and I hand doodled a border around all the panels of the card. Thanks for looking.

Rocket card

I was asked to make a card for a 2 year old boy. I remembered I bought a clear stamp set from Inque Boutique and thought it would be ideal for this card. The stamp set is called Toys and contains 8 different stamps including the rocket and flames I used on this card. I coloured the image with my pro-markers. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the dp is by buzzcraft. The sentiment was done on the pc and the adhesive gems are from QVC. The '2' is a stamp by See d's and the 'today' was handwritten. Thanks for looking.

A card for my boss part 2!

This is the second card I made for my boss. I coloured an image kindly sent to me by Tracy at Ella Bella with my pro-markers. I cut the edge of my image panel with a pair of fiskars corner adorner scissors. I used dp from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique. The flowers are from my stash (although I did add the spots on the white flower with my pro-marker pen - idea pinched from Diane at Pink Sunflower hehe). The 'e' brad is also from my stash. Thanks for looking. I'll be back with parts 3 & 4 soon.

Friday sketchers

I had to make a card for a friend's birthday so I used this week's Friday Sketchers No 27 sketch. I used a lovely image kindly sent to me by Diane at Pink Sunflower (although I did cut off her cat - I know terrible but it wouldn't fit in otherwise *wink*). I coloured the image with my pro-markers and highlighted areas with a white gel pen. The dp is from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique. The plain purple cs is from the papermill shop and the flowers are from my stash. The adhesive stones and gem brad are papermania. Ribbon is Anita's. The sentiment is by hero arts and the small decorative stamp (used in the bottom corner) is elusive images. Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday/Lily of the Valley

I made this card for two challenges. The CCT challenge this week was autumn and the Lily of the Valley challenge was 3-2-1 (i.e. 3 papers, 2 ribbons and 1 button or brad). I stamped the cc designs image and rain stamp (which come separately) and coloured the image with my pro-markers. I used dp from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique and bazzill bling cs. The cream ribbon is american crafts and the orange ribbon is from ribbon mad. The button is from my stash and the leaf pin is from ebay. I thought that the colours were quite autumnal and the rain definitely is!! Thanks for looking.

Green fingers

I made this card for a lady at work who's father-in-law was 90 years young. He is an avid gardener so that was my theme. I stamped the images from the veggie patch clear set by woodware and coloured them with my pro-markers. I cut out the smaller images to decorate around my main image panel. The dp is from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique and the sentiment was done on my pc. Quite a simple and easy card to make but the recipient loved it! Thanks for looking.

Friday sketchers

This is my entry for this week's Friday sketchers challenge. I used a cupcake image that came free with a stamping magazine and coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp is from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique (although I forgot to round the corners - hope that is ok oops!). I stamped the sentiment by studio g and used sticky ribbon by papermania. It's difficult to see in the photo but I added stickles to the cupcake. Not my usual type of card as I don't like to leave such large open spaces, nice to try something different though I suppose. Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday/Penny Black Challenge/OCC Challenge

I managed to fit in three challenges with this card - WOOHOO! The CCT challenge this week was "in the water", the Penny Black Challenge was "stars & stripes" and the OCC challenge was simply "make a birthday card". I stamped the super cute PB image and coloured it with my pro-markers. The plain blue cs is from the papermill shop. The striped dp is from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique. I punched stars from the blue cs and stuck them down with a glue pen. I hand cut a slot in my image panel (unfortunately I don't have a slot punch - boo!) and used ribbon from my stash to wrap around my card. The oval sentiment is by craftwork cards. The sketch is taken from Taylors Cupcake challenge #31. Thanks for looking.

Feel better soon

My DH's uncle recently suffered a heart attack and although he was lucky and is recovering he had to undergo surgery to have 3 stents put in. I thought I'd make him a card to let him know we are thinking of him. I used an image sent to me by Diane, which I coloured with my promarkers. The striped dp is from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique. The glitter dp is from the glitter stack by DCWV. The ribbon was part of blog candy I received from Shelley and the adhesive stones are papermania. The sentiment is by elzybells. I used the sketch from last week's papertake challenge, although I was too late to enter it on the blog. Thanks for looking.

Stamp Something & Sketch Saturday Challenges!

I've combined two challenges yet again this week. The sketch saturday sketch was a great sketch to use this week, one I will definitely use again. The stamp something challenge was "thank you somethings". I used three images kindly sent to me by Shelley , which I coloured with my pro-markers. The dp is all from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique (still loving it!). I used my fiskars threading water punch for the scallops and the ribbon was from ribbon mad. The stamped sentiment is by penny black. I am pleased with this card. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking.

Penny Black & Sketch Saturday Challenge

The Penny Black challenge this week was "down on the farm" and the sketch saturday challenge was obviously to follow a sketch. I stamped flower chicky and coloured her in with my pro-markers. All dp is from the cabana paper pack by Inque Boutique (I'm loving this paper). I used plain cs from the papemill shop and the stamped sentiment is by stampendous. I got the flower from some candy a little while ago and the finshing touch was decorative gems that I got from QVC. Thanks for looking.

Friday sketchers & CCT challenge

I don't know where the time goes. So here I am combining yet another two challenges this week. I've used the sketch from the Friday sketchers and the CCT challenge was "things that grow". I thought this adorable penny black image fitted the bill perfectly. I coloured the image with my new pro-markers and added stickles to the flowers. I used the cabana paper pack by inque boutique and plain cs from the papermill shop. The sentiment is a pebbles inc rub-on and the flowers are from my stash. I also used papermania adhesive stones in the centres of the flowers. A real summery feeling to this card. Thanks for looking.

Another wedding card

It is most definitely wedding season as here is another wedding card I was asked to make and I have another one that I have to do today. I used the stamping bella image again (it's so cute) and coloured it with pencils and markers. I highlighted a few areas with stickles. I used the cabana dp from inque boutique and plain green cs from the papermill shop. Buttons were from my stash and I used my pc for the sentiment (segoe script font). The adhesive gems re by papermania. Thanks for looking and enjoy the sunshine!

Stamp Something & Friday Sketchers challenge

Another combined challenge yet again!! The stamp something challenge this week was "candy" and the friday sketchers was 'shock horror' - a sketch!!! I used a stamp set by Inque Boutique called party cupcakes. I coloured the image using pencils and added a little diamond glaze to the cherry on top. The dp is from the sweet nothings paper pack by papermania and the adhesive stones are also by papermania. The flowers are from my stash. Thanks for looking.

Cupcake birthday card

I was asked to make a birthday card for a 13yr old girl and I thought this lovely penny black (?)image was just perfect. I coloured the image with pencils and added a some stickles to the candle flame. I used dp from the cabana paper pad from Inque Boutique which I cut on the diagonal for a bit more interest. I covered the join with some papermania sticky ribbon. I used my pc for the sentiment and used rhinestones and pearls from kaiser crafts and flowers from my stash. A pretty summery card don't you think? Thanks for looking.

My signature doesn't seem to be working tonight *sob* so will just have to sign off the "old fashioned" way.
