Passion for promarkers #19 – DT card

PFP challenge 19 - cool aqua & apricot flowers

PFP challenge 19 - cool aqua & apricot flowers (close up)

Happy Tuesday and welcome to a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers.  This week’s challenge has been set by our new guest designer Sam and the colour combo she would like you to use is cool aqua and apricot but with a twist of making your own flowers (not too difficult for most of us!).  Now I must let you into a small secret when I made my card (originally it had a boy image) Gina kindly pointed out to me that I had forgotten to add flowers (d’oh) so I had to re-do the image and girl it up a bit!!  Now for my second try I used a TGF miss anya image and coloured her with the following promarkers:

Dress, bows in hair and shoes – cool aqua & duck egg

Hair and trim on dress – apricot & honeycomb

Skin – ivory & blush

Socks – ice grey 1

outline – cool grey 1

White gel pen for highlights

The papers and ribbon are all SU and the sentiment is elusive images.  The flowers are all made with EK success retro flower punches and the adhesive pearl is kanban.

Our sponsor this week is craft obsessions and the lucky winner will receive a gorgeous martha stewart cosmos paper punch worth £10.50.  Also I thought you might like to know that they have a special offer on promarkers at the moment at £1.50 each but only for a limited time, so why not pop over and check them out!

I’m sure we’ll see some wonderful creations this week, as we all love our flowers so much, don’t forget to use the challenge colours as well though – cool aqua and apricot.  Please check out the DT cards, as they are stunning, as usual.  I look forward to visiting all your blogs this week.  Thanks for stopping by.

Sketch Saturday #61

b'day card (26)

b'day card (26) close up

This is my card for this week’s sketch saturday challenge, better late than never!  I used a download from Lily Boo’s Boutique from a set called ‘boys and their toys’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  The papers are by DCWV from ‘the stack’ (yes again lol!) and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The ribbon is Anita’s and the buttons are from my stash.  The stamped sentiment is by elusive images and the brother gel sticker is from a pack by creative imaginations (my printer was out of ink at the time so couldn’t print out a sentiment grr….)  I really enjoyed using the sketch this week and will be using it again I’m sure.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for Promarkers week 2 - DT card

Well what a busy week we've had over at Passion for Promarkers! The response to our first challenge was incredible and we had over 130 entries lol! The standard of work was amazing and don't forget we will be announcing the winners of the mega prize on Thursday.

Right onto this week's challenge, which is to use Pastel Pink and Apple promarkers. For my card I used a download from DigiStamp boutique called 'ruby with present' and coloured her with my promarkers adding highlights on her sleeves with a white gel pen.

The promarkers I used were:
Hair - cinammon and cocoa
Top - pastel pink, apple and dusky pink
Trousers, shoes and present - Apple and grass
Skin - blush and pastel pink for rosy cheeks

The dotty and gingham dp is by making memories and the floral dp is a freebie from a craft magazine. The ribbon and flower button are also making memories and the other flowers were punched out the dp with my ek success punches (I know I use them on nearly every card I make but I love 'em haha). The 'so sweet' sentiment is by studio g and the 'happy birthday' sentiment is elusive images. The adhesive stones are papermania. I hope you all have a wonderful day in the sunshine. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT cards, they are simply stunning.

Dutch Dare challenge #33

This week's DDCC is to make a thank you card and as it turned out I needed to make one for my great aunt, so great timing. I used dp by cosmo cricket and cs from the papermill shop. The flower was punched twice with my woodware paper punch and stuck together and I used a small piece of pink cs for the centre. I also added stickles to the centre for some bling. The buttons are from my stash and the sentiment is by elusive images. I also used my fiskars threading water punch on the edge of the pink cs. I used Taylors sketch from a few week's ago as the basis for my card. Thanks for looking.

Part 4!!

This is the card that I gave to my boss for her birthday last week. I stamped the gorgeous PB image and coloured it with my pro-markers. The glitter dp is from the glitter stack by DCWV and the plain cs is the papermill shop. The sentiment is craftwork cards and the adhesive stones are papermania. The flowers are punched out from coloured paper and the decorative image is a stamp by elusive images (which I think is gorgeous and will be using lots). I hope you like, thanks for looking.

By the way I wanted to say a BIG thank you to everyone who's answered my plea for 12 drummers drumming images - you are all too kind. My son will be thrilled to get his card now!!

Friday sketchers

I had to make a card for a friend's birthday so I used this week's Friday Sketchers No 27 sketch. I used a lovely image kindly sent to me by Diane at Pink Sunflower (although I did cut off her cat - I know terrible but it wouldn't fit in otherwise *wink*). I coloured the image with my pro-markers and highlighted areas with a white gel pen. The dp is from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique. The plain purple cs is from the papermill shop and the flowers are from my stash. The adhesive stones and gem brad are papermania. Ribbon is Anita's. The sentiment is by hero arts and the small decorative stamp (used in the bottom corner) is elusive images. Thanks for looking.

Birthday girl

I was asked to make a birthday card for a little girl who is 2. I stamped the super cute high hopes image and coloured her with my pro-markers. I used dp by s.e.i. and the flower is from my stash. I used alphabet stickers for the name and the '2' by creative imaginations and I stamped the sentiment by elusive images. My printer has run out of ink and I'm waiting for my order to arrive. I make so many cards for orders that ask for personalisation that I rely on my printer for all my sentiments. Hurry up ink!! Thanks for looking.

CCT - "In the House"/Michelle's blogaversary part 2

I can't believe I've made a card for a challenge with days to spare, I'm usually posting my card a couple of hours before the deadline!! Here is my entry for this week's CCT challenge "in the house" and it also fits the bill for Michelle at http://cardgrotto.blogspot.com blogaversary part 2 (which was to make a monotone card). I stamped the stamping bella image and coloured her in with my pro-markers, adding stickles to highlight the bubbles. The dp is by buzzcraft and I used my spots and dots cuttlebug folder for the white panel. The stamped sentiment is by elusive images. Thanks for looking.

CCT Challenge - nothing like last minute!

I'm typing this at 8.16am Thursday morning so I hope it will still count for this week's CCT challenge which was No Patterned Paper. I repeatedly stamped the Anita's stamp with blue stazon onto white card and filled in the spaces with a 3 dot stamp by elusive images using a white versacolor cube. I used a small piece of brown bazill cs at the top. The image and present sentiment is by CC designs and the happy birthday stamp is by elusive images. I watercoloured the image with my trusty marvy markers and highlighted the bows on the presents with my sakura clear stardust pen. Apologies for the poor photo but I took it in a rush this morning to get it on the blog. Thanks for looking.
