The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown IG Hop - Oct 26

Hello friends and welcome to the 1st Annual 'It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown' Instagram Hop hosted by my lovely friend Kelly. 2026 marks the 60th anniversary of this beloved classic’s first airing on tv and it’s still warming our hearts today. We’re celebrating with fun, pumpkin-inspired projects, so hop along with us for lots of creative inspiration; plus there’s a special treat waiting for you!  Just as Linus waited all night in the “most sincere” pumpkin patch for The Great Pumpkin to deliver toys to those who believed, we have a gift for one (1) lucky winner! Hidden somewhere along the hop is a giveaway prize because Halloween wouldn’t be complete without a few treats. Head to the beginning at Kelly's stop for giveaway details! Happy hopping, and may the Great Pumpkin bring a little magic your way!
I wanted to use something Charlie Brown/Snoopy related but didn't really have anything with a pumpkin.  I found a very old Stampabilities Snoopy Joe Cool stamp that's been in my stash for years and decided to get resourceful.  I used a favourite Penny Black stamp featuring hedgie and a pumpkin balloon and did some creative masking to merge the Joe Cool image and the pumpkin balloon together.  I think it turned out super cool and I hope you like it too.
Here is my card with the stamps I used:
A better look at the card:
A closer look at the image:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and stencilled the pumpkin background using my Gina K inks.  I stamped the images, masking as I said, coloured it with Promarkers and fussy cut it out.  I decided I wanted a bit more orange so used an orange gingham paper as my mat layer so cut down my stencilled panel by 1/4" and adhered them together with liquid glue.  I added the image onto the background using very thin foam squares.  I used 3 different stamp sets to create my sentiment which I stamped directly onto the background using black ink.  I added a few black pearls and the panel was adhered to my card base with double sided tape.  For the inside I cut another white panel and orange gingham mat layer.  I stencilled the pumpkins at the bottom of the white panel and stamped my sentiment in the centre with black ink.  The layers were adhered together with liquid glue before adding to my card base with double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Please pop on over to IG to see the amazing pumpkin creations in the hop. Don't forget there is 1 prize up for grabs so check out Kelly's stop for all the details on how to win.

Krafty Chicks challenge #843 - Masculine

Good morning lovely friends and welcome to my little corner of blogland. It's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge and this week we are on Week 4; and as always the theme is 'Masculine' and Lori is our hostess. Now we know that masculine cards are our least favourite to make but we do need them from time to time.  There are so many fun images for the men in our lives which makes creating for them so much easier. We hope you will take on the challenge and come over and join in the fun with us.
Quite some time ago I picked up this fun stamp in a friend's crafty destash and it's been sitting unloved and waiting to be used so today was its turn in the spotlight.  It's quite a busy card, with lots going on, but I think it turned out super cute.  I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and used a small checkerboard stencil and some black ink to create my background.  I stamped and coloured the images and added some white gelly roll highlights.  I don't have the dies so I fussy cut them all out.  I die cut a white frame and also one from green card and placed the green inner inside the white frame to replicate grass.  I felt the frame looked a little lost on the background so cut a black stitched rectangle to make it stand out a little more.  Before adhering the layers together I roughly handcut a 'road' and used my white posca pen to mark the white lines.  I added the road onto the grass, and the frame and grass onto the black mat using liquid glue.  I stamped and white heat embossed my sentiment onto black card and used a fishtail banner die to cut it out.  The image and the sentiment were added with foam squares and the tyre and flag with liquid glue.  No embellishments this time as there was so much going on already!  The panel was adhered to the card base using double sided tape.  For the inside I cut another white panel and stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  I stencilled a small border and added that to the bottom of the panel using liquid glue.  I stamped, coloured and fussy cut one more image and cut him a little grass mound to stand on to cheer his friend across the finish line, adding both with liqud glue.  The panel was then adhered to the card base using double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafty Animals challenge - ATG must include an animal
I Love Promarkers challenge - your favourite colours or ATG

I hope you will be able to join us for our 'Masculine' challenge and I cannot wait to see your creations in our linky. Please leave some love for my fellow chicks - Leanne, Diane and Lori. Thank you so much for stopping by; I appreciate your lovely comments.

Penny Black Saturday challenge - midway reminder card

Hello friends; it's another busy day on my blog today as I have two cards to share with you. The first is my second card as guest designer for the Penny Black Saturday challenge. They have a midway reminder post and I was delighted to join in again.  The challenge is 'ATG' but has an optional twist of 'bright colours'.
...or Hedgie
For today's card I once again did not use a hedgie stamp but instead chose a very old girl stamp called 'sweet thing'.  I can't actually recall using this stamp but if I did it was a VERY long time ago.  I went with some pretty, girly papers and I think it turned out adorable.  I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by stamping the image onto a scrap of alcohol marker friendly card and coloured it with my Promarkers.  I added some white highlights and fussy cut it out.  I cut a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and used left over pieces of patterned paper to create a fun layout.  I added the paper onto the white panel with liquid glue.  I die cut a stitched square from white card and added the image onto this with foam squares.  At this point I decided to cut out my background panel with a stitched rectangle so that it would match the image panel.  I added some scrap white card behind the square image panel and adhered it to my background with liquid glue.  I stamped the sentiment in black onto white card and used a stitched label die to cut it out.  I added this at the top of the panel with foam squares.  I die cut one flower from white card and added it in the top right of the square panel with liquid glue.  I finished off with some yellow pearls.  The panel was adhered to my card base using double sided tape.   For the inside I die cut another white panel with the stitched rectangle.  I used some of the left pieces of patterned paper and also cut them out using the stitched rectangle so that they would match the stitching.  I adhered the papers to the bottom of the panel with liquid glue and stamped my sentiment in the centre with black ink.  I also added one more flower over the patterned paper with liquid glue.  I adhered the panel to my card base using double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

613 Avenue Create challenge - ATG optional twist think pink
Creative Friday challenge - faux stitching

Penny Black Saturday challenge - guest designer card

Hello friends; it's another busy day on my blog today as I have two cards to share with you.  The first card is as guest designer for the Penny Black Saturday challenge.  I was lucky enough to win one of their recent challenges and was honoured to be asked to be a guest designer for them. The challenge is 'ATG' but has an optional twist of 'bright colours'.
...or Hedgie
I was going to use one of my favourite Penny Black hedgie stamps but then I remembered I had this cute 'balloon ride' stamp and I thought it would be perfect for the theme with the balloons in lots of bright colours.  I also decided to stencil some rainbow clouds for extra fun and I think it turned out super cute.  I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the sweet image:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by stamping the image onto alcohol marker friendly card, coloured it with my Promarkers and added some white gelly roll pen highlights.  I don't have the die so I fussy cut him out.  I cut a white panel to 4" x 5 1/4" and using a cloud stencil and a rainbow of ink pads created my bright and happy background.  I decided to die cut a cityscape for my bear to float above and originally went with black (as I usually would) but it was too stark for this card so I re-cut it from beige card, which I think looks much better.  I cut two of the cityscapes and adhered them together with liquid glue for stability.  I stamped the sentiment onto white card using black ink and used a sentiment strip die to cut it out.  Now it was time to assemble the pieces; I added the cityscape to the very bottom of the panel using liquid glue and the floating bear with foam squares in the centre.  I felt the sentiment was too long as it was so cut it apart and added it to the left of the bear using foam squares.  The panel was then adhered to my card base using double sided tape.  For the inside I cut another white panel and added some rainbow clouds at the bottom.  I stamped, coloured and fussy cut another image and, although it pained me to do so, I cut it in half so that I could add it to the bottom of the panel (so that he looks like he is floating out of the bottom of the card!).  I stamped the sentiment in black ink alongside the image.  The panel was adhered to the card base using double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafty Animal challenge - ATG must include an animal

Krafty Chicks challenge #839 - Masculine

Good morning lovely friends and welcome to my little corner of blogland. It's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge and this week we are on Week 4; and as always the theme is 'Masculine' and Lori is our hostess. Now we know that masculine cards are our least favourite to make but we do need them from time to time, so come on and get ahead with any masculine makes you need to create.   We hope you will take on the challenge and come over and join in the fun with us.
I recently got a new-to-me stamp & die set that I knew would be perfect for this challenge as it has lots of fun images for teens and males (and some for girls too).  I kept it fairly clean and simple but with lots of colour and I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and stencilled the splat design in the centre using a red, yellow and blue ink pad.  I like using these three colours as when they overlap they pretty much complete the whole rainbow.  I stamped the images onto alcohol marker friendly card, coloured them with Promarkers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I decided to cut down the panel using the stitched rectangle from master layouts 2 and also used the plain rectangle to cut a black mat layer.  I adhered the layers together with liquid glue and added the images with foam squares.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the background using black ink and instead of embellishments I stamped a few emojis for a fun touch.  The panel was adhered to my card base using double sided tape.  For the inside I used the same dies to cut a white panel and black mat layer.  Before I adhered them together I used the splat stencil and added some colour to the bottom right corner.  I then adhered the layers with liquid glue.  I stamped, coloured and die cut one more image and added that over the splat using liquid glue.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre using black ink and also added two more emojis.  The panel was added to my card base using double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

AAA Cards challenge - M is for .....masculine
Addicted to Stamps & More challenge - make your mark (markers and stencilling)
Colorful Options challenge - rusty brown, earth tones or rainbow (option 3 and 4)
Dream Valley challenge - add a sentiment
Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge - make your own background (stencilled)
Stencil Fun challenge - ATG must use a stencil optional theme: yellow

I hope you will be able to join us for our 'Masculine' challenge and I cannot wait to see your creations in our linky. Please leave some love for my fellow chicks - Leanne, Diane and Lori. Thank you so much for stopping by; I appreciate your lovely comments.

Just Us Girls challenge #841 - Mood Board Week

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. I am back to share my card for this week's Just Us Girls challenge and it's Mood Board Week and Vicki has a beautiful board to inspire us this week. There are so many gorgeous details on the mood board to choose from this week and I'm sure this is going to be a really popular week. I cannot wait to see all your gorgeous creations.
A closer look at the mood board:
Isn't it a beautiful mood board?  The neutral colours are gorgeous with lots of images to be inspired by; will it be the coffee cup, the houses, the cute dog or maybe the pumpkins.  I can't wait to see what you choose.  I decided to use neutral colours and a coffee theme for my card and I'm really happy with how it turned out.  I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I took a quick 9 sec video so you could see the legs 'dancing':
I began by cutting a cream card panel 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and a mat layer from brown card and adhered them together with liquid glue.  I stamped three coffee rings using dark brown ink and some coffee beans using a lighter brown ink.  I decided to use this fun interactive 'dancing' die from Spellbinders and cut all the various pieces from coloured card from my scraps bin.  I cut the legs and hands from white card and coloured them with my Promarkers.  I adhered everything together and added it to my card panel using a mix of liquid glue and foam squares.  I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of the cream card using the lighter brown ink and fussy cut it out before adding it across the focal image using foam squares and liquid glue.  I finished off with some self adhesive pearls (although I never trust the self adhesive pads so I peeled them off and added liquid glue!).  The panel was adhered to my card base using double sided tape.  For the inside I cut another cream panel and brown layer and adhered them together with liquid glue.  I stamped one coffee ring in the bottom right corner and added a die cut coffee cup and a few leaves.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre using brown ink and adhered the panel to my card base using double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Classic Design challenge - autumn colours
Colorful Options challenge - rusty brown - option 2 and 4
First Cup challenge - ATG with a hot or cold drink
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie challenge - sweater weather (inspired by the colours and coffee)
Papercraft Challenges - cozy autumn

I'm sure this will be a popular challenge as it is such a beautiful board and I cannot wait to see what you create. Please pop over to the challenge blog and leave some love for our guest designer Julia Aston and the rest of the design team.

I appreciate you stopping by.
