Marcea’s ‘music saves my soul’

Happy Sunday friends, I hope you are all enjoying the weekend so far.  The weather here is bitterly cold but it’s lovely and sunny, so it’s not all bad.  After a break of a few weeks I’m finally able to join in with Marcea’s ‘music saves my soul’ once again.  I love being part of her song share and it’s wonderful to discover a brand new song.  This week I have decided to go for a new(ish) song and although I’m not a big fan of dance-type music every now and again I discover a song I love.  I’m sure Marcea will love my choice this week as she is the queen of dance tracks!!  My choice for this week is Rihanna’s ‘only girl (in the world)’.

Marcea’s Music Saves my Soul

Hello everyone, I’m really sorry for the long absence since my last post!  I’m back to share with you another favourite track for Marcea’s ‘Music Saves My Soul’.  This week I have gone for another oldie and have chosen a song by the mega band Heart (and to be honest I could have chosen so many as I really love their music).  However the song I have gone for this week is “what about love” and I have to say her voice is stunning and I really love their “big hair” lol!  I hope you will have time to share one of your favourite songs.

I also wanted to remind you that the Passion for Promarkers challenge is running until 4th January and the theme is “anything goes”.  We’ve had a massive response already, but you can enter as many times as you like until the challenge ends.  We will be posting new samples from team 2 on Tuesday so pop back and take a look – there will also be a card from me!

Also the theme over at charisma cardz challenge is ‘new year’ and ends on Thursday so still plenty of time to enter that challenge too.  I had a DT holiday last week (which means a week off) but I will be back again this week with a new card on Thursday.  

I’ll be back tomorrow with my DT cards for the cupcake craft challenge and also the stamp with fun challenge so hopefully you will come by and take a peek. 

I am so behind with everything at the moment.  I have eventually trimmed up (thanks to my eldest son for all his help with that) but I still haven’t written my cards or bought all my pressies and with the amount of snow we’ve had since Friday that is going to be prove more difficult now.  Oh well some people will have to make do with money this year I think!!  Here are two pictures taken on Friday after the first lot of snow we had:

Music Saves My Soul #8

Hi everyone, just a quick post from me today.  It’s Saturday so that means it’s time for Marcea’s “music saves my soul”.  This week I have chosen an old song (yet again) by Aqua called “turn back time”.  Now I know some of you may be surprised that I’m choosing something by Aqua but this song is really beautiful and so different from their “Barbie girl”……… take a listen and I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised. 

I can’t wait to hear what you all share this week.  Sorry it’s a fleeting visit today but I’m busy with Christmas cards (groan!!).

Good morning everyone, I can’t believe my week off work has gone already – I haven’t achieved half of what I wanted to do lol!  I’m back again this morning to share my tune for Marcea’s “music saves my soul” which unbelievably is already on week 7.

The song I have chosen this week is Roxette’s “fading like a flower”.  I have to say I was a big Roxette fan back in the day and still love most of their songs now :)  I hope you enjoy my choice this week and I look forward to seeing what songs you all pick.

Good morning – it’s Saturday *yay* and I have next week off from work so I am super happy :)  I’m joining in with Marcea’s “music saves my soul” again this week and I love hearing what everyone shares too. 

I have chosen a brilliant song by Evanescence called “going under” this week as I think Amy Lee has the most beautiful voice so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Good morning everyone, it’s Saturday and its sunny *double yay*.  I hope you are all enjoying the start of the weekend so far. 

I have been debating all week what song to share with you this week for Marcea’s “music saves my soul” (which shockingly is already on week 5!!) but I was in the car last night and the song I have chosen came on the radio and I remembered how much I love it so my decision was made for me lol!  It’s another blast from the past (my favourite era the 80’s) and it’s the communards – ‘don’t leave me this way’. 

Turn up the volume now and get dancing around your living room/kitchen/bedroom (wherever you happen to be lol!).

Happy Saturday everyone, I’m a little late with my post for Marcea’s “music saves my soul” this week!  I’m really enjoying looking through all my favourite songs and deciding which one to share each week, I hope you enjoy listening to them too :) 

This week I’m sharing Beyonce - ‘sweet dreams’ with you.  I have to say I’m not the biggest Beyonce fan ever but I really love this song!

Marcea’s “music saves my soul” week 3

Well the weeks are flying by!  We’re already on week 3 over at Marcea’s “music saves my soul” where she wants you to share some of your favourite songs with her.  She has decided to change the rules slightly from this week and will now be choosing a monthly winner to receive a candy (so the more times you enter through the month the more chances you have to win). 

This week I’m sharing with you a classic 80’s tune – ‘Billy Idol – white wedding’.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)

Bill Idol was (and still is) such a cool dude and I loved how outrageous he was back then.

Good morning – it’s Saturday *yay* no work for two whole days haha!  I hope everyone is having a great day so far – I haven’t done very much yet but need to get cracking on my DT cards soon :)

Marcea’s “music saves your soul’ week 1

I’m back again!  The lovely Marcea has started her ‘music saves your soul’ and wants us to share one of our favourite songs each Saturday with her.  She has chosen a brilliant first song – Lady Gaga’s bad romance.  Now I love all types of music and being an 80’s girl I really love all the cheesy songs from then.  However my first song to join Marcea’s ‘music saves your soul’ this week is Alphabeat’s ‘fascination’ as I think it’s really upbeat and you can’t stop yourself having a little jig!!
