Colour create challenge #35/Pile it on challenge #29/ABC challenge

Hello and welcome to a snowy and icy South Wales.  Our street is completely “off limits” yet again as no gritters have been through.  I’m back to getting the bus to work again today, although I did take an annual leave day yesterday and stayed tucked up nice and warm at home!  The kids went back to school for half a day on Tuesday but have been off since (unfortunately they are praying for more snow lol)! 

My card today is for the colour create challenge which is ‘lemon and lime’, pile it on challenge #29 which is ‘anything digital’ and the ABC challenge which is ‘L for layering’.  I used a cute digi image by soft pencil called ‘I’ll keep you safe Michu’ and I coloured it with my promarkers.  The gingham paper is from my stash, the dotty paper is a magazine freebie and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive pearls are kanban.  The ribbon and flower charm are from my stash.  I created the decorative edge with my MS simple scallop punch. 

I know many of you have had an excessive amount of snow, it all looks so pretty until you have to go out and about in it!  Unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to clear as quickly as it came.  I hope you are all keeping safe and warm wherever you are.  Thanks for stopping by.

The sugar bowl challenge #24

My card today is for the the sugar bowl challenge, which this week has a gorgeous sketch by Marlene to follow (& the must include option is zig-zag). I’ve used a sugar nellie image from the home grown autumn kit (which I’m only now getting around to inking up!!) and I coloured the image with my promarkers. I used kraft card from elzybells and the full sheet of paper is SU. The smaller patterned pieces are from my scrap box and the plain indigo paper is pink petticoat, which I ran through the CB with the swiss dots embossing folder. I used my MS zig-zag embossed border punch for the strip across the middle of the card and the adhesive stones are PM. I haven’t added a sentiment yet as I don’t know it will be for. I really liked the layout and didn’t add any extra embellishments as I didn’t want to spoil it. Thanks for stopping by today.

Edited to add - thank you to Marianne for pointing out that I couldn't combine my sugar bowl card with other challenges if I wanted to be included in the draw for the prizes - thanks hun - maybe I should pay more attention to the rules in future lol :)

ABC challenge/secret crafter challenge #54

The ABC challenge this week is ‘F for flying’ and the secret crafter challenge is ‘dig deep’ which means they want use to you an older stamp/image.  I used an older digi image from DigiStamp Boutique from the love birds collection and is called ‘family sing song’ and I coloured it with my promarkers.  The dotty paper is making memories and the blue paper is doodlebug.  The flower heads are from joanna sheen and the white flowers are imaginisce.  The ribbon is also making memories and the adhesive stones are PM.  The sentiments were created on the pc and the layout was an old sketch by dawny p.  I hope you are having a great Saturday.  I’m feeling a little better today, just this damn cough driving me nuts!!  Thanks for stopping by today. 

4 in 1 challenge card!

Wow I haven’t done this for a while – my card fits in with 4 challenges woohoo!  The pollycraft challenge is asking for ‘furry friends (animals)’, the pile it on challenge is ‘birthday’, the ABC challenge is ‘d for die-cuts’ and the allsorts challenge is ‘something for the boys’.  I used my new WOJ image called ‘bruno bear with cupcake’ and coloured him with my promarkers.  The papers are all DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The punched edge was done with my martha stewart embossed zigzag punch.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with SU oval punches.  The adhesive stones are PM. 

The weather here has been glorious today and it’s supposed to be nice for 10 days (believe that when it happens) – I hope it’s been nice with you too.  My boys are now back into the swing of being in school and hating every minute of it haha!  My eldest son is now beginning his final year before his GCSE’s and I hope he will knuckle down to hard work, although he did really well this year and got a C in maths and a B in science – not too bad for a year early.

Anyone for Anya? #1/ABC challenge

This is my card for the new challenge Anyone for Anya? which for their first challenge is asking for ‘sugar & spice & all things nice’.  I am also entering my card for the ABC challenge, which is ‘c for circles’.  I stamped the greeting farm image ‘dahlia‘ and coloured her with my promarkers.  The papers are all MME from the bloom & grow paper pad (lush) and the sentiment was created on the pc.  The flowers were punched with my ek success large and medium retro flower punches and the leaves were punched with my L’em punch.  The adhesive pearls are basic grey.  The sketch is the mojo #101 so I will also be entering their challenge.  Wow 3 in 1 – haven’t done that for a while!!  I hope you all have a fantastic bank holiday weekend and the weather behaves itself.  Thanks for stopping by today. 

Stamp with Fun #16/ABC challenge

This week’s stamp with fun challenge is ‘pearls’ and the ABC challenge is up to ‘y for yellow’.  I made this card for my auntie to give to her son for his birthday and the colours were the rugby team he used to play for.  I stamped the paper nation rugby man and coloured him with promarkers.  The gingham paper is from my stash and the black and white paper is by DCWV.  The plain cs is from the papermill shop.  I created the sentiment on the pc and punched the stars with my dovecraft punch.  The circles were cut with my woodware punch and the adhesive pearls are kanban.  The weather is awful here today, torrential rain and very windy – hope it’s a bit better where you are.  Thanks for stopping by today.

ABC challenge

The challenge over at ABC this week is ‘T for two-tone’ which means you must only use 2 colours on your project (not including hair/skin).  Well I recently made a sympathy card for a lady at work and this fit the bill perfectly.  I stamped the elzybells image and lightly coloured it with my aqua promarker.  The plain black cs is from the papermill shop and the plain blue cs is bazzill bling.  The small strips of dp are DCWV from the luxury stack and the velvet ribbon is from my stash.  The adhesive pearls are kanban and the sentiment is by stamps away.  Thanks for stopping by today.

 

ABC challenge

The challenge over at ABC this week is 'S for Summer' and I thought this image would be ideal. The greeting farm image was a RAK from Gina and I coloured him with my promarkers. The dp is BG and the plain cs is bazzill bling. The sentiment was created on the pc and the ric-rac ribbon is from my stash. The 'cool' sentiment is a stamp that I bought in bargain bin ages ago and it doesn't have a maker's name on it. Not too fussy but perfect for a young boy I think. Thanks for stopping by.

OSCC #24 & ABC challenge 'J'

This card was ordered by my auntie for her friend. I used a FF image and coloured it with pro-markers, adding highlights with a white gel pen. The gorgeous dp is BG and from the boxer and cupcake paper pads. The flowers are imaginisce bitty blossoms and the brad is from my stash. The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive stones are PM. I am entering this card for the OSCC this week which is 'torn' and the ABC challenge which is 'J for jagged edge'. ABC challenge - H is for Hearts

This is my entry for this week's ABC challenge "H is for Hearts". I stamped the SU image (that I bought from ebay ages ago and not sure what it's called) and coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp was the last piece and I forgot to check who it was by before I stuck it down (d'oh!). The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the ric-rac ribbon is from my stash. ABC challenge - F is for flowers

I know I promised you (or threatened you) with more Mother's Day cards but I thought I'd give you a breather and show you a sympathy card I made recently. I am entering this card for this week's ABC challenge which is 'F is for flowers'. The image is elyzbells and I lightly coloured it with pro-markers. The dp is from a paper pack (lace) from Joanna Sheen. The sentiment is a clear stamp by stamps away and the adhesive stones are PM. The ric rac ribbon is from my stash. ABC challenge 'C'

The ABC challenge this week is 'C - make a child's card'. Well I've been trying to enter this challenge for ages but they've already been around the alphabet once and this is the first time I've managed it. I had to make a birthday card for a friend to give her grandson and thought this would be the ideal choice to enter for the challenge. I used a stamp (from crafty muse) that I recently won, as part of their card challenge and coloured the image with my pro-markers. The gorgeous dp is BG from the archaic paper pad and the plain cs is bazzill bling. The clear button (SU) has had dp placed behind it and it was threaded with cotton which I tied in a bow. The squares were punched out of the dp with an x-cut paper punch and the sentiment was created on my pc. The ribbon is from my stash. Thanks for looking.
