Pile It On #9/Papertake challenge

b'day card (27)

b'day card (27) close up

I hope you’re all enjoying the glorious weather we having at the moment.  My card is lovely and summery today, just perfect for papertake challenge this week which is ‘four seasons’.  I’m also entering my card for the pile it on challenge which is ‘at least 3 flowers’.  I stamped my new elzybells image called ‘sunflower fun’ and coloured her with promarkers.  The large sunflower is also an elzybells image and was stamped three times and coloured with promarkers.  The gingham paper is craft creations and the flowery paper is by imagination project.  The plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment is stampendous and I used my SU oval punches to cut it out.   Enjoy the weekend, thanks for stopping by today.

Colour create #6

This is my entry for this week's colour create challenge, which is orange, yellow and green with an optional extra of your entry not being a card. I decided to decorate a plain gift bag that I got from crafts u love. I used dp by imagination project and doodlebug. The image is stamping bella (daisybella) which I coloured with my pro-markers. I punched two small holes at the top of the bag and threaded through orange ribbon from my stash. I used fiskars decorative scissors to cut the scalloped edge. I'm sorry the photo doesn't really show off the bag to its best but I couldn't find anything to put inside it at the time :( Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Sketch saturday #41

I was asked by my mother to make a birthday card for her friend so decided to use the lovely sketch on sketch saturday this week. I stamped the stamping bella 'daisybella' image and coloured her with my pro-markers, adding highlights with a sakura stardust pen. The green dp is by doodlebug and the flowery dp is by imagination project. The orange cs is from the papermill shop and the sentiment was created on the pc. The buttons and flowers are from my stash and the bow is from ideal world (so long ago). The adhesive stones are PM. I love this colour combo, I was inspired by the colours on the colour create challenge this week, so springy and fresh. Thanks for stopping by.

A simple card

This is another card that I made for my friend who is 40 tomorrow. This was made for my team at work to give to her. I coloured the lovely image, kindly sent to me a little while ago (and I've forgotten who by *hangs head in shame*) and I coloured it with my pro-markers. The gorgeous dp is by imagination project and I added some PM adhesive gems to highlight the paper. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the sentiment was done on my pc.

I hope you are all enjoying the snow and taking care when out and about. We've had a light covering today but they are forcasting more tonight (I hope it's the 6inches predicted and then I won't have to go to work. I'm really nervous about driving in the snow and ice). If you have to go out tomorrow be extra careful. Thanks for looking.

The flowers are from my stash and the gems are from the papermill shop. The sticky ribbon is Anita's. The decorative edge on the orange dp was done with the fiskars threading water paper punch. Thanks for looking.

CCT #42/Friday Sketchers #34

This is my card for this week's Cute Card Thursday, which is to use something you got for Christmas and also the sketch for Friday Sketchers. Well I treated myself, with my Christmas money to some of the gorgeous Leanne Ellis designs for Sugar Nellie Stamps and this one is called Blossom. I coloured her with my pro-markers and added highlights with a white gel pen. The very yummy dp is by imagination project and the green dp is from double sided paper by s.e.i. The orange ric-rac and flowers are from my stash. The heart pin is from ebay and the ribbon bow is from ideal world (a very long time ago) and the adhesive dots are from a kit from QVC. The sentiment was done on my pc. I'm sorry the photo is so dark but it was very murky here this morning. Thanks for looking.

I was asked to make this card for a man who loves horses. I stamped the image by all night media and coloured it with my pro-markers. I used bazzill bling cs and dp by imagination project. Oops!

I made this card for my mother to give to my grandfather for his 95th birthday, which was on Thursday. I managed to cover 3 challenges for last week i.e. the Sketch Saturday sketch from last Saturday, the Cute Card Thursday challenge which was "cats & dogs" and the Penny Black Challenge which was "a man's card but no blue". However I didn't upload it in time for any of the challenge deadlines *d'oh*. I've had a crazy week, besides my mother recovering after her op, my oldest son has been ill with 'flu, my youngest son has had a few problems at his new school and now I'm also coming down with a cold. Anyhoo enough about me here at the deets of the card. I used bazzill bling cs in brown and natural and dp is by imagination project. I stamped the penny black image and coloured him with my pro-markers but I didn't like the original colour that I used for the tie so I stamped him again and cut out the tie and stuck it over the top. I don't normally use peel-offs but I thought these were quite stylish and they fit the bill for the sketch. Quite a simple card but as my grandfather's eyesight is so poor my mother said that it was probably better. Thanks for looking.

Wedding season is definitely here!

I made another wedding card using another image sent to me by Diane, which I of course coloured with my pro-markers. On the lower half of my card I used a piece of beautiful cs by DCWV and ran it through my cuttlebug with the heart blocks embossing folder and on the top half I added a piece of dp by imagination project. To define each half I added a piece of ribbon by american crafts that I got from QVC. The sentiment is from the celebration messages set by See'D. I used a paper punch to cut out the heart. This card uses a sketch by Taylor, although I did alter it slightly but paper pricking underneath my image instead of wrapping ribbon around. Hope you like. Thanks for looking.

70th Birthday cards

I was asked to make two 70th birthday cards for a lady who lives in Australia. For the first card I used a penny black stamped image that was sent to me a long time ago and I'm sorry I've forgotten who sent it to me :( I coloured it in when I received it and to be honest it's not my best work ever! The dp is by imagination project and the brown cs is bazzill bling. The flower is by prima and the gem is papermania. I used my pc for the sentiment (papyrus font). For the second card I used a vintage postcard from Joanna Sheen and teamed it with a free fairy image I got with a magazine. The dp is called baby yellow gingham but not sure who makes it. Plain yellow cs is bazzill. I used gems from QVC and my pc for the sentiment (segoe script font). Flowers and buttons from my stash. Hope you like. Thanks for looking.

Happy Birthday Dad!

These are three cards that I made for my dad's birthday. The footballer card is from me and my husband, the robot card is from my children and the wolf is from my mum to my dad. The cards are all very simple but I think they turned out ok. The footballer stamp is by creative expressions, the robot stamp is by papermania and the wolf stamp is by rubber stampede. The dp on the footballer stamp is by craft creations, the dp on the robot card is from the matching paper pack and the dp on the wolf card is by imagination project. The cardstock is bazzill bling and I used my pc for the sentiments. Sorry for the long post, thanks for looking.
