Charisma cardz #10–DT project

Happy Friday everyone.  I hope you’ve all had a great week and are now looking forward to the weekend.  Here in Wales everyone is hyper about the Six Nations Rugby match tomorrow against France when we are in with a chance of winning the Grand Slam (*whispers* I’m not a big rugby fan but will be keeping one eye on the TV just to see what happens).  I’m sure Cardiff will be buzzing with all the fans from both nations supporting their teams.

I’m here this evening with a catch up post for this week’s charisma cardz challenge.  This week it’s my turn to set the theme and I have chosen “alter it”, so I would like to see something altered to look different from it’s original state – whatever you do is up to you.  I have very little time to create my project so I decided to alter a plain white gift bag (I know I’ve done this before but they are really very useful lol!).  Here is my altered project:

and here is a photo of the bag before I altered it:

I used another new image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Easter Rosie’, which is currently one of the offers of the month and available at the special prize of just £1.00.   I also used the little egg images which come in the ‘Easter collection 2’ which again is available at a special prize at the moment.  Why not pop over to the DSB shop and grab them while you can!  I coloured the images with promarkers and the pretty papers are from the first edition ‘hideaway’ paper pad, it’s hard to tell but they are lovely and glittery.  I did add a sentiment and a few more mini eggs on the back of my bag but forgot to take a picture d’oh!

Our sponsor this week is All That Scraps and one lucky winner will receive this amazing prize:

The design team have done an amazing job once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

Digital Tuesday challenge – think spring

Crafts and me challenge – let’s see circles (lots on my paper)

Divas by design challenge – citrus colours

I love promarkers challenge – anything goes

Simon says stamp challenge – a bit o’ green

Crafty Ann’s challenge – spring into spring

Really reasonable ribbon challenge – spring with ribbon

I hope you will be able to join in with my challenge this week.  Your entry doesn’t have to be anything too complicated (just look at my project) the main thing is to have fun!  I look forward to seeing what you create.  I would like to welcome my newest followers – Vicki and Tonya *waves hello*.  Thanks for joining me ladies and I hope you will visit me often.  I’m running late with my post for the winter wonderland challenge but hopefully I’ll get around to posting it tomorrow.  Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for stopping by.

You can tell I’m not in work lol!

As the title says you know I’m not in work because I’m actually posting cards lol!  I wanted to share a card I actually made when I was GDT over at the Sweet Stampin’ challenge but didn’t get around to posting at the time!  I made a circle card for a change and used a gorgeous image from Saturated Canary called “Whispy”.  Here is my card:

cards6 002

cards6 005

Isn’t this image just adorable.  I coloured her with promarkers and flex markers and cut her out.  The pretty dotty paper has been in my stash for years – I think it was in a super duper 12x12 pad that I got from QVC when I first started crafting!!  To make the card base I used a extra large scallop circle die from go-kreate.  The doily is from Joanna Sheen and the stunning gingham ribbon is from fantastic ribbons

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Saturated canary challenge – Doilies

Pile it on challenge – spots or stripes or both

Stampin’ sisters in Christ challenge – things with wings

Stamps and fun = creativity challenge – one bow

Ladybug crafts ink challenge – pink and girly

Papertake challenge – anything goes

Crafts and me challenge – things with wings

I love promarkers challenge – ribbons and bows

A gem of a challenge – perfect pastels (hope it’s ok that I used some black too!)

Allsorts challenge – spread your wings

I hope you’re all having a great day so far.  The weather here has been "mixed” shall we say, ranging from torrential rain to bright sunshine and then gale force winds but at least it’s sunny for the time being.  I may be back later with another card – I know I’m going from one extreme to the other but I have to make the most of the time to catch up on some cards I haven’t had chance to share with you.  Until then have a brilliant day and thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate your lovely comments.

Stamp with fun #141–DT project

Good morning dear crafters.  I hope you all had a good weekend and I trust the weather calmed down for most of you.  It was lovely here on Saturday but the heavens opened yesterday.  I am so behind with my Christmas preparations – I still haven’t trimmed up and I’ve yet to write any cards – but it will all work out in the end as it always does!!

I’m here this morning with my DT project for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  Our theme this week is “packaging/gift wrapping” and you can make anything you like, it doesn’t have to be for Christmas but it is perfect for any last minute Christmas gifts you may have to make.  As luck would have it I brought home an empty biscuit tin from work last week so it was an ideal opportunity to repurpose it.  Here is my decorated tin:

I decided not to make a Christmas tin but instead made a girly tin as my niece’s birthday is coming up in a week’s time so I thought I could fill it with something yummy for her.  I used a neglected stamp from sugar nellie stamps called ‘gorjuss sitting’ and coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  The pretty paper is cosmo cricket (which is double sided and I used both sides) and the beautiful broderie anglaise lace is from wild orchid crafts

The rest of the design team have created wonderful samples again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my altered tin in the following challenges:

Corrosive challenge – anything except Christmas

Stampin’ sisters in Christ challenge – make a birthday card/project

Divas by design challenge – anything goes (2nd entry)

Flutterby Wednesday challenge – open theme

Cute card Thursday challenge – anything goes

Do you stack up? challenge – something old (my stamp and paper)

Meljen’s challenge – use green

The sugar bowl challenge – sketch & option do something unusual

Fairy tale challenge – gift box or gift i.e. bag

Totally papercrafts challenge – anything but Christmas

Allsorts challenge – it takes two – use 2 colours (pink & green)

Penny black and more challenge – happy birthday (2nd entry)

I will be back later with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge so until then I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge #170–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

I’m back again as promised to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week my lovely buddy Donna has set the theme and she has chosen “let’s get krafty” so she would like to see us colouring onto kraft card.  Now I have to say this is the first time I have attempted this and my efforts and not a patch on the amazing creations I see in blogland.  In my defence I used kids colouring pencils as I don’t have any proper crafting pencils so I did the best I could!!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 170 - get krafty

CCC challenge 170 - get krafty (close up)

I used a super cute image from Mo’s Digital Pencil called ‘first Christmas’ and as I say I used kids colouring pencils (which I’ve had so long they were bought in Woolworths lol!) to colour it in.  The papers are gorgeous and by my mind’s eye from the ‘be merry’ paper pad.  The sentiment is from the clipart fairy and the snowflakes are cut with a die-namics die, which I got from dies to die for

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Emma’s Store and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 gift voucher to spend in her online store.

Cupcake craft challenge #169–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hi everyone, as promised I’m back again with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week it is my turn to set the theme and as it’s my son’s 15th birthday next week I decided to get ahead and therefore I chose “card for a teenage boy”.  Now I know you’re all going to groan but unfortunately these cards do need to be made from time to time lol!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 169 - teenage boys

CCC challenge 169 - teenage boys (close up)

I used an image from Mo’s digital pencil called ‘gamer’ and coloured him with promarkers and flex markers.  This is how you will find my son most days after school, playing on his x-box or on the computer!!  The papers are from a really old pack by dovecraft called ‘masculine’ and I used my last sheet of elzybells kraft cardstock!!  I kept the embellishments fairly simple, as like most men my son isn’t that fussy with his cards, I die cut some stars and wrapped some twine around them, a few pearls and that was it.  The twine is actually green so I don’t know why it looks yellow in the pics (user error again I suppose lol!)  My card is A5 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Lili of the Valley and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.

Stamp with fun #138–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a great weekend, although it seemed to sneak passed me without barely registering and here we are again ready to start the working week (groan!!).  As it’s Monday morning it’s time for a brand new challenge over at stamp with fun challenge and this week we have a wonderful sketch by Andrea-Emmi41 to use.  I really enjoyed using the sketch this week and I think it will be put in my ‘sketches’ book for use again in the future.  Here is my card:

and here is the sketch:

I made this card for my parents to give to my niece and as it’s her 18th birthday I made an 8x8 card.  The image is some odd girl stamps and is called ‘dancin’ Kaylee’ and I coloured her with a mix of flex markers and promarkers.  The gorgeous papers are from a kit by my minds eye called ‘ooh la la’ and the gingham ribbon is from the pretty little ribbon shop

We have a sponsor this week and that is Cute stamps and Cards and they are offering one lucky winner a fantastic Marianne Creatables die.

Passion for promarkers #125–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a good start to the week.  Mine went super fast as it usually does, as Monday is one of our busiest days in work.  Boy wasn’t it chilly though, definitely getting colder in the mornings – I may have to dig out my coat – I’m trying to last it as long as possible as I hate wearing a coat to work!!

Anyway enough of my rambling I’m here this morning with my card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Julie has set the theme and she has chosen ‘kraft + 1 other colour’, you can use a tiny smidge of other colours on your images but the background must be only kraft and your chosen extra colour.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 125 - kraft 1 other

PFP challenge 125 - kraft 1 other (close up)

I have used a brand new image from DigiStamp Boutique from the ‘cute Santa collection’ which is one of 3 ‘offers of the month’ for November and available at a bargain price – so grab it whilst you can at the offer price.  I coloured the cute little Santa with flex markers and promarkers and added flower soft to his hat band and bobble.  The papers are a mix – the gingham paper is a really old piece from a pack I got from Joanna Sheen when I first starting crafting and the holly paper is dovecraft from the ‘back to basic Christmas’ paper pack.  The buttons were cut out using a die-namics die.  The dotty organza ribbon was originally white but I coloured it with my flex marker to match my card.

Our sponsor this week is Some Odd Girl and one lucky winner will receive 3 digi images of their choice from their online store.

Sassy studio designs–GDT card

Good evening dear friends.  I’m embarrassed to say that I was a guest designer over at sassy studio designs for October and this is the first card I’ve been able to blog.  As you know at the beginning of the month I was unable to print out any digis due to being out of ink in my printer and I’ve had a bad few weeks personally so this is the first chance I’ve had to be part of the team.  I would like to apologise to the wonderful girls over at sassy studio designs for my lack of creations and I am personally so disappointed as I really love the sassy digis and I enjoy using them as they are so grown up lol!   I made this card for this week’s “inspired by a movie” challenge and the film I chose was “elf” as it is just so funny and perfect for the time of year.  Here is my card:

Sassy Studio Designs - Elf

Sassy Studio Designs - Elf (close up)

I decided to go for a twist on the traditional colours and used lime green instead of the normal holly green, which I think looks quite funky.  The image is called ‘Santa’s helper’ and I coloured her with a mix of promarkers and flex markers.  I cut out the image as she was a little bit too big for any of my nesties and raised her up on 3d foam squares.  The papers are old ones that I found in my stash – the checked paper is doodlebug and the words paper is momenta.

The design team are so talented and have created beautiful projects for this challenge.  Please pop over to the challenge and check them out.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

OSAAT challenge – Christmas

Stamptacular challenge – borders and frames

The squirrel & the fox challenge – hats or flowers

Craft your passion challenge – BINGO (pearls, free, ribbon)

Heart song inspirations challenge – embossing and/or 3 or more layers

Ladybug crafts ink challenge – non traditional and/or distressed Christmas card

The pixie cottage challenge – sketch and/or get started, make a Christmas card

The beary sweet challenge – your beary best i.e. anything goes

By the cute and girly challenge – Christmas girls

Kaboodle challenge – sassy girls

If you’re quick you still have until 7am tomorrow to enter a card into the challenge, and although we’d love to see your sassy images, you can use any image you like.  I’ll be back later with another card using a sassy image (I am trying to make amends for my poor show last month!!).  I hope you have a wonderful evening and thanks so much for stopping by.

Passion for promarkers #124–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a good Halloween – it was really quiet here, just a few children trick or treating – but I think the wet weather was the reason for that.  At least my boys were happy as I had lots of sweeties left over for them.  I cannot believe it is already the 1st November, what happened to October?

I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Emma has set the theme and she has chosen “a day at the zoo”, so you must include an animal that you would find at the zoo on your creation such as elephants, giraffes etc.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 124 - at the zoo

PFP challenge 124 - at the zoo (close up)

I decided to make a baby card (yes again lol!) and used this super cute image from pink petticoat called ‘baby giraffe’ which comes in a boy and girl version.  Can you guess which version I used haha!  I know it’s very pink but I think it’s quite cute.  It’s a dinky 4x4 card and the pretty paper is a magazine freebie.  The image is coloured with flex markers and promarkers.  The image is part of the sentiment but I cut it apart to fit the smaller sized card.

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.
