Our creative corner challenge

b'day card (6)

b'day card (6) close up

The challenge over at our creative corner this week was a sketch.  It’s been so long since I’ve managed to enter their challenges but the sketch was so lovely that I couldn’t resist this week, although I did rotate the sketch to fit my image.  I used a TGF image from the ‘miss anya dressy’ set and coloured her with my promarkers.  The papers are all DCWV and the plain cs is bazzill bling.  I created the sentiment on the pc and cut it out with my SU oval punches.  The large flower was cut out with my ek success retro flower punch and the small flower was from ikea.  The gorgeous brad is from my stash and the adhesive pearls are BG.  A fairly simple card but as the papers are so busy I think it looks ok.  Thanks for your lovely get well wishes yesterday….I’m still feeling poorly as I coughed all night last night and I’m really tired today :(  I’m beginning to sound like a man aren’t I!!  Hopefully will start to feel better over the weekend after I dose myself up with lotions and potions!!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for promarkers #17 – DT card

PFP challenge 17 - polka dots

PFP challenge 17 - polka dots (close up)

This week over at passion for promarkers our new challenge is any colours of promarkers but we would like you to use ‘polka dots’ somewhere on your project.  This week’s challenge was chosen by the lovely Debbi.  I decided to use a digi-image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘becky’ and coloured her with the following new promarkers:

Hair – tan & caramel

Cupcake – honeycomb & cerise

Trousers and ribbons in hair – peach & mango

Top, and shoes – Baby pink & pink carnation

Skin – ivory, blush & pastel pink (all old colours)

The papers and ribbon are SU and the flowers are from ikea (I removed the plastic centre, added stickles to the petals and added a PM pearl brad in the middle).  I used my martha stewart zigzag embossed punch for the decorative edge and L-em leaf punch for the white leaves.  The glittery dots are PM.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarkers.  Don’t forget to check out the DT cards as they are gorgeous.  I look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your dotty creations.

I just want to remind you that you can still take part in the PFP blog hop and win all 56 new promarkers just launched by Letrast.  The hop ends at 9pm on Thursday.  Full details are available on the challenge blog.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for Promarkers #11 – DT card

PFP challenge 11 - Michele's sketch

    PFP challenge 11 - Michele's sketch (close up 1)

Wow the weeks are just flying by, but we are having fun too, so that’s ok!!  This week over at passion for promarkers the lovely Michele has given us a sketch to use but we can use any colours we like *yay* (great for all you peeps that don’t have all the colours yet).

For my card this week I have used a sugar nellie gorjuss girl image called ‘poppy fields’ and coloured her with the following promarkers:

Dress & tights – ruby

Boots & tights – marsh green, olive green, cool grey 2

Hair – cinnamon, cocoa and henna

Skin – Ivory, blush & pastel pink

Flowers – olive green and ruby

I also outlined the image with cool grey 1

The beautiful papers are all BG from the wassail paper pad (again new out of my birthday money) and the sentiment is by whiff of joy.  The white and green flowers are from ikea and I removed the plastic centre piece and the red flowers are punched out of the paper with my ek success small retro flower punch.  The brads are from my stash and the adhesive pearls are PM and were a birthday pressie from Sally-Ann (thanks hun).

Our sponsor this week is Wendy at Secret Crafter and the prize is 6 promarker pens (winner can choose their own colours).  Don’t forget to check out the DT cards, they’ve all done a wonderful job with Michele’s sketch.  I’m looking forward to seeing all your fab creations.  I am also entering this card into the one stop craft challenge as their theme this week is ‘swirls and pearls’ (I have swirly paper and adhesive pearls).  Thanks for stopping by today.
