Cupcake craft challenge #106 – DT card

I told you I’d be back lol!  I’m here with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  The lovely Liza has set the theme this week and has given us a gorgeous sketch to use.  Here is the sketch:

Here I am again, this time with my DT card for the cupcake craft challenge.  The theme this week has been set by the lovely Catherine and she has chosen “books and stories”.  Here is my card:

I've used an image called 'Mae as Alice' by some odd girl. My card is based on Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. I remember reading this book as a little girl and thinking how brave Alice was and how amazing all the creatures were. It was my favourite book for many years.

My boys are starting back to school today and they are not happy!!  Being 16 and almost 14 they have got used to just lazing around for the last 7 weeks (more for my 16 year old as he finished early because of his GCSE’s) and they are not looking forward to getting up at 7.30am in the morning.  My eldest has even stayed in bed until 3pm during the holidays – I know terrible isn’t it :)  I’m sure I’ll have some grumpy heads this morning.

By the Cute & Girly challenge – Guest DT projects

I am so excited to share with you my guest designer projects for the September By the cute and girly challenge. This month’s theme is “Indian summer” and I have to say I was a little perplexed as to what to make. One of the sponsors this month is whimsy stamps and they offered some images for the DT to use on their projects. I used one of their images called “Emma swinging” on my card. I also decided to make a sweet little gift box after seeing the fantastic tutorial on the Whiff of Joy tutorial blog. Here are my projects:
