SWF #36 - sketch (close up 2)

Sorry I haven’t been around for a few days but I’ve been having problems with my computer – hopefully it’s sorted now so normal service can resume!

The new challenge over at stamp with fun this week is a gorgeous sketch by Tina. For my card I used a digi-image by DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Christmas robin’ and coloured it with my promarkers. The stunning papers are all daisy bucket and the white card is from my stash and I inked all the edges with a colorbox cats eye inkpad in rouge. The snowflakes (actually called spangle flourish by ek success) were a pressie from Tracey at Dies to Die For and I smothered the pink one in stickles for extra bling! The sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punches to cut the paper behind it. The adhesive stones are PM.

Our sponsor this week is cute stamps and cards and one lucky winner will receive this gorgeous stamp:

stempel

I am also entering my card for the following challenges:

Stamptacular Sunday challenge – let it shine (any bling, sparkle and shine)

A spoonfull of sugar challenge – non traditional Christmas colours

Crafty calendar challenge – winter sparkle

All that scraps Wednesday challenge – Christmas

Susie’s sassy challenge #3 – DT card

SSC 3 - buttons & bows

SSC 3 - buttons & bows (close up)

Hello and welcome to a new challenge over at susie’s sassy challenge.  Our challenge for this fortnight is ‘buttons & bows’ and for my card I used an image kindly sent to me by Tracey (at Dies to Die For).  The image is called ‘Oliver‘ and is by kraftin’ kimmie stamps and I coloured it with my promarkers.  The paper is by K&Co from the Tim Coffey Christmas pad (which I got last year) and the plain paper is from the papermill shop.  The adhesive gems are PM (they were clear but I coloured them with my crimson promarker to match my card) and the green velvet ribbon is dovecraft.  The white ribbon which I made into bows is SU and the buttons are from my stash.  The snowflakes are MS and dovecraft punches and the sentiment is craftwork cards.  It’s difficult to tell in my useless picture but I added stickles to the snowflakes on the paper for a bit of extra bling!  I hope you will have time to check out the rest of the DT cards as they are stunning.  I can’t wait to see what you create and look forward to visiting your blogs.

The prize up for grabs is a guest DT post on susie’s sassy challenge – how awesome is that!!!

I will also be entering my card into the following challenges:

Pollycraft challenge – their theme is Christmas

Creative card crew challenge – their theme is also Christmas

Kraftin’ kimmie’s challenge – their theme is touchy feely (I have gorgeous velvet ribbon on my card)

All that scraps Wednesday challenge – their theme is Christmas as well!

Thanks for stopping by today.

A multi-challenge card!

Hello everyone, I hope you’ve had a wonderful Wednesday. Weather here has been a bit yucky again today. I had some car trouble yesterday morning – went out to go to work and had a flat tyre! Luckily hubby is working afternoons this week and he was in bed so fortunately I was able to leave my car for him to sort and take his to work. However it turned out to be a bit more serious than just a flat tyre – I hit a pot-hole on Saturday when we went to the cinema, a very large pot-hole and I had actually buckled my alloy wheel!!! How lucky was I ‘cos I used it for work yesterday. So now that I’m £190.00 worse off I have my car back – great timing ‘eh? I am actually thinking of speaking to the council and seeing if I can claim the money back (hubby went to take a photo of the pot-hole today but they have conveniently filled the hole in now). I’ll keep you posted on developments.

Anyway onto the reason you’ve visited me today :)

This card fits in with quite a few challenges this week:

Cute Card Thursday – they want cards for little boys

Quixotic Challenge – want to see a charm on your card

Simon Says Challenge – also want to see a charm

Paper Cutz Challenge – their theme is anything goes!

Allsorts Challenge – want to see buttons

La-La-Land Crafts Challenge - also want to see buttons

For my card I’ve used an adorable image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Thomas in pram’ (don’t miss out on the 20% off Christmas images currently running in the shop) and coloured him with promarkers. The gorgeous paper is imaginisce and the plain card is from the papermill shop. I used my MS doily lace punch for the decorative edge and the ribbon is dovecraft. The charm and buttons are from my stash. I printed the birth announcement details on the pc. I love making baby cards and I have another baby boy one to make tonight *yay*. Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget to come back tomorrow to see my card for the new susie’s sassy challenge.

Well have we got a challenge for you at passion for promarkers starting today! It’s not just any old challenge - this challenge will last until 5th January 2010. We don’t mind what colour promarkers you use but we want to see “anything but a card - with a Christmas theme”. As this is such a special challenge our sponsors have come up trumps and we have some extra special prizes up for grabs.

ProMarkerInfo3

Firstly our grand prize has been generously donated by Letraset – they have given us a whole set of promarkers, which includes the old and new colours – that’s 148 pens!! Plus they have also given us 2 x 5 promarker theme packs.

Joanna Sheen has kindly donated a £10.00 voucher for her online store.

Funky kits has kindly donated 8 prizes of Sugar Nellie stamps:
4 x Maggie & Hamish stamps PLUS 4 x Home Grown stamps.

Stampeezee has kindly donated a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Whiff of Joy has kindly donated a ‘Fred Celebrating Elephant’ stamp designed by Alison Acton.

We have a gorgeous stamp set called “a little bit of happiness” and roll of red gingham ribbon kindly donated by Julie, who is an independent stamping up demonstrator.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

For my project I used a basic bingo board and made it into a to-do notice board. I used a gorgeous stamp by PB called ‘xmas kiss’ and coloured it with the following promarkers:

Hedgie – ice grey 3 & 5, ivory, blush and pastel pink

Holly & mistletoe – meadow green, apple green and red

Birdie – tan, caramel, and red

The gingham paper is from my stash (but sadly has no name on it) and the gorgeous patterned paper is daisy bucket called wrapped wishes – snowflake waltz (this is double sided 12x12 paper and I used the distressed design on the reverse). The small snowflakes were cut with my dovecraft punch and the large snowflakes have been cut with my MS arctic punch. The adhesive stones are PM and the beautiful ribbon is dovecraft from the 99p range! The ‘to-do’ stickers are K&Co and are really glittery IRL. I used my circle nesties to cut out my image and my MS doily lace punch for the paper covering the notepad (I didn’t have a lined notepad to hand so had to use this cash-book type book as it was all I could find at short notice!) I inked the edge of the paper with a colorbox cats eye chalk ink pad in rouge. You must check out the rest of the DT projects as they are all stunning! We hope you will enjoy our extended challenge and you can enter as many times as you like, as long as your projects are all “anything but a card - with a Christmas theme”. The DT will also be providing you with more inspiration on the 15th December so don't forget to check back again then. I can’t wait to see what you create and look forward to visiting your blogs.

Thanks for stopping by today and good luck!!

Cupcake craft challenge #68 – DT card

** This is my second post for today - please scroll down to see my stamp with fun DT card **

CCC challenge 68 - red & green

CCC challenge 68 - red & green (close up)

I’m back again with the new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge, which this week has been chosen by the lovely Liza. She would like to see your projects with the colour scheme of ‘red and green’ this week (again another not so difficult challenge lol!). For my card I used another neglected stamp by LOTV called ‘Isobel – winter princess’ and coloured it with my promarkers, adding stickles to her poinsettias. The beautiful papers are BG from the wassail paper pad. The adhesive stones are PM (which I coloured with my crimson promarker to match my card) and the poinsettia was made following a fab tutorial on the WOJ tutorial blog by Dawn Wheeler, although mine didn’t turn out as stunning as hers, but not too bad for a first go! The lovely sentiment is by squiggle stamps.

Our sponsor this week is the creative cottage and one lucky winner will receive 2 x digital kits.

Stamp with fun #35 – DT card

SWF # 35 - x-mas card

SWF # 35 - x-mas card (close up)

Hello and welcome to a new challenge over at stamp with fun.  This week we’ve made it easy for you – our theme this week is Christmas – now that isn’t a challenge is it!!  For my card I used a neglected WOJ image called ‘winter Charlotte with cat’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  The gorgeous papers are dovecraft from the Christmas blues paper pack (which is from last year) and the plain paper is from the papermill shop.  The white snowflake is MS (arctic snowflake) and the coloured one was cut with a dovecraft punch.  The sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punches to cut out the paper behind it.  I used my SU & woodware circle punches to cut out the circles from the paper and the adhesive stones are PM.

Please check out the rest of the DT cards as they are all so beautiful.  I can’t wait to see what you create this week and I look forward to visiting your blogs.

I’m also entering this card for the Friday sketchers challenge as I followed their gorgeous sketch, whiff of joy challenge wants ‘a Christmas card’ and charisma cardz as they want ‘anything Christmas’.  Don’t forget to check back later to see my cupcake craft challenge DT card.  Thanks for stopping by.

The sugar bowl challenge #24

b'day card (1)

b'day card (1) close up

My card today is for the the sugar bowl challenge, which this week has a gorgeous sketch by Marlene to follow (& the must include option is zig-zag). I’ve used a sugar nellie image from the home grown autumn kit (which I’m only now getting around to inking up!!) and I coloured the image with my promarkers. I used kraft card from elzybells and the full sheet of paper is SU. The smaller patterned pieces are from my scrap box and the plain indigo paper is pink petticoat, which I ran through the CB with the swiss dots embossing folder. I used my MS zig-zag embossed border punch for the strip across the middle of the card and the adhesive stones are PM. I haven’t added a sentiment yet as I don’t know it will be for. I really liked the layout and didn’t add any extra embellishments as I didn’t want to spoil it. Thanks for stopping by today.

Edited to add - thank you to Marianne for pointing out that I couldn't combine my sugar bowl card with other challenges if I wanted to be included in the draw for the prizes - thanks hun - maybe I should pay more attention to the rules in future lol :)
