Crafty Muse challenge - change of season

Here is my first card as guest designer for crafty muse. The challenge this time is 'change of season' so obviously I thought to make a spring time card. I downloaded the crafty muse angelique image and coloured her (very brightly) with my pro-markers adding stickles to her wings and flowers. I used dp from crafter's cove (but they don't seem to stock it now sorry) and also cut out some daffodil's from the dp and randomly added them onto the card. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the ribbon is from my stash. The adhesive gems are from QVC and the sentiment was created on my pc. I hope you like my first try as a guest designer and I can't wait to see all your cards. Thanks for stopping by.

Sketch saturday #41

I was asked by my mother to make a birthday card for her friend so decided to use the lovely sketch on sketch saturday this week. I stamped the stamping bella 'daisybella' image and coloured her with my pro-markers, adding highlights with a sakura stardust pen. The green dp is by doodlebug and the flowery dp is by imagination project. The orange cs is from the papermill shop and the sentiment was created on the pc. The buttons and flowers are from my stash and the bow is from ideal world (so long ago). The adhesive stones are PM. I love this colour combo, I was inspired by the colours on the colour create challenge this week, so springy and fresh. Thanks for stopping by.

Friday sketchers #42/OCC challenge

This is my card for this week's friday sketcher's sketch and the OCC challenge which is 'add a doodle'. I stamped the SU image (from crazy for cupcakes) and coloured it with my pro-markers adding highlights with a sakura stardust pen. The dp is all SU (I was part of a paper share with Jules so don't know any of the names lol). The sentiment was created on the pc and I moved it slightly to the right of where it should be on the sketch (hope this is ok). The adhesive gems are kaiser craft and the swirl is a sizzix die that I cut out in the CB. The flowers are from my stash. Thanks for stopping by.

WOJ #20/Truly scrumptious #2

This is my card for the WOJ challenge this week which is 'lavender and lace' and the truly scrumptious challenge which is a sketch, with an added extra of handmade buttons. When I heard the WOJ challenge I immediately thought of joanna sheen's lace paper, which I've had in my stash for ages and thus covering both parts of the challenge (the lavender colour and the lace effect pattern). I stamped the willow image and coloured her with my pro-markers. The plain cs is from the papermill shop. I was going to try and be creative with my handmade buttons but as usual I left it until last minute to make the card so I only punched circles out of the plain cs and pierced holes in the centre and added small pieces of craft wire instead of thread. The sentiment is a clear stamp by daisy bucket and the pearls are (can you guess) kanban lol!. Hope you like. Thanks for stopping by.

Anniversary card

A lady at work asked me to make a golden wedding anniversary card for her parents, but didn't want it too lovey dovey! I don't really have any suitable stamps (I know very poor) so I decided to punch out some gold mirri hearts with my woodware punch and run them through the CB with the hearts embossing folder. The dp is PM from the simply elegant paper pack. The gold mirri card is from my stash and the sentiment was created on the pc. The adhesive dots are from QVC. The scalloped edge on the mirri card was cut with fiskars decorative scissors. The organza ribbon was given to me by a friend in work from a present she received at Christmas.

I also have good news. I tried out for the GD at Dies to Die For and went to check Tracy's blog last evening thinking there was no way I was going to get on and unfortunately I wasn't picked for the DT in April but luckily for me Tracy decided to offer a few more extra places in May and I was lucky enough to get one *yay*. I am so excited and can't wait for May to come around now. Tracy has a lovely selection of stamps on offer and her service is second to none, so why not go and check out what's available (she even has stamps by the greeting farm - so cute). Thanks for looking.

Cupcake challenge #29/ASFOS #41/LOTV #21

This is my (very last gasp) card for this week's cupcake challenge, which is an inspirational photo and also my entry for the a spoonful of sugar challenge, which is 'torn edges' and the lily of the valley challenge, which is 'bright and beautiful'. I stamped the rubber stampede image using my SU stamping spots. The dp is DCWV from the blossoms and butterflies stack and the plain cs is bazzill bling. The sentiment is elzybells, which I punched out with my woodware retro labels punch. The pearls are kanban and the ric-rac ribbon is from my stash. Apologies for the glare in the photo but the bazzill bling played havoc with the flash on the camera. Thanks for stopping by.

Pollycraft challenge #10/MTTC #51

I made this card for the pollycraft challenge, which this week is a sketch and the my time to craft challenge, which is 'hats'. I did however rotate the sketch onto it's side as my image fitted better that way around. I printed off a pollycraft benji download and coloured him with my pro-markers. I used dp by buzzcraft and plain cs from the papermill shop. The sentiment is stamping bella (I love it - the font is so great), the button is doodlebug and the craft wire threaded through it is from my stash. The ribbon is american crafts and I used my fiskars scalloped decorative scissors for the edge of the red cs. I'm really happy with this card and will probably give it to a little boy who's birthday is coming up soon. Thanks for stopping by, I appreicate your visit.
