Passion for promarkers #47 – DT card

Over at passion for promarkers challenge this week Ida has chosen the theme and she wants us to ‘create our background using only our promarkers’.  Now I have to say that when the DT saw the theme there were lots of groans and moans but everyone has done a terrific job.

Here is my effort:

PFP challenge 47 - create your own background

PFP challenge 47 - create your own background (close up)

To create my background I used lavender, yellow and ice grey 2 promarkers.  I coloured in 3 pieces of SU whisper white card with my 3 colours and then punched out 3 different size circles and randomly stuck them to a larger square of white card deliberately placing a few over the edge of the card.  I doodled around each circle with a black fine liner pen and cut off the overlapping circles.  I then placed this card onto a piece of purple card to use as my base.  I also coloured the raffia and ribbon with the promarkers to match my card.  I used a freebie image from pollycraft called ‘cody’ which I originally printed out to enter the recent DT call but unfortunately ran out of time to enter.  I coloured the image with the following promarkers:

Jeans – ice grey 2, ice grey 4, yellow and mustard

T-shirt, hat and shoes – lavender, lilac, yellow and mustard

Hair – yellow and mustard

Skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink

Shading – cool grey 1

The sentiment is SU from the ‘wow flowers’ stamp set and this was cut out with my SU oval all punches.  The image was cut out with my oval nesties.  I deliberately kept the card simple as I wanted to show as much of my background as I could. Sometimes you have an idea in your head but it doesn’t turn out as planned but I am actually quite pleased with how it turned out in the end.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarkers.

Cupcake craft challenge #86 – DT card

Hello – I’m back with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week our theme is ‘childhood memories’ and has been chosen by the lovely Catherine.  Here is what I came up with:

CCC challenge 86 - childhood memories

CCC challenge 86 - childhood memories (close up)

My card looks a little washed out in these pictures but it doesn’t IRL – honestly!!  I chose this image as when I was a little girl I loved my dollies and I had a little pram and pretended to be a mother (as I think most little girls of my generation did)!!  Ah the blissful contentment of being very young and without a care in the world :)  The rest of the DT have come up with some gorgeous samples to inspire you so please go on over a take a look.  Donna isn’t very well at the moment – hope you feel better very soon Donna – sending hugs and get well wishes :)

Our sponsor this week is Digital Delights by Louby Lou and one lucky winner will receive a $10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Stamp with fun #54 – DT card

Hello and welcome to a brand new week.  Our challenge over at stamp with fun challenge this week is a gorgeous sketch by Emmi41.

SWF sketch #54

and this is my take on it:

SWF #54 - sketch

SWF #54 - sketch (close up)

It is a really gorgeous sketch to use and I love all the different layers on it.  I have to admit though that I didn’t notice the pink dot on the sketch (I know it’s massive but there you go) so I haven’t put anything in that spot – oh well!!!  If you get a chance please pop over and take a look at the rest of the DT cards, as they are beautiful as usual.  I’m sure they would appreciate a nice comment too :)

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Corrosive challenge – texture (my ribbon)

OSAAT challenge – torn, distressed or shabby (I’ve inked all my edges – that’s about as distressed as I get!!)

Stampavie and more challenge – use some green

Our creative corner challenge – bows

Susie’s sassy challenge #12 – DT card

Well it’s finally here – the last ever challenge for Susie’s sassy challenge.  Susie has decided that she needs to cut back on her challenge blogs and unfortunately as this one was the last one she set up it’s had the chop!!  I will be so sad to see it go as I’ve had a whale of a time and the girls on the DT are a fab bunch and a pleasure to work with.  I hope you will be able to join in with us for our final challenge and send us off with a bang :)

Our final challenge for the next two week is ‘me and my pets’, so come on dig out all your animal stamps and digi’s and get to work!

SSC #12 - pets

SSC #12 pets (side view)

SSC #12 - pets (close up)

Our sponsor this week is Di’s digi downloads and the DT were lucky enough to be given some of her images to work with!  For my card I used ‘Maisy and Kaboodle, reaching for presents’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I decided as it was the last challenge for us I would try and make something a little different.  After a quick mooch around SCS I thought I’d have a go at making a ‘spring’ card.  Now this is the first time I’ve made one and I have to say I’m quite pleased with how it turned out, although I’ll try and make it a bit bigger next time.  The papers I used are from Inque Boutique and the paper pad is called ‘cabana’.  The flowers were punched out of the papers with my medium and small ek success retro flower punches and the leaves were cut with my L’em punch.  The adhesive glitter dots were from QVC a long time ago and the sentiment is by whiff of joy.

Please snag my blinkie

The lucky winner of this challenge will win 2 digi images from Di’s digi downloads online store – you’ll be spoiled for choice as she has lots of adorable images to choose from.

My card also fits in with the following challenges:

Incy wincy designs challenge – fancy folds

Pollycraft challenge – anything goes

Sophisticat challenge – raining cats and dogs (cat on my image)

Magical crafts challenge – animal antics

Crafty cardmakers challenge – a challenging challenge

I love promarkers challenge – animals
