Susie’s sassy challenge #6 – DT card

SSC #6 - Card for a boy - option to include an animal

SSC #6 - Card for a boy - option to include an animal (close up)

Good morning and welcome to our new challenge over at Susie’s sassy challenge.  Our theme this week is ‘a card for a boy with the optional extra to include an animal’.  Tracy chose the theme this time as it is her son’s 4th birthday on Sunday and he loves animals so I made my card with him in mind.  I used a super cute digi image from Mo’s digital pencil called Bronte and Louis and I coloured it with my promarkers.  The papers are all making memories from the ‘max’ 12x12 paper pack.  The sentiment and number 4 were created on the pc and I used my quickutz star cookie cutter to cut out the ‘4’.  I used my new MS scalloped punch to create the band along the bottom of the card.

The prize up for grabs this week is this fantastic heart shaped chip-board mini album, just in time for Valentine’s day!

Multi-challenge card

Hello and welcome to a very white and snowy South Wales.  This is a picture I took last night before I went to bed of my street (and it was still snowing then).  My poor fiesta was starting to disappear!!  On the upside I couldn’t get to work today so managed a bit of crafting (but not as much as I would have liked as hubby and kids were home too lol!).

12.01.10 (3)

My card today is for a couple of challenges

The Pink Elephant challenge – birthday

Pollycraft Challenge – Winter birthdays

One Stop Craft Challenge – A night at the movies (I’ve gone for Bambi)

b'day card (29)

I used a gorgeous Sugar Nellie image from the autumn kit and coloured it with my promarkers.  The papers are cosmo cricket from the honey pie range and the plain card is SU.  The decorative edge was cut with my MS doily lace punch and the flowers were cut with my small ek success retro flower punch.  The sentiment is SU from the ‘wow flowers’ stamp set and I used my SU oval punches to cut it out.  The ribbon is dovecraft and the adhesive pearls are from my stash.

I hope you are keeping safe and warm and take care if you’re out and about.  I’ll probably be catching the bus to work tomorrow again (groan).  Please call back tomorrow to see my DT card for the new Susie’s Sassy Challenge.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for Promarkers #34 – DT card

PFP challenge 34 - cool aqua & cocoa

PFP challenge 34 - cool aqua & cocoa (close up)

Welcome to a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers.  Our challenge this week has been chosen by Samantha, our GDT and she would like to see you use the promarker colours cool aqua and cocoa as the predominant colours on your image.  For my card I used a digi image by Mo Manning called ‘birthday hamster’ (and is available from Mo’s digital pencil shop).  I coloured my image with the following promarkers:

Hamster – cocoa (but softened with the blender pen and I think it makes him look more fluffy!) oatmeal and pastel pink

Cupcake base – oatmeal and saffron

Frosting – cool aqua and duck egg

Shading around image – ice grey 1

The papers are mostly DCWV except for the corner piece with is bazzill card.  The brown card is SU chocolate chip (I’m gonna need another pack soon Jules).  The ribbon and sentiment (from the wow flowers set) are both also SU.  I used my new MS double scallop punch for the decorative edge.  No embellishments but I think its perfectly fine without any.

Our sponsor this week is Sugar Nellie Stamps and the lucky winner will receive these gorgeous stamps:

CCC challenge 73 - going girly (close up 2)

Wow the week’s are just flying by aren’t they – it’s Monday so that means it time for a new challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge. This week’s theme has been chosen by the super talented Donna and it is ‘going girly’. Our sponsor this week is Stretch N Bubbles and the DT were lucky enough to be offered some of their digital images for our samples. For my card I used one of their images called ‘spreading love Bonnie’ and I coloured her with promarkers, adding stickles to her wings and diamond glaze to the hearts. The papers are BG from the lemonade paper pad and the plain card is from the papermill shop. The sentiment is SU from the circle of friendship set and the flowers are from tabby crafts. As I didn’t have flowers in the right colour scheme I coloured white ones with my promarkers to match my image – I think they look quite good.

The winner of this week’s challenge will receive 4 digi images PLUS each of the Top 5 winners will also receive 1 digi image courtesy of Stretch N Bubbles – how cool is that!

I am also entering my card into the following challenges:

Truly Scrumptious – sketch

A Spoonfull of Sugar challenge – Hearts

Digital Tuesday challenge – Valentines

ABC challenge – L is for layering

I hope you’ll take the time to check out the rest of the DT cards, as they are all stunning. I can’t wait to see what you create this week and look forward to visiting your blogs. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp with fun #41 – DT card

SWF #41 - snowflakes

SWF #41 - snowflakes (close up 1)

Hello and welcome to a new challenge over at Stamp with Fun.  This week’s theme is ‘snowflakes’ and for my card I used my new WOJ image called ‘Henry Mouse with hot chocolate’ that I won recently (I won Samantha’s personal candy during the ABC Christmas challenge blog hop – how lucky am I!).  I coloured the image with my promarkers and cut him out with my new oval nesties.  The papers are all dovecraft from the winter wonderland paper pack and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The snowflakes were cut with my MS arctic snowflake punch and the adhesive stones are PM (although they were originally clear and I coloured them with my promarkers to match my colour scheme).  The sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punches to cut the card behind it.

I’m also entering this card into the following challenges:

SCSC – I’ve used their sketch

Simon Says Challenge – Hot Chocolate

Crafty Calendar Challenge – Keep Warm

Quixotic Challenge – Hot Chocolate

Please check out the rest of the DT cards as they are all gorgeous again this week.  I can’t wait to see what you come up with and look forward to visiting your blogs.  I’ll be back a little later with my card for this week’s Cupcake Craft Challenge.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Colour create challenge #35/Pile it on challenge #29/ABC challenge

b'day card (20)

b'day card (20) close up

Hello and welcome to a snowy and icy South Wales.  Our street is completely “off limits” yet again as no gritters have been through.  I’m back to getting the bus to work again today, although I did take an annual leave day yesterday and stayed tucked up nice and warm at home!  The kids went back to school for half a day on Tuesday but have been off since (unfortunately they are praying for more snow lol)!

My card today is for the colour create challenge which is ‘lemon and lime’, pile it on challenge #29 which is ‘anything digital’ and the ABC challenge which is ‘L for layering’.  I used a cute digi image by soft pencil called ‘I’ll keep you safe Michu’ and I coloured it with my promarkers.  The gingham paper is from my stash, the dotty paper is a magazine freebie and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive pearls are kanban.  The ribbon and flower charm are from my stash.  I created the decorative edge with my MS simple scallop punch.

I know many of you have had an excessive amount of snow, it all looks so pretty until you have to go out and about in it!  Unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to clear as quickly as it came.  I hope you are all keeping safe and warm wherever you are.  Thanks for stopping by.
