Cupcake craft challenge #155–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again everyone.  I’m back with my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and this week we are super excited as we are celebrating our 3rd birthday.  We’ve got lots of amazing prizes and also a fun Treasure Hunt for you to take part in.  I’ll give you the details of this week’s challenge first then I’ll explain all about the Treasure Hunt.  I apologise now as this is going to be a long post, so grab a cuppa and a biscuit (or two!) and get comfy.

Our challenge this week has been set by the lovely Faye and she has given us a gorgeous sketch to work with.  It’s a lovely simple sketch so very open to your interpretation.  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 155 - sketch

CCC challenge 155 - sketch (close up)

and here is Faye’s fab sketch:

CCC challenge 155 sketch

I have used a super cute image from Tickled Pink stamps called ‘Lil Pinkette – Coraline’ and coloured her with my promarkers.  The papers are papermania from the ‘happy birthday to you’ paper pad and the black cardstock is SU.  The butterfly and cupcake are really sparkly IRL as I covered them with stickles but it’s not showing up in the pic that well.  I really love this sketch as I love the clean lines of it and will definitely be using it again.

Now we have lots of wonderful sponsors this week.  Crafty Emma’s store is offering a £10 gift voucher, Cupcake Card and Craft is offering a ‘soft whispers paper collection’ (picture on the challenge blog), Digi's with Attitude is offering a $10 gift certificate, Inky Impressions is offering 1 stamp and a goodie bag, The Stamping Boutique is offering 5 digi images of the winner's choice and Tickled Pink Stamps are offering either 1 rubber stamp or 2 digi images of the winner’s choice.  Wow doesn’t that sound amazing!

On top of that we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ sponsors, and for August we have 3 as it is our birthday month.  Firstly we have Crafts U Love who are offering a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store, secondly we have Mo’s Digital Pencil who are offering a $10.00 gift code to use in their online store and thirdly we have Sew Sweet who are offering a £10.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.  So definitely lots of yummy reasons to play along this month.

Now as I mentioned earlier we are having a birthday Treasure Hunt.  To be eligible to win Treasure, you will need to leave a comment on the post you find the Treasure on.  There are 3 different Treasures to be won.  The comment will need to include your Inlinkz number, as you are only able to enter if you play along in this week’s challenge.  You will also need to add a picture of the Treasure to your sidebar, linking back to Cupcake.  You can enter all 3 Treasures, if you find them, so long as you enter our challenge this week, leave a comment as above and include one treasure picture on your sidebar.   Winners will be randomly drawn from all the comments on the relevant posts, noon on Sunday but don’t forget you must follow the rules mentioned above.

I am honoured to tell you that I am a “Treasure Keeper” and this is the fantastic prize you can win.

Charisma cardz #32–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you are having a great week so far.  Mine is going great (it helps not being in work of course) but it’s going too fast lol!  As it’s Thursday it means it’s time for a brand new challenge over at charisma cardz challenge and this week it’s time for Team Gem to share their work (which I’m part of).  As from last week the DT has a few new members and we’ve split into two teams – Team Carly and Team Gem – so that means I will only be posting a card once a fortnight now, although I will still be commenting every week.  Anyway enough rambling the theme this week is “distressed” and here is my card:

charisma cardz #32 - distressing

charisma cardz #32 - distressing (close up)

I received my new Go-Kreate XXL scalloped circle dies a few days ago and couldn’t wait to use them so made a circle card for a change.  I stupidly didn’t order the XXL plain circles (but I’ve rectified that now lol) so I used the scallops for all the layers, except the image which I cut out with my circle nestie.  The super cute image is from Some Odd Girl called ‘snuggle tiny Tia’ and the paper is basic grey from the ‘kioshi’ paper pad.  My distressing consists of inking every edge possible with a chalk ink pad.  I normally rough up all the edges with a scissors but as all the edges are scalloped I thought this would probably look a bit naff!!

We have two sponsors this week, firstly we have Some Odd Girl (who generously gave me my image) and they are offering one lucky winner 3 digis of their choice and our second sponsor is  The Stamping Boutique and they are offering one lucky winner 5 digis of their choice.

The rest of the design team have created amazing creations as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Cutie Sunday challenge – flower power

Dream valley challenge – distressing

Sentimental Sunday challenge – flowers and a sentiment

Whoopsi daisy challenge – anything but square

Craft your passion challenge – under the sea or fave season (mine is summer)

Incy wincy designs challenge – something old, something new (old - paper, new – dies, digi)

Lollipop crafts challenge – monochromatic (hope my brown cat is allowed – couldn’t colour him purple lol!)

Creative craft challenge – it’s summertime (I think my card is very summery)

Everybody art challenge – summer

Let’s craft and create challenge – go digi

Paper pretties challenge – die cuts

The pixie cottage challenge – sketch and/or say it with flowers

Stampavie and more challenge – card for a girl

I hope you will be able to join in with our challenge this week and I cannot wait to see what you create.  I would like to welcome my newest follower shortshop *waves hello*, I hope you can visit me again soon.  Anyway that’s my lot for today.  Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Passion for promarkers #112–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a good Monday – as I’m still off work it was wonderful to have a lie-in and although I didn’t achieve very much it was nice to just “potter” around the house lol!  I’m back this morning as it’s time for a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Anja has set the theme and she has chosen “divas with glam & glitter”, so basically any glamorous ladies are allowed with a bit of a diva streak haha!  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 112 - divas with glam & glitter

PFP challenge 112 - divas with glam & glitter (close up)

I have used a digi image from Karber Digital Images called ‘pet Denny’ and I think she certainly looks like a diva lol!  I cut her and her little doggy out (no mean feat for me I can tell you!!) and added 3d foam to raise her slightly from the oval nestie.  I used papers from the Basic Grey ‘Olivia’ paper pad.  I have a small confession – I was planning on stamping the sentiment in the top right hand corner but accidently dropped the inked up stamp just as I was going to stamp therefore a quick cover up job was needed and the gems were my lifesaver lol!  So not what I was intending to do but it looks ok I think!  Not really happy with the flowers however but they’re stuck down now so it’s too late.

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and the lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Cupcake craft challenge #154–DT card

**THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello, I’m back again as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  The lovely Jane has set the theme this week and she has chosen “sew mad”, so we would like to see your stitching (either faux or real) – easy peasy right!  I decided to actually try stitching on this card for a change as I always normally do faux stitching with a fine liner, but I didn’t go too mad only a few hand stitched ones!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 154 - sew mad

CCC challenge 154 - sew mad (close up)

I have used an image kindly donated by our sponsor Paper Pretties called ‘tea-time’ and the matching sentiment comes with it too.  I coloured him with my promarkers and I luckily found the cute little chipboard tea-cup in my stash, which was a magazine freebie.  Can you see my little hand stitched cross stitches?  They are either side of the smaller panel lol!  I think they look really cute!!

As I mentioned our sponsor this week is Paper Pretties and they are offering the winner a gorgeous “give thanks Sophia” stamp.

The rest of the design team have created gorgeous cards and projects once again this week so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Stamp with fun #123–DT project

Good morning dear friends.  Thank you to everyone who continued to visit my blog last week and leave me such lovely comments.  It was wonderful to read them on my return from holiday.  We had a brilliant time, the weather was perfect for us (as it was sunny and dry but not too hot) and we all enjoyed our break away.  It’s great to go away but it’s really nice to come back too isn’t it.  I’ve had a hectic weekend catching up with everything so I will try and pop around your blogs sometime this week, as I’m lucky enough to be off work again this week *woohoo*.

This morning we have a brand new challenge for you over at stamp with fun challenge and this week we want to see your “tags”.  Now I don’t make many tags so I really enjoyed this challenge and I’m quite pleased with the finished result.  Here is my tag:

SWF #123 - tags

SWF #123 - tags (close up)

I made my own tag shape from white cardstock and punched the bottom for a bit of extra interest using my MS border punch.  The image is from sugar nellie stamps from the simply sassy range and is called ‘5th avenue’ and I coloured her with my promarkers.   I have bought so many stamps recently from sugar nellie that I thought it was time that I actually started inking them up lol!  The papers are by authentique from the ‘uncommon’ paper pad which I got from Crafty Emma’s store – I only received them on Saturday but I had to use them immediately as they are sooooo gorgeous.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so please pop over and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges:

The sugar bowl challenge – sketch + option lace

A spoonfull of sugar challenge – create a tag

Papertake challenge – anything goes + option metal (my eyelet)

Crafts and me challenge – anything goes

Little darlings challenge – girly

Your next stamp challenge – beautiful borders

Winter wonderland challenge–DT card

Good morning friends.  Well it’s Friday, so that means that it’s the last day of my holiday!  I’m sure you haven’t missed me that much as I’ve scheduled all my posts this week (well as long as they’ve worked lol!).  I’m back this morning as it’s time for a brand new challenge over at winter wonderland challenge and Suzi has set the theme of “white on white” and the only colour allowed is on your image, the rest has to be white!  Now I really struggle with this type of card and I hate photographing them but I suppose a challenge isn’t supposed to be easy!  Anyway here is my card:

WW #13 - white on white

WW #13 - white on white (close up)

I have used one of the new images from Pollycraft called ‘swings & slides – all the trimmings’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I have used 2 embossing folders for the background and a gorgeous sizzix swirl die cut.  I’m gutted that I stuck the image on a little wonky but it was stuck down good and proper so couldn’t get it back off!!

Our sponsor this week is Sassy studio designs and the lucky winner will receive 4 digi images of their choice.

sassy studio designs logo

The rest of the design team have created gorgeous Christmas cards once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.

I will hopefully be able to join in with some challenges when I get back from my holiday later this evening.

I hope you’ve had a really good week and are looking forward to chilling at the weekend.  I’m hoping that my bathroom is finished (or at least almost finished) when I get home!!  Thanks for stopping by today.
