Cupcake craft challenge #142–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again, I’m back to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  The theme this week has been set by the lovely Faye and she has chosen “in the garden”, so we want to see things that you find in the garden.  Now I went down the fantasy route and my thing in the garden is a fairy (well they do live at the bottom of the garden don’t they!).  Here is my card (using one of our sponsors images).  Sorry there are a few pics today:

I tried my hand at making a tent style card and followed a tutorial I found here, although I did cheat a little and used a ready made card inside of two separate pieces of card as they do in the tutorial.  I am really pleased with how it turned out and it was very simple to put together – the hardest part was opening and closing the jump ring lol!  The gorgeous image is by sassy studio designs and is called ‘little honey’s tinkerbell’ and I coloured her with my promarkers.  I added some girly embellishments and voila my card was done!!

Our sponsor this week is sassy studio designs and the lucky winner will receive 4 digi images of their choice and I promise you, you will be spoilt for choice.

We also have a new cupcake joining our team this week – Jane – and to celebrate we have an extra prize up for grabs.  The generous gang at the ribbon girl are offering a stunning twine bundle to one lucky winner – to be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is leave a comment on Jane’s blog.  I am so jealous as it is gorgeous!

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ sponsor and for May that is Crafts U Love and the lucky winner will receive a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

I decided to have a go at a joy-fold card as I’ve seen them around blogland a lot recently.  I have to say I found it really easy to make and will definitely be making more.  I think they look really fun.  I have used a super cute image from Di’s digi downloads called ‘holly Christmas’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I was very late making my card (tut tut I know) so kept the embellishments to a minimum.

Our sponsor this week is pink gem designs and the winner will receive 4 digi images of their choice.

Passion for promarkers #99–DT card

Good morning dear friends, I hope your Monday was good and that today turns out to be even better.  I cannot believe how quickly the weeks are flying by – we’re in the second week of May already, although you wouldn’t guess by the freakish weather we’re having at the moment!  This week over at passion for promarkers challenge I had the honour of setting the theme and as it was my son’s 17th birthday on Sunday I thought it would be quite apt to have ‘for a teenager’ as our challenge this week.  You can make anything you like as long as it’s appropriate for a teenage girl or boy.  Don’t forget you must use your promarkers or aqua markers to be eligible for our prize draw.  Here is the card I made for my son:

PFP challenge 99 - for a teenager

PFP challenge 99 - for a teenager (close up)

My son plays drums in two local bands (with some friends from school) so this image from Kenny K is just perfect for him – and I’m pleased to report that it was well received!!  I distressed all the edges to within an inch of their lives and inked the image panel with a cats eye chalk ink pad.  The papers are a bit of a mish mash but the overall result is ok I think.  The music notes were bought from eBay when I first started crafting!!

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and the lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.
