Krafty Chicks challenge #780 - birthday

Good morning lovely friends. I hope you're all doing ok and having a great week so far. It's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge and this week we are on Week 1; as always the theme is 'birthday' and Leanne is our hostess. It can't get any easier than this week's challenge so we hope you will come over and join in the fun with us.
It was Willow the cat's 4th birthday at the beginning of the week so of course I had to make a card for her!  Like most cats she is in love with cardboard boxes; any size, shape, colour, if we have a box it is soon hers lol!  Of course I decided that I had to make a box card for her, which even if I say so myself, turned out super cute.  There are a few extra photos today as it was really difficult to capture everything.  I hope you like it too.
Here is my box card:

A closer look at the cute kitty image:

Some extra views to capture the details:

I tried to make my own Amazon logo lol!
Here is the crazy kitty which was my inspiration:

I used a die to cut out the box using kraft card as I wanted it to look like cardboard.  The die has a beautiful decorative edge to the flaps but I didn't want that look for this project so simply trimmed that part off with my paper trimmer.  I used double sided tape to secure my box together.  I also die cut 2 of the inside pieces of the box from kraft which supports the box plus allows you to arrange your images and fill up the box.  I stamped all the images onto alcohol marker friendly card, coloured them with Promarkers and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I die cut the letters to spell her name and also the number 4 x 4 times from white card and stacked them up using liquid glue.  I originally was going to put some of the smaller images onto acetate and secure them higher for some extra interest but I didn't really like it so cut the acetate off except for the fish which is still raised a little higher.  I arranged the images where I wanted and adhered them with liquid glue.  I added the name and number onto the front of the box and also added a birthday sentiment onto the front flap.  At the last moment, for a bit of fun, I attempted to draw my own Amazon logo on the side of the box; it's not perfect but it made me chuckle lol!  I think it turned out super cute.

I would like to enter my box card into the following challenges:

Aud Sentiments challenge - any shape (except rectangle) and/or washi tape +s sentiment

AAA Birthday challenge #74 - no stamping

Hello again friends and happy 1st of June; can you believe we are already at the 6 month mark of 2025!!  This year needs to seriously slow down lol!  I'm here today to share my card for this month's AAA Birthday challenge and this month our theme is 'no stamping' which is harder than it sounds!  I hope you will take on our challenge this month and get creating. Our guest designer this month is the lovely Wendy so please pop over to her blog and leave her some love.
I make lots of cards that are purely die cutting or stencilling but they usually involve a stamped sentiment or something stamped so I actually did find this a challenge this month.  I used a new die set and I have to say I'm really happy with the finished result.  I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the die cuts:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by creating my flowers; die cutting them from coloured card from my scraps bin.  For the background I used a piece of white faded gradient paper so that it looked like sky and cut it out with a stitched rectangle die.  I also cut a grass border, using the same die.  The curved edge was made using a die from the same set as the flowers.  I adhered the papers with liquid glue leaving a gap so that I could tuck in my greenery.  I added the leaves with liquid glue and the flowers were adhered on top with foam squares.  I die cut 2 little butterflies from vellum and layered them together with liquid glue, leaving the wings free on the top butterfly.  I die cut the birthday wishes words from white card and the shadows from vellum and adhered them together with liquid glue.  I adhered them to the card panel with liquid glue.  For some dimension and stability I added a few scraps of white card behind my panel and adhered it to my card base with double sided tape.  I finished off with a few tiny white pearls.   For the inside I cut the same stitched rectangle from white card and a grass border again with the curve die and the stitched rectangle and adhered them together with liquid glue.  I cut one more flower and leaves and adhered them with liquid glue.  As I couldn't stamp a sentiment I left it blank until I need to send it out.  The panel was then adhered to the card base with double sided tape.  A really fun card and the tulips are so pretty.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Beautiful Blossoms challenge - anything floral goes optional mood board
Cardz 4 Galz challenge - floral frenzy
Dragonfly Dreams challenge - use one or more butterflies
PINspirational challenge - summer sky inspiration photo
Triple B challenge - use at least one birds, blooms or butterflies optional inspiration photo

The Design Team have created amazing cards as always so please pop over to the blog and check them out and perhaps leave them some love on their personal blogs.

I hope you will be able to join in with the challenge this month but don't forget it has to be birthday themed. I can't wait to see your creations in the linky.

Have a great day.

Scrapping4Fun challenge - GDT card

Hello again friends; I'm back with my second card for today.  I am honoured to be joining the Scrapping4fun challenge this month as a guest designer and their theme couldn't be any easier - 'anything goes'.
I had just received a new die set so decided to use that on my card along with a super cute image set that I've had for quite a while but never used.
Here is my card:
A close up of the cute image:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by stamping the cute fox image onto alcohol marker friendly card and coloured him with Promarkers.  I felt the fox was looking at something so added the teeny butterfly to his right and also coloured that with Promarkers.  I also stamped the sentiment in black ink above the fox.  I die cut the card base from white card and then using the matting dies cut out some kraft card layers and patterned paper layers.  I also die cut my image with the smallest square layer.  I adhered all the layers together with a mix of liquid glue and double sided tape but added the image layer with foam squares.  I decided to add some leaf die cuts to the sides which I cut from white card but then added some orange ink blending for some interest.  I added these with liquid glue.  I finished with some gold sequins.  For the inside I cut the same layers and adhered them together with liquid glue and double sided tape.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  For extra stability I also added the layers to the back of the card (but forgot to take a photo of that).  The card size is a normal A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") so is super cute and I really like the decorative scalloped edge on the bottom.  Expect to see more of these cards in the future lol!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Krafty Chicks challenge #701 - stamps

Hello again friends.  I'm back with my second card for today and I'm sharing my DT card for this week's Krafty Chicks challenge.  We are on Week 1 this week, which is 'Stamps', so want to see some stamping (or digi images) on your creations.
I needed a card for a crafty friend so this was the perfect challenge for me.  My friend loves clouds so had to incorporate them onto her card somewhere.  Here is my card:
and a closer look at the cute dragon:
I also decorated the inside:
I began by stamping the cute dragon image and coloured it with my Promarkers; I used the matching die to cut it out (even though I made a template I found it tricky to line up but it looks ok).   I took a white card panel 4" x 5 1/4" and cut a window in the upper portion using a cloud die.  I used a cloud stencil and stencilled the whole panel with a light blue ink.  I added a piece of acetate behind the window with liquid glue.  I cut a piece of purple card and stamped a sentiment in black ink. I added this to the bottom of the panel with double sided tape.  To make it look more finished I added a thin strip of green card above this with liquid glue.  I didn't want to waste the cloud that I die cut so added it to my background on the left side (and as I had a little bit that I cut off I also decided to add that to the right side for some balance).  I found some old shaker mixes in my drawer so used some clear sparkling sequins in my shaker window.  I added foam tape behind my panel and also around the cloud window.  To enclose the sequins I covered the window with another piece of the purple card.  I then adhered the panel to my card base.  The dragon was added to the card with foam squares just below the shaker window.  I did add a couple of extra sequins as a finishing touch.  For the inside I cut the same size panel and again used the cloud stencil all over.  I also added a panel of purple card and a thin strip of green card.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink.  The panel was added with double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps & More challenge - die cuts and/or stencils (I have both)
Crafty Animals challenge - ATG include an animal (delete if my dragon isn't allowed)

Fall for Wednesdays IG hop - Week 2

Happy Wednesday friends.  I'm back to share week 2 of the Falling for Wednesdays IG hop.  This week's theme is 'fall favourites' so we want to see anything you love doing in the fall (or autumn to us Brits!).

It may not come as any surprise but I am not an outdoorsy person so no pumpkin patches or walking in leaves for me lol!  I decided that my favourite thing to do in autumn in cuddle on the sofa with a nice warm coffee so that is what my card is all about.  I can't wait to see what your favourites are.

Here is my card:

a closer look at the image:

I dug out a really old red rubber stamp and began by stamping the image and colouring it with Promarkers.  I fussy cut it out and put it one side.  I decided to use some patterned paper again today and dug out some patterns that I thought went well with the image.  I went for a dark green card for my mats and adhered them all together with liquid glue.  I die cut a decorative oval from white card and a matching plain oval from the green card and again adhered them with liquid glue.  My image was added with thin foam squares and placed onto the oval.  I found the perfect strip sentiment and stamped it in green ink and die cut it out.  I placed it bottom centre under my oval with thin foam squares.  A few enamel dots to compliment my colours and my card was finished.  A fairly simple card but it looks really pretty in real life.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafters Cafe challenge - colours of the garden

I hope you will pop over to Instagram and check out the hop.  As always please use the hashtag #ffwcardgroup23 to see all the hop participants and for us to find your creations if you want to join in the fun.

Have a lovely day and thank you so much for stopping by.
