Passion for Promarkers #144–DT card

Happy Tuesday dear friends.  Oh dear it’s back to work for me today *groan* but on the plus side it’s a shorter working week *yay*.  Another plus is that it’s time for a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Maya has set the theme and she has chosen “white on white”, such a pretty theme isn’t it.  We only want to see your image coloured, all your papers/card must be white but we will allow lightly inked edges!  The only problem with WOW cards is photographing them (and you know that’s not my strongest area anyway lol!).  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 144 - white on white

PFP challenge 144 - white on white (close up)

I have used a beautiful stamp from Crafts and Me called ‘city girl’ and coloured her with promarkers.  It is a brand new stamp and even though I stamped it about 4 times I couldn’t get a perfect impression.  I even tried blotting the stamp with cellotape to try and remove any residue – any ideas for next time I use it!  I went a bit mad with all the dies I used including Marianne creatables rolled roses, die-namics butterflies and die-namics border die.  The embossing folder is from sizzix and is called ‘folksy fun’.  I inked the edges with a cats eye chalk ink pad and added some white pearls to finish.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a Promarker Stamping Kit.

The rest of the design team have created amazing cards as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the comments you leave for us.

I’m rushing to do the post before work so will add this later!

I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by today.

Stamp with fun #136–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and maybe enjoyed a bonfire night party.  We didn’t have any fireworks this year as my boys didn’t want any but the rest of the community did so we enjoyed theirs instead lol!

I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and this week we have a fantastic sketch by Tina46 to use.  Here is my card:

SWF #136 - sketch

SWF #136 - sketch (close up)

and here is the sketch:

SWF #136 sketch

I have used another image from saturated canary digis (I think I’m addicted to them!) and coloured her with flex markers and promarkers.  The papers are basic grey from the ‘green at heart’ paper pad.  The flowers are punched out, embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder and inked with a chalk ink pad.  I don’t know why my pics look so fuzzy as they looked ok when I edited them – user error once again I’m afraid!!

The rest of the design team have created amazing cards as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a good weekend.  I’m not happy today as I have to go back to work after two week’s holiday – not looking forward to it, although it will be nice to catch up with my all my friends!!  I’m sure it will be fine 5 minutes after I get there but I would rather win the lottery and be able to stay home and craft lol!

I’m here this morning with my card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and this week the lovely Tina has given us a gorgeous sketch to use.  My card was made for an order and is A5 in size.  Here is my card (you may need your sunglasses lol!):

Passion for promarkers #112–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a good Monday – as I’m still off work it was wonderful to have a lie-in and although I didn’t achieve very much it was nice to just “potter” around the house lol!  I’m back this morning as it’s time for a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Anja has set the theme and she has chosen “divas with glam & glitter”, so basically any glamorous ladies are allowed with a bit of a diva streak haha!  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 112 - divas with glam & glitter

PFP challenge 112 - divas with glam & glitter (close up)

I have used a digi image from Karber Digital Images called ‘pet Denny’ and I think she certainly looks like a diva lol!  I cut her and her little doggy out (no mean feat for me I can tell you!!) and added 3d foam to raise her slightly from the oval nestie.  I used papers from the Basic Grey ‘Olivia’ paper pad.  I have a small confession – I was planning on stamping the sentiment in the top right hand corner but accidently dropped the inked up stamp just as I was going to stamp therefore a quick cover up job was needed and the gems were my lifesaver lol!  So not what I was intending to do but it looks ok I think!  Not really happy with the flowers however but they’re stuck down now so it’s too late.

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and the lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Winter wonderland challenge–DT card

Good morning everyone, thank goodness it’s Friday!!  Well I wish the weather would make up it’s mind, one minute it’s gorgeous sunshine and blue skies, the next it’s grey skies and pouring with rain.  I got drenched walking from work to the car park yesterday but at least they are promising a mini heat wave this weekend so that will make a nice change!  It will be nice to catch up with my mountain of washing, boring I know but I’m not a sunbathing type of person, but I think everyone is much happier when the sun is shining.

Anyway onto the reason for your visit – to see a card lol!  Over at the winter wonderland challenge we have a brand new challenge and it’s my turn to choose the theme.  Obviously it has to be a Christmas card but I want to see all your “pretty in pink” creations.  I would like it to be predominantly pink but I don’t mind a hint of other colours.  Here is my card:

WW #11 - pretty in pink

WW #11 - pretty in pink (close up)

I have used a gorgeous image from pollycraft called ‘cherry kisses – warm Christmas’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  The papers are dovecraft from the ‘Christmas fancy’ paper pack.  I think I went a bit overboard with the gems but they do look very sparkly and pretty IRL.

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and the lucky winner will receive a $15.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Passion for promarkers #99–DT card

Good morning dear friends, I hope your Monday was good and that today turns out to be even better.  I cannot believe how quickly the weeks are flying by – we’re in the second week of May already, although you wouldn’t guess by the freakish weather we’re having at the moment!  This week over at passion for promarkers challenge I had the honour of setting the theme and as it was my son’s 17th birthday on Sunday I thought it would be quite apt to have ‘for a teenager’ as our challenge this week.  You can make anything you like as long as it’s appropriate for a teenage girl or boy.  Don’t forget you must use your promarkers or aqua markers to be eligible for our prize draw.  Here is the card I made for my son:

PFP challenge 99 - for a teenager

PFP challenge 99 - for a teenager (close up)

My son plays drums in two local bands (with some friends from school) so this image from Kenny K is just perfect for him – and I’m pleased to report that it was well received!!  I distressed all the edges to within an inch of their lives and inked the image panel with a cats eye chalk ink pad.  The papers are a bit of a mish mash but the overall result is ok I think.  The music notes were bought from eBay when I first started crafting!!

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and the lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Passion for promarkers #74 – DT card

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Well the weather has turned a bit chilly hasn’t it?  I think my winter woollies will be out soon.  Enough of my rambling I’m here today to share with you my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week’s challenge has been set by the lovely Anja and she has chosen “make a pink/white or purple/white Christmas card”.  Don’t forget you must use your promarkers or aqua markers to be eligible for our prize.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 74 - purple or pink & white Christmas

PFP challenge 74 - purple or pink & white Christmas (close up)

Now as I thought most of you would probably go for a pink/white Christmas card I decided to plump for a purple/white one instead and chose this gorgeous LOTV image.  It’s the first time I’ve inked him up but it definitely won’t be the last!  The papers aren’t actually Christmas papers but I thought the dotty paper looked a bit like snow falling :)

Our sponsor this week is whiff of joy stamps and one lucky person will win 1 stamp of their choice.

Whiff of Joy

Cupcake craft challenge - one layer!

Well here we are, week two as a designer for the cupcake craft challenge. This week we were challenged to create a card with only one layer! Now as you know I love my dp and cs so this was really hard for me (in fact I left it until the very last day to make lol)!! Now we were allowed to use one piece of dp as well as the card base but I decided to simply use the card base as my one layer. I stamped my new (well new to me) gorjuss girl image by sugar nellie and coloured her with my pro-markers. I then framed my image by stamping the floral swirl image by inkadinkadoo all around the edge of the card. I coloured the flower heads and leaves with pro-markers and inked the edge of the card with a light brown cat's eye chalk ink pad. I also smudged some of the same ink over the frame for an aged look. Finally I added stickles to the flowers, leaves and the heart in the girl's hair. I did umm and ahh about adding embellishments but I liked the simplistic look of the card so left it as it was. I am really happy with how this card turned out and think maybe I should make more in the same style, what do you think? I would love to see your one-layer creations so if you have time why not join in with the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Mojo sketch challenge #73

Here is my card for this week's mojo monday sketch challenge, which is obviously a sketch (d'oh!). I stamped the elzybells image and lightly coloured it with my pro-markers. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and with the light blue cs I stamped the PM clear stamp image in a contrasting cat's eye chalk ink pad for a subtle background (click on the pic for a closer look). The sentiment is by stamps away and the ribbon is from my stash. Around the image panel I pierced some holes with my pokey tool and added faux stitching with a white gel pen. The adhesive stones are PM. Thanks for looking.

CCT #46/DDCC #34/Charisma cardz #5

Hello, this is my card for three challenges this week. I'm plodding along but struggling to keep up this week, I seem to be making all my cards the night before the challenges end. I need to get my act together. Anywoo this card is for the cute card thursday challenge, which is metallica, the dutch dare card challenge, which is 'love theme but no pink or red' and the charisma cardz challenge is a recipe, 3 papers, 2 flowers and 1 ribbon. I printed off the benji and bex download from pollycraft and coloured the image with my pro-markers, adding highlights with a white gel pen. All the dp is from a pack that I got a while ago from QVC. The sentiment is hero arts and it originally was a square sentiment but I punched it out with my woodware oval punch and lightly coloured it with my cat's eye chalk ink pad (it's not quite as dark IRL). The flowers, brads and ribbon are from my stash and the heart pin is from ebay. I used my fiskars threading water punch on the bottom edge of the patterned dp. I also added some highlights around the card with a white gel pen. Thanks for looking.

Sorry for the 'wonky' pic but I was in a rush to upload it before bedtime LOL!

Whiff of Joy #17/LOTV #17

This is my card for this week's Whiff of Joy challenge, which is a sketch by Donalda and the Lily of the Valley challenge, which is 'men'. I stamped the WOJ Charlie 007 image and coloured him with my pro-markers (adding stickles to his drink). The sentiment is also by WOJ. The dp is all BG from the granola paper pad. The buttons are from my stash although one button was originally cream so I distressed it with a sanding block and added colour with a cat's eye chalk ink pad (it looks orange in the pic but it is actually light brown). I used my fiskars threading water paper punch for the decorative edge on the light brown dp and woodware scallop circle for the dark brown dp in the corner. I'm really pleased with this card, as I really struggle with men's cards usually. Thanks for looking.

PB challenge #31/SCSC #14/Mojo Monday #69

I don't make ATC's very often but I am trying to do them more as they are so quick to make and look great as a topper if you've not got anyone to swap with. I made this ATC for the penny black challenge which this week is 'pink and brown', the secret crafter saturday challenge is 'anything but a card' and the mojo monday challenge is a sketch as usual. I used a penny black stickeroo which is super cute and great for a baby card. The dp is by creative imaginations, the brown cs is bazzill bling and the pink cs is from the papermill shop. The flower brads are from my stash (to be honest as soon as I get my brads, buttons, ribbons etc I open the packets and put them away in organisers so I can rarely remember where I got them from). The scallop circle was punched out with my marvy paper punch. All the edges were inked with a cat's eye chalk ink pad. Sorry for the poor pic but due to the reflection from the stickeroo it was really hard to photograph. Thanks for looking.

Stamp Something challenge

Here is my card for the stamp something challenge, which this week was a sketch. I stamped the three small images (which were freebies from a cardmaking magazine) and coloured them with my pro-markers. The red cs is from the papermill shop and the dp is by craft creations. I actually stamped the red snowflakes (stamp doesn't have a name on it) over the top of the dp to help it match my colour scheme a little better. The sentiment is by elzybells and the adhesive stones are PM. The white card is from my stash and again it was put through the CB using the snowflakes embossing folder. I lightly touched over the top with a red cat's eye chalk inkpad. Thanks for looking.
