Charisma cardz #44–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  It’s time for Team Gem to share their cards over at charisma cardz challenge this week and Joyce has chosen the theme of “cutesy”.  So you make anything you like as long as it includes something cute – easy peasy!!  I was lucky enough to use an image from one of our sponsors – here is my card:

charisma cardz #44 - cutesy

charisma cardz #44 - cutesy (close up)

The image is by pink cat studio and is called ‘Lily hot cocoa’ and I coloured her with both promarkers and flex markers.  I decided to go for another non traditional colour combo of pink and blue and used papers from the ‘Christmas joy’ paper pad by first edition.  I distressed all the edges and added stickles to her “fluffy” bits for a bit of added sparkle.

Our sponsors this week are Pink Cat Studio who are offering one lucky winner 5 digis of their choice and Simon Says Stamp who are offering one lucky winner a $20 voucher to spend in their online store.

The rest of the design team have created gorgeous and super cute cards once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Pile it on challenge – keep warm

Crafty boots challenge – young at heart

The cutie pie challenge – use a charm

Die cut dreams challenge – so charming

Incy wincy designs challenge – dots and stripes

Charisma cardz #40–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you are surviving the dreadful winds and rain we’re having at the moment.  I was drenched just walking from my car to work yesterday – it’s going to be a long winter I think groan!!

On a happier note it’s time for a brand new challenge over at charisma cardz challenge today and I am delighted to have set the theme this week.  As it’s almost halloween I thought I would choose a colour theme of “black and orange”, although you don’t have to make a halloween card unless you want too of course.  Here is my card:

charisma cardz #40 - black & orange

charisma cardz #40 - black & orange (close up)

I have used a super image which was kindly given by our sponsor Pink Cat Studio and she is called ‘Lily witch’ and I coloured her with a mix of promarkers and flex markers.  The dotty paper is echo park from the ‘dots and stripes – candy shoppe collection’ and the borders were created with my martha stewart drippy goo border punch.  The fun ghosts were die cut using a sizzix sizzlit die.

As I mentioned our first sponsor this week is Pink Cat Studio and they are offering one lucky winner 5 digital stamps of their choice and our second sponsor is Simon Says Stamp who are offering one lucky winner a $20.00 gift voucher (excl p&p) to spend in their online store.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

Charisma cardz #28–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you are having a good week so far.  I’ve had a mixed week, it was my birthday on Tuesday and I had a wonderful day and everyone made such a fuss in work and it wasn’t even a special birthday lol!  Also I had so many birthday messages on facebook and here on my blog and I feel so lucky to have such amazing friends as you all.  Of course my dad is still in hospital and he is likely to be in for at least another week.  The preliminary diagnosis is a leaking heart valve, which sounds quite scary, but I’m not sure at the moment if he is going to need surgery or not, the docs need him to have another CT scan first.  The weird thing about it all is that he feels ok and remarkably he’s lost 8lb in 2 days as he is now being treated for his water retention (wish I could lose that much weight in two days lol!).  I will of course keep you all updated and I’ve been passing on your get well messages to him!

Ok, onto my card and today there is a brand new challenge over at charisma cardz challenge.  The lovely Clare has set the theme and she has chosen “it’s in the stars”, so she would like to see some stars on your projects.  I was lucky enough to be able to use an image from one of our sponsors this week and here is my card:

charisma cardz #28 - it's in the stars

charisma cardz #28 - it's in the stars (close up)

The super cute image is ‘Lily the Mermaid’ from Pink Cat Studio and I’ve coloured her with my promarkers.  I’ve used my new x-cut nesting star dies to create the mat behind my image and Lily has two star-fish with her!!  I’ve gone crazy for gingham again but this time went for a monochromatic look.  The paper is wild rose studio from the ‘gorgeous gingham’ paper pack and the plain cardstock is stampin’ up.

We have three sponsors this week, firstly we have Pink Cat Studio and the lucky winner will receive 5 digital stamps of their choice, our second sponsor is Crafty Emma’s store (please check the main challenge blog for details of the prize) and our third sponsor is the stamping boutique and the lucky winner will receive 5 digi’s of their choice.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as usual, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Lexi’s creations challenge – at the beach

Good morning dear friends.  I would like to start today by saying a huge thank you for all your congrats and lovely comments you left me on yesterday’s post.  I am so grateful to have such amazing friends and followers.  Ok, enough of the soppyness, I’d better get on with my post for today haha!

charisma cardz #22 - something that flys

I have used a super cute image from pink cat studio called ‘birds make giant cupcake’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I cut a circle doily into quarters and used two as corner decorations, which unusually for me is a good idea I think!!  I kept the layout fairly simple but I’m quite pleased with the finished result (for once!!).

We have two sponsors this week, firstly we have Simon Says Stamp and they are offering one lucky winner a $20.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

SimonSaysStampBlinkie1

Our second sponsor is pink cat studio, who generously gave me the image I used on my card, and the lucky winner will receive 5 digi images of their choice.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #42 - DT card

This is my DT card this week for the CCC. This week's challenge has been chosen by the lovely Evelina and is "fairies". If you haven't visited Evelina's blog, why not(!), as her work is stunning and her colouring is amazing. Now I've had a very busy week and as a result I left my card until the very last minute to make and because of this I am not entirely 100% happy with it! Anyway onto the card - I used an image by pink cat studio, which was a RAK, and coloured it with promarkers adding highlights to the wings, belt and flower with sakura stardust pens. The dp is all by making memories (yes again, I love it!) and the sentiment was created on the pc. I used a dovecraft punch to cut out the stars and a woodware small circle punch for the "faux" buttons. I used white cotton (from woolworths, sob) to thread through the buttons. The fairyland ticket was a freebie from craft stamper magazine (that was the only reason I bought it lol). The adhesive stones are PM and the brads (in the ticket) are from my stash.
