Charisma cardz #2–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you’ve had a good week so far, although I can’t believe it’s Thursday already!!  I have so much to do this week and I don’t seem to have achieved very much – story of my life at the moment lol!

I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s charisma cardz challenge and Nina has chosen “clean and simple” as her theme this week.  Here is my card:

Charisma cardz #2 - clean and simple

Charisma cardz #2 - clean and simple (close up)

I have used a super cute image from Stamp Fairy called ‘Lenny – thank you’ that I luckily got as a freebie a little while ago.  I coloured him with promarkers and added a pink glittery bubble sticker to his nose for an extra bit of interest.  I paper pierced around the image and then simply matted and layered onto plain cardstock.  Very clean and simple (and I’m not entirely sure if it’s not too clean and simple lol!).  I’m sorry about the poor pics – I tried all ways to get clearer ones but to no avail!

Our sponsor this week is Stamp Fairy and I have to be honest I’m not sure what the prize is……..but if you pop over to the challenge blog there will be full details there!

Good morning everyone.  It’s back to normal today after the Easter holiday *groan* and I’m sure I’ll be having mega trouble getting the boys out of bed this morning!!  Wasn’t the weekend weather gorgeous once again, and I hope you all had a fantastic time, whatever you got up to.

There is a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge today and Vix has chosen the theme of “fit for a princess”, which is very apt since we now have Princess Catherine (aka the Duchess of Cambridge) as a new member of the royal family.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 98 - fit for a princess (close up)

I have used a digi image by the greeting farm called ‘princess Anya’ the paper is from a gorgeous pad by DCWV called ‘nana’s nursery – baby girl’.  The pad is so sweet and some of the papers have glitter already on them, like the cherry paper on the bottom of my card – it looks beautiful IRL.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and the lucky winner will receive one of their gorgeous stamping kits.

Stamp with fun #109–DT card

Hello dear friends, I hope you are enjoying the bank holiday weekend so far.  I know this is an early post from me but I will be posting an extra special cupcake craft challenge post later…..so you must come back and find out the surprise lol!

I am here at this ungodly hour to share my DT card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and this week our theme is ‘ribbon OR lace’.  I had to make a birthday card for my FIL, whose birthday was yesterday, so combined the two!  Now I can assure you that I have added a ribbon but stupidly covered most of it with my buttons lol!  Here is my card:

SWF #109 - ribbon or lace

SWF #109 - ribbon or lace (close up)

I used this fab image from Karen’s doodles called ‘my fix it grandpa’ as my FIL is a keen DIY-er and loves pottering about.  He is a very handy man to know!!  I used very manly colours of blue and brown and kept the embellishments to a minimum.  As I mentioned my barely visible ribbon (which has a star pattern on it) is almost covered with my die cut buttons d’oh!

The rest of the design team have created beautiful samples once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really love to read all the comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Cutie Sunday challenge – spots (on my paper)

I’m back again with another quick post.  I was asked by a friend in work to make a thinking of you card for her friend that had some back news and this is what I came up with:

I thought that this would cheer anyone up as the image is so adorable.

I am entering it into the following challenges:

Susie’s sassy challenge #12 – DT card

Well it’s finally here – the last ever challenge for Susie’s sassy challenge.  Susie has decided that she needs to cut back on her challenge blogs and unfortunately as this one was the last one she set up it’s had the chop!!  I will be so sad to see it go as I’ve had a whale of a time and the girls on the DT are a fab bunch and a pleasure to work with.  I hope you will be able to join in with us for our final challenge and send us off with a bang :)

Our final challenge for the next two week is ‘me and my pets’, so come on dig out all your animal stamps and digi’s and get to work!

SSC #12 - pets

SSC #12 pets (side view)

SSC #12 - pets (close up)

Our sponsor this week is Di’s digi downloads and the DT were lucky enough to be given some of her images to work with!  For my card I used ‘Maisy and Kaboodle, reaching for presents’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I decided as it was the last challenge for us I would try and make something a little different.  After a quick mooch around SCS I thought I’d have a go at making a ‘spring’ card.  Now this is the first time I’ve made one and I have to say I’m quite pleased with how it turned out, although I’ll try and make it a bit bigger next time.  The papers I used are from Inque Boutique and the paper pad is called ‘cabana’.  The flowers were punched out of the papers with my medium and small ek success retro flower punches and the leaves were cut with my L’em punch.  The adhesive glitter dots were from QVC a long time ago and the sentiment is by whiff of joy.

Please snag my blinkie

The lucky winner of this challenge will win 2 digi images from Di’s digi downloads online store – you’ll be spoiled for choice as she has lots of adorable images to choose from.

My card also fits in with the following challenges:

Stamptacular challenge – sugar & spice and everything nice

Incy wincy designs challenge – fancy folds

Pollycraft challenge – anything goes

Sophisticat challenge – raining cats and dogs (cat on my image)

Magical crafts challenge – animal antics

Crafty cardmakers challenge – a challenging challenge

I love promarkers challenge – animals

Stampavie and more challenge – use some green on your project

I hope you can find the time to enter our challenge and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Have a brilliant Thursday.  Thanks for stopping by.

Bee crafty challenge #18

b'day card (5)

b'day card (5) close up

This is my card for the current bee crafty challenge, which is ‘add some sparkle’.  I made for this for my niece’s 16th birthday last Monday.  The image is digital and is by sketching stamper and is called ‘vicki shops’.  I coloured the image with my promarkers.  The gorgeous glittery paper is by DCWV from the glitter stack (and this was my last piece *sob*) and the grid papers is doodlebug.  The flowers are from my stash and the leaves were punched with my L’em punch.  The sentiments were created on the pc (the round one was cut with my nesties and the oval one with my SU oval punches) and the adhesive glittery dots were from QVC.

It was my son’s 13th birthday yesterday (Saturday) and I can’t believe that my baby is now a teenager *yikes*).  We went for a birthday treat of pizza and cinema.  He wanted to see 2012 and it was quite good, although I was a typical girl and cried in all the sad bits!!  Here is a picture of my son taken in the summer (he’ll kill me if he sees this).

holiday 2009

I’m also going to enter my card for a spoonfull of sugar challenge as their challenge this week is a colour combo of brown plus either pink or blue.  Obviously I have used pink but there is a bit of orange too so I hope this will still count.  I hope you are all having a fab weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge #65 – DT card

** This is my second post for today – please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card **

CCC challenge 65 - snow much fun

CCC challenge 65 - snow much fun (close up)

It’s Monday so that means a new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge.  This week Donna has given us the theme of ‘snow much fun’ and for my card I used an image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Becky at Christmas’.  I coloured the image with my promarkers and added flower soft in polar white to resemble the snow.  Now I know Becky wouldn’t really be standing in the snow with her socks on but for the sake of my card she’s a rebel!!  The gorgeous paper is K & Co (not sure of the name) and the shimmery card is bazzill bling.  I used my MS doily lace punch for the decorative edge and my MS arctic snowflake punch.  The ‘JOY’ letters are by Amanda Blu and I got them from QVC- aren’t they lush?  A very girly card but I love it :)

Our sponsor this week is Digital Delights by Louby Loo and the winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.  They have some gorgeous digi images, so even if you don’t win you should check them out :)

Digital Delights Header

The rest of the DT have worked their magic once again and have come up with some gorgeous cards, please go and take a look if you have the time.  I can’t wait to see what you make this week and look forward to visiting your blogs.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for Promarkers #10 – DT card

PFP challenge 10 - pastel pink & cool aqua

PFP challenge 10 - pastel pink & cool aqua (close up)

Welcome to week 10 over at Passion for Promarkers.  I’m extremely late posting my card as I thought I’d scheduled the post but unfortunately I must have had short-term memory and dreamt it up lol!  This week’s challenge was chosen by Maria and the colour combo is Cool Aqua and Pastel Pink along with a sketch, which you must use.  I decided to use my new Greeting Farm image called ‘hula anya’ and I coloured her with the following promarkers:

Dress – Cool Aqua, blender and pastel blue

Hair – Cinnamon and cocoa

Skin – Ivory, blush and pastel pink

Flowers – Pastel pink and blender

I also outlined the image with the cool aqua marker.

The papers are all DCWV from ‘the stack’ a 12x12 paper pad I got recently from QVC and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The decorative edge was cut with my new martha stewart simple scallop punch and the ribbon, flower, brad and buttons are all from my stash.  The sentiment is craftwork cards and the oval was cut with my SU oval punch.

Our challenge this week is sponsored by Daisy May Designs and one lucky crafter will win 5 sheets of downloads from their online shop.

daisymaydesigns3If you haven’t already please do check out the DT cards this week, the team have outdone themselves once again.  I look forward to visiting all your blogs and seeing your gorgeous creations.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Cupcake Craft challenge #50 – DT card

CCC challenge 50 - pink, green & brown (with animals and flowers)

CCC challenge 50 - close up

The cupcake craft challenge this week was chosen by Stephanie and the challenge was to use pink, green and brown with animals and flowers. When I first read the challenge I thought it was a lot to fit into one card but actually once I started making it everything seemed to fit together nicely. I used my new adorable GF image called ‘snuggle’ and coloured her with promarkers. I used gorgeous paper by DCWV which is from a 12x12 paper pad called ‘the stack’ which I got recently from QVC and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I’m so excited as I recently got myself some martha stewart punches (I know way behind everyone else as usual but I’m happy now) and I punched the decorative edge of the brown cs and paper with the ms embossed zigzag edge punch. I decided to have a go at colouring my flowers, ribbon and adhesive stones with my promarkers (after seeing such a fantastic tutorial over at passion for promarkers last week) and I’m really happy with the results. The ribbon is Anita’s, the flowers are from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM. The spacers are from ebay and the pearl brads are also PM. I hope you will check out the DT cards at CCC this week as they are all stunning and I look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your wonderful creations. Thanks for stopping by today.

Stamps & Smiles #24/Secret Crafter #41

b'day card (24)

This is my card for two challenges this week.  Stamps and smiles is a sketch, as usual, and the secret crafter challenge is ‘spots and stripes’.  I had to make a card for a lady at work so decided to combine these themes into my card.  The image and small sentiment is by stamping up from the ‘cheers to you’ set (which I ordered from Jules) and I coloured my image with promarkers and a white gel pen.  The patterned papers are by imaginisce and the plain brown paper is from a paper pack I got from QVC.  The sentiment is hero arts and the adhesive stone stars are PM.  I really like the simplicity of this card and I think it’s perfect for a man.  Thanks for stopping by today.

DU2DS #3/Sketch saturday #47

This week's dare you to digi stamp challenge is 'pink and green' and the sketch saturday challenge is a fab sketch. I used a digi download from grab-a-doodle-do and coloured her with my pro-markers. The floral dp is BG and the green gingham dp is by craft creations. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the sentiment is stamping bella. The circle was cut with my new nestie and run through the CB with the swiss dots embossing folder. The flowers are from my amazing candy from Sally-Ann and the adhesive dot is from QVC. The pink candy dots are pebbles inc. The decorative edge on the pink cs was cut with my fiskars threading water paper punch. Thanks for stopping by.

Sketch & Stash #7

This is another card I made for an order but I also used the lovely sketch from this week's sketch & stash challenge. I used my new stamping bella image 'beerafella' and coloured him with my pro-markers. The gorgeous dp is BG from the archaic paper pad and the plain brown dp is from a paper pad I got from QVC. The sentiment was created on the pc and the star was punched out with an x-cut punch. The circle was cut out with a SU punch and the button is from my stash. I really like this card and so did the recipient, thankfully. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you're all enjoying your easter weekend and haven't eaten too much chocolate yet haha!

Gorjuss birthday!

Firstly apologies for the very 'wonky' photo. No I was not drunk when I took the pic, it just happened that way haha! I made this card (A4 in size) for a very special order in work. The lady that ordered it is terminally ill and she wanted a card for her grand-daughter. I felt very pressurised to make a really fantastic card and thankfully she did love it - 'phew'!! I stamped three miss anya images (the greeting farm from dies to die for) and coloured them with my pro-markers. The die cut panels were a RAK, but I think they were cut with nesties. I added highlights to my images with a sakura stardust pen. The dp is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive dots are from QVC. The gingham bows are from ideal world. I used an x-cut paper punch to cut out the flowers (2 sizes) and added an adhesive dot the centre. Thanks for stopping by.
