Passion for promarkers #120–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I trust you all had a good Monday – mine went in a flash as work was manic – but that’s much better than it dragging though lol!

I’m here this morning with my card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Anja has set the theme and she has chosen “altered but not square”, so dig out all your jars, bottles etc and get altering.  I decided to alter a hair gel container and here is my creation:

PFP challenge 120 - altered but not square

PFP challenge 120 - altered but not square (side view)

PFP challenge 120 - altered but not square (above view)

Sorry for all the pictures but I found it quite difficult to photograph well.  I have used a super cute digi image from the greeting farm called ‘cupcake Anya’ and coloured her with a mix of promarkers and flex markers.  The paper is from my stash and the kraft cardstock is from elzybells.  The lace and flowers are from wild orchid crafts.

Our sponsor this week is Joanna sheen and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Cupcake craft challenge #157–DT project

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again dear friends.  I’m back to share with you my DT project for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week I have the honour of choosing the theme and I decided to go for something completely out of my comfort zone and so my theme is “alter it”.  I want you to take something plain and boring and turn it into something beautiful lol!

I found a plain 6x6 piece of chipboard that came in the back of a paper pad and decided to make something out of that.  Here is the finished project – a stylish shopping list that you can put on your fridge:

CCC challenge 157 - alter it!

CCC challenge 157 - alter it! (close up)

CCC challenge 157 - alter it! (before)

I used a very apt image from whiff of joy stamps called ‘shopping Willow’ and I coloured her with promarkers.  I cut her out and added 3d foam to raise her from the paper.  The papers are echo park from the ‘springtime’ paper pad and the flowers from wild orchid crafts.  I also altered the plain notepad and pencil by covering them with patterned paper and the pink seam binding was actually white but I altered it with an ink pad.  So that it will go onto the fridge I added some sticky metallic to the back of the chipboard piece (the same stuff that you can use to store your nesties safely in place).

Our sponsor this week is pink gem designs and they are offering one lucky winner 4 digi images from their online store.

PinkGemDesignsBlogBannerNEW

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ sponsors, and for August we have 3 as it is our birthday month.  Firstly we have Crafts U Love who are offering a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store, secondly we have Mo’s Digital Pencil who are offering a $10.00 gift code to use in their online store and thirdly we have Sew Sweet who are offering a £10.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.  So definitely lots of yummy reasons to play along this month.

The rest of the design team have created gorgeous projects as usual, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my project into the following challenges:

Addicted to stamps challenge – photo inspiration

Stamptacular challenge – DIVAtacular

Creative craft challenge – anything but a card

Truly scrumptious challenge – rocked up pink

Dutch dare challenge – anything but a card

Paper crafting journey challenge – anything goes

Sew many cards challenge – edge punches

Digi doodle guest DT card

Oh dear I am soooo late posting my card for the digi doodle challenge – not a good start to my guest designer stint :(  I did actually schedule my post but somehow it has disappeared (now it was probably my fault as I’m not very technologically minded, as my buddy Gina will confirm).

Onto the challenge for this week.  We would like you to “tie it up” you can use anything you like on your cards as long as we can see something tied on it, be it ribbon, twine, raffia – whatever you like.

For my card I used a gorgeous image from the digi doodle shop called “pansies” and as I had the unfortunate task of making a sympathy card for a lady at work I thought this image would be the perfect choice.

Digi doodle challenge - tie it up

Digi doodle challenge - tie it up (close up)

For my tying I used some pretty ribbon that I found in my stash and wrapped it around my image panel a few times before tying it in the bow.  I used a fairly soft colour scheme and a simple sentiment and my card was done.  I am really pleased with the result though.

The rest of the DT have created some wonderful samples for your inspiration, so please pop over and take a look.  I hope you will have time to take part as I would love to come and take a look at your cards.

I am also entering my card into the following challenges:

Pollycraft challenge – ribbon and bling (pearls and stickles)

A spoonfull of sugar challenge – floral delight

Alphabet challenge – F is for flowers

The townscrapper challenge – use scraps

Simon says stamp challenge – recipe – 1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellishments (ribbon, pearls and butterfly)

I hope you are having a great week so far, can’t believe its Friday already tomorrow (but so glad too).  Before I go I just want to wish my dad a very happy birthday for today – he’s doing really well after his knee surgery and is walking around on his crutches without any trouble now.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Stamp with fun #49 – DT card

SWF #49 - spring

SWF #49 - spring (close up)

Hello and welcome to a brand new week (don’t the weekends just go by too fast).  For our brand new challenge over at stamp with fun challenge our theme is spring.  For my card I used a glorious image by Mo Manning called ‘Mary tapping’ and she seems to be jumping for joy ‘cos spring has sprung.  I coloured the image with promarkers and used the blender to bleach out some of the colour on her skirt.  The papers are K & Co from the sparkly sweet paper pad and the plain card is SU.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU circle punches.  The yellow ribbon is dovecraft and the dotty ribbon is american crafts.  The adhesive stones are from my stash and I paper pricked the corner of the image panel with my pokey tool.  The butterfly was cut with my MS punch and the decorative edge was created with my fiskars threading water punch.

We are sponsored this week by Kreativart and the prize is this gorgeous K & Co paper pad.

Stamp with fun #40 – DT card

SWF #40 sketch

SWF #40 - sketch

SWF #40 - sketch (close up)

This week’s challenge over at Stamp with Fun is a fab sketch by Bea.  For my card I used an image by TGF which was a RAK from Tracy at Dies to Die For (thanks so much Tracy) and I coloured it with my promarkers.  The gorgeous papers are BG from the nook & pantry paper pad (which I bought with my Christmas money) and the ribbon is from my stash.  I used my fiskars border punch to create the decorative edge.  The sentiment is also a RAK and I cut it apart for a bit of interest in the corner.  I made my lollipop flower with a 1.5” woodware circle punch, 1” SU circle punch and a woodware starburst punch.  The gem brads are from my stash.

Bea is sponsoring us this week and she is offering one lucky winner a voucher for 15 Euros at Megahobby.

I hope you can check out the rest of the DT cards as they are all so beautiful.  I can’t wait to see what you create this week and look forward to visiting your blogs.

Don’t forget to call back later to see my cupcake craft challenge card.  Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp with fun #39 – DT card

SWF #39 - Happy New Year

SWF #39 - Happy New Year (close up)

Hello everyone, I hope you’ve all recovered from the festivities and were all lucky enough to get lots of crafting goodies from Santa!  I can’t believe the big day has come and gone so quickly :(  We managed to get to my sister’s house for Christmas dinner and boy was it worth the effort – we had a three course meal and it was absolutely gorgeous.  It was just so lovely to spend some quality time with my sister and her family and my parents, I haven’t laughed so much for ages :)  I want to say a BIG thank you to everyone that sent me handmade Christmas cards, I can’t believe how many I received and I’m so touched by your kindness.

Onto my card which is for the Stamp with Fun challenge and the theme this week is ‘Happy New Year’; a nice, simple one for you this week!  For my card I used a stamping bella image called ‘winobella’ and coloured her with my promarkers, adding stickles to the glasses, her shoes, necklace and hair band.  The papers and card are all SU and the ribbon is from my stash.  I inked the edges of the papers with a colorbox cat’s eye chalk inkpad in olive pastel and cut the decorative edge with a fiskars border punch.  The swirls were cut with my ek success swirl punch and the adhesive stones are PM.  The sentiment was created on the pc.

The prize up for grabs this week has been donated by tina46 (who is part of the DT) and this is what one lucky winner will receive:

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT cards, as they are all beautiful.  I can’t wait to see what you create and look forward to visiting your blogs.

Penny Black challenge #67

b'day card (18)

I’m so happy to be able to enter the penny black challenge this week as I don’t seem to have entered it for ages.  The theme this week is ‘lace and pearls’.  I stamped the image called ‘duckling’ and coloured it with my promarkers and used my woodware scallop circle punch to cut it out.  The gingham paper is from my stash (no name!) and I used my fiskars border punch to create the lace effect decorative edge.  The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the adhesive pearls are kanban.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval punches.  I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge #56 – DT card

CCC challenge 56 - red, white & blue

CCC challenge 56 - red, white & blue (close up)

This week at the cupcake craft challenge our theme is ‘red, white & blue’.  I decided to use this cute digi image from the greeting farm called ‘birthday boy ian’ but even though he is supposed to be opening his birthday presents I thought he would look just as cute on a christmas card opening his christmas presents!  I coloured the image with my promarkers and cut it out with my circle nesties.  The paper is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The red piece of card was put through the CB with my swiss dots embossing folder and the decorative edge was cut with my fiskars border punch.  The sentiment was a freebie from a craft magazine and was cut out with my SU oval punches.  The adhesives stones are PM and the snowflakes were a RAK.

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and one lucky winner will receive a $20 Gift Voucher.  I hope you will enjoy this week’s challenge and look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous ‘red, white & blue’ creations. Thanks for stopping by.

ASFOS #65/Stamp with fun #21

**** This is my second post for today – please scroll down for my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge ****

b'day card (21)

The challenge over at a spoonfull of sugar this week is ‘travel’ and the stamp with fun challenge is 'at sea' so I thought this card would be perfect! I stamped the PB ‘fishing’ image and coloured it with my promarkers. The papers are all BG from the archaic paper pad and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The circles were cut with my woodware scalloped circle punch and the ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive stones are PM. The decorative edge on the blue panel was cut with fiskars scissors.

I’m sorry I’m keeping you all in suspenders (lol!) but my night was super busy last night so didn’t have chance to announce my blog candy winner. I will definitely be back later to put you all out of your misery! Thanks for stopping by today.

Whiff of Joy challenge #43

b'day card (3)

The whiff of joy challenge this week is a colour challenge and they want us to use brown and pink.  Not too difficult as they are a fab combination.  I stamped the WOJ image ‘confirmand Melinda’ and coloured her with promarkers, adding stickles to her wings.  The paper was a freebie from a craft magazine and the brown cs is bazzill bling (hence the glare – sorry).  The flowers are imaginisce, the spacers are from the hobby house and the pearl brads are PM.  The ric-rac ribbon is from my stash and the large sentiment was created on the pc.  The smaller sentiment is SU from oval all set and I used the matching SU oval punch to cut it out.  The decorative edge was cut with my fiskars scissors.  Apologies for the terrible photo but it was really difficult to get a good one.  Thanks for stopping by.

Papertake challenge/Creative Card Crew #20

christening card

The papertake challenge this week is a ‘take your pick colour combi’ and we can take our pick from the following colours - pink, black, white, yellow, green, grey and lilac.  The challenge explained that we can use as many or as few colours as we like with skin/hair colours as extra colours.  The creative card crew challenge asked for ‘polka dots’.  My colour combo is pink and white and I made this card for a lady as work who was going to a christening.  I stamped the forever friends image and coloured it with my promarkers.  The papers, flowers and ribbon are from my stash.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive stones are PM.  The gorgeous teddy charm was a RAK.  I cut the decorative edge on the dotty paper with a pair of fiskars scallop scissors.  Well the weather here is the complete opposite of yesterday’s – torrential rain – yuk!.  Hope you are having a good day whatever you’re up to.  Thanks for stopping by.

Dutch Dare #56

b'day card (26)

The dutch dare challenge this week is ‘use cutting dies and/or punches’ so I came up with this card.  I stamped the greeting farm image and coloured it with my promarkers.  The dp is doodlebug and the green cs (which I put through the CB with the divine swirls folder) is from the papermill shop.  The yellow cs is from my stash and I cut the decorative edge with my fiskars border punch.  The flowers were cut out with my ek success retro flower punches (small and medium) and the swirl was cut with my sizzix die.  The ribbon is from my stash and the adhesive pearls are kanban.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the ovals were cut with my SU punches.  I faux stitched around the edges with a black fineliner pen.  It’s absolutely pouring with rain here so I will be tucked up inside crafting today *yay*.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Here’s Bernard……

Bernard digistamp boutique

Bernard (close up)

This is one of Sally-Ann’s new downloads over at DigiStamp Boutique and he’s called Bernard.  There are three different images available and this one is called ‘what’s that noise’.  When you get this particular download your image won’t have the musical notes as I drew them on myself (quite pleased with that lol!).  The three Bernard images are the Offer of the Month over at DigiStamp Boutique this month so go here to check them out.  Onto my card………. I coloured the image with my promarkers and as I mentioned drew the musical notes above the birdie.  The sparkly cs is from my stash and the spotty dp is by buzzcraft.  The ribbon is from my stash (very pleased with my bow too as I’m usually useless with them) and the decorative edges are cut with my new fiskars border punch.  The sentiment is also DigiStamp Boutique.

I’m also going to enter this card at Bee Crafty as their current challenge is ‘things with wings’ (you don’t have to use a bee crafty image but you do have to include something digital i.e. image or papers).

Thanks for stopping by today.  Only one more sleep until my birthday *yay*.

6 challenges in one!

cards2 002

b'day card (24) close up

I was on a roll with this card and I managed to fit in 6 challenges (a first for me woohoo!). The challenges are:

Pile it On – 3 different embellishments

Stamp with us – card for a child

Secret Crafter – 3 ribbons

Creative Card Crew – ribbons

Pollycraft – to the point - arrows (incidentally they have now changed their rules so if you don't have a pollycraft image you can still enter their challenges!

One Stop Craft Challenge – stars and stripes

I used a digi image called ‘skateboard Josh’ from DigiStamp Boutique and coloured it with my promarkers. The striped paper, ribbons, sentiment and ovals behind it are all SU. The plain cs and buttons are from my stash and I used my CB embossing folders on the cs (swiss dots on the blue and diamond plate on the red). The decorative edge was cut with my fiskars border punch and the arrows were cut out of the paper. The two small stars are adhesive stones by PM. I’m really happy with this card and was worried it would look too overloaded but I think it’s ok, let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by today.
