Feeling sorry for myself…..!

I am feeling sorry for myself at the moment as I’m full up with a cold.  My wonderful husband has been looking after me and I haven’t had to do anything for the last 2 days….he is so good to me.  My DS1 is also ill today so we’ve been keeping each other company and comparing ailments lol!

Anyway I do have a card to show you tonight and it fits in with 4 challenges woohoo!  The dutch dare challenge this week is ‘a recipe’, sketch saturday is a brilliant sketch (although I did rotate it), creative card crew is ‘scallops’ and a new challenge that I’ve just discovered is kraftin’ kimmie stamps challenge and their first challenge is ‘birthday’.  I used a gorjuss girl image sent to me by Gina and coloured it with my promarkers.  I added highlights with a white gel pen and cut it out with my rectangle nesties.  The papers are all BG and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The ribbon is making memories and the sentiment was created on the pc.  The flowers are cut with my ek success (med & small) retro flower punches.  The adhesive stones are PM and the cute little buttons are from my stash.  I hope you are all well out there is blog-land.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Dutch dare challenge #59

 anniversary card (5)

anniversary card (5) close up

This week’s challenge over at dutch dare is a sketch and this is my entry.  I had to make an anniversary card for my sister-in-law & her husband and I thought this digital image by the greeting farm was perfect.  I coloured the image with my promarkers adding highlights with a white gel pen.  The paper is also digital (see my post here for the link to buy) and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The purple flower is from my stash and the black flower was punched with my ek success medium retro flower punch.  The adhesive stones are PM and the ribbon is anita’s.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with SU oval punches.   I hope you’ve all enjoyed the dry, mild weather we’ve had this weekend, fingers crossed that it lasts a little longer!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Dutch Dare #56

b'day card (26)

The dutch dare challenge this week is ‘use cutting dies and/or punches’ so I came up with this card.  I stamped the greeting farm image and coloured it with my promarkers.  The dp is doodlebug and the green cs (which I put through the CB with the divine swirls folder) is from the papermill shop.  The yellow cs is from my stash and I cut the decorative edge with my fiskars border punch.  The flowers were cut out with my ek success retro flower punches (small and medium) and the swirl was cut with my sizzix die.  The ribbon is from my stash and the adhesive pearls are kanban.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the ovals were cut with my SU punches.  I faux stitched around the edges with a black fineliner pen.  It’s absolutely pouring with rain here so I will be tucked up inside crafting today *yay*.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Dutch Dare challenge #49

This is my entry for this week's dutch dare challenge, which is 'bling-bling/glitter'. I used a download by Sally-Ann from DigiStamp Boutique called 'love birds' and coloured it with my promarkers, adding highlights with sakura stardust pens. The dp is a freebie from a craft magazine and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The ribbon is from my stash and the buttons are from a dovecraft embellishment kit. Thanks for stopping by.

Dutch Dare #48

This is a card I made for an order at work but it also fits the challenge over at dutch dare this week, which is blue, white + 1 colour. I stamped the stamping bella image 'emmybella' and coloured her with promarkers. The dp is BG from the boxer paper pad and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The silk flowers and ribbon are from my stash and the smaller flowers were punched out with my ek success punch. The adhesive stones are PM and the scalloped edge was cut with fiskars decorative scissors. The sentiment is stampendous. Thanks for stopping by.

LOTV #24/Dutch Dare #42/Stamp Something/OCCC

This card was made as part of a set of 12 I made for my boss at work. They all used the same basic ingredients and layout, just a variety of images. This image is elzybells and is coloured with my trusty pro-markers. The dp is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The adhesive gems are PM and the sentiment is PB. As Easter is almost upon us this card fits the bill for 4 challenges this week - lily of the valley, dutch dare, stamp something and our creative corner, which are all asking for an Easter card or project. I'll be back later with another card but until then, thanks for stopping by.

Penny black #39/OSCC #19/Dutch dare #39

Here I go again combining challenges again! Even though I've been off work for 4 days I've been out and about with my mum and friends as I don't normally have a chance when I'm working. It's been great I've been shopping to Cardiff and Ikea, and for coffee and a chat with friends from work and of course a little craft shopping along the way haha. Anyway onto the card, I'm entering this one for the penny black challenge this week, which is a recipe '3 brads, 2 ribbons and 1 flower', the OSCC is 'sorry' and coincidentally the dutch dare challenge is 'sorry I forgot'. I stamped my new penny black 'roses on the run' image and coloured it with my pro-markers, adding stickles to the roses. The dp is 3 bugs in a rug (and I've used both sides for this card). The 2 pieces of ric-rac ribbon, brads and flower are from my stash and the sentiment was created on the pc. I even dug out my liquid pearls for a change and added some dots around the place. I hope you like, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by.

Dutch dare # 37/CCT #49/Charisma cardz # 8

I've combined challenges yet again otherwise I would be out of time. This is my card for the dutch dare challenge, which is a sketch by Cathy, cute card thursday, which is 'animal magic' and charisma cardz, which is 'animals'. I stamped the WOJ mouse image and coloured him with my pro-markers. The dp is BG and all from the cupcake paper pad. The spotty brads are from my stash and the sentiment is SU from the crazy for cupcakes stamp set. I'm not too sure about this card, I think it's a bit too busy. Thanks for looking.

Dutch Dare #36/Sketch Saturday #39

This is my card for this week's dutch dare challenge, which is 'green & yellow' and the sketch saturday challenge (which is a sketch haha!). I stamped my gorgeous new sugar nellie 'chick-a-dee' image and coloured her with my pro-markers, adding highlights with a sakura stardust pen and white gel pen. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the glitter dp is from the glitter stack by DCWV. The buttons are doodlebug and the sentiment is PB. I cut the decorative edge with my fiskars scissors. I love how bright and cheery this card is especially as today it's gray and dreary here LOL! Have a great evening. Thanks for looking.

CCT #46/DDCC #34/Charisma cardz #5

Hello, this is my card for three challenges this week. I'm plodding along but struggling to keep up this week, I seem to be making all my cards the night before the challenges end. I need to get my act together. Anywoo this card is for the cute card thursday challenge, which is metallica, the dutch dare card challenge, which is 'love theme but no pink or red' and the charisma cardz challenge is a recipe, 3 papers, 2 flowers and 1 ribbon. I printed off the benji and bex download from pollycraft and coloured the image with my pro-markers, adding highlights with a white gel pen. All the dp is from a pack that I got a while ago from QVC. The sentiment is hero arts and it originally was a square sentiment but I punched it out with my woodware oval punch and lightly coloured it with my cat's eye chalk ink pad (it's not quite as dark IRL). The flowers, brads and ribbon are from my stash and the heart pin is from ebay. I used my fiskars threading water punch on the bottom edge of the patterned dp. I also added some highlights around the card with a white gel pen. Thanks for looking.

Sorry for the 'wonky' pic but I was in a rush to upload it before bedtime LOL!

Dutch Dare challenge #33

This week's DDCC is to make a thank you card and as it turned out I needed to make one for my great aunt, so great timing. I used dp by cosmo cricket and cs from the papermill shop. The flower was punched twice with my woodware paper punch and stuck together and I used a small piece of pink cs for the centre. I also added stickles to the centre for some bling. The buttons are from my stash and the sentiment is by elusive images. I also used my fiskars threading water punch on the edge of the pink cs. I used Taylors sketch from a few week's ago as the basis for my card. Thanks for looking.

This is my entry for this week's sketch saturday challenge which is obviously a sketch and the dutch dare challenge which is 'green, blue and brown'. I stamped the CC designs image and coloured him with my pro-markers. The plain dp is from a paper pack from QVC, the brown cs is bazzill bling, the blue dotty cs is bazzill swiss dots, the green cs is from the papermill shop and the brown patterned dp is by buzzcraft. The buttons are from my stash and the sentiment is also CC designs. I really liked this sketch and will definitely use it again. Thanks for looking.

Stamp Something/OCCC/Dutch Dare #30/LOTV #13

Again this card covers 4 challenges, I know a lot of you don't like combining challenges but if I didn't I wouldn't get to put a card forward to as many challenges as I like. Anywho this week's stamp something challenge is 'no stamping allowed', the OCC challenge is '2 shades of blue and a neutral colour', the dutch dare challenge is 'at least 3 triangles on your card' and the LOTV challenge is 'anything goes'. I began by printing a copyright free picture from the internet of a bellydancer (customer request) and matted it onto a piece of white card, it's hard to tell but I also highlighted some areas with stickles. The light blue dp is from a paper pad I got ages ago from QVC and the blue spotty dp is bazzill swiss dots. The flowers and brads are from my stash and the sentiments were done on the pc. The white faux stitching was done with a white gel pen. For the triangles I cut 2 scallop squares with my marvy punch and then just cut them in half - simple. Thanks for looking.

Dutch Dare Challenge #28

The dutch dare challenge this week was to follow a sketch. I had to make a card for a friend's birthday so combined the two. I stamped the Anita's image and coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp is by creative imaginations, brown cs is bazzill bling and pink cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment is hero arts and the pearls are by craftybitz. Thanks for looking.
