Stamp with fun #157–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  Another Monday has rolled around too quickly for my liking lol!  I wish we could work 2 days and have a 5 day weekend haha!  I don’t think the government or my bank manager would be very happy with that idea lol!

I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  Our theme this week is a really easy one and we expect lots of gorgeous entries – “favourite colours” – just let us know in your post what your favourite colours are!  Now I know some of you have an aversion to pink but I really like using it so my favourite colours are pink and kraft and here is my card:

SWF #157 - favourite colours

SWF #157 - favourite colours (close up)

I have also used one of my all time favourite sugar nellie stamps image called ‘just a girl’ and I’ve coloured her with promarkers.  I also decided to paper piece her dress for a change.  The pretty papers are from the forever friends ‘new arrival’ 6x6 designstax and the kraft card is from dies to die for.  The lace is from eBay and the butterflies were cut out with a die-namics die.

The rest of the design team have created amazing cards as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

The sugar bowl challenge – sketch and option stripes/plaid

Joanna sheen challenge – for someone special (card is for a friend who is going through a tough time at the moment)

Crafts and me challenge – 3d embellishments

The pixie cottage challenge – sketch and/or paper piecing

CES challenge – paper piece it

Drunken stampers challenge – you’re a krafty one

Totally gorjuss challenge – bling

Penny black and more challenge – oh so cute

Pretty little ribbon shop challenge – to die for

Stamptacular challenge – freebie week

I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and I cannot wait to see what you create.  I’ll be back later with the details of the brand new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge, although I don’t have a card to share this week as it’s the turn of Team B to showcase their work.  Whatever you’re up to today have a wonderful time and thanks for stopping by.

Charisma cardz #8–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my PFP/Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again dear friends.  I’m back with a very late DT card for charisma cardz challenge (I should have posted it last Thursday – what am I like – I’m getting worse I think lol!).  The theme is “masking” and if you’re not sure how to achieve this technique here is a link to a simple tutorial by Beate Johns on SCS, although if I can do it I think most people can haha!.   I decided to use two older stamps from sugar nellie from the gorjuss girls range, which are still firm favourites of mine.  Here is my card:

charisma cardz #8 - masking

charisma cardz #8 - masking (close up)

The images I used are ‘just a girl’ and ‘sitting’ and I coloured them with promarkers and flex markers,  The gorgeous papers are first edition from the ‘hideaway’ paper pad and I coloured the doily with a cats eye chalk ink pad to match my papers.  I added a memory box flourish and some lollipop flowers and I was done.  I really like the sunshine-y feel to this card, especially as they are not colours I would normally use.

Our sponsors this week are Simon Says stamp who are offering a $20.00 voucher to spend in their online store and Pink Cat Studio who are offering a prize of 5 digi images.

The rest of the design team have created amazing cards as always (and Jenni and myself used the same images on our cards lol!).  Please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

The sugar bowl challenge – sketch & option kraft

Critter sketch challenge – buttons, buttons, I love buttons

Incy wincy designs challenge – something old/new (images old, papers new)

Kaboodle challenge – think spring

The pink elephant challenge – let’s see those layers

Simon says stamp challenge – anything goes

Card makin’ mamas challenge – let’s see some green & coloured image

Stamping for the weekend challenge – BINGO (glitter/sparkles, lace – doily, butterflies)

I hope you will be able to join in with our challenge, although you’ll have to be quick as it ends in just over a day!!  I cannot wait to see what you create.  I would like to welcome my newest follower Isa – *waves hello* who left me lovely comments this morning – much appreciated hun and I hope you’ll pop by often.  I may be back later with another card so until then have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by today.

Passion for Promarkers #135–DT card

Well, long time no see lol!  I’m sorry that I haven’t blogged for so long (again) but it’s been really hectic and I’ve seem to be chasing my tail and playing catch up for the last few weeks.  Hopefully once I’ve blogged this week’s DT cards I can get back to normal, well that’s the plan anyway.

I would normally blog my cards in order of the challenges but I’m going to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge first as I want to enter it into the sugar bowl challenge before it ends haha!

This week’s challenge has been set by Maya and she has chosen “grey & purple”.  These have to be your dominant colours (but hair, skin and fur are allowed).  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 135 - grey & purple

PFP challenge 135 - grey & purple

I’ve used an image from Sugar Nellie stamps called ‘domestic goddess’ and coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  The embossed cardstock is actually a light grey but some reason it looks beige in the picks – my usual photography skills at work lol!  The doily started life as a large square but I cut it down on the side and stuck it back together to make a frame for the image – I think it looks quite pretty.

Our sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy stamps and one lucky winner will receive a stamp of their choice.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples so please pop over and check them out.   We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

Crafts and me challenge – use a new image

Frosted designs challenge – ribbon and/or twine

Fussy ‘n’ fancy challenge – polka dots (ribbon)

Stamping for the weekend challenge – embossing

Allsorts challenge – free and easy

Drunken stampers challenge – something new (stamp)

Crafter’s companion challenge – anything goes

Paper pretties challenge – add texture (embossing)

I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  I would like to welcome my newest followers - Sarah Davey and Donna Angliss *waves hello"* – I hope you enjoy your visits to my little part of blogland.

I’ll be back later with another catch up post but until then thanks so much for stopping by.

Stamp with fun #141–DT project

Good morning dear crafters.  I hope you all had a good weekend and I trust the weather calmed down for most of you.  It was lovely here on Saturday but the heavens opened yesterday.  I am so behind with my Christmas preparations – I still haven’t trimmed up and I’ve yet to write any cards – but it will all work out in the end as it always does!!

I’m here this morning with my DT project for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  Our theme this week is “packaging/gift wrapping” and you can make anything you like, it doesn’t have to be for Christmas but it is perfect for any last minute Christmas gifts you may have to make.  As luck would have it I brought home an empty biscuit tin from work last week so it was an ideal opportunity to repurpose it.  Here is my decorated tin:

top view

SWF #141 - packaging (top view)

back view

SWF #141 - packaging (close up)

I decided not to make a Christmas tin but instead made a girly tin as my niece’s birthday is coming up in a week’s time so I thought I could fill it with something yummy for her.  I used a neglected stamp from sugar nellie stamps called ‘gorjuss sitting’ and coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  The pretty paper is cosmo cricket (which is double sided and I used both sides) and the beautiful broderie anglaise lace is from wild orchid crafts

The rest of the design team have created wonderful samples again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my altered tin in the following challenges:

Corrosive challenge – anything except Christmas

Stampin’ sisters in Christ challenge – make a birthday card/project

Divas by design challenge – anything goes (2nd entry)

Flutterby Wednesday challenge – open theme

Cute card Thursday challenge – anything goes

Do you stack up? challenge – something old (my stamp and paper)

Meljen’s challenge – use green

The sugar bowl challenge – sketch & option do something unusual

Fairy tale challenge – gift box or gift i.e. bag

Totally papercrafts challenge – anything but Christmas

Allsorts challenge – it takes two – use 2 colours (pink & green)

Penny black and more challenge – happy birthday (2nd entry)

I will be back later with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge so until then I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Passion for promarkers #127–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I cannot believe how grey and murky it was yesterday – I went to work in the gloomy conditions and when I came home and it looked exactly the same.  I cannot wait for spring to come around again and we get the lighter nights – I know I’m wishing my life away lol!

Anyway onto nicer things – it’s time for a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Michele has set the theme and she has chosen “swirls and sparkles” which is such a lovely combination and so versatile for any occasion.  I decided to make a Christmas card as I still don’t have enough yet!  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 127 - swirls and sparkles

PFP challenge 127 - swirls and sparkles (close up)

I have used a super cute image from sugar nellie stamps called “snow buddies” and I coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  I used my gorgeous new echo park paper pad called ‘winter park’ and it so beautiful.  There is something really “fresh and clean” about blue and white isn’t there and with the pop of red I think it’s a really fun colour scheme.  There is an abundance of stickles on all their “fluffy” bits and sparkly gems too  and the swirls are cut out with an x-cut punch.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive one of their brilliant Promarker Stamping Kits.

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again friends, I’m back as promised with my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Maarit has set the theme and she has chosen “textalicious”, so we want to see all your text papers,  actual pages from books/newspapers or even an image with a book on it.  Here is my card:

I have used a new stamp (for me at least!) from sugar nellie stamps called ‘Jasmine’ and coloured her with flex markers and promarkers.  The gorgeous papers are authentique from the ‘uncommon’ 6x6 bundle collection and the black card is bazzill bling (which I turned over and used the ‘dull’ side).  The grey card is an odd piece I found in my stash – it maybe DCWV!

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and one lucky winner will receive a $20.00 gift certificate to spend in their online store.

Passion for promarkers #123–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I trust you all had a good Monday – mine was great - work whizzed by for me, which is always a good thing.  I had to take my son to the doctors for a routine check up and then called in to see my parents but it was so wet and windy here that as soon as I came home I snuggled in my PJ’s and didn’t set foot outside the door again – a perfect evening in my book lol!  I hope you managed to avoid the terrible downpours we seem to be having at the moment.

As it’s Tuesday it’s time for a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week I had the honour of setting the theme and I chose “for a child” and I don’t mind what you make as long as it’s age appropriate for a child.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 123 - for a child

PFP challenge 123 - for a child (close up)

Now even though it is a baby card I think it can still be classed as a card for a child!!  Well it’s my challenge so I’m accepting baby card entries this week lol!  I made this card for a friend in work who’s daughter has just had her first baby – a little boy named Sonny.  My friend wanted a card that could also be framed as a keepsake and so I bought this adorable sugar nellie stamps digi image especially.  Isn’t it just the most beautiful baby image ever!  Even though it doesn’t look like it’s coloured that much I seemed to tinker with the colouring for ages but I’m quite happy with the finished image. I used both promarkers and flex markers to colour it.  I kept the card relatively flat (in case it was framed) and the layout is fairly uncluttered, which is unusual for me.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive one of their brilliant promarker stamping kits.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so please pop over and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.  Speaking of the design team I would like to send my congratulations to my fellow teamie Emma (and her partner Steve) on the new arrival of their beautiful baby daughter Olivia Roni.  Well done Emma!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

I love promarkers challenge – cute

Let’s craft and create challenge – one for the kids

Hello again friends.  As promised I am back once more to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Rachel has set the theme and she has chosen “buttons & bows” which I’m sure will be a very popular challenge.  I had to make a card for an order so I incorporated the two.  Here is my card:

As you can tell from my card I am still waiting for my ink to be delivered (and I’m starting to get VERY impatient).  I hope it will arrive today or I will be one very unhappy crafter!!  I have used this gorgeous sugar nellie simply sassy image called ‘boho chic’ and coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  The gorgeous papers are first edition from the ‘bird song’ paper pad.

Stamp with fun #132–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a fab weekend, but boy don’t they go by too fast.  I can’t believe it’s time for work already groan!!  However on the positive side it also means it’s time for a brand new challenge over at stamp with fun challenge.  This week we have a wonderful sketch by Tina to work with.  I had been asked by a friend at work to make a card for her daughter’s 21st birthday so I decided to combine the two!  Here is my card:

SWF #132 - sketch

SWF #132 - sketch (close up)

and here is the sketch:

SWF #132 sketch

I have used a gorgeous image by Sugar Nellie stamps from the simply sassy range called ‘retail therapy’ and I coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  The colour scheme was chosen by my friend as her daughter loves these colours.  I have to admit I did struggle to find papers that complimented each other and most of these have been in my stash for years.  It does look much better IRL and my friend was very happy with it!  I recently treated myself to some new magnolia doohickeys dies – the flowers and swirl – and I love them already so expect to see them on all my cards for the next few weeks lol!.  The card is 8 x 8 in size and as it was such a layered sketch I think I worked really well on a larger size card.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

Passion for promarkers #114–DT card

Good morning dear friends, how are you all doing this morning?  Unfortunately by the time you are reading this I will be in work *groan* but hey I have to pay for my crafty goodies somehow lol!  I’m back this morning as it’s time for a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week I have the honour of setting the theme and have chosen “no patterned paper”.  Now as you know I LOVE my papers so I really don’t know what possessed me to pick this theme haha!  Definitely a challenge then and I’m sure lots of you are like me too and love your paper, but if I can do it then you can to!  Don’t forget you must use your promarkers, aqua markers, tria markers, or even flex markers if you’re lucky enough to have them, to be eligible for our prize draw.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 114 - no patterned paper

It wasn’t a deliberate act but I seem to have used another sugar nellie stamps image today and this one is called ‘delicious’ and that cake certainly does look delicious doesn’t it.  She is obviously coloured with promarkers and I’ve just used yellow and kraft cardstock.  The yellow card is embossed with my swiss dots embossing folder and the kraft cardstock has been run through a card ribbler!!  The gorgeous lace is from wild orchid crafts

Our sponsor this week is whiff of joy stamps and the lucky winner will receive one of their newly released stamps called “which direction”.

Cupcake craft challenge #156–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

I’m want to apologise for the lateness of my post.  I scheduled it like I normally do but somehow it disappeared and here I am re-typing it all again!!  Anyway I’m back to share my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and this week the lovely Donna has set the theme and she has chosen “a gift card” i.e. she would like to see a card that is also a gift.  I have to say I really struggled with this challenge, I don’t know why as I’ve made gift cards before but I think I wanted to try something different but couldn’t decide what to do.  In the end I decided to try and make a criss-cross card, which I think turned out ok for a first try.  Here is my card (sorry a few more pics than normal today):

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card

Close up of image:

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card (close up 1)

Outside and inner panel:

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card (inside & out)

Inner panel:

CCC challenge 156 - a gift card (inside)

I seem to have had a sugar rush today as both my cards feature a sugar nellie stamps image.  This card features ‘furry friends’ which is so cute and it’s such a simple image to colour!  I think I will be changing the gift card to a prettier one nearer Christmas but this one was the only one I could lay my hands on when I made the card.  I kept the inside panel quite simple with just a stamped but uncoloured image and cute sentiment and a few snowflakes.  I’ll definitely be trying this style of card again – so thank you Donna for making me try something new!

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo stamps and they are offering one lucky winner a prize of 7 digi images from their online store.

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ sponsors, and for August we have 3 as it is our birthday month.  Firstly we have Crafts U Love who are offering a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store, secondly we have Mo’s Digital Pencil who are offering a $10.00 gift code to use in their online store and thirdly we have Sew Sweet who are offering a £10.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.  So definitely lots of yummy reasons to play along this month.

The rest of the design team have created stunningly gorgeous gift cards, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.
