Cards For All Seasons IG Hop Week 22 - Boo!

Hello again friends; I'm back to share my card for this week's Cards for All Seasons IG hop organised by my lovely friend Kelly. We are now on Week 22 and our theme is 'boo'. Such a fun theme this week and open to lots of interpretation; even if you don't want to make any more Halloween creations you could use Halloween colours instead.  There are going to be so many awesome creations along the hop this week and I can't wait to see what sparks your imagination.
I found some plain white gift bags recently that I've had in my stash for years so I thought, even though I don't have many trick or treaters, why not decorate them to fill with sweets and chocolate (and if I don't have any callers I'm sure my sons and myself will eat the goodies lol!).  I know I've used this stamp set once already this year but it's so super cute and I gave more of the images some love this time around.  I went with the same layout and design on each bag just changed up the images and colours.  There are lots of photos today as I wanted to give each bag its moment in the spotlight haha!  I hope you like them.
Here are the bags all together:
Here is each bag and a close up of the image:

I worked in a production line style as I felt it made everything go faster.  I cut all the pieces of pattern paper, the striped paper is 4 7/8" x 5 1/8" and the strip of paper is 4 7/8" x 1 14".  I also cut black card mat layers for each piece and adhered them together with double sided tape.  I cut 5 of the arches from white card and using the next size up cut a black layer.  Before adhering them together I stamped the spider webs in black ink (although I used second generation stamping on 4 of them as I thought the first one was too dark) and stars in a colour to match the paper.  I did some ink blending around the edges in the same ink colour as the stars and then adhered the arches together with liquid glue.  I stamped and die cut all the images (except for the bats which I die cut from black card) and then coloured them with Promarkers.  I also added some white gelly roll pen highlights.  It was then time to assemble; I added the strip onto the black and white panel with double sided tape, added the arch into the centre with foam tape and placed the images and sentiment onto the arch with foam squares.  I added the bats with liquid glue and also added a string to the spider so he wasn't floating in mid air!  I think they are adorable and if I do have any kiddos at my door on Friday I'm sure they will love them.

I would like to enter my gift bags into the following challenges:

Allsorts challenge - autumn colours
Cardz for Guyz challenge - use orange, black, purple - 1 or more

Patterned Paper Party IG Hop - October

Hello friends; I hope you're having a great start to your week.  I'm back today to share my card for this month's Patterned Paper Party Instagram Hop. Do you love patterned paper? Do you have a huge stash that needs using? Well so do we and it's time to get it used! We will be hopping on the 20th of each month to share our ideas. We will definitely be creating cards, but maybe sometimes tags, ATCs, gift bags, boxes, mini albums and scrapbook pages too. We want our patterned paper to be used.
The theme is always 'anything goes' but each month we will have an optional twist that can be used if you like; this month the twist is Halloween' so grab your patterned papers and have fun. I grabbed this really old paper pad from Authentique that's been in my stash for at least 13 years which I love and tried to use as many of the different papers that I could.  The layout is fairly simple but I think the papers against the black card base really packs a punch.  I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the gorgeous papers:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I choose 4 of the papers and used a rounded stitched rectangle die to cut them out.  I made my card blnck originally to US A6 size (4 1/2" x 6 1/4") but eventually trimmed it down to 6" long as it suited the layout better.  I added the papers with double sided tape making sure the brighter orange papers were opposite each other as I felt it was more pleasing to the eye.  I found the pumpkin image already coloured and die cut (it also had the sentiment attached) so I simply adhered that to the centre of the card with double sided tape.  I didn't add any embellishments as I loved it as it was. For the inside I cut a white panel 4" x 5 3/4" and stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  I also stamped the spider web in the top right corner.  I used a leftover strip of one of the papers at the bottom of the panel and adhered another cute image in the left corner with liquid glue.  The panel was adhered to the card base with double sided tape.  A super cute and fun card.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

A Place to Start challenge - ATG optional twist pump it up for pumpkins
Colorful Options challenge - orange and black
CRAFT challenge - Halloween/ATG
Craft Rocket challenge - autumn/Halloween
Crafty Gals Corner challenge - spooky____ colours/papers

Scrapping4Fun challenge - GDT card

Hello again friends; I'm back with my second card for today.  I am honoured to be joining the Scrapping4fun challenge this month as a guest designer and their theme couldn't be any easier - 'anything goes'.
I had just received a new die set so decided to use that on my card along with a super cute image set that I've had for quite a while but never used.
Here is my card:
A close up of the cute image:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by stamping the cute fox image onto alcohol marker friendly card and coloured him with Promarkers.  I felt the fox was looking at something so added the teeny butterfly to his right and also coloured that with Promarkers.  I also stamped the sentiment in black ink above the fox.  I die cut the card base from white card and then using the matting dies cut out some kraft card layers and patterned paper layers.  I also die cut my image with the smallest square layer.  I adhered all the layers together with a mix of liquid glue and double sided tape but added the image layer with foam squares.  I decided to add some leaf die cuts to the sides which I cut from white card but then added some orange ink blending for some interest.  I added these with liquid glue.  I finished with some gold sequins.  For the inside I cut the same layers and adhered them together with liquid glue and double sided tape.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  For extra stability I also added the layers to the back of the card (but forgot to take a photo of that).  The card size is a normal A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") so is super cute and I really like the decorative scalloped edge on the bottom.  Expect to see more of these cards in the future lol!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Seize the Birthday challenge

Hello friends, I hope you're having a great day.  I was lucky enough to win a recent challenge so I am guest designing (or the surprise guest as they call it) for the Seize the Birthday challenge this week.

The theme for this challenge is 'put your sentiment on a banner'.  I decided to use an image that already included a banner but you could make your own banner or use a banner strip.   I watched a YouTube video by Sam Calcott at Mixed Up Craft and she made a teepee card; it looked really fun so decided to have a go.  It's not 100% perfect but I am really happy with how it turned out.  There are lots of photos to show each side and how it lies flat.  Here is my teepee card:

close up of the adorable image:
This is where you would write your personal message:

and here is the other side:

here is it lying flat:

and here is how it would be in the envelope:

Isn't it just so much fun; I think all my cards will now be like this lol!  All you need is a velcro dot to keep it closed and it will stand up really nicely.  It is simply made with 3 x squares (any size) but I followed Sam's tutorial so mine were 5"x5" and it will fit in a 5"x7" envelope.  You can find the tutorial here.  I just matted and layered some kraft card and very old patterned paper, added my image onto a white circle and finally finished with some gold pearls.  The little butterflies were also from the stamp set.  All the images were coloured with Promarkers.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Little Red Dragon challenge - things that fly (hope my dinky little butterflies are ok)
Allsorts challenge - birthdays or ATG
Aud Sentiments challenge - fun folds and/or summer + a sentiment
Get Creative challenge - more than one fold

I hope you will find time to enter this fun challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

I have used a new stamp (for me at least!) from sugar nellie stamps called ‘Jasmine’ and coloured her with flex markers and promarkers.  The gorgeous papers are authentique from the ‘uncommon’ 6x6 bundle collection and the black card is bazzill bling (which I turned over and used the ‘dull’ side).  The grey card is an odd piece I found in my stash – it maybe DCWV!

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and one lucky winner will receive a $20.00 gift certificate to spend in their online store.

I decided to make boy versions this time and used this adorable image from c.c. designs sugar plums range called ‘mummy Trevor’.  I coloured him with promarkers and flex markers, although he didn’t need too much colouring!  Now I know I’ve used the same papers again, but I especially bought this paper pad for Halloween and I’m determined to get my money’s worth out of it lol!  The pad is by authentique and is called ‘6x6 bundle collection: glowing’ and the baker’s twine is from the pretty little ribbon shop.  I know the chocolate I used isn’t really Halloweeny but it was all I had available for my photos – I will swap it out for something spooky next time I go shopping!
