Stamp with fun #141–DT project

Good morning dear crafters.  I hope you all had a good weekend and I trust the weather calmed down for most of you.  It was lovely here on Saturday but the heavens opened yesterday.  I am so behind with my Christmas preparations – I still haven’t trimmed up and I’ve yet to write any cards – but it will all work out in the end as it always does!!

I’m here this morning with my DT project for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  Our theme this week is “packaging/gift wrapping” and you can make anything you like, it doesn’t have to be for Christmas but it is perfect for any last minute Christmas gifts you may have to make.  As luck would have it I brought home an empty biscuit tin from work last week so it was an ideal opportunity to repurpose it.  Here is my decorated tin:

I decided not to make a Christmas tin but instead made a girly tin as my niece’s birthday is coming up in a week’s time so I thought I could fill it with something yummy for her.  I used a neglected stamp from sugar nellie stamps called ‘gorjuss sitting’ and coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  The pretty paper is cosmo cricket (which is double sided and I used both sides) and the beautiful broderie anglaise lace is from wild orchid crafts

The rest of the design team have created wonderful samples again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my altered tin in the following challenges:

Corrosive challenge – anything except Christmas

Stampin’ sisters in Christ challenge – make a birthday card/project

Divas by design challenge – anything goes (2nd entry)

Flutterby Wednesday challenge – open theme

Cute card Thursday challenge – anything goes

Do you stack up? challenge – something old (my stamp and paper)

Meljen’s challenge – use green

The sugar bowl challenge – sketch & option do something unusual

Fairy tale challenge – gift box or gift i.e. bag

Totally papercrafts challenge – anything but Christmas

Allsorts challenge – it takes two – use 2 colours (pink & green)

Penny black and more challenge – happy birthday (2nd entry)

I will be back later with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge so until then I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Multi-challenge card

Hello and welcome to a very white and snowy South Wales.  This is a picture I took last night before I went to bed of my street (and it was still snowing then).  My poor fiesta was starting to disappear!!  On the upside I couldn’t get to work today so managed a bit of crafting (but not as much as I would have liked as hubby and kids were home too lol!).

12.01.10 (3)

My card today is for a couple of challenges

The Pink Elephant challenge – birthday

Pollycraft Challenge – Winter birthdays

One Stop Craft Challenge – A night at the movies (I’ve gone for Bambi)

b'day card (29)

b'day card (29) close up

I used a gorgeous Sugar Nellie image from the autumn kit and coloured it with my promarkers.  The papers are cosmo cricket from the honey pie range and the plain card is SU.  The decorative edge was cut with my MS doily lace punch and the flowers were cut with my small ek success retro flower punch.  The sentiment is SU from the ‘wow flowers’ stamp set and I used my SU oval punches to cut it out.  The ribbon is dovecraft and the adhesive pearls are from my stash.

I hope you are keeping safe and warm and take care if you’re out and about.  I’ll probably be catching the bus to work tomorrow again (groan).  Please call back tomorrow to see my DT card for the new Susie’s Sassy Challenge.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Digital Tuesday #18/ASFOS #63

retirement card (2)

retirement card (close up)

This card is my entry for this week’s digital tuesday challenge which is ‘bling’ and also the a spoonfull of sugar challenge which is ‘floral fantasy’.  I made this card a little while ago for a friend at work to give to her friend who was a teacher and obviously was retiring.  Now you may wonder why the zebra is on there but that was a personal request and is a private job between the two friends!!  Anyway onto the card.  I used an image by the greeting farm called ‘teacher anya’ and coloured her with my promarkers.  I cut out the apple twice and added the second apple with a foam pad for a 3d effect.  The school books image is a freebie digital image from lindsay weirich and I again coloured the image with my promarkers.  The zebra was a freebie image that I found on google and I just coloured the grass in!  The gorgeous paper is cosmo cricket and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The flowers were cut with the large and medium retro flower punches and the bling is supplied with brads by PM.  The sentiment was created on the pc (and again was a personal request by the lady that ordered the card).  The card size is an A4 (A3 folded in half) although it’s difficult to tell in the pic.  Thanks for stopping by today and for all the lovely comments and interest in my candy.  Keep spreading the word lol!

Digistamp Boutique is now OPEN!

Sally-Ann's new website Digistamp Boutique is now officially open. You can buy all her existing downloads as well as seeing her new images all in one gorgeous place. The card above features one of her images called Lizzie but I will also be showing you some of her new images over the weekend, so stay tuned. Onto the card..... I downloaded the Lizzie image and coloured her with my pro-markers. The gorgeous dp is cosmo cricket and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I used fiskars decorative scissors to cut the scalloped edges and the sentiment was created on the pc. I had a go at making my own distressed flowers, not perfect but really pleased with the final result (they look much nicer IRL honest) and the pearl brads and adhesive stones are PM.

You can also check out the Digistamp Boutique blog to keep up to date on new releases, challenges and competitions. Thanks for stopping by. I hope everyone enjoys their holiday weekend (I know I will - major crafting session planned yay).

Penny black #46

The PB challenge this week is 'anything goes' so I thought it would be an ideal time to show you another Mother's Day card that I hadn't uploaded yet. I stamped the PB 'roses on the run' image (becoming a favourite) and coloured it with my pro-markers and adding stickles to the roses. The dp is gorgeous cosmo cricket and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The flowers are from my stash and the gem brad is PM. The sentiment was created on the pc and I added some doodling around the edges with a black fineliner pen. I used a woodware scalloped circle punch to cut out the image. Thanks for stopping by.

Mother's Day card/PB challenge #41

You'll never believe it - I took my mother's and MIL's cards to them today and then realised I hadn't taken photos of them d'oh. I'll have to call around tomorrow and take a quick pic to show you. Anyway this is a Mother's Day card I made for an order (I made a few so you'll be sick of seeing them by the end of the week haha). I used my new PB image 'roses on the run' and coloured it with my pro-markers, I also add stickles to the roses. The gorgeous dp is cosmo cricket and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I added some doodling around the image and sentiment panels. The flowers are from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment was created on the pc.

More by luck than judgement I've realised that this fits the bill for the PB challenge this week, which is 'doodling' which is fab. I'm really trying to concentrate on my card orders at the moment as I've had so many lately (which is fantastic) that I'm a little over-run. I start to panic and like to take control a bit again. I will try and fit as many as I can in with the challenges but obviously time is a factor too. I will be back later with my card for the cupcake craft challenge (better add mine as I'm a DT member soon lol). Thanks for stopping by.

Charisma cardz challenge #7

This is my entry for this week's charisma cardz challenge, which is 'hugs & cuddles'. I used a ready made holographic box (from tesco) which I really didn't like and covered it with gorgeous dp by cosmo cricket. The image (I think the bear looks like he's cuddling his heart) was a freebie from a craft magazine which I coloured with my pro-markers, adding highlights with a white gel pen. The ribbon is from my stash and the adhesive dots are from QVC. The pics show that I covered the inside too (albeit a little sloppily) and I'm really pleased with the end result - much better than it began (sorry forgot the before photo AGAIN!). Have a great evening. I'll be back later with another card. Thanks for looking.

Bella birthday

I was asked to make this card by a friend of my mother and it is A5 in size (A4 folded in half). I stamped the stamping bella (billboardabella) image and coloured her with my pro-markers (the happy birthday sentiment also comes in the set along with another 4). The gorgeous dp is cosmo cricket (it's double sided) and the plain brown dp is from a paper pack I got from QVC. The flowers and buttons are from my stash and the sentiment was done on the pc. The adhesive stones are kaisercraft. I used a sketch on scs for the stamping bella challenge but unfortunately I used last week's sketch instead of this week's (d'oh!). Thanks for looking.

Penny Black challenge # 34

I made this card for this week's penny black challenge, which was to make a circular card. I struggled with this as I don't own a circle cutter or circle nesties (yet LOL!) but then I remembered I had some red circle cards that I bought for making christmas cards and never used. Anywho I covered the entire card with cosmo cricket dp and added a strip of plain pink cs across the middle. The gorgeous chick image was coloured with my pro-markers and stickles added to the flower centres. I punched out 4 flowers with my x-cut punch and small circles for the centres and again added stickles. The sentiment is also penny black. Sorry the card looks wonky but I think it's just my photography skills (again!!). Thanks for looking.

Dutch Dare challenge #33

This week's DDCC is to make a thank you card and as it turned out I needed to make one for my great aunt, so great timing. I used dp by cosmo cricket and cs from the papermill shop. The flower was punched twice with my woodware paper punch and stuck together and I used a small piece of pink cs for the centre. I also added stickles to the centre for some bling. The buttons are from my stash and the sentiment is by elusive images. I also used my fiskars threading water punch on the edge of the pink cs. I used Taylors sketch from a few week's ago as the basis for my card. Thanks for looking.

My Time To Craft Challenge #42

Hi All, this is my card for this week's MTTC challenge #42 which is 'Easy Elegance'. My Great-Aunt celebrated her 97th birthday yesterday and this was the card I made for her. I stamped the See-D's image and coloured it with my pro-markers. I used gorgeous (and elegant) dp by cosmo cricket (which is double sided, so perfect for colour matching). I punched out 3 circles and 1 scalloped circle with my marvy punches and also used my new blinky marvy paper punch just for added decoration with a brad through the centre. The sentiment was done on my pc. The brown ric-rac ribbon is from my stash. The very small circles were also punched out of the dp for a change from gems which wouldn't really fit with the vintage theme. Thanks for looking.

Secret Crafter challenge (and a large card)

The secret crafter challenge this week is 'paper piecing' and this is my card. I made this card a little while ago for my mother's friend. Her grand-daughter was turning 18 and she wanted a large A4 card. As I've stated previously I will make this size card when asked as a special request but they are not my favourite size (as it is a big surface area to fill). Anywho, onto the card. I stamped the stamping bella image, coloured it with my pro-markers and paper pieced her dress and the cupcake (I also added stickles). The gorgeous dp is cosmo cricket and as it's double sided I used both sides for colour matching. I used my sizzix die to cut swirls out of metallic cs by DCWV and added adhesive stones by PM. The sentiment was done on my pc. The flowers are from my stash.

Bella ballerina

I made this card for my niece's 4th birthday and as she loves ballerina's and dancing I thought this image was ideal. I stamped the stamping bella image, coloured her with my pro-markers and once again paper pieced her dress. The gorgeous dp is cosmo cricket and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The lovely flowers are from my stash and the button is doodlebug (I added extra bling to the button and flowers with stickles). The pearls are craftybitz and the sentiment was done on my pc. A very girly card but really pretty IRL. Thanks for looking.

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas Day and that Santa brought you lots of lovely goodies to play with!

65th birthday

I made this card for a colleague at work who's friend was 65. I stamped the fairy image (which was a freebie from a magazine) and coloured it with my pro-markers, I also added stickles to her wings. I used gorgeous dp by cosmo cricket and bazzill bling cs. The flowers are from my stash and the adhesive stone is PM. The sentiment was done on my pc. I based my sketch on the stamping bella sketch challenge. Thanks for looking.

Papertake Challenge

This is my card for this week's papertake challenge which is a fab sketch by Dawny. The image is by docrafts and I coloured it with my pro-markers. I used plain cs from the papermill shop and the gorgeous dp is cosmo cricket (I'll definitely be getting more of this). The flower is from my stash and the sticky ribbon is PM. The sentiment was done on my pc and the adhesive stone is also PM. Thanks for looking.
