Cupcake craft challenge #179–DT card

Oops another late post from me and I think this is going to be theme for the start of this week – sorry!  I’m seem to be chasing my tail constantly at the moment, but I am trying to get more organised – honest lol!

I’m here to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and this week the lovely Shelly has set the theme and she has chosen “en-twined” so basically she would like you to use twine on your creations – easy right?  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 179 - entwined

CCC challenge 179 - entwined (close up)

The cute image is by Lili of the Valley and is called ‘cheers bear’ which I coloured with my promarkers.  The papers are from the wild rose studio ‘for men’ paper pack and the cardstock is SU real red.  I used red twine from the ribbon girl and the ‘70’ was stamped using a see-d’s stamp set.

We have two sponsors this week – stamp fairy are offering a prize of a $10.00 gift voucher for one lucky winner and the pretty little ribbon shop are offering one lucky winner a whopping 50 metres of baker’s twine.

The rest of the design team have created amazing cards as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

The crafty pad challenge – the letter b (blue, bear, beer, birthday)

Karen’s doodles challengecelebrate

The pixie cottage challenge – sketch and/or red

Passion for promarkers #122–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you are all well and keeping warm and dry in the windy, wet weather we’re having at the moment.  I got soaked last night just putting my rubbish bags/recycling bins out in readiness for collection today.  I really don’t like the winter and am wishing my life away again until Spring lol!

Anyway enough of my waffling!!  I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week Lisa has set the theme and she has chosen “stars”, which can be on your image, papers or even use star embellishments, we don’t mind as long as we can see one star or more.  I was asked to make a card for a friend’s dad who loves golf, so I thought this challenge would be ideal for a masculine card.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 122 - stars

PFP challenge 122 - stars (close up)

By the way I now have ink for my printer *yippee* – that was the longest 5 days of my life, although I did enjoy using rubber stamps that I had forgotten about.  I’m back to digi today as I have used an image from DigiStamp Boutique called “golf James” and coloured him with promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are my mind’s eye from the ‘true blue’ paper pad and the kraft card is by elzybells.  I have used gold star brads as I thought they suited the paper better than my usual silver.

Our sponsor this week is Crafter’s Companion and they are offering a fantastic prize of a £20.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.

I love promarkers challenge – autumnal colours

Charisma cardz challenge #41 – DT card

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all having a great week so far.  I can’t believe it is Thursday already – another week nearly done!!  I’m here to share with you my DT card for this week’s charisma cardz challenge.  Our theme this week has been set by Joanne and she has chosen “more than one fold”.  Now these sort of challenges fill me with dread as I tend to stick to making cards most of the time.  However I have fulfilled the challenge and still made a card – so I’m extra happy :)  You will also be shocked to learn that no promarkers were harmed in the making of my card (I know don’t faint!!).  Here is my card:

charisma challenge #41 - more than one fold In this photo I’ve tried to show you the dimension of my “bauble” charisma challenge #41 - more than one fold (close up 2)

For my “folds” I decided to make a 3D Christmas “bauble” using my scalloped nesties but then as a co-incidence I saw a brilliant tutorial by Kylie on the WOJ tutorial blog showing you how to incorporate one into your card so I decided to have a go at that instead.  Check out the tutorial as its really easy to understand with lots of pics and instructions.

We have two sponsors of our challenge this week.  Our first sponsor is Cutting Cafe and the lucky winner will be able to choose 3 digi sets of their choice.  They have tons of gorgeous sets so you will be spoilt for choice.

Our second sponsor is Donna from Donna’s den of crafts and even though her shop has now closed she has kindly agreed to sponsor us for one last time!

I can also enter my card into the following challenges:

Anything goes challenge – ribbons

Crafty cardmakers challenge – fancy folds

Scrap creations challenge – make it 3D

CCC challenge 67 - gift card holder (back)

This week at cupcake craft challenge our theme was chosen by the extremely talented Kathrin and she asked us to make a ‘gift card holder’.  Kathrin kindly gave us the link to a tutorial to follow just in case we hadn’t made one before.  Now as I hadn’t I decided to follow the instructions (you can see them here).  I used gorgeous double sided paper (well it’s almost card it’s so lush) by imaginisce and the plain paper is making memories.  The sentiment inside is by SU from the sincere salutations set and the to and from stamp is by see d’s.  The cute little tree image on the front is studio g and I coloured the image with promarkers and added stickles to the stars.  The snowflakes are punched out with my MS arctic snowflake punch and the adhesive stones are PM.  The eagle eyed of you out there will notice I used my cooperative membership card instead of a gift card as I was not organised enough to get one *wink*.  I hope you will check out the rest of the DT creations as they are all stunning, and much more impressive than mine lol!  Please excuse the very wonky photo’s – I can assure you that I wasn’t drunk when I took them, I’m just a really bad photographer!!!

Our sponsor this week is soft pencil and the lucky winner will receive a $20.00 gift voucher to spend in their etsy store.  You must check out their gorgeous digital images as they are soooo cute!

I can’t wait to see what you come up this week and look forward to visiting your blogs.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Digital Tuesday #24

congrats card (2)

congrats card (2) close up

Hello and happy Wednesday to you all – half way through the week woohoo! Today I’m showing you this card which I’m entering for this week’s digital Tuesday challenge, which is ‘clean and simple’. The image is called ‘olive’ and is from DigiStamp Boutique and I coloured her with my promarkers. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the strip of dotty paper is SU (I think!). The ribbon is anita’s and the congratulations stamp is from a set by see d’s. The adhesive pearls are PM.

Wow I can’t believe the fantastic response we’ve had (and are still having) for our first ever blog hop over at passion for promarkers. Don’t forget you have until 9pm tomorrow evening (Thursday) to be in with a chance of winning 56 promarkers courtesy of Letraset. Check out the blog for full details. Have a good evening and thanks for stopping by today.

** Edited to Add - oops didn't read the challenge properly - it's suppose to be a clean and simple fall card - oh well **

Another 80th card

Remember a while back I had to make 4 80th birthday cards for the same lady, well this is the last one. To be honest it was 2 in the morning and my mojo was fading fast, so this card isn't as fancy as my usual cards but I like the finished result. I stamped the See D's teapot and cup & saucer and coloured them with pro-markers. The dp is from SU and the sticky ribbon is Anita's. The flower gems are from my stash (had them ages so can't remember where I got them from) and the sentiment was done on my pc. I used my fiskars corner adorner scissors to cut the corners on the image panel. Thanks for looking.

Grand prix girlie

I was asked to make a card for a girlie who is grand prix mad. I found this card particularly hard to make as although I remembered I had the See D's grand prix car stamp I didn't know what colours to use as my brief was that she wasn't a very girlie girl. However I compromised as I thought I couldn't bring myself to make her a dark coloured card it had to light and bright. So I stamped the grand prix car and coloured it with my pro-markers. All plain cs is from the papermill shop and the dp didn't have a name on it. The sentiment was done on my pc and the gems are from the papermill shop. The edging of the pink strip was punched with my fiskars threading water paper punch. I pricked a border around the green panel for added interest. Thanks for looking.

Vintage dress

This is another card that I had to make for my friend's auntie's 80th birthday. I picked the vintage type dress image by See D's and coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp is from SU, as is the circle sentiment, which I added to a flower from my stash. The sentiment was done on my pc and the pink cs is from the papermill shop. I used my fiskars threading water paper punch for the edge of the pink cs. The adhesive stones are PM. A simple card but my friend really liked it, so that's all that matters. Thanks for looking.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar #33/Charisma Cardz challenge #1

This is the card I made for this week's ASFOS challenge #33 which was a sketch. It also fits the bill for Charisma Cardz challenge #1, which is to use pink. I used (again) an image by Leanne Ellis for Sugar Nellie Stamps and coloured her with my pro-markers. I used brown bazzill bling cs and the patterned cs was originally plain gingham from my stash but I randomly stamped the elzybells small flower image all over in sepia versafine ink. The sentiment was done on my pc and the name was done with see-d's alphabet stamps. The flowers with cut with x-cut flower punches in two different sizes and the ric-rac ribbon is from my stash. It's hard to tell because the photo is so dark but I added stickles to the centres of the all the stamped flowers. Thanks for looking.

2009 wall calendar

Every year I make a calendar for my mother for her wall. This year I downloaded a calendar template by Amuse stamps and stamped random images in the corners of the months e.g. for Jan I stamped a See D's image to depict new year and for Oct I stamped the changito image for halloween etc. I won't bore you with all twelve pics but this just shows the finished result, I used my pc for the wording on the front page and used curlz mt font. I used pro-markers on all images and the cs is from DCWV nanna's nursery (boy & girl) paper stacks. I cut holes with my crop-a-dile and used eyelets from the crop-a-dile kit. The bookrings and ribbon are from my stash. Thanks for looking.

My Time To Craft Challenge #42

Hi All, this is my card for this week's MTTC challenge #42 which is 'Easy Elegance'. My Great-Aunt celebrated her 97th birthday yesterday and this was the card I made for her. I stamped the See-D's image and coloured it with my pro-markers. I used gorgeous (and elegant) dp by cosmo cricket (which is double sided, so perfect for colour matching). I punched out 3 circles and 1 scalloped circle with my marvy punches and also used my new blinky marvy paper punch just for added decoration with a brad through the centre. The sentiment was done on my pc. The brown ric-rac ribbon is from my stash. The very small circles were also punched out of the dp for a change from gems which wouldn't really fit with the vintage theme. Thanks for looking.

Crafty Muse Challenge

The crafty muse challenge this week is 'boys will be boys' so I thought this card was ideal. I stamped the inkadinkado image, but the original image had a football and I needed a rugby ball, so I stamped a single See D's rugby ball and stuck it over the top. Doesn't look too bad does it? I coloured the image with my pro-markers and used my pc for the sentiment. The dp by buzzcraft was cut into strips and laid over cs from the papermill shop. I used my dovecraft star punch to cut out the stars. A nice simple card, but I think that is what most men like anyway. Thanks for looking.
