Cupcake craft challenge #181–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend – the weather was so spring like here and looking out the window you would be mistaken for thinking it was April or May, although there was quite a nip in the air.  Can’t complain for the end of February though can we?

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week I have the honour of setting the theme and chose “boys and their toys” which is the complete opposite to Keeley’s girly challenge last week!!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 181 - boys & their toys

CCC challenge 181 - boys & their toys (close up)

I used a super cute image from Pollycraft called ‘skills’ and coloured him with promarkers and flex markers.  The paper is my mind’s eye from the ‘kraft funday’ pad and the black card is from eBay.  All I seem to be making at the moment are cards for boys, but I don’t mind really, as having two boys myself I’m quite used to it lol!

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Emma’s store and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Crafty Emma's store new logo

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as usual, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you always leave for us.

By the way from today the teams over at cupcake have now split into two and I’m with Team A so I’ll only be posting a DT creation once every 2 weeks from now on.  However I’ll still be letting you know each week what the challenge is and I hope you’ll still be able to join in each week.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Dream valley challenge – for men (2nd entry)

Paper sundaes challenge – circles

Little darlings challenge – pearls

My mum’s craft shop challenge – buttons and ribbons

Moving along with the times challenge – lots of layers

Simon says stamp challenge – use 3 papers (it looks like I used 4 but I used both sides of a doubled sided paper – hope this is ok?)

Crafty catz weekly challenge - something beginning with B – boy, black, ball, button

Seems a little sketchy challenge – fab sketch

Stamp, scrap and doodle challenge – manly card

The pretty little ribbon shop challenge – anything goes (2nd entry)

I hope you will be able to join in with my challenge this week and I cannot wait to see what you create.  I would like to welcome my newest followers – Jenny and Mandy – *waves hello* welcome ladies, I hope you like my creations and will visit me often.  I’m running late with my stamp with fun challenge DT card this week but I’ll post it as soon as I can.  Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Passion for Promarkers #137–DT card

Here I am again with a late post but at least I’m actually posting a card this week lol!  Better late than never I suppose.  I hope you’ve all had a good start to the week so far, mine’s been ok, very busy in work but at least the first two days have flown by!  I’m here to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge and this week the lovely Nic has set the theme and she has chosen “black & white”.  However we only want to see the colours black and white apart from skin, hair/fur etc. and obviously you have to use your Letraset pens.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 137 - black & white

PFP challenge 137 - black & white (close up)

I have to say I’m really chuffed with how this card turned out.  The image is from Tickled Pink stamps and I coloured him with all the grey promarkers (his hair is actually using warm grey promarkers but it looks a bit brown in the photo).  I made this card for my nephew who is 23 tomorrow so I didn’t “fuss” it too much.  I added 3 card candi, a button and some twine and that was it.  The papers are a mixture but I think they work quite well together.  The card is A5 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Tickled Pink stamps (who kindly gave all the DT an image to use on our cards this week) and they are offering one lucky winner 2 digi images of their choice.

Cupcake craft challenge #180–DT card

Hello again friends.  Don’t faint, I’m back as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and the lovely Keeley has set the theme and she has chosen “pink fluffy cupcakes”.  So basically we want to see you use pink as the main colour, include something fluffy and at least one cupcake – simples!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 180 - pink fluffy cupcakes

CCC challenge 180 - pink fluffy cupcakes (close up)

I have used a cute image from The Greeting Farm called ‘cupcake Anya’ and coloured her with a mix of promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are papermania from the ‘sweet nothings’ paper pad and the card is SU.  My “fluffy” part is the flower which I die cut out of felt (1 rolled flower and 2 magnolia doohickey flowers glued together).  I got the felt from dies to die for who are now selling 12x12 pieces in lots of gorgeous colours.  I made this card for my mother to give to her friend and it’s A5 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Prairie Fairy and one lucky winner will receive a $10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Cupcake craft challenge #179–DT card

Oops another late post from me and I think this is going to be theme for the start of this week – sorry!  I’m seem to be chasing my tail constantly at the moment, but I am trying to get more organised – honest lol!

I’m here to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and this week the lovely Shelly has set the theme and she has chosen “en-twined” so basically she would like you to use twine on your creations – easy right?  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 179 - entwined

CCC challenge 179 - entwined (close up)

The cute image is by Lili of the Valley and is called ‘cheers bear’ which I coloured with my promarkers.  The papers are from the wild rose studio ‘for men’ paper pack and the cardstock is SU real red.  I used red twine from the ribbon girl and the ‘70’ was stamped using a see-d’s stamp set.

We have two sponsors this week – stamp fairy are offering a prize of a $10.00 gift voucher for one lucky winner and the pretty little ribbon shop are offering one lucky winner a whopping 50 metres of baker’s twine.

I’m doing another catch up post – this time for the cupcake craft challenge.  Our challenge this week is “pink & red” but it doesn’t have to be a Valentine card.  Here is my card:

Passion for promarkers #125–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a good start to the week.  Mine went super fast as it usually does, as Monday is one of our busiest days in work.  Boy wasn’t it chilly though, definitely getting colder in the mornings – I may have to dig out my coat – I’m trying to last it as long as possible as I hate wearing a coat to work!!

Anyway enough of my rambling I’m here this morning with my card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Julie has set the theme and she has chosen ‘kraft + 1 other colour’, you can use a tiny smidge of other colours on your images but the background must be only kraft and your chosen extra colour.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 125 - kraft 1 other

PFP challenge 125 - kraft 1 other (close up)

I have used a brand new image from DigiStamp Boutique from the ‘cute Santa collection’ which is one of 3 ‘offers of the month’ for November and available at a bargain price – so grab it whilst you can at the offer price.  I coloured the cute little Santa with flex markers and promarkers and added flower soft to his hat band and bobble.  The papers are a mix – the gingham paper is a really old piece from a pack I got from Joanna Sheen when I first starting crafting and the holly paper is dovecraft from the ‘back to basic Christmas’ paper pack.  The buttons were cut out using a die-namics die.  The dotty organza ribbon was originally white but I coloured it with my flex marker to match my card.

Our sponsor this week is Some Odd Girl and one lucky winner will receive 3 digi images of their choice from their online store.

Winter wonderland–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you’ve had a good week so far, mine hasn’t been great but I can’t go into details – suffice to say I’ll be glad when it’s over!!  I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s winter wonderland challenge and I have the honour of setting the theme this week.  I decided to challenge myself and choose a theme that is the complete opposite of most of my cards – therefore the theme this week is “clean & simple Christmas card”.  Here is my card:

WW #19 - CAS Christmas card

WW #19 - Christmas card (close up)

I have used a super cute image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Hattie & Buddy’ and coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  I haven’t used any patterned paper only plain cardstock for matting and I crimped the base card for a bit of added interest.  I only added some twine and a punched snowflake and I was done.  I have to say that I really like this card, even though it is so different to my normal cards, but it does look ten times better IRL – honest!

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and one lucky winner will receive a $15.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store (p&p not included).

Stamp with fun #134–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a brilliant weekend, but as I always say on a Monday morning, it went too fast!!  The boys are on their half-term holidays from school this week so at least I can have stress free mornings getting ready for work!  The only drawback with them being home is that they eat everything in sight and make such a mess!!

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and we have a wonderful sketch by Andrea-Emmi41 for you to use.  Firstly here is my card:

SWF #134 - sketch

SWF #134 - sketch (close up)

and here is the sketch:

SWF #134 sketch

This card was made for an order that I had from a lady at work.  She only specified that she needed a 40th wedding anniversary card and that the couple liked dancing.  As soon as I saw this image at Karen’s Doodles shop I knew it would be perfect.  It was a bit touch an go for a while as the shop was down but thankfully it re-opened just in time!  The image is called ‘sweep me off my feet’ and I coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  I used some gorgeous ribbon with tiny hearts on each side but unfortunately I covered most of it up with embellishments lol!

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Winter wonderland challenge–DT project

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you’ve had a brilliant week so far – the weekend is nearly here woohoo!  I can’t believe how quickly this week has flown by – not that I’m complaining of course.

I’m here this morning with my DT project for this week’s winter wonderland challenge.  This week the lovely Suzi has set the theme and she has chosen “robin redbreast” so we want to see all your images featuring robins – simples right !!  I decided to make a door hanger for a change:

WW #18 - robin red breast

WW #18 - robin red breast (close up)

I am still waiting (not very patiently by the way lol!) for my printer ink to be delivered so I had to search through my stamps for a suitable image.  I was super pleased to find this adorable wild rose studio ‘Milton & co ‘ stamp called “Milton & robin” to use.  I coloured the image with a mix of promarkers and flex markers simply added a large ribbon bow and pearls for decoration.  I used my circle nesties to cut out the aperture for the door handle.  I have to say it looks much nicer IRL and I’m quite happy with the finished result – for once haha!

Our sponsors this week are pink gem designs and they are offering 4 digis of the winner’s choice and also squiggle stamps who are offering 2 digis of the winner’s choice.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

Winter wonderland challenge–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  Well I hope you’re enjoying the “indian summer” we’re experiencing at the moment – boy it’s been really hot hasn’t it?  It’s so much nicer than all the rain we’ve been having lately and let’s hope it lasts for the weekend.

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s challenge over at winter wonderland challenge.  This week it’s Squirrel’s turn from Team Marianne to set the theme and she has chosen “how charming”, so we would like to see a charm on your creation somewhere.  Now I have to say I have an aversion to charms as I don’t really know how to attach them properly.  Everyone else seems to use them without much bother but I’m useless however I took the challenge and here is my card:

WW #17 - how charming

WW #17 - how charming (close up)

I have used a newly released super cute image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘sketchy snow person’ and coloured him with promarkers and I added stickles for the glistening snow.  The gorgeous papers are dovecraft from the ‘fancy Christmas’ paper pack and the fantastic sentiment strips are by pink petticoat from the ‘sentiment ribbons’ set.  I added my snowflake charm onto some baker’s twine and tied it around my top layer of patterned paper.

Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps and one lucky winner will receive a $10.00 gift certificate to spend in their online store.

Charisma cardz #35–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you are having a great week so far.  It so helps having a shorter week doesn’t it – I wish I could work 4 days every week (or not at all lol!).

It’s time for a brand new challenge over at charisma cardz challenge and although it’s officially team Carly’s challenge I thought I would play along anyway!!  The challenge is everyone favourite of “anything goes”, so we expect to see lots of gorgeous entries.  Here is my card:

charisma cardz #35 - anything goes

charisma cardz #35 - anything goes (close up)

I was asked to make this card by a friend of my mother’s and it is A5 in size.  I have used the fantastic ‘Paul texting’ image from Mo’s digital pencil and coloured it with my promarkers and flex markers.  Every edge is distressed to within an inch of their lives, which I think really works for a boys card.  I even decorated the inside but I stupidly forgot to take a picture d’oh!!

Our first sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp who are offering a $20 voucher (excl p&p) to one lucky winner and our second sponsor is Pink Cat Studio who are offering 5 digi stamps of the winner’s choice.

Team Carly have done a brilliant job as always (as well as a couple of Team Gem) so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
