Charisma cardz #35–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you are having a great week so far.  It so helps having a shorter week doesn’t it – I wish I could work 4 days every week (or not at all lol!).

It’s time for a brand new challenge over at charisma cardz challenge and although it’s officially team Carly’s challenge I thought I would play along anyway!!  The challenge is everyone favourite of “anything goes”, so we expect to see lots of gorgeous entries.  Here is my card:

I was asked to make this card by a friend of my mother’s and it is A5 in size.  I have used the fantastic ‘Paul texting’ image from Mo’s digital pencil and coloured it with my promarkers and flex markers.  Every edge is distressed to within an inch of their lives, which I think really works for a boys card.  I even decorated the inside but I stupidly forgot to take a picture d’oh!!

Our first sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp who are offering a $20 voucher (excl p&p) to one lucky winner and our second sponsor is Pink Cat Studio who are offering 5 digi stamps of the winner’s choice.

Team Carly have done a brilliant job as always (as well as a couple of Team Gem) so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

The crafty pad challenge – distressing/tearing

A spoonfull of sugar challenge – party time

Creative card crew challenge – anything goes

I love promarkers challenge – anything goes

Cardmadfairy’s digi days challenge – buttons

Paper cutz challenge – wish upon a star

2 sisters challenge – boys and their toys

Challenge up your life challenge – something for men

Crazy 4 challenges challenge – male themed cards

I hope you can play along with our challenge and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Before I go I would like to welcome my newest follower Daisyrand *waves hello* – welcome to my little corner of blogland, I hope you can visit me often.  I’ll be back a little later with my DT card for this month’s Bee Crafty challenge.  Until then have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Passion for promarkers #113–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope your Monday went well, my first day back at work went ok with lots to catch up with.  It was lovely to see my friends and they are so fantastic and really appreciate me when I’m back which is so lovely.  The day just whizzed by – which was fantastic – let’s hope the rest of the week is the same lol!

I don’t know if you remember me telling you but we were supposed to be having a new bathroom fitted whilst we were on our holiday but unfortunately our builder was still tied up on another job – well he finally arrived today so hopefully I will have a brand spanking new gorgeous bathroom very soon.  I have waited so long for this new bathroom, other things always seemed to need to be done before it but yay it’s finally being replaced.  I am so looking forward to seeing the finished result.

Ok, enough waffling, let’s get onto my card.  There is a brand new challenge this morning over at passion for promarkers challenge which has been set by Debs.  She has chosen the fun theme of “a pirate’s life for me” so we want to see all your pirate images and I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun with this one.  As luck would have it I needed a card for an order for a 5 year old boy so this theme was perfectly timed for me.  Here is my card (which is A5 in size):

The cute image is from DigiStamp Boutique and is called “pirate Josh and parrot” and I obviously coloured him with promarkers.  The papers have been in my stash for years and are by sandylion and I also came across the matching stickers whilst hunting around for embellishments.  The flash has glared on the smaller round stickers (which are coins by the way) but IRL they look really effective and perfect for a child’s card I think.  I added a computer generated sentiment and some natural twine from SU and my card was finished.  I hope the little boy liked it!

Our sponsor this week is DigiStamp Boutique and Sally-Ann is offering one lucky winner 6 digi images of their choice.  As you know I love DSB images and there are so many gorgeous images to choose from.  The winner will be spoilt for choice.

Cupcake Craft Challenge - DT project

The cupcake craft challenge this week is set by Jeanette and she asked us to make a project for Father's Day but it had to be anything but a card (gulp). Now as most of my regular visitors will know I don't really do 3d projects very often so this was a real struggle for me. Anyway I decided to jazz up a store bought gift bag as it was a plain cheesy hologram design. I covered the front of the bag with plain cs from the papermill shop and added dp by sandylion (which is fab and had a slightly distressed look to it). Then I added a border of plain cs along the middle and cut a decorative edge to one side with my fiskars scallop scissors. The image is a digi-image from DigiStamp Boutique called 'BBQ Jim' and I coloured him with my promarkers.
The sentiments are also from DigiStamp Boutique. The buttons are from a dovecraft embellishment kit and I made little tails for them out of thin strips of co-ordinating paper.
I'm quite pleased with the finished result. Don't forget to check out the other DT members creations as they are fab. Thanks for stopping by.
