Cupcake craft challenge #176–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again dear friends, I’m back as promised to share my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Maarit has set the theme and she has chosen “all you need is love”, so any occasion where love is the reason i.e. Valentine’s day, wedding, anniversary etc.  As I mentioned in my previous post it was my parents anniversary on the weekend and their friends asked me to make a card for them so it was perfect timing for me.  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 176 - all you need is love

CCC challenge 176 - all you need is love (close up)

I used a digi from Karen’s Doodles called ‘sweep me off my feet’ and coloured it with a combination of promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are SU! and the flowers and corner are from wild orchid crafts.  The sentiment was created on the pc.  The finished card is 8x8 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Tiddly Inks and one lucky winner will receive a $10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Update on my sister – she went for her biopsy result last Thursday and thankfully everything was clear.  They will follow her up again in 6 weeks time and then she’ll have another MRI scan in 6 months time to check nothing has changed.  It is such a weight off our minds and it was such a relief for her.

I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Stamp with fun #134–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a brilliant weekend, but as I always say on a Monday morning, it went too fast!!  The boys are on their half-term holidays from school this week so at least I can have stress free mornings getting ready for work!  The only drawback with them being home is that they eat everything in sight and make such a mess!!

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and we have a wonderful sketch by Andrea-Emmi41 for you to use.  Firstly here is my card:

and here is the sketch:

SWF #134 sketch

This card was made for an order that I had from a lady at work.  She only specified that she needed a 40th wedding anniversary card and that the couple liked dancing.  As soon as I saw this image at Karen’s Doodles shop I knew it would be perfect.  It was a bit touch an go for a while as the shop was down but thankfully it re-opened just in time!  The image is called ‘sweep me off my feet’ and I coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  I used some gorgeous ribbon with tiny hearts on each side but unfortunately I covered most of it up with embellishments lol!

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

OSAAT challenge – emboss it

Creative craft world challenge – numbers (on my sentiment)

Fab ‘n’ funky challenge – distressed or torn

4 crafty chicks challenge – marker it up

Shelly’s images challenge – show us what you got

Totally papercrafts challenge – layer upon layer

Our creative corner challenge – fabulous faces

Cupcake craft challenge #143–DT project

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down for my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again friends, as promised I’m back with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  The lovely Delphine has set the theme this week and she has chosen “bookworm” so we want to see an image with a book on it, someone reading a book or a bookmark.  I decided to use an image of books (and a bookworm) and make a bookmark.  Here it is:

CCC challenge 143 - bookworm

CCC challenge 143 - bookworm (close up 1)

CCC challenge 143 - bookworm (close up 2)

The fun image is from Karen’s doodles and is called ‘reading is fun’ and I coloured him with my promarkers.  I also coloured my white ribbon with my meadow green promarker so that it would match my project.  The papers are from Echo Park ‘springtime’ paper pack (I won a sample pack from the Claudia & company challenge a few weeks ago and it is lush! ).

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Emma’s store and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 gift voucher to spend in her online store.

Crafty Emma's store new logo

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ monthly sponsor and for May that is Crafts U Love and they are offering a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Stamp with fun #109–DT card

Hello dear friends, I hope you are enjoying the bank holiday weekend so far.  I know this is an early post from me but I will be posting an extra special cupcake craft challenge post later…..so you must come back and find out the surprise lol!

I am here at this ungodly hour to share my DT card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and this week our theme is ‘ribbon OR lace’.  I had to make a birthday card for my FIL, whose birthday was yesterday, so combined the two!  Now I can assure you that I have added a ribbon but stupidly covered most of it with my buttons lol!  Here is my card:

SWF #109 - ribbon or lace

SWF #109 - ribbon or lace (close up)

I used this fab image from Karen’s doodles called ‘my fix it grandpa’ as my FIL is a keen DIY-er and loves pottering about.  He is a very handy man to know!!  I used very manly colours of blue and brown and kept the embellishments to a minimum.  As I mentioned my barely visible ribbon (which has a star pattern on it) is almost covered with my die cut buttons d’oh!

The rest of the design team have created beautiful samples once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really love to read all the comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

I made this card for my boss who is retiring at the end of the week but we’re all going out for a meal tonight and we will be giving her card and present to her then.  The card is 8x8 in size as the whole team in work will be signing the inside and we needed lots of room!  As soon as I saw this image, which is from Karen’s Doodles, I knew it would be perfect as I know that is how happy I’m going to be when I retire lol!

This week we are sponsored by Bunny Zoe’s Crafts and the lucky winner will receive this adorable stamp.

My mother asked me to make a wedding card for her nephew (my cousin) so I thought I’d combine the two.  I hope she likes it as it’s the first time I’ve made a “distressed” wedding card!  Here is my card:
