Stamp with Fun #74 – DT card

Happy Bank Holiday Monday crafters - woohoo! an extra day off from work (sorry if you live outside of the UK).  I’m here to share with you my card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  This week we have a lovely sketch by Saphira to use.  Here is the sketch:

Sorry the pics are up to my usual standard (useless in other words).  It doesn’t help that the glare from the mirri card is almost blinding lol!

Cupcake craft challenge #67 – DT card

This week at cupcake craft challenge our theme was chosen by the extremely talented Kathrin and she asked us to make a ‘gift card holder’.  Kathrin kindly gave us the link to a tutorial to follow just in case we hadn’t made one before.  Now as I hadn’t I decided to follow the instructions (you can see them here).  I used gorgeous double sided paper (well it’s almost card it’s so lush) by imaginisce and the plain paper is making memories.  The sentiment inside is by SU from the sincere salutations set and the to and from stamp is by see d’s.  The cute little tree image on the front is studio g and I coloured the image with promarkers and added stickles to the stars.  The snowflakes are punched out with my MS arctic snowflake punch and the adhesive stones are PM.  The eagle eyed of you out there will notice I used my cooperative membership card instead of a gift card as I was not organised enough to get one *wink*.  I hope you will check out the rest of the DT creations as they are all stunning, and much more impressive than mine lol!  Please excuse the very wonky photo’s – I can assure you that I wasn’t drunk when I took them, I’m just a really bad photographer!!!

Passion for Promarkers week 2 - DT card

Well what a busy week we've had over at Passion for Promarkers! The response to our first challenge was incredible and we had over 130 entries lol! The standard of work was amazing and don't forget we will be announcing the winners of the mega prize on Thursday.

Right onto this week's challenge, which is to use Pastel Pink and Apple promarkers. For my card I used a download from DigiStamp boutique called 'ruby with present' and coloured her with my promarkers adding highlights on her sleeves with a white gel pen.

The promarkers I used were:
Hair - cinammon and cocoa
Top - pastel pink, apple and dusky pink
Trousers, shoes and present - Apple and grass
Skin - blush and pastel pink for rosy cheeks

The dotty and gingham dp is by making memories and the floral dp is a freebie from a craft magazine. The ribbon and flower button are also making memories and the other flowers were punched out the dp with my ek success punches (I know I use them on nearly every card I make but I love 'em haha). The 'so sweet' sentiment is by studio g and the 'happy birthday' sentiment is elusive images. The adhesive stones are papermania. I hope you all have a wonderful day in the sunshine. Cupcake Craft Challenge

It was my turn this week to choose a theme for the CCC so I decided to choose a card for a man or a boy, as they are usually so difficult to make for. It was my son's 15th birthday last Friday so as I had to make a card for him I combined the two. Now it's not my usual type of card but my son is a drummer in a band called 'zenith 7' (hence the Z on the drumkit) and he is into rock music so I thought dark and grungy was the way to go - thankfully he loved it! I stamped the drumkit and 'you rock' sentiment from a clear stamp set by stampendous called 'rock out' and the skull & cross bones and star stamps are from a clear set by kars called 'rocky star'. The dp is DCWV and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The images were coloured with promarkers and the ribbon and charm are from my stash. The happy birthday sentiment is stamping bella and I used a studio g alphabet set to stamp my son's name. The number stickers are also DCWV.

Now you may have noticed it's my blogoversary today - I can't believe that one year has gone by since I started this blog - and boy has my crafting come a long way (I hope lol). I have lots of lovely goodies to offer very soon but I think I will wait until the Passion for Promarkers candy and DT call are over so that my candy can be placed at the top of my blog for all to see. Deer Friend

I made this card for a friend at work who has had some bad news recently. I stamped the gorgeous greeting farm image from the forest friends set of stamps (available from dies to die for) and coloured him with my promarkers. I also stamped the image twice and cut out the front part of his body and his head and raised them up on 3d foam. The dp is all from SU's new range called ski slope (from Jules). The larger flowers are part of the blog candy from Sally-Ann and the smaller flowers were punched out of the dp with an x-cut punch. The corners of the dp were cut with fiskars corner adorner scissors and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment is a stamp by studio g. I followed the sketch from last week's stamp & smiles challenge but again was too late to enter it d'oh! Thanks for stopping by.

Papertake challenge/Mojo sketch challenge #74/Cupcake Challenge #27

The papertake challenge this week was 'a perfect match' so I made a card and altered a photoframe in matching colours - that brings me onto the cupcake challenge, which was to alter something. The sketch that I used for the card was the mojo sketch for this week. Well I say this week but I'm chasing my tail as usual and the challenges all change again tomorrow LOL! Anywhoo onto the deets of the card. I stamped my new (and gorgeous) angel anya by the greeting farm and coloured her with my pro-markers. I added highlights to her wings with a sakura stardust pen and stickles to her halo. The yummy dp is BG and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment was done on my pc. The "21" was done with stickers by creative imaginations and the pearls I only bought last week but I threw away the packet and can't remember who they are by. For the frame, sorry I forgot to take a before photo but it was plain wood colour. I sanded the frame and then coloured it with my trusty pro-markers. I punched various flowers and stuck them together using the same materials as for the card. The sentiment stamp I used is by studio g. I also added a faux stitched edge with a fine line marker pen. To be honest I'm not that happy with how the frame turned out (actually I think it's rubbish) but I wasn't going to enter the challenge and then changed my mind last minute but hey at least I had a go. Friday sketchers

This is my entry for this week's Friday sketchers challenge. I used a cupcake image that came free with a stamping magazine and coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp is from the cabana paper pack by inque boutique (although I forgot to round the corners - hope that is ok oops!). I stamped the sentiment by studio g and used sticky ribbon by papermania. It's difficult to see in the photo but I added stickles to the cupcake. Not my usual type of card as I don't like to leave such large open spaces, nice to try something different though I suppose. Friday sketchers

I made this card for this week's Friday Sketchers Challenge. I used another image kindly sent to me my Diane (she is sooo spoiling me) and coloured her with my pro-markers. I used bazzill cs and dp from the wedding stack by DCWV. The ribbon was from ribbon mad and the flower is by prima. The gingham paper, which I distressed, is by magenta. The gem brad is by dovecraft and the stamped sentiment is by studio g. Thanks for looking.

CCT & Penny Black Challenge

I've again combined challenges this week as I'm not had much time to craft, my grandfather has been back in hospital, so lots of visiting was in order. Anyway onto the card, the CCT challenge this week was "animals only" and the Penny Black Challenge was "snow much fun". I stamped the penny black reindeer image and coloured him in with pencils. I added stickles to his feet to signify snow & ice. I used american traditionals dp (tree design) but not sure who makes the stitched dp as it was a scrap left over from last christmas! Red cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment was by dovecraft (studio g). I used my new fiskars threading water punch for the decorative edge (I love it and it's so easy to do) and to add a little more "snowy" interest I added dots of glistening snow writer to the dp. .... I bet you wished I hadn't now!!

This was made for a friend in work who hasn't been feeling too good lately. I used a penny black stickeroo and the sentiment is by studio g. The DP was a small scrap that I had lying on my desk and I can't remember who it is by (sorry!). The glittery chipboard flowers are by craftime. Thanks for looking.
