ABC challenge/secret crafter challenge #54

Anniversary card (4)

The ABC challenge this week is ‘F for flying’ and the secret crafter challenge is ‘dig deep’ which means they want use to you an older stamp/image.  I used an older digi image from DigiStamp Boutique from the love birds collection and is called ‘family sing song’ and I coloured it with my promarkers.  The dotty paper is making memories and the blue paper is doodlebug.  The flower heads are from joanna sheen and the white flowers are imaginisce.  The ribbon is also making memories and the adhesive stones are PM.  The sentiments were created on the pc and the layout was an old sketch by dawny p.  I hope you are having a great Saturday.  I’m feeling a little better today, just this damn cough driving me nuts!!  Thanks for stopping by today.

A card for 6 challenges!

b'day card (6)

Sorry I’ve been MIA but it’s been a busy few days in work and I’ve been pooped when I’ve gotten home.  I’ll be catching up with everyone’s blogs over the weekend – I promise!   This is my card for 6 challenges this week – the pile it on challenge #18 is ‘3 dimensional’, the Friday sketcher’s challenge #72 is obviously the sketch I followed, the pollycraft challenge #25 is ‘5 “S” words’ (and I chose stripes and sparkle), the creative card crew challenge #31 is ‘it’s a celebration’, the secret crafter challenge is also ‘celebration’ and the anyone for anya? challenge is ‘you’re anya’.  I chose birthday anya as I have a very sweet tooth (that’s why I’m so cuddly) and could eat her cake at any time of the day or night lol :0).  For the pile it on challenge I interpreted the theme by stamping the cake twice and raising the second layer up with a foam pad (decoupage style), also my flowers and image are raised up on foam pads too.  I coloured birthday anya with my promarkers and used my rectangle nesties to cut it out.  The papers are all gorgeous BG from the sugared paper pad and the flowers were cut out with my ek success medium and small retro flowers.  The sentiment is SU from the circle of friendship set and was cut out with the SU 1” circle punch.  The ribbon is from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM.  Thanks for stopping by today.

A card for 4 challenges!

b'day card (8)

b'day card (8) close up

Hello, I promised I’d be back with a card….and I’m never one to break a promise (well not very often lol).  My card fits with 4 challenges this week – the stamp with fun challenge is a lovely sketch, the secret crafter challenge is ‘celebration’, the creative card crew challenge is ‘all that sparkles’ and the pile it on challenge is ‘let them eat cake’.  For my card I used a stamping bella image called cuppacakeabella and coloured her with promarkers adding stickles to the frosting of the cake (very shimmery IRL).  The papers are all DCWV from ‘the stack’.  The flowers were cut out of the paper with my ek success medium and small retro flower punches and the ribbon is american crafts.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my woodware circle punch.  This image is so popular with my friends and family and I keep having requests for it on a regular basis, so it was well worth the money!!  I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.  I’ll hopefully be back tomorrow with another card.  Thanks for stopping by.

b'day card (23)

This card fits in with 3 challenges this week.  The pile it on challenge #16 is ‘punches’, the charisma cardz challenge #37 is ‘flower power’ and the secret crafter saturday challenge #50 is ‘one for the girls’.  I used a freebie digi image by fred she said (who have some gorgeous digi images) and coloured it with my promarkers, adding highlights with a gel pen.  The papers are both DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The ribbon is SU and the sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval punches.  The adhesive stones are PM.  I hope you are having a good week, half way through already woohoo!  Thanks for stopping by.

Stamps & Smiles #24/Secret Crafter #41

b'day card (24)

This is my card for two challenges this week.  Stamps and smiles is a sketch, as usual, and the secret crafter challenge is ‘spots and stripes’.  I had to make a card for a lady at work so decided to combine these themes into my card.  The image and small sentiment is by stamping up from the ‘cheers to you’ set (which I ordered from Jules) and I coloured my image with promarkers and a white gel pen.  The patterned papers are by imaginisce and the plain brown paper is from a paper pack I got from QVC.  The sentiment is hero arts and the adhesive stone stars are PM.  I really like the simplicity of this card and I think it’s perfect for a man.  Thanks for stopping by today.

6 challenges in one!

cards2 002

b'day card (24) close up

I was on a roll with this card and I managed to fit in 6 challenges (a first for me woohoo!). The challenges are:

Pile it On – 3 different embellishments

Stamp with us – card for a child

Secret Crafter – 3 ribbons

Creative Card Crew – ribbons

Pollycraft – to the point - arrows (incidentally they have now changed their rules so if you don't have a pollycraft image you can still enter their challenges!

One Stop Craft Challenge – stars and stripes

I used a digi image called ‘skateboard Josh’ from DigiStamp Boutique and coloured it with my promarkers. The striped paper, ribbons, sentiment and ovals behind it are all SU. The plain cs and buttons are from my stash and I used my CB embossing folders on the cs (swiss dots on the blue and diamond plate on the red). The decorative edge was cut with my fiskars border punch and the arrows were cut out of the paper. The two small stars are adhesive stones by PM. I’m really happy with this card and was worried it would look too overloaded but I think it’s ok, let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by today.

SCSC #33

This is my entry to this weeks secret crafter saturday challenge, which is "new beginnings" and has been chosen by Gina. I was asked to make this card by a friend at work (and she specifically asked for a pink house!!). I used an image that was a RAK from Diane and coloured it with my promarkers. The gingham dp is from my stash (no name) and the dotty dp is by making memories (part of my fabby candy win from Sally-Ann). The black cs is from the papermill shop. The scalloped edge was cut with fiskars decorative scissors and the flowers were punched out of the dp with my small ek success retro flower punch. The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive stones are PM. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, the weather here is glorious - great for drying my washing lol! Thanks for stopping by.

Meet Ruby.....

This is one of the new digi-images available at DigiStamp Boutique. Sally-Ann has come up trumps this time as these images (there are 3 different ones) are really cute and girly. I printed out Ruby fairy and coloured her with my promarkers, adding stickles to her wings. The dp is mainly freebies from a card magazine except for the tiny piece behind the image which is doodlebug. The flowers and stars were punched out of the dp and I doodled around practically everything (lol) with a fineliner pen. The sentiment is by stampendous and the adhesive stones are PM.
I'm also going to enter this card for two challenges this week - charisma cardz #19 where the theme is 'a star is born' and SCSC #32 which is 'glitter'. Thanks for stopping by.

SCSC #26

This card fits the bill for this weeks secret crafter saturday challenge, which is 'stripes'. I also used the stamps and smiles challenge sketch #9 (but I was too late to enter it - as usual lol!). I stamped the PM robot image and coloured him with my pro-markers. The dp is all from the PM paper pad 'for him' and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment was created on the pc. As it was for a man I didn't add any fussy embellishments and the image was quite large so I thought it would look too cluttered to add too much. Thanks for stopping by.

PB #37/SCSC #20

This is my card for this week's penny black challenge, which is 'get well soon' and the secret crafter saturday challenge, which is a sketch. I stamped the gorgeous hedgie image and coloured him with my pro-markers. The yummy dp is by BG from the boxer paper pad and the plain cream cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment is elzybells and I punched it out using my new woodware retro word labels punch. The brads are from an embellishment kit by dovecraft and the adhesive pearls are by kanban (I'm loving these at the moment). The dinky flowers are prima. Thanks for looking.

Friday sketchers #39/SCSC #19

Warning: You may need sunglasses to view this card LOL!

This is my card for this week's friday sketchers challenge and the secret crafter saturday challenge which is 'spring has sprung'. I stamped the cc designs image and coloured her with my pro-markers. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the glittery cs is from the glitter stack by DCWV. The flowers and brads are from my stash and the adhesive dots are from QVC. The sentiment was done on my pc. On the friday sketchers sketch the image panel is supposed to be an oval but unfortunately I didn't have an oval cutter big enough so I did a rectangle, hope this is ok. Thanks for looking.

SCSC #18/Colour Create #2

This is my card for the secret crafter challenge, which is 'recycling' and the colour create challenge, which is 'peach & aqua'. I recently rescued some aqua tissue paper that a friend was actually going to throw away (shock horror) so I decided to use that on my card. I cut a piece for the background and added peach dp (from a paper pack from QVC). I punched 8 flowers from the tissue paper and doubled them up to make 4 flowers. I added white buttons by dress it up to the centres and added stickles to the buttons. The sentiment is WOJ which I stamped on a punched out circle and then cut in half. The ribbon is from my stash. This is so not my usual type of card and I'm not sure about it. Thanks for looking.

SCSC #17/OSCC #14

This is yet another late card for the SCSC 'at the zoo' challenge and the OSCC 'buttons & bows' challenge. I stamped the high hopes leo the lion image and coloured him with my pro-markers. The dp is all SU and the brown cs is bazzill bling. The buttons are doodlebug and the bows are from ideal world that I've had in my stash for many moons. I haven't added a sentiment as I'm not sure who it's going to be for yet. I shaped all the corners with my corner rounder punch. Thanks for looking.

OCCC/SCSC (that's alot of C's!!)

I made this card for my brother-in-law's birthday. I used the OCCC sketch for this week and the SCSC was a recipe '1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments. I stamped the FF image and coloured it with my pro-markers. The gorgeous dp is from the basic grey granola paper pad. The sentiment was done on the pc and the brads are from my stash. The circles on the dp have been highlighted with stickles (I hope stickles is counted as an embellishment) and the ribbon is also from my stash. Thanks for looking.

PB #32/SCSC #15/Cupcake challenge #23

I'm running extremely late with my challenges this week, but better late than never!! This week's PB challenge is 'let's get dotty', the SCSC is 'hearts' and the cupcake challenge is a sketch. I used my new PB stamp and coloured it with pro-markers. The dotty dp is by rob and bob, the black cs is from the papermill shop and the grey cs is by DCWV. The ribbon was cut out of an old top (waste not want not hehe!). The adhesive stones are PM. I'm really happy with this card, hope you like it too. Thanks for looking.

PB challenge #31/SCSC #14/Mojo Monday #69

I don't make ATC's very often but I am trying to do them more as they are so quick to make and look great as a topper if you've not got anyone to swap with. I made this ATC for the penny black challenge which this week is 'pink and brown', the secret crafter saturday challenge is 'anything but a card' and the mojo monday challenge is a sketch as usual. I used a penny black stickeroo which is super cute and great for a baby card. The dp is by creative imaginations, the brown cs is bazzill bling and the pink cs is from the papermill shop. The flower brads are from my stash (to be honest as soon as I get my brads, buttons, ribbons etc I open the packets and put them away in organisers so I can rarely remember where I got them from). The scallop circle was punched out with my marvy paper punch. All the edges were inked with a cat's eye chalk ink pad. Sorry for the poor pic but due to the reflection from the stickeroo it was really hard to photograph. Thanks for looking.

Pink Cat Studio Contest/Secret Crafter Challenge #13/Papertake challenge

I made this card for three challenges this week. The first one is the Pink Cat Studio contest for which you had to download the black and white Lily pic, colour her however you like and make a card (the contest end 13th January - just click the link for more info). The second challenge is the secret crafter challenge #13 which is a sketch and the third challenge was the papertake challenge which was 'seeing spots'. I obviously downloaded the Lily image and coloured her with my pro-markers and added sakura glaze pen to the flower. I also used my white gel pen to highlight certain areas. The dp by 3 bugs in a rug is double sided and I used both sides. The pink cs is from the papermill shop and the sentiment is by WOJ. The buttons are by doodlebug. Thanks for looking.

Secret Crafter challenge (and a large card)

The secret crafter challenge this week is 'paper piecing' and this is my card. I made this card a little while ago for my mother's friend. Her grand-daughter was turning 18 and she wanted a large A4 card. As I've stated previously I will make this size card when asked as a special request but they are not my favourite size (as it is a big surface area to fill). Anywho, onto the card. I stamped the stamping bella image, coloured it with my pro-markers and paper pieced her dress and the cupcake (I also added stickles). The gorgeous dp is cosmo cricket and as it's double sided I used both sides for colour matching. I used my sizzix die to cut swirls out of metallic cs by DCWV and added adhesive stones by PM. The sentiment was done on my pc. The flowers are from my stash.
